I was very pleased with the service I received here. Rodney is a nice man who quickly replaced 11 watch batteries for me. He also replaced a broken chain on a necklace I had. His prices were very reasonable. In looking around his shop I noticed several pieces of jewelry for sale if youre looking to make a purchase. I highly recommend this jewelry store.

What a lovely shop with owners to match. We just moved into this lovely part of the world and somehow during the move I bent my wedding ring. Not knowing anyone in town to ask as to where I might have my ring repaired, during our daily walks through downtown Fairhaven, low and behold there was Jewelry Affair. They not only made it round again :-), they polished it up better than new! I think I paid $8. I would have paid 10 times that amount as this ring is so precious. I was ecstatic! I brought my lovely wife in the next day to have her matching ring buffed up as well and this time they wouldnt take my money. WOW! Rodney and Beth do a fantastic job. They just re -tipped my wedding ring! Ive been having my jewelry checked there for years now after getting a recommendation. I’ve brought several damaged rings to Rod for TLC and he has returned them each time better than new - repaired, carefully polished and beautiful. The latest was the victim of a crash on Galbraith, pretty mangled. No matter, it’s back on my hand today looking like new. Reasonable rates, excellent craftsmanship, and fast turnaround - friendly staff and a host of sweet dogs while you wait - what more could you ask for? 5 Stars.

I have a vintage wedding ring that needed some TLC. My band was worn thin and cracked and the tips holding my diamond in were practically worn away. The repairs done to my ring were exceptional! They took great care to improve on an already fantastic wedding set! I highly recommend Jewelry Affair!

I had my engagement ring resized here and they gave the ring back discolored where they had resized it. Then wanted to charge us $70 more to fix their mistake. Very disappointed and upset as a newly engaged couple to experience this. Will not be coming back ever again and very annoyed to have come here in the first place.

Nice, fast, affordable, and they go above and beyond. I was stressing all day yesterday about a neckless I wanted to bring on a trip with my wife and how I was not gonna be able to fix it, after a brief phone call on my way to the mall I came down and dropped off my neckless. They had it done like 20-30 minutes ahead of schedule. 60$ and now its stronger and looks brand new.They made my day, I strongly recommend, 5 stars forsure.

My mom would been proud as she loved animal prints. This time I took in a orange sapphire ring, an opal and black onyx ring, two diamond earrings and two pearls that I never wore for him to create pendant. Beth helped put the finishing touch on a necklace which wasnt done to my liking by two jewelers prior. She went above and beyond to help. What I appreciated the most -- they called me to ask if I was right or left handed, which I wouldnt have even considered. An important attention to detail item! It was ready the same day, so I didnt have to go without wearing this piece that I never remove. Very high quality work. Looking forward to them working on my ring!

My wedding set needed to be sized down, and my husband found this jeweler online. When I went in, Beth was super helpful with explaining the process and helping me figure out what size I needed to go down to. I was told it would for sure be done in a few days, but they were able to fit me in a bit sooner and I got my set back the next day! My ring has a specific setting for the side stones, and they were able to work with my ring to ensure everything looked perfect after the resizing. I’ll for sure be going back with any repairs my rings may need!

For a very reasonable price they did many repairs including resizing, replacing the center stone and removing and replacing all of the side stones. If you are looking for any work to be done on a ring, I would highly recommend this business.I had a request that I wasnt sure would work the way it did in my head - remove diamonds from a family ring, get their dimensions, have a ring maker in Europe make a custom ring with the dimensions, and finally have the diamonds placed in the new ring. Rodney at Jewelry Affair listened to my request, confidently explained to me the process of what would happen, and then did everything for me but make the ring (the rings for sale there were gorgeous, though). I was met with professionalism and excellent workmanship every step of the way, and the final product turned out better than I thought it could. He even fulfilled a request to insert diamonds in a spot the ring maker didnt think would work, and it was exactly aligned my vision. You will not be disappointed.

I actually did not have a great experience here today. My boyfriend and I came into the boutique looking for some guidance regarding engagement rings, sizing, etc. The woman working made me feel very unintelligent when asking questions and did not make us feel like we were worth her time. Im not sure if we didnt look the part because we are only 23 or what but we left feeling pretty badly.

