Mike is hand down the best instructor for CCW, made awesome jokes and made sure to throughly explained everything we needed to know and answered any given questions. Had an awesome experience and will definitely come here again for lessons.

Had a introduction to pistol class with Logan he knows his stuff. And him and Jenn did the class on the range. They are very helpful in making you comfortable and correct what you do wrong.

Took an intro to pistols class which was informative. I thought I had to bring a gun & ammo so I did, but only 2 others did - the rest bought 50 rounds and were given a gun to use. I went thru the only box of 9mm ammo I had and thought I could buy more after the class but they wouldn’t let me. They said it was “reserved for people taking a class” which I DID (& paid $75 for) and since I had my own (because I thought I had to) they wouldn’t sell me one box.I WAS going to get a membership because the range was nice and clean, but will be driving to Manitowoc to a range that will sell my ammo as long as I use it at their range. Very bad customer service in my opinion.

Enjoy shooting here. Nice range, friendly staff. Gun rentals are nice, but the prices charged for ammo are very high. Rental guns must shoot ammo purchased at the range. Overall, great place to spend an afternoon.

Really nice facility and staff, great place to train. I do wish that they were better about supervising the actual range, because Ive been muzzled more times than Im comfortable with. Either way, good experience every time and I eventually purchased a membership.Best range around!

Went with my friend who have a membership with guest pass and thinking about signing up after but I was denied because guest pass was suspended due to COVID-19. My friend told me that he never got any notification nor stating anything in their website. I probably just sign up somewhere else.

They do a great job for the experienced and newbies. We bought a family membership and its paid for itself in savings and range time. Top notch staff and you never have to worry about calling someone by the wrong name, as all the male staff is named Mike....and then there is Jenny, who does a wonderful job. Overall, never once have been disappointed.

Have gone here several times now and havent found a similar facility that is open to the public in Wisconsin. This facility is top notch, with touch screen range controls, classrooms, Wisconsin CCW classes, ammunition and firearms sales. The staff is knowledgeable and very helpful. You can tell that the owners are the operators of the business, as there are no pass-the-buck, or Its our policy type excuses. When you talk to them, youre talking to the decision maker. This is a great business that has filled a big gap in northeastern Wisconsin.

Ive been a member since June of 2012.I challenge anybody to find a better indoor shooting facility in N.E. Wisconsin! The facility is clean, safe and modern. The staff are all friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable and very helpful.For those who cant use a phone or a map, please dont blame the facility.Family Shooting Academy location, email, phone and front door are all fully functional!

I was there a couple years ago asked permission from a man behind the counter to un holster and had permission another employee slapped my un loaded no magazine firearm from my hand will never go back and none of my friends are going there!!!Employees are rude

Very expensive range compared to other ranges. Had never heard the rule of not using aluminum or steel casing ever in my life I called ahead of time and ask them if theres any rules and regulations about and they said no. with the cost of renting a lane for 2 people they dont even include eyes or ears they charge you a couple bucks its complete nonsense. The people there seem very unknowledgeable about bullet casings and fire safety in general.

This place is great. The range is spectacular. The staff is very helpful regardless of whether youre an experienced shooter or someone who could use a little instruction. These guys (and gals) represent the shooting community very well.

My favorite place to shoot anytime of the year! Knowledgeable staff, clean facilities, and family friendly with the Airsoft range for kids. Certified instructor led classes and private lessons readily available. My wife and I are from out of town and have been to this range twice. Both times we were treated very well even though we are relatively new to shooting and handguns. On the first visit we asked for an instructor to help us with our firearms and to get us familiar with the range etc. Mike (I know everybody there is named Mike) went through all the safety aspects first then showed us how to safely operate our handguns and took extra time with my wife as it was her first time ever shooting a firearm.Mike was very patient, took the time to show her proper form with safety always the first priority. It wasnt long before she was shooting very nice groups all because of the interest and patience Mike had in showing a rookie the proper things to do safely and in a very friendly manner. It made for a great experience and turned her nervousness into confidence and a lot of fun. He even gave us some extra range time as they were not too busy. Awesome experience both times and we will definitely be back

Its a great place to shoot reasonably priced and offers various different guns for rental as well as package deals the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They offer classes for beginner and experienced shooters

I have been in to shoot here a few times now and have never had an issue with anything except my own accuracy. The staff are helpfull and the range is very nice. I look forward to it every time I plan to go back.

