I’ve been coming here for the last two years. I saw Dr. Selena for the first time today. She was fabulous! Introduced herself as she entered room, which if they don’t is a pet peeve of mine. And the staff is also different and they all were so kind and helpful! Thank you.

Providers at this location are great. I got examined by two of them and got excellent fitting for my glasses, as well they checked the back of my eye for other abnormalities. They did recommend further testing, which I’m still considering. One of them followed up and sent me a visit summary by email.The check in process could have gone better. I have filled out all my forms online before going there and they didn’t have any of it but I had to redo all of it by hand, minor inconvenience, but no service recovery attempts at reception.

I arrived a few minutes early, and check in was a simple verification of my ID and insurance. I was greeted warmly and was escorted back for my appointment on time. The tests went well and everyone was masked up and very professional and friendly. I got my prescription and looked at new frames and was helped as needed. Again, very friendly and helpful. I got the name of the frames I liked and checked out after paying my co-pay. Overall it was a good experience with no waiting and everyone was very nice and helpful. No complaints at all.

The staff at Specialty Eye is fantastic! So friendly and helpful. The selection of frames are unique as no other office has them. I got two new pair of glasses and I love them. This office is awesome! :)

I went there for an annual eye examine.The crews were polite and professional. The office and the equipments were very clean. The doctors answered all of my questions with details. I was very happy with how I was treated.The glass frames, though, were super expensive. Only go with theirs if you have no other way of buying and trying frames...

The doctors and staff of Specialty Eye in downtown Seattle are to be commended for their care with my optical care. The staff are responsive and helpful and follow through with requests for information and create a welcoming and friendly environment. The staff is very friendly, polite and, professional. My daughter and I enjoyed ourselves. Also the woman Maykayla was very nice as well. My daughter was afraid of a few of the machines. Maykayla was patient and explained how everything worked every step of the way. Also no wait time at all. Overall we left feeling like we had good service.

Found place on insurance provider list, close location. Eye exam went well, having multiple dr doing exam and verifying results. The service after the exam was poor, emphasis on hardware purchase at fairly high price for reading glasses. Didn’t expect copay for exam with multiple vision insurance, should have been made aware if there would be insurance issues or extra fee for certain test that is not covered.

Very friendly staff, as soon as I walked in the door I felt welcomed. Every person I met knew what they were doing and the Dr was Very knowledgeable, she even let me know about how my eye makeup affected my eyes health. Would recommend to anyone!!!

Ive been seeing Dr. David Kading for many years and have been to all three of his offices in Seattle, Bellevue and Kirkland. His expertise in vision care is top notch and Ive always enjoyed his candor and commitment to excellent customer service. His entire team is so friendly and fun to work with - a big shout out to Garlyn who helped me decide on my new frames. Dr. Dave has a new line of eyewear that he designed and was inspired by his family, and Im happy that one his frames fit me perfectly! Five Stars for everyone!!!!!

Specialty Eyecare is indispensable to the health of my eyes. Dr. Kading is compassionate, incredibly current, and attentive. The full staff is supportive and caring as they work to meet your needs. I recommend this quality group, especially if you are challenged by autoimmune conditions. Here is the best of the best.

This is at least my 3rd visit to this office since the previous owner retired and I am missing the warm feeling that I had with that office personnel and the doctor. I felt confident with the testing and exam but I am a people person and there wasn’t a friendly feel from anyone and I wonder if anyone likes their job. When I was taken into the room I was carrying my jacket and purse and had to set them on the floor and mentioned that they needed a coat hook; I was told it was on the back of the door. From my perspective I am a guest and the “host” should observe that I need to hang up my coat and indicate where the hook is.When I was done with the exam they weren’t even interested in helping with new frames.

When I went to do my eye exam around March 2021, the DR suggested that I do a few extra detailed exams and told me everything will be covered by my medical insurance.  Right now Ive received a bill from them telling me that my insurance refuses to cover those detailed exams so I am responsible to pay it.  At that time If the DR didnt tell me I dont need to pay anything, I wouldnt do these extra exams.  And now it turns out I have to pay for everything. To me its like a scam!!!

