I took my C6 Grand Sport to Dan Fast after several other shops turned me down when asking to weld new larger tips onto my existing NPP exhaust. Brandon took a look, gave me guidance on the max tip diameter which wouldnt cause clearance issues, and ultimately did an amazing work on a difficult job with little room for error. 5/5 would recommend to others. I will be taking my vette back in for brake + rotor upgrade soon.

Excellent service! Honest people. The most pleasant car related experience I have ever had.I walked in, they popped the car up to see what the issue is and since it was a small one they fixed it right away and I was out in 15-20 mins.All other places I went to (for the same issue, before I stumbled upon Dans) had me wait around for longer than that to even identify what the issue was and then provided me with an exorbitant quote.

Blew the welds on the mid pip resonator, Dan Fast got me back up and running. Clean welds and nice pipe flanging.Great staff front of the house and back.

Did an estimate and diagnostic with Brandon. He went over exactly what was most likely wrong as well as what the worst case scenario was, he was very professional and had pictures of the parts and drew a diagram to help me picture exactly the problem and where it is. First review -They installed my 42 draft designs full 3 inch turbo back exhaust onto my mk4 gti 1.8t with only a 1 day notice! The worst news I got was that my long awaited turbo back exhaust was 4 inches to short and they needed to add 4 inches of tubing into the system to get it lined up. I kept my car over night for their welding man to come and got my car the next morning! nice welds and very nice people, definitely going to be a customer there again!UPDATED REVIEW - 7/16/20These guys are great! I was working on my mk4 GTI dogbone mount and couldnt get the last bolt out with hand tools for my new CTS TURBO mount to be put in. I called Dans Fast after calling 3 other places about renting power tools or breaker bars (apperently AutoZone doesnt rent tools anymore?, According to the employee) for this one bolt. After talking with Dans Fast, asked them if they could do it and I got in and out within the hour with a brand new dog bone mount. Also these guys dont seem to mind customers being under the car with them! I was under my car with them the whole time and it looked great! My engine felt like it was floating on the road! Very smooth and would recommend upgrading any engine/transmission/dogbone mount if your car is vibrating from a larger than stock exhaust! And the best part yet after they got my dog bone mount on. I asked how much they wanted for the install (they could of said something ridiculous like 200$ for that one bolt) (I was expecting to pay atleast 25-50$ for minimal labor) the shop manager Jorge said it was free! Got my catalytic converter replaced in my Subaru On 4/15/21. They refused to give me the old catalytic converter back to me. They initially said it would cost 350$ for me to get my own original catalytic converter back that they took off the car. After arguing with the front desk guy for a half an hour they gave me my old cat after I threatened to call the cops. Terrible customer service, they tried to screw me out of my own car parts. I will never return and I do NOT RECOMMEND THIS AUTO SHOP TO ANYONE.

I was super worried about my car when the muffler was making noise. Dan Fast was able to get my car better than ever before in the same day! I went to dans when I had my brake light go on.. I showed up after a call and they got me in right away. That was great. Not so great was them pulling my car into the garage space and swiping my tire and rim across the lift. They got the job done pretty quick but charged me $175 for battery labor which I just said sure to as I just needed my car back. Also there was grease stains on the outside along the drivers side door with stained steering wheel and stained seat. They didnt offer to detail my car only offered to do it themselves in which I was not about to trust. After driving the car for a bit (they did both rear brakes completely new) my car now wobbles and shakes whever braking. After the guy mocked my car being old it should have sent some red flags to that they werent going to take the best care of it, but I just had to have something done. 1/10 would not recommend to my friends. I spent about $800 in total and got my car back in worse condition than when it arrived.

I will provide a second update when getting my down pipe and muffler fixed. Just had the most amazing conversation super sweet over the phone. Treat women with respect which is really hard to find in a lot of shops. Excited to go over there to do business with them

Its not easy to find a good auto shop these days. Ever since I came across this shop more than five years ago, my experience has always been very positive; good diagnostics, fair quotations, and honest repair suggestions have pulled me back to them time and again.Very glad to see that the market indeed have a good place for these hardcore mechanics!