I came across Jewelry Affair in hopes of having customized adjustments made to the chains of my Silver Ring thumb splints. These splints target hypermobility and the company sends the chains at full length so that they can be adjusted to fit correctly. I was able to have them cut to size, and the owners even let me try a magnetic closure, as it might be easier on my hands. I was able to take the splints home and try them for a few days, which was incredible! The owners were kind enough to switch the closures back for me, and even do some shaping work on the metal thumb pieces so they contour my hands more closely. The splints are now a better aid for me than I had thought possible. I so appreciate the flexibility and care that I received here!

Took my fiances engagement ring here that was her great grandmothers from the very early 1900s to have someone look it over and recommend any repairs. We got an extremely professional opinion, tons of knowledge, and a few recommended fixes. We were so confident in Rods abilities we left it to be repaired and strengthened and two weeks later were extremely happy!! Rod has an excellent hand and eye for repair work. He turned it into what looked like a brand new ring but still keeping the original design and aesthetics. It is a very precious family heirloom that we can continue to keep in the family now; and all within a reasonable budget and time frame. A couple of years ago, we were cleaning out the last of our parents things and came across many pieces of jewelry that were quite special. We couldnt let them go very easily, and thought creating something from the pieces might be nice. It is a work of art, consisting of many family heirlooms and some special opals we picked up when we were kids globetrotting in Australia. Rod tells me to check on the rings settings from time to time, and cleans the one he made as well as my wedding ring that he re-set for me perfectly. My wife and I brought in a delicate wedding ring from the 1940s which belonged to my grandmother, and a very important (to us) raw stone which we wanted to have mounted in an all-new bezel on this vintage ring. It was our dream to be able to combine this stone with this particular ring, despite the fact that some of the design elements would make this quite challenging. We had confidence Jewelry Affair could handle this challenge, but they exceeded our expectations in every way! The finished ring is even better than we could have imagined, and so much more meaningful to us than any pre-made ring we could have purchased. They did a great job of making custom rings, for my fiance and I, using gold and stones I already owned. It was a good experience, down to earth, practical and not pushy. Other shops I visited were often pushing their own agendas, and not very interested in working with the resources or ideas we wanted to use.

Jewelry Affair in Fairhaven is the best! Last week I brought in a loose diamond that I wanted to have set to give to my wife as a gift for our 25th wedding anniversary. When I went to their store, I didnt really know what I wanted, how much it might cost, or how long it might take. Our anniversary was the next day so my expectation was that I would be ordering something to be delivered a week or more later.I met with Beth. She offered some ideas and we talked about my options. She was friendly, helpful, and truly interested in finding the perfect gift. We came up with a yellow gold pendant and chain. Simple, elegant and within my budget. To my surprise, Beth said I would be able to pick it up the next day. When I did, the work was done as expected and the result was spectacular. Best of all, my wife loves it.

I have been in twice now, once to resize a ring and another time to create a engagement band out of an heirloom wedding ring. Both times the service was thoughtful and their process was seamless. I recently got married and the rings had to be sized as well as the bands soldered together. I was concerned about them being sent away (some places do that!) but they do all the work in house. The rings were perfection!! And so shiny!! I would highly recommend them.

I had my engagement ring resized here and they walked me through the whole process from finding the correct size, seeing my ring on the magnifying screen, and explaining every step that it would involve. They had my ring completed in 4 days which was MUCH FASTER than most places!When my ring still felt too big after the resizing, they worked with me to find the perfect fit and offered to complete the second resizing for free!The customer service while working with me was absolutely wonderful and I would definitely recommend their shop if you need ring resizing.

I have never received such expert and satisfying service from a jewelry store as I received at Jewelry Affair. Im not one to submit reviews, but something needs to be said about a business who really meets the desires of their customers. I had a ring in mind that I could find nowhere. After describing it, they poured over several different catalogs until they absolutely were able to put together the ring I imagined. Then, no matter what else I have requested since then, they have done it. They have cleaned, resized, and fixed several items for me. I am thrilled to have found this place and will always return when I need help with jewelry.

