Went to Belton Eye Care and the girl named Sarah M helped me pick glasses. HIGHLY recommend asking for her once you get to the glasses picking stage. She helped me pick 20 pairs, and narrow down two that I liked. She has a lot of patience and even told me not to worry or feel bad for taking a while to pick because she even had a customer take 4 hours to pick some. Also Dr.McCown is really GREAT. Also recommend asking for him to get your eyes checked. This has been the best appointment I’ve ever had.

I went in to get a new prescription for my contact lenses. After the examination the doctor told me what my new prescription was going to be and I told him that there was no way that that was right. My previous prescription was plus 4.75 on my right eye and plus 4.50 on the left.He wrote me a prescription + 3.75 for both eyes.He gave me 2 sets of samples to bring home and I told him that this prescription was not right.He said that it is and this is what the numbers showed. I have not been back

Natalie assisted me with selecting my glasses, and I must say that her customer service was beyond exceptional! She went above and beyond which seems to be rare these days. The exam was well done from start to finish. I am very pleased with my experience

The eye doctor my children seen was very efficient & kind. However, the front office staff was not a reflection of this. It was our first visit & I will more than likely be looking into trying a different eye doctor in the future.

Best eye care in Central Texas. Staff is professional, courteous and able to answer any and all questions. They have fashionable and affordable eye wear. These folks are the best in the business and Belton is lucky to have them.

Contact trainer Sarah was great! She was way more patient with my teenage son who was getting contacts for the first time (took 45 mins!). We had a great experience and I’m grateful for her help.

I had a great first-time experience. Everyone was friendly and informative. Sarah helped me pick out my frames. She was awesome! She patiently waited for me to decide which frames I liked best. Natalie is the one who helped me. I loved the customer service she gave me. We tried on so many pairs of glasses and she was just so awesome and patient with me. I ended up buying two frames that I absolutely love because she took the time to look up different colors for frames.

Very disappointed. I brought in my prescription sun glasses. I had a new prescription I wanted put in them. I told them I wanted the exact same tint put on them. It was a smoky Grey and so dark you couldnt see my eyes. I picked them up a week later and they were a brown tint that wasnt dark. So I took them back and showed them a picture of my old ones and told them thats how they were suppose to look. So they redid them. I go back today and pick them up and they are a blue tint. And once again you can see my eyes through them. Not dark enough. I will never go back there.

Sarah in optical was very helpful when explaining my prescription and helped me understand the breakdown of my glasses compared to my contacts.

Everyone was so friendly! The doctor was very thorough and took the time to make sure my daughter and I got 20/20 vision! Joshua made it easy for us to find the right glasses!

The wait times are always long (weve been customers for years) but up to this point, the doctors have been worth it. When we got my daughter fitted for contacts, we were treated so poorly, I refuse to be seen there again. Customer service from the desk and glasses/contacts staff is almost always awful and I have had little success in having them answer phone calls or getting answers to my questions.

I have been going here a few years now and have always been very happy with the service. The entire staff is wonderful and very friendly!Natalie is AMAZING! She helped me find the perfect pair of glasses...she knows her stuff...the first pair she picked up was the perfect fit for the shape/size of my face. Natalie explained the different lenses and options, was very helpful, patient, knowledgeable and explained everything so that I could fully understand my options. Could not ask for better customer service! Thank you so much Natalie for making this experience so easy!

Prompt service and the staff is very friendly. I was in the waiting room and the tech came and called me back to start my treatment 5 minutes before my appointment. Very thorough exam and Dr. McCown answered any questions I had. Very pleased with Belton Eye Care Center.

From the time I enter until the time I left everyone was so very friendly and polite. I had a great experience they made sure I came out with what I needed as well as what I wanted (frames). Everything was explained very well by each person that assisted me and they were very knowledgeable of their job. I would most definitely tell others. Ive been bringing my son here for about 3 years

All the people at Belton Eye Care Center are so nice and go out of their way to help you.One thing that absolutely disappointed me was that they no longer sell Silhouette frames. I love my frameless glasses and was gonna spend a pretty penny to get me another pair. I guess I have to take my money somewhere else now.

First time ever at Belton Eye Care Center and it was a breeze. No crazy forms to fill out and they were on schedule so i was in and out with a new prescription in no time. Good amount of frames to select and if they dont have them they ordered them. Should get mine in soon. Definitely recommend it to anyone.

