Just tried this place, and wow! Food was amazing! Glad I stumbled into it, completely unplanned. Definitely adding this one to the short list of favorites!

Good service, though they currently only do take out. The pork belly bao was good and lighter than I was expecting, which wasnt a bad thing. The tiger fries were a good sized portion, easily sharable for two people.

I think this is Taiwanese cafe style eatery. You ordered and paid for the food at the counter, then they deliver the food to your table when they are ready. No seating outside, but quite a bit of seating indoor. There are variety of dishes including beef noodle which comes with or without soup, fried chicken steak, fried tofu or string bean, etc. They also make bubble tea and other desserts like egg tart. The beef noodle portion is huge with lots of noodle and soft beef with tendon. The noodle is yummy and fresh.

Nostalgic cuisine from the motherland. The smaller portion sizes and combo deals allow for the tasting of many different flavors. Enjoyed thoroughly. Maybe avoid if vegetarian

Each bao offers a distinct flavor, all quite good. The garlic string bean fries were excellently crispy and garlic-y, the tiger fries were pretty tasty and filling. And the deep fried vanilla bao for dessert was better than any tempura ice cream Id gotten at a Japanese restaurant. Didnt try the tea but as far as food goes it was pretty solid.

Pleasant surprise to find this place. All the foods really are Taiwanese street foods. Their specialty looks to be their buns. The white buns traditionally have braised pork belly, but they feature tons of other meats like fried fish, chicken, and others.Other bits of awesome include braised pork rice, fried green beans, nori fries, fried tofu(not smelly), sweet potato fries, and numerous rice plates. Have to go back multiple times to try everything!

Desserts are really good and the kalbi beef rice bowl is tasty as well. The beef is slightly chewy.

Sk
Review №10

Went there for lunch and tried the Korean Kalbi beef lunch combo. Unfortunately it is mostly greasy, disgusting fat (see photo), barely any lean meat in it. Complained to the waitress and was told we will do it better next time. Come on, if you dont want to fix the problem this time, there would not be another customer for next time.------------------------------------------------------------------Updated review to reflect my recent experience. This is a newly-opened hole-in-a-wall place for a quick bite of traditional Taiwanese food. However the quality of food is either hit or miss, depending on when you come and what you order. For exampe, rice bowl with pork belly (控肉便当) is soft and delivious sometimes, but under-cooked some other time. Rice bowl with red wine beef (红酒牛肉便当) has a sour taste most folks would not tolerate. Service is fast when there are not too many people waiting. Price is a bit expensive, compared to other Taiwanese restaurants in the area. Try to beat the crowd by coming earlier to skip the waiting line.

Review №18

The signature fries were good and so was the lunchtime offer of free tea, but the buns themselves were nothing to write home about. I tried the cha-siu (BBQ) chicken bun, and the filet itself was just a normal chicken filet like you might buy in bulk at Costco. The signature salty-sweet taste of cha siu that is gleaned from the Chinese BBQ process was lacking; it tasted vaguely sweet from the sauce, but wasnt seasoned effectively nor did it have the texture of authentic cha siu.The pricing of $6 per bun and $8 (if I remember correctly) for the fries definitely places this restaurant in the category of gentrified Chinese food: worth a try if for the curiosity, but if youre in the mood for real Taiwanese street food, go to Monga across the parking lot.

Found this place by chance. The drinks are creative and delightfully refreshing. They let you customize the sweetness which is right on. Also neat dessert ideas that you cannot find easily. Food are both mild and light compared to authentic Taiwanese food. Buy that doesnt mean it is less in any way.

I ordered the Kalbi Beef and Pork Belly Bao as a snack in the afternoon while doing work. Both were a bit underwhelming, and for $10, it was honestly a bit disappointing. The bao itself tasted like it was frozen and then re-heated, so it wasnt fluffy like other bao. The pork belly meat itself was good, but I would pass on the kalbi meat. I ended up eating all of the filling and leaving most of the bao behind.

This place is a joke. $20 for two bowls of white rice because they are so stingy they don’t give you any toppings. Better check out Monga right across as they serve real food and give you quality stuff.

Totally comfort food. Their traditional gua bao (pork belly) is a must try. We also had their tiger fries and if that doesnt epitomize Taipei street food then I dont know what does here in the Pacific Northwest.. like street food places, I dont know whether you will come here for a meal but before or after a late night, oh so perfect.

