While shopping to help a friend that lost everything, this place came highly recommended. I however, will probably find any other place to shop but here. The staff was not friendly at all and its no wonderful because the manager, she was very rude and snappy. Then they gave me prices on the fly and overcharged me, including weighing the cart. I spent $43. on 4 bin items that mustve weighed about 11lbs. They persisted & was very nasty. Ill go somewhere else and pay full price, before I deal with obnoxious place that reselling donated items!!!!!
Interesting shopping experience. They bring out a large warehouse full.of rolling tubs full of donated products. You pay 99 cents per pound. Be prepared. There are regulars who are ruthless. Its amazing watching adults tear through (sometimes destroying) items literally throwing them through the air if they dont meet their approval. You can find treasures...especially books. Toys and kid clothes and stuff are abundant. Staff are nice and helpful. A well run store. I give goodwill 5 stars and the regular customers one star.
I’ve been going here for years and it’s one of the best places to find the most random treasures. Be prepared to spend at least an hour here haha. It’s hit or miss, some days you find a ton, other days you find nothing. Staff is always really helpful and friendly. The only downside is how aggressive the other customers get, but goodwill does their best to control this.
This place is a thrift shoppers paradise. You should make sure you being gloves and be ready to do some digging. I went in the store thinking 20 buck limit. Iended only spending 25 cause of a last minute find. Wear comfy shoes and get yourself ready to start digging and get ready to find your treasure now :).you are welcome ahead of time:)
My friend Juli frequents this outlet for items to resell on the internet. I was along for the ride. I prefer the stores more than the outlet. They are usually cleaner and definitely more organized.
Pay by the weight. Pick from giant bins to root through and you never know what youll findMust visit to appreciate check times
Worst Goodwill Outlet I’ve ever been to. The Bins in New York, Connecticut and South Hackensack in NJ are far better. Most of the items here are caked with dust or sopping wet. It is common to find shoes with no pair and books missing their spines. It does not appear that any attempts at organization have been made. This is a store where dreams come to die. Save yourself an hour of disappointment and drive to the one in South Hackensack instead.
It was crazy. Everyone was grabbing items and throwing them in carts without even looking at them. I never saw anything like this before.
This is not a typical Goodwill store, it is a goodwill outlet store. The difference is at the outlet you have to dig through bins for items. A lot of stuff is just garbage, but if you get there early enough you can find some good things. The prices are great as well, shoes are anywhere from $1.50 to $2.50, I believe books are under a dollar, furniture and big items are priced as marked, all other items in the bins cost I believe a dollar per pound. So if you can find some great items that dont weigh a lot you can really make out like a bandit!
If you enjoy rooting through laundry bins of stuff with nothing specific to buy, then this place is for you. Ive bought kids toys, coffee filters, shoes and some clothes but nothing valuable yet. It is a hit or miss type of place. Bring gloves.
This store, sorted and marked up pricing on clothing, shoes bags and housewares. The bins. No comparison to other goodwill outlet stores NJ Goodwill the worst
It’s a lot of fun treasure hunting here B but be prepared for chaos, it’s mostly resellers tracking anything they can as fast as they can
Its been pretty much picked thru. Good Will sells on ebay. This is the stuff that they cant or would not sell at their stores and online. Be very careful reaching into the bins. Broken glass etc.
NO STARSThey advertise to operate until 6pm. I walked in the door at 5:45pm and was greeted by a very aggressive little man screaming at me that shopping hours were over. Considering there were three check out lines full of people and I was looking for a specific item, I explained this to him, was again met with rebuff, but I quickly looked up the aisles. Another man came and told me they were closed. It was 5:55. I told him that was poor business practice and when I asked his name he had nothing to say.
I love the small personal treasures and other stuff that I can find here. The staff are friendly and the place is okay clean.
Its different everyday, they could have good stuff here but you got to dig for it. And the staff isnt the friendliest
I feel bad for this store. I used to work here and they have to sift through the stuff in the back of through the store for their own flipping hustle. I collect video games and they never have the games inside the case, only the box and manuals. Its like the workers at the back steal the prize before anybody can get to it. Sad I have to write this... but it is what it is. Learn how to run a business
Its a good place to get books & little nick-nakes.
Always finding good stuff here!
Ive been shopping at this store since they first opened and i love the thrill of the hunt!! Unfortunately #1: they make the customers stand outside even if its raining/freezing while they bring out new tables, #2: they havent allowed anyone to use the restrooms in more than a year which is really bad because theyre located in a industrial district with no stores within miles so youre pretty much stuck. And now they have the video games in a cabinet, clothes hanging on racks and the shoes on crates so basically its turning into a regular Goodwill...
