One of my favorite things had been was the Salad Sampler: 4 selection for $4.99. A great chance with a couple of favorites and a couple of items you have a chance to try ones you may -- or may not -- like. If I find I didnt end like one, there were still samplers that I would like, and have a running list of single selections.I was looking at my choices; including some ones of meatballs. I wasnt sure about the meatballs, if this I would like it.But, hey, thats the point of a selection!However, the server said no. The server didnt think the selection for only items. Not only some things, but not other things.So, I didnt take anything, leaving 3/4 items I got a lot less altogether. Guess the selection is a bit of a bait-n-switch.

If you want to shop somewhere folks wear masks and are considerate of others— don’t shop here!!! Staff doesn’t enforce the Washington state EMERGENCY MASK MANDATE. Super lame!

I would rate higher if it werent for the fact that I ordered my daughters cake for Friday, but got it Saturday.I even asked the gentleman if Friday was too soon, since it was Thursday. He said no.When I had the picture dropped off, the bakery was closed. So no one knew anything about the cake. Leaving them too uncomfortable to leave the picture with unknowing hands.Then the bakery calls me on Saturday asking about the picture.I tell her that I had ordered it for Friday not Saturday and she seems totally unconcerned or even apologetic about that fact that my daughters party was ruined.Oh, but they still tried to charge me $6 for a photo cake that had no photoTheir cakes are absolutely amazing though.They need to bring back whipping cream icing

Love the store and most of the employees but it rubs me the wrong way that the whole deli department has several employees with their masks around their chin, we have these protocols for a reason.

I was in on Monday morning Nov. 1st around 10:30. I just had a few items and even though the check-out lines were a little busy I got in line anyway as I HATE self-check out for a myriad of reasons and I really don’t mind waiting. Well a young lady by the name of Jen M wasn’t having it and she came over snd got me out of the line and insisted on helping me with self-check even though I told her I hated it. She was charming and hysterically funny and I enjoyed the banter back and forth with her. She is definitely a keeper folks. I don’t often shop at Bellingham Safeway as I live on the other side of town and I don’t drive but I walked over there because it was a nice day out. Sadly because I was giggling so much l left some of my items there by mistake but that’s on me and I did get what I actually came for so no big deal. I just wanted to give kudos to Jen M and thank her for her great customer service and cracking me up. Sincerely, The old lady in the blue down jacket who couldn’t get any brown mushrooms. Ha ha!

Decent store. Not the best not the worst. They have terrible signal in their building for some reason. Cant use any of their digital coupons because as soon as I enter the store 0 bars, no signal. In the parking lot, full coverage.

They always seem to have the best selection of everything often new products that other stores are not carrying . Great produce section that is easier to maneuver than Freddys. I try to go in the mornings during the pandemic it becomes pretty busy in the afternoons.

Safeway looks much nicer than it used to. The prices are low and it is good food, not as good as trader Joes.

Exactly what I want they have 8 out of 10 times. Good deals on meats fish. And advise is at the ready.

I dont understand why, but every Safeway store Ive ever been in STINKS like poor quality seafood. It hits you as soon as you walk in the front door. Other than the stink, this is a good store with mostly stocked shelves and OK pricing.

Love that theyre open during the late hours of the night to early hours of the morning, considering I like to do my grocery shopping when the store isnt so over-crowded. Most often its empty during these hours, so I get room to roam the big isles and dont get the funny looks if I happen to think out-loud about my meal plans. ..lol. Could do with a little more sales and coupon offers, but definitely my top five stores in whatcom county.

There is a very kind African American lady in the flower department. She is always so cordial and helpful.There is a white lady in the flower department with dark hair who was pretty sarcastic to me today. Try to learn from your nice coworker maybe. Five stars for nice lady, star lost for sarcastic lady.

This Safeways sushi chef seriously deserves a raise. By far the best sushi Ive ever gotten from a grocery store.

Our Safeway is not close to us so we dont go there often but if there is a special item that Fred Meyer to doesnt have well go the extra miles. Safeway is clean well ordered with wide isles and good fresh produce and specialty items. Wish it was closer.

Ive had several unfavorable experiences with Safeways Drive-Up & Go. My instructions are often not followed, so many times, I dont get items that I need even when I call ahead to make sure they are put on hold for me. Items that Im told (over the phone) are in stock, are listed as out of stock in my Drive-Up & Go purchase. Several times, Ive tried for between 15-30 minutes to get a hold of someone, just to let them know that Im there to pick up my order. Quite a few times, Ive had to call the store directly, and ask for assistance. The wait time is just unacceptable. The repetitive nature of these issues definitely frustrates me. I understand that they may be short-handed, but I dont think Im asking for anything extraordinary. It might be time to shop around.

You guys really need to have someone at the door making sure that customers arent just wearing masks, but wearing them correctly. Every time I go in there, I see multiple people either not wearing a mask or not wearing it over their nose.This threatens my health and the vulnerable clients I work with every day.

Before entering I assumed that this couldnt be my primary grocery store, but now Im not so sure.... They have a wide variety of items, including produce and everyday staples. I was particularly surprised by the excellent selection of vegetarian frozen prepared foods (e.g. frozen dinner - type items) at excellent prices.

Prices are cheaper sometimes at other stores but overall okay hotfood, very friendly staff, sometimes a strange loss prevention guy ( I once thought was being a peeping tom at some lady 😆 but was watching her steal, he was not inconspicuous!), the prouduce is great, the meat is great, love the discount racks always. Dont like the closing one door at night but what else can u do with all the thieving around and less night staff.

This place is huge. Theres so many different choices from produce, premium liquor, Hispanic and Asian foods and ingredients. They have just about anything.

This is the worst store in bellingham there No cell service whats so ever. there could be an emergency and you wont be able to get any calls, they have the app just for U. but you cant even use it in store because theres no cell service unless you connect to there wifi. so thats not secure. customer service was pour i waited 10 mins in line while 2 people where helping one person while every one stood in line. we all left.
