Im very grateful that a friend recommended this place. I took my car there today and Doug checked the transmission oil, brakes and spark plugs FOR FREE . He gave me his honest opinion and didnt recommend any unnecessary services. Doug and his wife Kerri are very professional and kind people. Mechanics--like doctors and lawyers--are never fun to visit. However, its good to know these guys are around when you need them. They are honest, fair, fast and professional and I really trust their judgement when it comes to my car or truck.

They are a family owned and operated business where the office is small, yet cozy, warm, and exuding a homey vibe. The couple is very friendly and service is quick. I really appreciate the extra mile they go - giving coupons for the next visit, sharing snacks, and scheduling earlier than their opening time for emergencies. I also really appreciate that they only fix what needs to be fixed and dont bombard you with the extras or unnecessary/early updates. Im newer to Bellingham and have tried several different auto repair places and Barnetts is by far the best. The family I live with and I are all repeat customers, trust the service and will continue to take our 6 vehicles there.

This is the best mechanics shop Ive ever dealt with. Not only are the repair costs fair, but the estimates have always been accurate and the work has always been done well (with quality parts) and quickly. Very personable management and strong knowledge of engine repair make this a no-brainer if you need work done on your vehicles. I totally recommend Barnett Automotive!

This is my favorite shop in town. The service is reliable, reasonably priced and quick. I have an older car which some mechanics cant handle, but Barnett isnt scared to fix anything.
