I had been kayaking about 5- years before I came across this YouTube video. A highly experienced kayak design team was setting out to make a high performance sit on top kayak. I’m 6’ 5” and as much as I loved sea kayaks, I just couldn’t get comfortable in one, and I tried many. The prospect of a high performance sit-on-top peaked my interest. After mulling over it for almost a year, I pulled the trigger on the Swell Scupper 14. I’ve had the boat out about a dozen times. Each time I use it makes me appreciate it more. It’s comfortable, it’s fast, it’s well made. I love it.