Front desk service was horrrrrriiiiblllllllleeee. Called to schedule an appointment and the women “Chrystal” I believe, was incredibly rude and was very sarcastic when answering questions I had about scheduling my first appointment here. I mentioned to a friend I was calling this business and they also told me their husband had an encounter with her being very rude as well. Seems she runs off business.

Overall, the Belton Eye Care Center is pretty great. The staff were very nice, and my doctor (I believe it was Dr. Wagner?) was very nice, friendly, and helped me feel comfortable. I went in for a routine eye exam and to get new glasses, both of which went well. The man who went over pricing and specific things for my glasses was very kind and helpful. My only complaint is the price. I really felt like over $400 was quite a bit much.

My 8 year old daughter received her exam, pain free and easy in easy out.We have found our optometrist in Belton, TX. Thankful for them.Donna

I had an unexpected visit to Belton Eyecare to rule out a potential medical problem. Dr.Josh McGowan was attentive and extremely thorough. I arrived feeling a bit anxious, but left feeling knowledgeable about the situation. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Sarah, the contact specialist, exercised so much patient with my 9 year old daughter. She spent a good amount of time training my daughter and making sure she was comfortable. Wearing a mask at school and her glasses constantly fogging has been a challenge. We love Sarah!

Sarah helped me right away when I thought I had a contact stuck in my eye. I was so worried and didn’t know if I should go to an emergency room or not but she helped me right away and didn’t charge. She looked in my eye and gave me drops for the pain. Excellent customer service I would definitely recommend!

I was treated very poorly from the time I walked into this eye place I was scheduled for a appointment that I arrived at a couple of minutes early just to feel out paper work and the receptionist made me feel very awful. it definitely was no reason for Belton Eye care staff to treat me so poorly today for my visit and I will not be returning. 0 stars are what should be given!

When I got there early for my appointment, there was a sign on the door that said call and wait in your car (to reduce the risk of covid). I called and was told that someone would be right out to my car to help me.. I waited 20 minutes and finally called back and they said they had no idea I was waiting and to come on in.. they didn’t discuss my billing and payment before my appointment. I was just rushed right in without any idea what was going to be done or how much it would cost. It was very unprofessional. On another note, Dr. Wagner was nice and Sarah was very helpful. I appreciated that. That is the only reason this is a 2-star review vs. a 1. Be better Belton Eye Care Center..

I absolutely loved my experience at Belton Eye Center. Dr. McCown was very knowledgeable edable, personable and was able to answer all of my questions. Being a new patient I was worried if I would have a good experience and they exceeded my expectations.

I went here 12/4/2020 and spent about two hours just getting my eyes examined. Its now 1/11/2021 my glasses arent finished and everytime Ive called to get an update someone promises to call me back and never does, thats if I can get ahold of someone. A lot of the time it goes to voicemail and I get a sorry we missed you text asking me to leave a time to call back or text a question and dont get a response with that either.

Only went to the Belton office because Temple was booked and I needed to get my college age daughter an exam before her holiday break was over and she returned to college.Front desk receptionist (ashlyn?) was extremely rude, hateful in her tone and condescending from the moment we walked in. I also noted her rudeness as she interacted with folks who called in and walked in afterward. Not once was she pleasant by any means. A downright hateful experience that put a bad taste in our mouth for the rest of the visit. Thankfully the doctor my daughter saw and also David (who helped with the contact prescription) were VERY polite and pleasant. Both The doctor and David was awesome and deserve 5 stars.I feel the front desk is the face of your business - and Ashlyn (?) definitely didn’t make your business look good. I’ve never been talked down to as much as she did to me and my daughter today. And by judging from the other reviews here and on Yelp- I’m not the only one who notes her rude behavior.

Belton Eye Care Center is the best. The whole team is very attentive and makes sure you are being helped. Christena is always so helpful. She makes sure that all my needs are met and goes above and beyond to help me and all patients whether it’s face to face or over the phone, she truly cares for her team and her patients. Dr. Weaver is very thorough with the exam and I appreciate his explanation when I might be confused about something. The whole team at Belton Eye Care is wonderful and I look forward to my yearly visits.

Great Doctor!! Really bad customer service! After wearing my contacts for a week I was told to call the office and let them know how they were so that they could finish my prescription, and then I could order mine... I was calling for over 2 months and yes leaving messages along replying back to automated txt messages no answer, no return call nada. Really bad bedside manners and customer service. The Doctor was great my daughters and I enjoyed her a lot!