The stone of my engagement ring fell out of its setting the day I got it back from Jewelry Affair! I brought my sterling silver ring into them to be resized last week and at first was happy with how it fit after the resizing despite it taking almost an entire week. I was super bummed though when the stone fell out of its setting later that day.I went into Jewelry Affair to discuss this with who was working there and asked for it to be reset, and they insisted that it was no fault of theirs and that I must have damaged the prongs holding my stone in place. This is my engagement ring.. I never take it off and bartend with it on almost every night of the week. I have never once had any issue with the stone being loose or coming out of its setting.Though Jewelry Affair claims they did not alter the prongs on my ring, I do believe that they compromised the integrity of the prongs while resizing it. The cost to reset the ring and repair the damage that they caused was going to be $8, and they refused to waive that small fee and make it right for a customer who was unsatisfied with the work they had done.Mistakes happen but refusing to acknowledge a customers concerns and make sure they walk away from an interaction satisfied is unacceptable.

While cleaning my wedding ring, a large jewelry store at the mall told me I had a loose channel diamond and offered to fix it. My ring would have been mail away and I would be without it for up to 3 weeks. I took it to Rod, who fixed it as I waited and I was quite pleased with the cost. Large jobs and small, I have always been so pleased with the work Ive had done at Jewelry Affair. Beth and Rob are very knowledgable, skilled and fair. I trust them and have recommended them to many others. We are fortunate they are right here in Fairhaven..

Have only had one experience with them but not impressed. My wife recently had an heirloom ring handed down to her. The ring was given to her damaged with one diamond separate from the ring. We took it to the Jewelry Affair and asked them to repair the ring, reset the diamond, and resize(enlarge) the ring. We were advised that all prongs had to be rebuilt as well. We were fine with that.A week passed and my wife was ecstatic to pick up the ring. Sadly upon picking it up I immediately noticed 1 of 7 diamonds that did not glisten like the others. Looking at it closer I could see that stone was set differently than the others. Upon inquiring what the issue was we were advised one stone was fractured and due to the fact it is an old ring with the diamonds having a miners cut there was nothing he could do. I beg your pardon?WHY were we not phoned and advised of this prior to the work being done! I have since taken it to other jewelers for an opinion and needless to say their opinions differ. But regardless of opinions, one fact which cannot be denied is the poor communication. We should have been advised of the issue with the stone prior to the work performed and we werent. Now we have what is a beautiful heirloom ring that has been repaired in a compromised state. We will not be returning here.

Must have been a busy time at the shop!I went in for a new watch battery. Service was very good but I thought $16.28 for a $2 battery and two minutes of labor was excessive. Ill go somewhere else next time.

I have a ring that I love that the stone kept falling out. They helped me see that the setting wasnt designed to keep it secure & the glue just couldn-t hold it. They reworked the setting & it looks better then before & the stone is secure. Im very pleased!

Quick and friendly. Brought in a broken gold chain in the morning and picked it up later that same day. Chain is fixed and they polished everything up, including what goes on the chain.

I could not be happier with Rodney and Beth. I had a ring custom made for me out of silver. It was my first ring and I know I did not explain myself well. When I picked up the ring with my fiance, I wasnt entirely happy, but I didnt know how to express the feeling. The ring was just too skinny for my taste. We went in two days later, and, after asking some clarifying questions, Rodney took the ring and remade it to the width I wanted, no questions asked.Aside from that, Beth and Rodney were just pleasant to work with. They answered all the questions we had and made sure that the ring we eventually walked out of the shop with, was the ring we wanted. Even if you can find a place in Bellingham that does work for less money (and I am not convinced you will), you wont find a shop that feels so good to work with, and that is so committed to making sure you are happy at the end of the day.When my fiance and I get married, we will make sure to revisit Rodney and Beth for any alterations we make to our wedding bands.tl;dr: Go with Jewelry Affair. The peace of mind you will have from working with them is worth it, without even mentioning how good the workmanship on their rings is, or how good they feel to wear.
