I was having issues with my B6 A4 Avant. I couldnt ask for someone more delightful than Tori to accommodate my car being towed to the shop and once there the open communication with Adam and his honesty with the situation with my Audi setting me up for what I really needed and what I could use down the line was greatly appreciated. I highly recommended any Euro investment you have to their hands. Youll be taken care of.

I took in my 2009 Mercedes SLK 55 this week and they did a great job performing a full service and fixing an issue with the convertible roof. Adam reached out everyday with updates about the car and was extremely clear with pricing and time estimates. Excellent quality, communication, and customer service. Brought in a BMW with no heat and the estimate was around $800-$1k. i declined the work after they did a diagnosis because of the cost to fix it and the time the car has to be at the shop because it was approaching the weekend. meaning i would get the car back Monday or Tuesday which i can’t do. they did a great job at diagnosing the problem (heater control valve)but what i didn’t understand was the bill if i had them fix it. i’m no mechanic myself but after some reading and no experience it took me 30 mins after work to replace it and the part cost less than $200. the estimate as i recall was for the part which wasn’t to much of a difference. labor was to me not justifiable. let’s say the total cost based on the estimate was 1k and the part is $200 give or take. what’s the $800 remainder for? labor and test drive was left. remember with no experience it took me 30 mins to replace the valve and the shop was charging a 2 hrs worth of labor and a test drive.that’s a big loss of money and time on the customer end.i notice this with the industry. had my tires changed with les schwab they charged 1 hr labor i watched the guy doing my car he spent half the time talking to his buddy’s and eating snacks while i’m paying for the hr labor and the time i have to seat there waiting for him to chat and eat. the heated works like a champ i gotta keep it on low settings. recommend having someone that have some knowledge about cars with you or have a second shop take a look before you decide to spend your money.

A great experience! Adam McKay most definitely owns the ownership of this company. He was on the phone with me a few times about my car and I never felt like I was getting something I didnt want. (I have felt sold a few times at other repair shops.) Adams explanations were clear and the repairs were timely. When Adam told me that he drove my car home from work just to test it out, I knew that my car was in good hands. And, they washed my car. I mean really washed it.... like it was detailed. I will be using German Car Specialists for my Mercedes.

Excellent experience from the appointment through the diagnostics and completion of the job. Returned the car fully washed vacuumed and the wife thought there was some waxing on the car. While car maintenance has stress to it typically from uncertain costs, Adam and his team made our experience wonderful. I typically have new cars with dealer maintenance and I assure you that Adam and his team take the customer care to the same level. Every bit of this review is earned.

VERY FRUSTRATING EXPERIENCE!I sent in my Audi to them because I heard of good things and I needed the service quick (Barrier Audi would always need to schedule first). The folk greeted me was super friendly. My car was making some noise from the engine and he said it sounded it came from the oil pump. I thought I could get my car back later that day and was pretty happy to have picked them with about $200 out of my pocket.Later I was told the pump was fine it was the timing chain, which of course will cost a whole lot more to fix. And they would still charge me the labor for checking the oil pump. Since it was a Friday, I would have to wait until Monday. I had no choice but to see $2k out of my bank to theirs.Monday afternoon I stopped by and was told they would have to order parts, the earliest would be Wednesday.Wednesday afternoon came by and was told they got the parts and would work on it soon. I should check in with them Thursday.Thursday got a call and was told some bolt they were trying to loosen broken or something. They would have to do a whole lot of works to first get it out before the actual repair. They would call me Thursday afternoon.No call. Friday (yeah, its been a week!) I called them and was told the same story, BUT they would have to charge me another $500 labor because this broken bolt or something.ARE YOU KIDDING ME??!! You broke something due to the lacking of either proper tools or expertise and you charge the customer for that? ??I disagreed with them and then they say they would split. I said NO. Eventually they agreed that they would not charge this additional $500.NOW I wonder about the oil pump diagnosis...the more they do, the more they charge you. Think about that.Five days to fix the car and oh by the way, we would ask you to pay another $500 because we couldnt get the job done?! It was so ridiculous!NEVER EVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM.

Wow, great mechanics who assessed car, we brought it in for headlight (Xenon bulb) they let us know of critical items and deferred maintenance. Willing to explain to both me and wife the items fixed and work done. Bonus they washed and vacuumed it for us. Will definitely go back for Audi service and recommend them

Adam and Eric run an excellent shop! They always explain the repairs and let me know if something is urgent or not. Theyre far more affordable and convenient than any of the Benz dealerships around and they do warranty work. The wash and wax before I get it back is great too.