Very pleasant experience today. In fact, Ive been a patient for many years and have been pleased with their services all along. Today I saw Sarah, who delivered my new glasses very professionally. She was fantastic, and even agreed with me that I now look so much younger! Seriously, this clinic provides a great service to our community. Thank you.

The environment did not seem as cheerful and welcoming. Could be due to COVID. I also was suprised to see how much the annual contact lens exam went up woth new ownership, from 25 for all to nearly 100 now if you have astigmatism. Also, they do not have prices on their frames anymore for you to browse whats within your budget. Lastly, during the actual exam, the lens lept fogging up due to my mask. I asked if i could pull it down amd was told only below my nose. It still fogged up, so difficult to see so probably not ideal for eye exam. I had consecutive appointments for several people in my family and everyone seemed to just be going through the motions.

I had a great first time experience here today. All three of my kids had an annual exam. I expected things to be wonky because of Covid and all but it wasn’t... we were in and out in no time and everything went smooth. Arrival procedures were very clear, the optometrist was very personable with my kids, and checkout was quick.

This was my first visit to Belton Eye Care Center. Everyone I interacted with was friendly, helpful and professional...Dr McCown was very thorough and addressed all of my concerns. I will definitely ask for Dr McCown again..Natalie was exceptionally helpful, she took the time to help me find the perfect frames! She was knowledgeable on everything I needed to get my lenses...and she did it all with a very personable and friendly attitude!

My trainer on how to put in my contact lenses in her name was Sarah and she did really good and my training was fast and efficient it only took me 15 minutes when sometimes it takes 30 ... I definitely consider her.

I was really excited to establish a relationship with a highly recommended eye doctor for my family but didn’t get that chance due to your unhelpful, argumentative office staff. A call-center worker made a scheduling error, booking both of our appointments at 10:30. We have 4 text messages proving this. We were scheduled under our last name together and were repeatedly told by the office staff that we were late for our 10:10 appointment when in fact, we were early as it was supposed to be 10:30. Although we were offered to keep the 10:30 appointment for one of us, we declined service as we are quite frankly offended for being made out to be liars. I am very disappointed that I waited weeks for this appointment so my family could establish care with a local eye doctor when I could have gone to America’s Best much sooner and have been treated much better. I understand mistakes happen on both sides but the customer is not always in the wrong and customer SERVICE should still be top priority in any business. Be helpful to your clients and try listening because, believe it or not, sometimes it’s the company that makes the mistake.

If I could choose a 0 for a rating I would. My husband took my eldest son her 2wks ago. Went into the office with no mask. My husband has a medical condition, but my son wasnt wearing one either. They were seen with no issues. This morning, we had an appointment for my 2 little ones. We ALL walked in with no masks. They checked us in and called for my son in the back. My husband went back with him. 10-15 mins into the appointment, some lady walked in to the room and ask us to leave. She was very rude and unprofessional. Firstly, no signs are posted about requiring to wear a mask. Secondly, my husband was there before with no issues, and thirdly, why would you wait 30 mins, from the time we walked in the door till the time you called us back and into the appointment, then ask us to leave? Why not ask us to leave before we check in or right when we walk in the door?? They refused to let us talk to a manager or doctor that was there. They also refused to provide contact information for a manager or doctor. This was very rude and unprofessional. If you had a policy about masks, it should be posted (per the ordinance). However, it is not law for us to wear one. We should have been refused service from the beginning, not 30 mins into 1 of our appointments and you should have refused my husband the first time 2 wks ago when he came in their. You cannot pick and choose what days you are going to service people without masks. You either service people without masks or you dont. I will never go back to this business. Very unprofessional!

I took my son in for his 1st eye screening due to headaches & vision not being clear. Upon arrival we were met by, Im assuming their insurance coordinator that never introduced herself nor was friendly, that had trouble finding his insurance when all information was given a couple of hours ahead of time so we had to wait more than 15mins to be seen and just left us standing at the door. The doctor was wonderful and very nice to my son. Picking out glasses was very easy & we were served quickly. We were told our glasses would be in roughly around Aug 11, when never texted or called, I called instead around Aug 21 to see the status of glasses and received a call back on Aug 22 that they would put some type of rush on them and would call me back right away once they found out what happenedto them. Ive sent texts and left voicemails since then and its now going on 6wks WITHOUT any glasses nor have I heard from anyone since the 22nd. I just want my sons glasses!
