Cool store with good selection of records, staff could maybe be a little bit friendlier.
This is the location that made me stop going to SP for my vinyl, have not set foot in any other of their locations in a long time, too bad because I loved the SODO location. ✌️
Hidden jem. Found some great classic jazz LPs at great prices!!
Amazing loved seeing all music I grew up with in one place
Great to have a physical vinyl store in the Eastside.
This is the fourth location for silver platters in Bellevue. They were first at sternco Center in Overlake, then move to Crossroads, where they change places twice, and the current location at Northtown Center off Bellevue Way. They usually have a good selection of albums, DVDs and Blu-ray discs. They seem to get more DVD releases of hard to find an obscure films and boxed sets than others would have. Staff is kind of hit-or- Miss. If youre looking for classic and hard to find things on the Eastside, this is probably your best bet.
Staff’s super friendly, selections always refreshing, my go-to store if I ever wanna boost my film collection
Wow ! I was mezmerized by the choices and selections of DVDs, vinyl records up the kazoo, CDs ! Music, movies and more ! Hate to sound like a commercial but true.Cant wait for my wife to descend on their store and ravage their movie selections ! Shell bring her list of what shes looking for.
I grew up collecting movies. Most of them I had to scavenge through many stores (thrift, clothing, etc). When I discovered this place it was like an oasis for movies, an 11th heaven, a maraschino cherry on top of a hot fudge sundae, if you will. Anybody whos a cinematic fanatic like me will love this place! Lots of movies to buy (for a great price) and sell (for a great price)!
Records were very well organized and staff was very helpful :)
Pretty good selection of used LPs, lots of new releases and nice staff.
Great variety and good knowledgeable staff.
Two is for the music I have obtained there, otherwise I’d choose one (star) F+ for non-help, holier-than-thou attitude; what is it to spend your dollars, go out of your way to a record store which still stands, and yet a horrible experience: no greeting, ask a question and treated as if they couldn’t be bothered, ring up and more grumpy (no “thanks,” no nothing). I believe in trickle down : whatever is at the top is going to roll down, good or bad. One has the choice where to spend a hard-earned dollar; I’ll depart with my dollars where they are wanted. Picture her as a dollar bill walking in if you can’t muster ordinary kindness.
A pleasure as always. Staff is keeping safe, keeping distanced, and keeping the store to a safe level of customers inside. They always seem to have everything. Highly recommend.
Great store great variety and they not only sell but they buy and they pay the best.
This place is the best nostalgia trip. I stop by semi regularly to add to my record collection.
Small reggae/dub selection but nice vibe
Ok, but I wish they had their dvds/Blu Rays separated in genre and not all of them in alphabetical order. I would of stayed longer and most likely bought more if I could just go into a genre section, but I didnt want to go through everyone of them to search for anything horror. Frustrating.
Considering the had exactly what I wanted and they were one of the few places in the whole country who had it... Id say these guys rock
Great variety, tons of selection of used and new films and music. Lots of international options and some great hidden gems. They also sell Criterion’s, if you collect those. You can also order in specific items if they don’t have what you want currently in stock. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Check it out!
Awesome. This is the biggest record store Ive visited. Awesome collection. Even the 99¢ vinyls were in perfect condition.
Classic, original & INCREDIBLY helpful! Also, they have a sweet rewards plan & LOTS of music. Prices are decent too 😎
Great to find a classic old school record store! Thousands of titles both in music and film great for browsing and purchasing your favorites come natural locally owned and operated business
Always my favorite store even though they are having less of what Im looking for
Friendly staff and great selection. Wonderful place to browse and find nostalgia or current hits.
Not all of the staff is knowledgeable, I came in for the Kate Bush re-release and the kid looked dumbfounded. I always to the Westside for records.
One of the few music stores left. They have an excellent selection of cds/movies to choose from and if they dont have it, they will order it in for you. The staff is pretty cool and a good bunch to talk too. Parking is always available. Overall a great store for people who like actually owning the music they listen to.
Silver platters sells new and used blue ray disks, DVDs, CDs and vinyl records. They buy back used disks for store credit. They have a huge selection, helpful staff, and several stores full of inventory to choose from. Disks are very well organized but, if you cant find what you are looking for, staff will help you find it.
Excellent staff, selection and location.
This shop has a lot of records that are really good price I got the movie labyrinth I could only find it from 14-35$ but in this store I literally got it for 3$
Amazing place to go for music or movies. Using their website to order to one of the three locations is great for some hard to find music and movies.
You cant complain about any store that is still alive and selling records! So excited there is still such a store on the east side. Please continue to support it!
A great place to get records on the Eastside. While they do not have the widest selection, they make up for it with a number of box sets and limited edition records, which I do not often see at other stores.
Amazing selection. I can’t ever leave empty handed. Awesome shop!
Good selection. They tend to get a lot of blu-ray titles you will not find in local stores. They also buy/trade...Ive traded a bunch of discs (audio and movies) to them and feel like Ive been treated fairly.
One of the only music stores still around when everyone else went digital and online. Love being able to step back in time and actually peruse thru music and make my selections in the flesh.
Just went in to ask about an artist I saw at Kirkland Performance Center- not sure I will go back to Silver Platters again. The guy couldnt have been less interested in assisting me and after looking on the computer said we dont have it and cant get it. Well, I can get it on Amazon and maybe thats where Ill go from now on. I do like their selection and have had good experiences in the past but this totally put me off.By the way- same dude in the glasses and black shirt referenced in another review.
I was disappointed that there was no listening station or turntable to sample or listen to the used vinyl. I ended up not buying anything. I feel every store that sells used vinyl should have a turntable or listening station.