German Car Specialists provided excellent service!I brought my BMW 540i in when the clutch started slipping and gear changes became clunky. I take very good care of my car and take pride in knowing it is in good condition and that everything has been fixed the right way. When I picked my car up, immediately I could tell the clutch pedal felt much different. I have driven this car for over a year now and it has absolutely never been smoother. It is evident to me that repairs here are done with attention to detail and professional craftsmanship.While my car was being fixed, the technician doing the work noticed a small leak in one of my power steering lines as well as in the radiator. I was advised of this and decided to have them fixed as well. Even something simple and easy like this could have turned much more serious, causing expensive damage if left unattended.I would definitely recommend German Car Specialists to anyone who wants there car fixed and wants it done right. GCS can always expect my business in the future.

I have a 2004 Mini Cooper and my friends at German Car Specialists always take good care of her. Its a super high mileage car that I bought with existing issues and this shop has really made the car like new. Recently had the front end rebuilt, new clutch, brakes, and various other problems fixed, and they threw in a bunch of free labor. When the work was completed my friend Eric walked me through each line item and explained what was going on. If you want your German car serviced with genuine parts by trained professionals at reasonable prices, German Car Specialists deserves your business. As the new owner of a gently used 2006 BMW M5 last year, I realized quickly that there is a lot to learn about the care and feeding of a high-performance automobile. The team has always been straightforward and honest about the needed parts and repairs in addition to patiently explaining the answers to my other novice questions. You can feel good that your money is paying for the parts and service of your precision-engineered automobile and not going to subsidize some ridiculous waiting room full of over-stuffed couches.

The only reason Im not giving this a 5star - is due to price on parts. While their labor cost is appropriate within the market - they have an opportunity to be more competitive with online distributors. Genuine BMW parts are sourced from very select suppliers. While understanding theres a cost to run their shop - Id suggest the owner(s) target more competitive pricing on parts; via better supplier cost agreements. Passing that savings onto the customer, or investing in next level diagnostic systems; will certainly strengthens customer loyalty.But there is upside. While the parts I purchased were on the high side - the shop says they will warranty them for 2yrs, and they do offer LoanerCar/Shuttle services (not many specialist do). Plus, the turnaround time was rather quick.Albeit - Customer service experience was spot on. You can tell they understand that building good relationships is what drives customer loyalty.

Ive taken my 2003 BMW 325xi into this shop twice now and have received exceptional service every time. They have helped me deal with a lot of the problems that have popped up on my 12 year old car while working within my budget. Not only would they search around the city to find me the parts I needed but they had a loaner car frequently available to help me get to work while my car was being fixed. I would highly recommend them to anyone because they will talk with you to explain the problem and help you find the quickest and most cost effective way to fix it for you.

Pretty rude on the phone

Rude management, overly inflated prices. Needed just one coolant hose replaced to the expansion tank, they wouldnt let the car go until they steam cleaned the engine, tested the water pump for fault codes and other unrelated stuff which I declined over the phone. Unbelievable. Call around, youll see other shops do the same work for way less and are more trustworthy and competent. Would give 0 stars if I could.

I took my BWM 335i coupe for oil change.I was very happy with the service and the cars running well. They gave me my regular change, checked all the fluids. The light replacement, They did give me information about all the regular maintenance but at no time did I feel pressured to take it. They also gave me information about how to get the best deal for my cars maintenance (upcoming sales, coupons, etc.). Ill definitely go back.

Very service oriented, easy to deal with. They have some loaner cars which is great, but more importantly BMW Bellevue wanted 12k for repairs, yes 12k..and I never truly believed their diagnosis. Moved the car to German Car Specialists who did their own investigation and result was can back on the road for 3k and running great. Would go back here again.

I have an 06 Audi A3 and have always had it serviced at the dealer...til now. My car was ready for the 75K service...the dealer was tied up and couldnt get me in for a couple of weeks. I had always meant to look into German Auto Specialists but for whatever reason Id just stayed with what was familiar. So I called. They could get me in the next day and the price was a bunch less!The result of my visit is that they are now my cars servicer for the rest of its life! Theyre really nice people. They really know what theyre doing. They have really good prices. Thats a lot of reallys but they deserve each one plus more.Theres a relaxed atmosphere there too. The dealer has more of a frantic feeling and there is a sort of nervousness about getting you to give them 5 stars or fantastically outstanding or whatever it is on the manufacturers followup. I guess thats part of the price of being a franchise. So I was very impressed. They both do quality work but for me, from now on, Ill be a dedicated customer of the relaxed, professional, comfortably priced services of German Car Specialists. Besides, I want to see Tonys Army helmet again...that, by itself, is worth a visit.