George is first class! I chose a loud muffler and didnt like it. He was very fair and replaced it with another. Got me finished in the same morning and I love the new muffler.

Masks off! 😷 I walked in the building, knocked, and a man came in from the garage entered the room without a mask on and started talking to me from across the counter so I just left. I love supporting local businesses but this isn’t okay. Completely unacceptable, unprofessional, and unsafe. COVID precautions are so easy. There’s no excuse for this.

Done full exhaust repair. Exhaust tips don’t line up as ones lower than the other. They welded on different exhaust tips. Just saying not the best. very noticeable.

*** BRAKE JOB SCAM ***After seeing so many positive reviews, I decided to repair the braking problem where my steering wheel would rattle/shakes when I had to hard brake. However, I felt that the brakes seem to work fine. On 7/29/20, I dropped off my Honda Pilot for a brake inspection in the morning. About an hour later, I got a call regarding the repair. The young man said that I needed to replace brake pads and rotors for all 4 wheels and that it would cost $1,200 + sales tax. I thought it was odd that I needed everything replaced all at once. Hence, I picked up my SUV. While picking up my SUV, I asked for a written estimate in-case I needed to come back, but the young man said the it was purged since I decided not to repair the brakes. Another thing to note was that Dan Fast Muffler & Brake didnt have any coronavirs safety protocol in place as there were no sneeze guard at the counter, and the young man without a face mask drove out my SUV from the garage. To make the matter worse, he didnt have any hand gloves on, and I was rather surprise to see him pull my SUV out of garage with a greasy and dirty hands. On 8/3/20, I took my SUV to Honda dealership for an inspection where I ended up replacing my front brake pads only. The dealership mechanic said that I didnt need to replace my rear brake pads, and all 4 brake rotors were fine. They just needed to resurface the front brake rotors to fix the rattling/shaking problem. As you can see the pic of my receipt from the Honda dealership, it only cost me $395 + sales tax.*** Thats $805 I could have been scammed! ***BE CAREFUL GETTING YOUR BRAKE JOB HERE, AS I WAS ALMOST SCAMED IF I DIDNT GET A SECOND OPINION!

This place is more than just an exhaust shop. I had been having issues with my brakes and couldnt get them to fully unlock. I did a lot of research trying to find a shop that was honest and reasonable. It took a little more time than anticipated. I expected that because of the amount of time it took, that they would charge more. They only charged me what they originally quoted me. My brakes work perfectly now and have no issues sense then. I would highly recommend anyone with car issues to check this place out. They know what they are doing and they go the extra mile to get the job done right. It is truly hard this day and age to find place that will do honest work and not over charge you.

I am extremely pleased with the experience I had at Dan Fast.I brought in an aftermarket exhaust to have installed on my vehicle. There were some alignment issues with the system. Even before the technicians brought it to my attention I could see that they were not happy with the way it was coming together. When they did come to me they had a plan on how to address the issue and wanted my approval before proceeding. Their plan worked exactly as planned and the exhaust fitment turned out perfect in every way.While they were working on my vehicle I observed as another vehicle was having a custom exhaust built and installed to the customers requirements. The technicians were true craftsmen and their attention to detail was impeccable.I will without hesitation recommend this shop to anyone looking to have exhaust work done. Great place! Super friendly and efficient. Ran into a barrier causing the plastic bottom of the back bumper to come off on one side. My dad recommended I stop by for a consultation (he had a great experience fixing his muffler). 10 minutes later the bumper is all fixed and for free!

You know that place where you get your vehicles work done, or Ill be right back Im taking it to my trusted mechanic? Yeah, its Dan Fast. Its the hidden gem that isnt so hidden anymore because they actually do quality work and everyone sure knows about now. And if they cant work on a set component, they refer you to a place that can, like a real network should be. They are always up front and if you can find a better place than Dan Fast, then they probably dont really exist or it is three counties away. Highly recommended for all kinds of engine, brake, exhaust work! Downside is that they are always busy which should tell you that they do quality work but is well worth a wait for great work. Dont take your Mercedes or Sprinters here! Despite assurances they knew what they were doing, I had to return to times to finally learn that this shop didnt have the computer nor expertise to address my brake issues. Additionally, they didnt change front & rear brakes as instructed, surprised me with a replacement of the brake master cylinder, and took the liberty to examine the cargo area which I gleaned from a conversation with the tech who asked if I was a big skier..I just spent $2614.18 to redo/fix the brake job they charged me for, including having the wear sensors installed (another thing I confirmed with them prior to having the work done). They may do okay work outside of the Mercedes/Sprinter realm, but I am very displeased with my experience here.