Good organization. Some cool stuff on the racks, here and there.. Anyways, the employees do that thing all the cool kids do where they hardly listen to what you say and refuse to respond to small talk and avoid all eye contact. Not really jerks, just sort of disinterested and apathetic. Its really cool. I hope I become like them when I grow up.
The best music shop on the Eastside. Always a great collection of vinyl and CDs, and a great staff to chat with who know their music. Dont miss the poster bin by the front door. The 99 cent used vinyl bin is also not to be missed. A great place to find forgotten classics.
I always love the music selection here but dude in the glasses and black shirt. If you are in a bad mood dont take it out on the customer, I was only asking where a cd was! At least act like you enjoy your job, very unlike the other upbeat customers who are actually polite.
Really awesome little store with thousands of records and CDs. Nice quiet place to browse and find something new!
Thank God for this place! Remains me of the good old days when I would spend hours at a record store! Great selection!
They have a surprising amount of inventory considering the size of the store. Its set up well and the staff is helpful.
Great staff and wonderful selection of physical media
First time visit there: awesome, well-stocked place. Customer Service ranked at a 66%. One guy barely said a word when I asked to pick up an LP I had on hold, but the two women who helped me were friendly and helpful. They have a solid vinyl selection, and had more CDs than I expected. Ill be curious if they go the way Best Buy is going with CDs. Id love to see even more vinyl. I look forward to going back and browsing again. This is definitely my local record store now.
Good selection of all types of media and an informative staff.
Friendly, good prices on used records.
Just starting to get into vinyls. Perfect shop to stop by if you want to walk in and browse for inspiration.
Clean and well kept. Staff is knowledgeable, but will leave to your own searching.
I love this store. I would do 5 starts except for one point; they over price their new DVDs. Not new movies or blurays, but new dvds. 35.99 for a DVD is a lot when you arent getting a combo pack. They do have some amazing deals with used dvds. And I love their rewards system. Check them out. You wont be sorry you did, except that you might just spend money hahaha
Delicious! I ordered a banana slip pizza with anchovies.
Has lots of movies and music and oldies, good place to find old songs and albums.
Great stuff, good prices, with a friendly & knowledgeable staff. They always have everything I want, and more.
Great selection and prices, pretty bad staff service. Go to the Lynnwood location if possible, much better staff, and great selection.I have been to the Bellevue store a lot, and had similar experiences to other reviewers. Staff frequently walk away from you when you try to talk to them, and are unhelpful when you do talk to them. This is one of the best stores Ive been to for prices and range of products (including hard to find things), but the Lynnwood store has all the strengths of this store, plus helpful friendly staff.
Best local store for the annual Record Store Day event.
Love this place. Great selection.
Nothing really caught my attention except the people working there was watching me very closely, guess they get a lot of merchandise stolen sense there seems to be a lot of homeless people in the area.
Silver Platters Is As Amazing As The Staff!
Nice place to find used and new Vinyl Records, CD, and Dvds. They also purchase used of those items.
Good selection, friendly staff.
Only record storw left. Suuuuper helpful staff
Wide selection of vinyl records. Staff was upbeat and helpful.
If youre interested in hiphop, do not go to this place. The hiphop section is laughable compared to all other genres. All of the vinyls in the section were marked up. Buy from amazon, its cheaper. Hiphop scene in seattle is depressing...
Had no idea this place existed but Im glad I found it! I love it!
One of the last bastions dedicated to music.
Advised me to bring in my dvds without telling me about their two hour time limit before close. drove from North bend wasted gas time and all for nothing.
Rude staff will not be back
Has a huge selection of vinyl and a ton of CDs. The staff were very nice and super helpful.
Not too many places like this left. Its a great place to discover music and get a tangible piece of your favorite band.
Such a cool place! Really friendly staff!!
New or used, youll find something you like.
Good place. Wish they had a better vinyl selection.
Has a huge selection of CDs but their sorting leaves something to be desired.
Great staff. A huge amount vinyl and CDs.
They have a very good selection of everything.
Cool stuff and helpful staff.
Our neighborhood record store since the last century!
Nice selection of .99 LPs.
The people in the store are very nice, never had any trouble and they allways move the line along / get the sellers out of the way. The selection is pretty damn good ive gotta say, (Im into HardRock/Metal), ive found quite a few rare pick ups, even a couple sealed copies of stuff from mid 2000s, which is pretty unusual for a store like this. I try to check out the website or stop by the Bellevue store to check out any new arrivals, and they stock their shelves on a weekly basis, so its actually worth stopping by 1 or 2 times a week. The only problem I have is they are super inconstant with grading their vinyls, ive bought tons of used vinyls that say VG+ or VG. Some of those have had scratches that make it unplayable, or are actually warped. VG does not mean warped for me, and other G+ ratings have had no warping and no scratches!! Stick to a standard please! Otherwise a very nice store.
Not the greatest of selection. Walked around looking for a few specific records and no one even so much as glanced at me, let alone actually help.
Not a big selection compared to the seattle location im use too
Horrible management! The manager looks like he hates his job. There vinyls are over priced, and they will not compete with other record shops, or online pricing when it comes to new record pricing. I will never support that shop. There are to many other shops that would compete with their pricing to earn my business.
If want here it is, come and get it... [and if they dont have it, get it from their online store and support a local record store!]
Worst service ever. Employees must have been very sleepy. Very grumpy. One reeked of cigarette smoke too. Wont return.
Find anything you want here in music
Rockin
Good help!
Old school
Good selection . . . a little bit too expensive, though.
Large, full selection of music and videos. You can buy used, or new. They will purchase used items, helps you clean out your unused collections.
We out here
Ewe cigarettes and glasses?????? Its a fricken music store. Stay home and buy online. More music for me to buy at the store interacting with humanity.
Great selection
Always fun
Nice