This was the worst experience Ive ever had in a retail store of any sort. I was shopping around the store around 5:40-5:45pm when this employee started literally screaming at me to stop shopping and leave. He told me my shopping was done for the day then told me to GET OUT! I informed him of the time and he responded, its time to leave now get out! I have never been so disrespected and it took every ounce of self control i possessed not to put my hands on that disrespectful man considering he spoke to my wife in the same fashion. I will NEVER be returning to this store and if you dont want screamed at and berated as if you were a child I dont suggest you visit here either.
Its a pretty wild place. You go thru large pins of detritus looking for nuggets if treasure. Its kinda cool if you like that sort of thing and have a good eye.
This place is great! Bring gloves and goggles. You never know what youll find. Staff does a great job at keeping people in order as some of the customers will run you over and push you out if they could. But staff is great!
During my time searching through the bins at this location, a lady walked towards me and started yelling at me like she was my mom... it turns out, shes the manager. That lady is awful. It also seems like the employees separate ALL the expensive inventory and mark them at a higher price than other outlets in the area. I saw shoes marked at $5-$10, but outlets usually have the same brand of shoes selling by the pound.. which is weird for this outlet to do. All the shoes in the bins were worthless and looked like they were bitten by dogs because all the decent shoes were marked up. Alot of the marked up shoes are not worth near $10 either. This is the first and last time I end up at this outlet.. you might as well go to a non-outlet Goodwill store, if youre looking for marked up inventory. Whoever had the bright idea to mark-up inventory at a Goodwill outlet, sure is losing their customers and probably lacks the knowledge in Business Analysis. Management should get a bachelors degree in Economics or Business Administration in order to understand the bigger picture in trying to do things completely different from the Business model of Goodwill Outlets. This outlet doesnt realize that the penny pinching on shoes not worth $10, are going to REALLY penny pinch them when customers start to look elsewhere for shoes AND other items. I think they forgot there are also OTHER outlets customers can just go to, to receive better treatment and deals.
Great store you never know what you find
Such a weird experience, tons of empty boxes in the bins
This good will is filthy, unorganized, and workers are rude
They have nice household items at nice price quality as usual must be picked quickly.
The outlet store was ok... a lot of DVDs and miscellaneous stuff. .99 a pound, there was a mad rush into the building after waiting outside for a long time. Staff is good.
Its a treasure hunt here but my only complaint would be that some of the people that come here are not as friendly
Stand in line in the freezing cold. I first get in line there are about 5 people ahead of me, by the time they let everyone in again, there was 15 people ahead of me. One guy just pulled up, others were coming out of store with their bags, putting bags in car and going to the front of the line. The employees obviously can’t see this happening because they are inside doing their job, so it’s not their fault, but something has to be done to make sure it stays fair. Those who wait in line longer should go in first period! Hopefully they do somethng about this in the near future.
The manager is horrible. Does not execute rules or social distancing properly. Causes public scenes. Harasses customers. Yells at customers and does not listen to what anyone (including her own employees) has to say. Would be better run by any of the other employees. It is not difficult to execute the rules to the right people. Not everyone plays fair, and yelling solves absolutely nothing. If she listened to everyone, checked cameras, and respected people it wouldn’t be so bad. She needs to go.
First time visiting this store. Disappointed by how empty the bins were at 9am when they first opened the doors. Most of them were filled with broken pieces, missing parts and garbage. We were out by 9:30am.
Disappointing. I love to go thrift stores and go every chance I get, but this place made me feel l like I was picking through multiple mini dumpsters! They really need to rethink the way they operate.
Lots of Stuff...Nice people...and its Cheep.
Things would go smoother maybe if there was a loudspeaker so we could hear intstructions, and timed warnings before you have to finish shopping, especially since you now have to check out once bins are being changed. there is this sense of urgency for customers that know the items will never go back out for sale and havent finished looking.
Love this place. You have to sort through alot of junk but treasures can be found if you have the patience and a keen eye. Prices are awesome!
Crowded, half clean and half dirty. People pushing you around the bins. Staff kinda rude. But, a few good finds there cheap. It was definitely a experience!
It was ok, people grab whatever they can get their hands on and sort later. Wish it was more organized and people would take what they wanted and not fill their carts just because its there. I usually find enough items to make the trip worth it.