Review №30

Not the typical flavors, I get it, but somehow the combination is not to my liking. Meat in the pork belly and kalbi bao does not taste fresh and is covered up by the flavors in the garnish. Matcha creme has a fruity hint so I could not taste the matcha.

My friend and I went to the Seattle Humane, she was looking for a kitty and we stopped there to eat. It different if you have never tried it. They have sweet potato fries that were fantastic and string bean sticks that covered and cooked in a garlic mix. They were delicious!! Its not a big place, moderately priced but so worth it!!!

Solid choice for a Taiwanese style cafe. Loved their pork belly and the side dishes that accompany their entrees. They are reasonably priced and have pork belly baos, bowls, and other dishes. I also liked the popcorn chicken and the string beans. I thought both were well seasoned, but i also dont like food on the salty side so maybe it will be too light for you. I thought for a dinner for two $35 was a good deal. Definitely try them out next time you are in the area!

Definitely one of the best Taiwanese restaurants in town! Their food is delicious and the service is outstanding. Their fusion of Taiwanese baos with different elements offers a unique taste while not losing the originality. And the tiger fries that resembles Mexican concept of nachos but with Taiwanese ingredients are always extremely satisfying. They are really creative and I could see they put a lot of thoughts into creating their menu. Just something I never seen before. Would highly recommend!

The short hair woman who served us there has the worst manners you can imagine. She tried to boss me and my husband around for where we were waiting for the food, and was very smug about the fact that we didnt try to argue with her even though we were the only customers there, so wasnt sure why she told us to get out of the way(whose way?).Previous visits without the unpleasant service was not bad. However with a handful of similar level/style restaurants near by, I wouldnt be surprised if customers stop visiting due to this kind of bad experience. What a shame.

Tiger Bites main focus is open-faced pork buns. For the uninitiated, they are steamed fluffy white buns folded around a meat selection, garnished with sauce and pickled veggies... its like an eastern take on a hamburger. My recommendation is their traditional pork belly followed by the char siu chicken. Place is small so be prepared, but its a good thing that their food makes for good take-out. Also, they have a lunch special where you get a free drink when you order more than $10 in food.

Mediocre to its core. Taste not authentic at all and the price is quite high. Non-classic baos taste all very weird. Fried chicken cutlets are too small nothing like Taiwanese Cuisine but something out of a bento. Popcorn chicken is the closest from a Taiwanese standard. Also the service is not that friendly. You pay tips before you taste the food

This place is fast! If you are in a rush and want to get something yummy and fast, this is the place. The bento is a lot of food with great flavors and sides. If you are not too hungry, a bao or braised pork rise will be good choices. In addition, their milk tea is like the venti version of the milk tea without the higher price tag.

Quick service and decent food - not mind blowing but good for what it is. Tapioca was pretty fresh in milk tea and would recommend the two boas for 10$ deal. Rice bowls are pretty complete and would recommend over the boas which werent too flavorful but not bad. Would sum it up as a five guys of taiwanese food - pretty average no major complaints.

Me and my wife are their daily customers, we enjoy their food and drinks, in fact their Korean style beef is one of the best in town. But the reason of this one star review is because of the owners attitude. We usually call in for to go orders but somehow I think their cell phone had some issues of dropping calls or miss calls, so I went in and ask them about their phone issues, basically just wanna let them know that if I am experiencing this problem some other customers might as well, and to go food businesses are quite important to a restaurant so want them to be aware of their phone line. BUT the owner’s attitude was very bad, she took the phone and said there are no calls that came in and with a poker face on.... well I guess that’s my point of telling you because your phone have problems of not ringing. She didnt get my point and she told me am I going to order or not with a very annoyed voice. I was quite disappointed because I love their food and just wanted to let them know about something that they can work on to make it a better place but I guess the owner didn’t understand. Please Fix your Phone thx!

I went and tried the pork belly bao, the char siu chicken bao, the 5-spice popcorn chicken, and the fried tofu. The only thing I would get again was the popcorn chicken. I didnt have a chance to try the boba so I cant comment on that. The char siu chicken was kind of cold and rubbery and lacked flavor, the fried tofu was ok, and the pork belly bao tasted like it had peanut sauce on it (I thought it was supposed to have hoisin?) and had too much cilantro.