I went to shoot here last weekend. They have a nice selection of rental handguns, and although nothing in this hobby is cheap the prices seemed reasonable. The place was crawling with people and the store could have used about 2 or 3 more people to address the demand.

Ive been here only twice, both a a guest. This facility is top notch for sure. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Ill have to give membership some thought.

This is the second time we have taken out of town guests to the shooting range and it was once again an amazing experience. Four of our visitors had never shot a handgun prior to going to the range (2 women - 2 men). The staff prepared everyone with gun safety, gun operations and what they could expect at each shooting lane. Dont pass up an opportunity to bring people here because the staff at FSA will make them feel extremely comfortable even with little or no shooting experience. One person who never shot before is going to buy a handgun to shoot at their local range based on the great experience. Kudos to FSA!!!

I enjoy going to this facility and the staff seem like good people. However, I wish there were more regulations on who can just grab a pistol and go as in, literally anyone can rent a firearm to take to the range after watching a video which lasts a few minutes. Last time I went a young couple walked in at the same time and rented a Glock 19 to shoot at the range next to me. They explained to the man behind the counter that they had never shot before. When they got the gun to the range end tried to load it, they neglected to pull the slide back and it wouldnt shoot. This led to them slamming the gun onto the counter (in their lane) while pointing the gun towards the lane next to them (me). Thats probably the closest Ive ever been to getting shot, and is the only reason I need to never go to the family shooting academy again. Ive been shooting for 18 years and..if I didnt have my father to consistently drive firearm safety information into my mind my first year of shooting I probably would have done some stupid crap too (when I was 5). What Im saying is, I PERSONALLY think someone should have been out there keeping an eye on someone who was using a firearm for the first time, and the lives of 15, or so, other people at the range shouldnt have been put at risk otherwise. I know the firearm wasnt loaded, but its not a joke. As a side note, I know my google + name is rediculous and probably makes people second guess my credibility but it is only a joke. I have my CCW and have been shooting (safely) for as I said, 18 years. Sorry family shooting academy, the only way I will come back is if you change your rules.

If you are retired military do not shoot at this facility. I am a retired two time purple heart recipient and was denied a retired military membership due to not serving 20 yrs. I only did 11 years and was short due to almost being killed in Iraq. So because I have multiple purple hearts from working in special operations, I cant get a retired membership. I was denied by staff and was told to contact the owner myself and ask him if he would allow me to recieve a membership.

Drove from Fond du Lac. We were denied because we had 3 children. We called earlier and were told we could. After speaking to counter personnel, were told we can not take a child on rotation. They said we could only have 1 child per adult and would not let 1 adult with 1 child go separately. Horrible information, horrible service, and piss poor while providing information over phone. Shitty place!

Called ahead of time as we were driving from Fond du Lac. We were given terrible information over the phone so when we arrived with 3 kids to the 2 adults we were turned away. We were going to rotate the kids around so they could each shoot and we were told no. Thanks for letting us drive over an hour and wasting our time!

Clean, friendly, the only game in town for a wide radius. Typically lanes are available. Indoors has its advantages.The computerized equipment is easy enough to understand and when the short and long rotating targets are working it is a lot more fun than the standard distance shooting. But they are already getting beaten up and it seems to be about 50/50 now to find one working properly. Fix this.A bit pricey if you are not a member. I see a lot of people with horrible form that should take a lesson that they offer or at least watch some proper Youtube vids to see what right looks like.

Great place to shoot. I have a membership there, and while its expensive compared to a basic outdoor range, you get SO much more for your money. They provide a safe, clean, fun environment to shoot in. Theres enough room that even when the range is full it doesnt feel too crowded or stink like gunpowder - its very nice place to shoot. The target control system is really easy to use and so much more convenient than having to wait for a cease-fire at an outdoor range and you get precise distance control which helps when practicing. They do rent guns, although I havent taken advantage of that yet.Ive also used them for FFL transfer services and they make the process very easy. In addition to keeping convenient hours, their FFL is already on file at places like CDNN so you can have a gun shipped directly to them without a lot of hassle. Their transfer fee is reasonable and they also do have guns in stock if youd rather shop in person.

They can literally teach anyone how to shoot. The instructors in the Intro to Handgun class were patient, supportive, and helpful. Most important, they gave clear instructions and checked for understanding. Great experience!