Theres a clear difference between making sure that everyone can hear the rules and yelling at customers who more than likely do not understand english. The Mananger is absolutley rude. I tried to ask her if the bathroom was open. She responded but either i couldnt understand her or didnt hear her, probably both. I asked her to repeat herself and she became highly disrespectful. I ended up continuing my shopping. I became even more disturbed when i overheard male employees talking inappropriately about female customers. The employees and managers could benefit from a course on how to be decent individuals and how to treat customers with respect. I dont plan on coming back, unless i absolutely have to. If things like this keep up, youre going to lose a lot of customers.
Not impressed really not impressed as an avid thrifter. I found the outlet to be a bit of a mess and no much going on. Half of the clo4hes were wet which made them smell and non appealing. The furniture had some good pieces yet over all not that impressed.
I absolutely loved it! But I didnt! But I did. Place was amazing but dirdy. I found a lot of really really really good finds in the binz. My best find was a Paul Goldschmidt SQUEEZYMATE that only weighted 0.6 oz.. Thats only 3.71 cents!!!!!!! It was found at the bottom of a bin covered in uncircumcised garbage. It was a one great find. Normally Squeeymates are 5 whole dollars but I gots mines for 3.71 cents. That was only the beginning tho my dudesI kept looking through the uncleaned but cinnamon for amazing bins. You will never ever ever guess what I found in that bin. I found a Bills teentmante that only weighted 0.2 oz. It was bananas. I broke out into a full on dancing celebration. The regulars were very confused but the employees completntented me on how fine my moves were. They were very kind and said I looked just like a famous tiktoker. I said I aint no corvette boy and continued looking through them bins. Then I found good once againI aint talking about no carrots but rather 10 whlle pokemon cards. I found 4 sleeves (3 Team and 1 Sun and Moon) and 4 were energies and 6 were pokemon/trainers. I was amazing my brosefs.Mist important rule is to bri g gloves. Im not talking about a baseball mit because those should be reserved for ballgames only, rather Im talking about gloves to protect you from the incrimccized trash and germs. My boy Ruslan said to be an entrepreneur and this looks likes like my start. Well... maybe. I dont want to be like one of those resellers because they have a bad reputation. Anyways I deeply recomentd this palace to anyone becuase it is great!!
Terrible that they let the foreigners hoard all the clothes and shoes and pocketbooks and they fill their carts to the tippy top and then they sift thru it all and throw the crumbs back in the bins. Then they go back outside in line to be first to do it all over again. And the regulars think they own the place and dont even stand in line they put chairs and trash to hold their spots .Then they let the rest of their families show up last minute and jump the line outside . Disgrace..very poor management, because the management allows it.
This is the ONLY goodwill outlet that separate all the “good” shoe brands and price them at $5 or $10. Please do yourself a favor and find another NJ outlet. The manager is always yelling at people. And Im thinking of contacting the VP of Goodwill outlets NJ through her linkedin profile and send her a message about how this specific outlet has a different business model than other outlets. I visited this place almost 7-10 times already and I see the same stuff always out
Not for me they had nice furniture
I could not use enough sanitizer
Not your typical goodwill - they turn over their items every few hours, great deals! take the bellmawr exit if you are on route 55. Although, this is a few hour ordeal as there is many items to look through. this is not a typical store this is a major outlet.
You can find good bargains
I worked for the goodwill outlet store in bellmawr from sept. 2020 to nov.2020 . I was a newer hire and i was still on the probation period, which meant i could be let go for little to no reason. The work environment was highly toxic. Coworkers would call out constantly, would take about 6 cigarette break a shift and take a half hour or more doing so. I was relased from my employment, for not meeting satisfaction on little things(i.e. not doing a good enough final sweep). On the other hand my coworkers, most whom do not know how to treat customers or address them properly, have cursed at customers, yelled at customers and 2 coworkers almost fought customers as well. Have in mind that a good portion of customers dont understand or speak english. It seemed like 1 coworker and myself knew how to talk to customers and treat them with respect and the customers appreciated us.While im now jobless, the people who almost fought customers, cursed at customers, and yelled at customers are still employed and interacting with customers. Highly toxic and highly stressful work enviroment. wouldnt suggest ANYONE to work here.
Well Goodwill Distribution very good workers they really help us a lot for a job training and I really do appreciate
They charged $8 for the same mirror Walmart charges ~$5.
There are ppl walking around with list... seems like a scavenger hunt going on, I want in.