I am revising my review based off the visit I had. Ive been here about 4 different times, the customer service is nice and I like that a complimentary ride is provided to and from the shop, however I am very dissatisfied with German Car Specialists! This repair shop is just like all of the other crooked underhanded places who take advantage of people who know nothing about cars. I was only quoted approximate pricing for the work I had done and was not notified of the final amount until I picked up the car and of course the figures originally given to me didnt match the final bill! I had my battery changed, oil change, front light bulb replaced and an annual yearly inspection for a total of $916.00! The labor alone was $405! Then Adam (front desk guy) reccomended I get an additional $705.00 gas leak repair of course I did not get that part done! Then I have my car back for 1 day and the service due soon light comes on, I take it back and Adam tells me I need to replace another part that will cost an additional $1300.00!! When I replied in shock Adam stated Im doing you a favor by waiving the diagnostic fee which is $124.00! My BMW is getting up there in age but this is rediculous and such shady practice I have no intention on returning again! Very disappointed!

If you have the kind of car they service here, you already know what youre getting into with servicing it, but you might as well have a fleet of people on it who know your cars model inside and out, and are on your side with trying to source used parts if you need a bit of a break on the price. Having scored an old 2001 Boxster on eBay a year ago, I knew Id be paying a few grand for service at some point, given that I was sort of buying it blind, but I put it off for a while, reasoning that nothing was really complaining too much.But in the wake of a torrential NW downpout, it was leaking through the roof and the door, so I called them to tell them I had my own personal lagoon collecting somewhere under my seat (not due to incontinence – thats a separate review). The guy on the phone laughed and said hed just gotten two other Porsches in with THEIR own personal floor reservoirs, too, and he diagnosed the problem in two seconds over the phone.There is something to be said for people who fix the same models of cars for years – and even though OLD Porsche parts are still Porsche parts and cost accordingly, you can save a bit on service when your fixers spend more time fixing than guessing and troubleshooting.They fixed more things than I can mention – replaced my whole exhaust system, fixed my door problems, repaired the leak, patched my tire, replaced my convertible cowl, and some other crazy big fix with my drive train...? Maybe? It was *expensive.* But it would have been worse if they hadnt snatched up the one stateside secondhand part which would have been thousands more ordered from Europe. And it would have been more if they werent honest enough to come in UNDER the estimate when the labor went faster than predicted.Driving it off their lot today it was quieter and smoother than its ever felt. Plus they gave me a loaner for the entire week (or week-plus?) that I needed it, and were even understanding with me when I came in right at close of day to claim it. Solid peeps and great service. Everyone recommends them for a reason.

NOT GOOD FOR NEWER CARS.These jokers maybe good with BMWs older than 2000 but who knows. Anything newer and its basically a guessing game for them.They DO NOT have the proper diagnostic tools as claimed on their website. They are not using the same computer systems as the BMW dealer to diagnose vehicle problems. They are in fact using a sub-par diagnostic tool and throwing parts at the problem.I should have known after doing a buyers inspection and receiving a barely ledgibel and hand written inspection report on my $50,000 used BMW. Against my better judgement I decided to have some repairs performed at their facility. After spending nearly $3000 in unnecessary repairs I finally made a better choice and had 2nd opinion at the BMW dealer. They finally fixed the problem.As it turns out a German accent does not translate into BMW certifications.This place will probably be suitable for any 80s or 90s bmw but not anything newer. Do NOT take your MINI Cooper here. I should have just stopped when the tech called me to have more time authorized to check out my MINI stating We dont know what is wrong - we have never seen stuff like this before. I ended up having to take my car back to Northwest MINI because the diagnosis I was finally given was for a part that had already been replaced earlier this year, and was still under warranty at NW MINI. After NW MINI inspected my car, and after I had to pay $525 to German Car Specialists for NOTHING, it was discovered that they not only misdiagnosed the issue, but also didnt know about a separate KNOWN issue that was still covered under the manufacturers warranty. How is it possible that an Auto Specialist doesnt know about common issues with a car, and how is it possible that the $30,000 testing machine that the owner bragged to me about over the phone didnt pick up the same fault warning that NW MINIs did?

Tony is very incompetent, rude and unfriendly. Prices are way overpriced and service is terrible.

Would not go anywhere else!