After the exam the doctor thoroughly explained my vision problems and the corrective actions that could help me including prisms, contact lense options, glasses,and dry eye disease treatment. I have been going to Specialty Eye for over 10 years. Dr.Dave Kading is an amazing eye doctor. He is knowledgeable, kind, caring, & personable. From the welcoming greeting as you enter from Eileen at the front desk, to Maykayla the tech who took customer service to a whole new level when she moved her own car so I could park there when no parking slots we’re available, & Garlyn who helped me pick out the most awesome pair of glasses- all such supportive staff that makes up a great team at Specialty Eyecare Group. At the Kirkland office, Amber is the best at scheduling & answering questions on insurance coverage. This office is full service for all vision care but are specialized in those who suffer with dry eye syndrome & consequences of that problem. Subsequently I was fitted for special contacts after cataract surgery & they diligently helped me get a perfect fit after trying 3 different sets which not only improved my vision but made it possible for me to wear contacts even with my dry eye syndrome diagnosis. This shows perfectly Dr. Dave’s commitment to do his best for his patients. Dr. Dave also has had many interns who learn so much from him in new techniques in eyecare to his awesome “bedside manor’ that puts patients young & old at ease. One of them, Dr. Bangu is a perfect example of someone who has flourished in her time here. She will certainly be missed at the end of her internship but there will be more doctors who will benefit from their time with this incredible group of eye professionals .

Never feel hurried, always feel I am getting excellent care. Has referred me to other awesome specialists when necessary. Staff are always personable, attentive and organized!High recommend.

This was my first eye exam ever. The staff and Dr were all very professional, friendly, and made the entire process very seamless from start to finish. It was overall an awesome experience and I will definitely continue working with them moving forward!

I wish I had found this place years ago. The staff was extremely warm and welcoming, as well as being highly knowledgeable about their area of responsibilities. The Doctor is the most thorough eye doctor Ive ever seen, and Ive been wearing glasses for over 30 years.He is not a speedy examiner! If speed is important, take that into consideration. The trade off, in my opinion, is more than worth it. Id rather have a doctor take his time and get the prescription correct (something my last doctor didnt do; only saw him once, and good riddance).Id highly recommend these guys, apart from the speed caveat.

Honestly, everything about this place was a disaster. I had been a happy patient under the previous ownership, so thought I would give them a try. Everything was a mess.They charged me fees they didn’t disclose when I asked over the phone, they put a rush on my new glasses and then never called (even after weeks) to tell me my glasses had arrived, they said they would ship my contacts and never did, and their outgoing message even says the wrong hours! Not sure if these are just new clinic growing pains, but they were miserable to work with and i’d go elsewhere. I hope this helps you make your decision.

I visited Binyon Family Eyecare in the past 5 years. Prime location in Bellevue so its very convenient. I met a different optometrist every time but it doesnt concern me - after all, I just need a prescription to refill my contact lenses every year. In 5/2019 I came back for another annual check up, only found out at the end that Binyon refuse to give me prescription for biweekly Acuvue Oasys which I have been using for almost 20 years. From their reply - per office policy, we only prescribe daily disposable contact lenses. I wish I knew this then I can go somewhere else. If you are planning to visit them, you should probably think about what to ask first.

Nice staff but dont seem competent. Id gone in for eye exam and ordered lens and glasses. After I got them I immediately could tell they didnt seem right. My vision was distorted, which Im used to when getting new prescriptions but this way more than normal. I tried to explain that to staff but they told me Id get used to it. I tried for another month but it never got better and when I came in to make sure the prescription was done correctly, they said it was fine but didnt offer me any alternatives other than just get used to it. I went to another optometrist this year and had my eyes examined again and their prescription for me was different and when I got my lenses I could tell it was immediately much better and I adjusted in less than a week with progressives, which also were much better. Overall, I dont feel like my issue was treated with care or concern or that they tried to help me fix the issues.

I took my dad to Dr. Kenny for a check up, I liked his approach a lot, I have seen ODs around the country, from really fancy to average ones, But Dr. Kenny is an exception and hence I made an appointment for myself and was very pleased. being a Dentist myself I can tell you for a certain you wont go wrong going to Dr. Kenny.

Excellent doctor and office. Dr. Kenny really cares about his patients, and the front desk staff is super helpful in everything.I have seen Dr. Kenny for eye exams for a few years as well as pre/post lasik exams. I plan to keep seeing him for my yearly eye exams.

I wanted to buy sunglasses and they had a very small collection. They said they can procure any pair for me so I gave them a model number and size. It has been over a month. I dont have any sunglasses. No follow-ups, no callbacks as promised every time i call. You can assume the rest.I recently moved to Bellevue. I was in India before April this year. Yours is the first eye care store I visited in Bellevue.

I ended paying a lot out of pocket (~$350) because they didnt mention the tests that they did were not covered by my insurance even after I asked them before the appointment. I did the same test with the different doctor but he didnt charge anything extra. The Doctor looked at my previous records and prescribed the same set which Im pretty sure isnt the case, Thats why I went to a different doctor and they gave me the right prescription, Its a waste of money and time for me. I would not go back to him again.