Went at opening on Sunday at 10am. Spent 20 minutes in the place and already they told us to get in line. This is rediculous to spend gas going there and time only to be told to get in line 20 min later. Sure you can stand outside for 40 min while they bring more stuff out but what if you dont have 40 min and have to leave.I wont be wasting gas to go to this store.
Not like other bins... I went last tuesday before halloween,1) they mark up the shoes to $5-102) no social distancing, no one bin per person. I had people constantly breathing down my neck and I would have to change bins.IF YOU ARE AT RISK FOR COVID-19, STAY HOME.3) before the bin change, the manager did not just yell loudly so everyone could hear, she started yelling at individual customers (myself included) to “get in line and stop sifting”. Mind you, I was only sorting through the items that were already in my cart while in line...4) Ah, the line. No social distancing, again. The employees were actually ushering about 20 people into a tight, 2 open register only space. Not worth the prices, not worth the spreading of the virus. Do yourself a favor and go to another outlet. One where they dont mark up prices and where employees and customers alike get treated with respect.Management:Needs a serious overhaul. I read other reviews similar to my own, with the manager cowardishly attacking them claiming their reviews were false.I worked as a manager of a Platos Closet, buy sell trade store for years with a constantly changing inventory. Never have I ever seen customers get treated with such disrespect. Its quite shameful for those of us who appreciate retail customers, because lets be honest, they could buy the same sh*t online. The manager needs to check her own ego before it shatters their business any further.
If you love the thrill of the hunt, this is the ultimate digging for treasure... wear rubber gloves for safety as there are pieces of broken glass, random knives and fish hooks, etc.
If you dont mind picking through Industrial size bins that are not organized in any set order, u can find some really nice things for dirt cheep. An employee even volunteered n out a big piece of furniture in my car for me.
The employees were very helpful they helped me carry out all my purchases to my car
I have not been to a goodwill outlet before and this is the closest one to me. I started reading reviews online and see what seems to be the owner responding negatively and outlandishly to consecutive and honest reviews. This seems extremely unprofessional. Not to mention this persons lack of using coherent sentences and grammar...
A good place hunt for thrifters
A lot of broken things with a lot of children clothing
Good stuff but no cleaning dirty smells.
Most everything is sold by weight. 99 cent per pound on most except for shoes, books and glassware
Big variety of stuff.
Im sure good stuff can be found there, but this really is the thrift store dregs. You sift through bins that for the most part arent sorted, a lot of the items are broken or missing parts. Pay by the pound.
Happy to see them back open but they have got to make a better process about bin change.... Making everyone leave out! Is not going to cut it!!
Not impressive, they dont adhere to their own policies, things are over priced, and they rate people before issuing prices of priced items.
Overwhelming on first visit. Just dealing with the aggressiveness of the regulars who are there all day. Those who push didnt like to be pushed back. You pay by weight. Some real good finds if you can get too it!
The Manager SCREAMS at loyal customers. Unorganized since the ASSISTANT MANAGER got fired for mo apparent reason smh. Poor Management and Distribution looks at SEASON tickets and what items they can take to sell for profit. Customers are LOYAL and SHOULD B treated FAIRLY. They throw away donations that could B used in proverty communities. When the Covid-19 hit...they where literally THROWING AWAY NEW MERCH CUZ THEY HAD NO WHERE 2 PUT IT SMH...NEEDS HELP AND it starts at the TOP LEVEL...
Great place to find bargains. But be prepared to sort through bins of junk to find your treasures. Recommend wearing work or garden gloves. Keep in mind this is the stuff that didnt sell. I go several times a month and never leave empty handed.
The Goodwill Outlet is not a regular type of thrift store. Everything is thrown into bins that you have to dig through for your treasures and the items are sold by weight. It’s messy, dirty and sometimes dangerous, watch out for sharp objects! But it is a great place to find hidden gems. The people who work here are very nice and helpful if you have questions. I’ve gotten great deals on great items.
Never got inside, people were waiting in the parking lot in lawn chairs. Like nothing Ive ever seen .Maybe it was a free giveaway?
Looking from the reviews the manager is terrible. She leaves snarky responses to legitimate criticism.
Horriblebad enough you wait in line for 30 min to get in. but is very disorganized inside.never again
A bunch of greedy people
Store is filthy, dingy, and should be more accountable for what they put out on the floor. No one wants bed bugs or odd growths from their clothes. I never realized how many people dont use deodorant until I gave 2nd hand clothes a chance... And only chance. Never again
Just a bunch of bins with stuff and mostly trash. Everything is super cheap. Not somewhere I would really recommend to someone unless they are on a tight budget and need furniture.
It’s hit or miss. It’s fun to search though. I usually spend about 30 dollars for a cart full of stuff that if I bought each item brand new would cost at least 200 to 500 bucks. Again, it’s hit or miss.
I understand that its the leftovers but I felt filthy just picking through the bins. It was making me itch so I had to go wash my hands before I left. They need to be better organized with all of that. This is my second time here in a couple years and it will be my last. Ill stick to the regular Goodwill and Salvation Army stores.
Always finding something you want or need. Amazing number of open bins with untold items. Great fun!
Awesome great hidden place
You get what you see here. Sometimes its trash, sometimes its gold. They rotate the bins every couple hours and people can get real pushy. (Please stop doing that people) The staff is nice. Sometimes I feel like they have been through it all though. (Again, please be nice). You pay by the pound which is good. Weekends are crazy. Watch the stuff you put in your cart, sometimes it walks off. (Again, be nice)
This was the worst goodwill outlet I’ve ever been to. It was truly just a collection of trash thrown into the bins. There was almost no clothing, clothing/housewares/shoes weren’t separated, everything was just tossed together and much of it was moldy, obviously damaged, single shoes, etc., and not very much of it. It wasn’t even worth picking through, and I’m a really devoted picker. What a disappointment.
The young girl at the first register as soon as you walk in is in desperate need of people skills. Telling someone food and drinks arent allowed with a sassy attitude and a smirk without a greeting and/or pointing out the tiny signage really makes me question the organization as a whole. Not a fan!
I gave this place a low rating because I didnt care for it personally but you can go here and give I your own opinion.
Staff was very helpful and friendly.
Want to find treasures at near free prices? Go here! Just dont use the bathroom or ait on the dusty floor. And wear gloves while looking through the bins...theres sharp stuff in there!
I used to love this place but now they let their employees go through the stuff before they bring it out they used to bring new Bins constantly and now it takes forever just to get one round because they take so long sifting through and picking through it it used to be amazing now I rarely go there since its been under a new manager youd really dont find that much good stuff
Be patient while youre in. First, it looks like few racks full of old things; but you start digging, you will find items carrying famous brands labels. The funny part, at the register they dont even check their value, they put them on scale and charge you 99 cents a pound. I always pay cash, and leave tip but i always have the impression i am stealing from this place...
Very well organized and the workers are very, very sweet people. Just always be cautious when new bins come out because pickers can be super aggressive. Overall great place.
Nice place to find antiques if u are a collector not many people knows that good place to go !!
To me it was like trash picking that you have to pay for. At least when you trash pick you may get something nice. I thought I was on Candid Camera, I am talking about the Goodwill in Bellmawr Industrial Center. I wouldnt give any stars but I had to pick at least one I would give a -⭐ if I could of.👎😕
Here nothing is on racks. The bring items out in bins. You rummage through and then pay by the pound. Savings is amazing.
First time there. Very pleasant people woking there. Brought coat, books, very needed shopping bag, fan that works good. They had alot of nice things not expensive.
Like others have said, regular shoppers can be extremely aggressive and resort to cussing and bullying to intimidate you. At most Goodwill outlets the rules are that aggressive shoppers (whether its verbal or physical in nature) are to be disciplined but I just witnessed the most atrocious abuse by a group of regular shoppers (who are resellers and go there EVERY day) attack a young girl who got to the item they talked about getting first. They followed her around, cursed her and she ended up telling the manager who then approached the aggressor. The aggressor continued to harass the young girl and she was literally shaking and in tears, the aggressors team members then proceeded to call her names and then go to the director to complain about the young girl. The director basically pointed the finger at the young girl even though she was bullied and attempting to defend herself. I think this is due to the director/managers relationship with those resellers. I think this is so wrong and I have never been so turned off by the greed of these people.I called corporate offices and they told me that my witness statement would only be forwarded to that same director of this Bellmawr outlet which defies the purpose since she is clearly one sided. I really felt so bad for this girl. No one deserves to be treated that way. The way in which the matter was handled by the manager and director was BS, they allowed several people bully and be aggressive which is a safety issue. I will be reporting this to the BBB.
Really affordable thrift store. Great to find diferentes pieces of clothing for an affordable price
Youll need some time to look through all of the bins, its a fun experience. KEEP HAND SANITIZER HANDY! Some people that shop here NOT ALL, can be a little over the top, rude and aggressive. dont be that person and just stay to yourself.