They fit me right in, diagnosed the problem, and fixed it within 30 minutes even though he estimated an hour or so wait.They clearly know what they are doing, are friendly, and provide awesome service.Highly recommend.

These guys are half baked knowledge without ASE certification. they welded a muffler on my car which started to rub by drive shaft right away. If I am paying more that 150$ an hour doesnt it makes sense to take a second look after the work?

Unfortunately, my exhaust failed when a tab tore away from the tail pipe. I decided to check this place out because of the reviews and showed up on the same day. To my surprise, the gentleman who helped me took my tail pipe from me and was able to clean it up, weld it, and give it back to me. To be able to do all that on the spot is really impressive. Of course, they were really friendly, as well.

The tail pipe was rubbing on the leaf spring in my 67 Camaro. Dropped by to have them take a look. They made a few tweaks on the hangers and fixed the issue. Fixed on the spot, no charge. The excellent reviews for the shop are correct, which is why I sought them out. 5 star ++.

The service i got there is well beyond my expectation! Right on spot fix without any unreasonable charge. Staff are very friendly and comfortable to share findings. Definitely my first choice for next repair work.

If you have any issues with your car, you have to go see them. I have been to a lot of shops around the area (including dealerships) and these guys are top of the line quality and service. They will beat dealer pricing and service any day of the week. They not only do exhaust but they do so much more, i.e. tune ups, oil changes, broken lights, and minor body work! I went to Dan Fast after reading good reviews that were written one or two years ago. I have no reservation in recommending anyone who needs muffler job or other services now based on my own experience.My car was rear ended and I suspected the muffler was damaged because it appeared that the car was noisier than before. Aaron, the service advisor, examined the muffler, found no defect, asked more information from me, checked again, explained to me what he had looked for and offered to look under the hood for additional possible causes of the noise.And they charge nothing for all the troubles even though I offered to pay.

One of the hangers on my exhaust had broken off and was making my exhaust sound like a fart cannon. I called in for an estimate and one the mechanics Houston let me know I could come in same day and he would do it free of charge! I came by and he stuck to his word, fixing my exhaust for free and offering diagnosis on other issues I had. I will definitely be returning for business in the future, thanks Houston!

Would give 6 stars if I could. Needed an O2 sensor bung welded up. First place I called quoted me 2 days and 85 dollars, these guys knocked it out in less then 5 min. and quoted me a fair price for the work.

Probably, the best car shop I have EVER visited – professional, fair, friendly and punctual. The approximate – quoted on the phone – cost of work was “beaten” by about 8% at the time of the actual payment. Came in as an ordinary customer and left as a friend.The only “negative” is a very small parking lot. 

Excellent quality. Prices are on the higher side but dont forget this is Bellevue and they do very good work.

I recently bought a new (2007) Prius despite a weird noise, suspecting a muffler issue, and dropped it off at Dans before work today. They called around noon to tell me I had a small exhaust leak and that I needed new front brake rotors (but that I could wait maybe another year on the rotors if I wanted to). I initially said I would hold off on the having the breaks done, but then Dan offered to give me a discount if I had both done -- so I went for it. No pressure at all, and the repairs were done very reasonably and with no issues. I would highly recommend this shop and I will probably take it there for regular maintenance down the road.

I try to give credit when credit is due. It seems like too many people only give ratings to complain. That being said based on the online reviews (and I’ll admit location) I swung by Dan Fast’s on my lunch break at noon. I am a bit of a DIY kind of guy, but my simple post-cat O2 sensor swap went awry and I broke the threaded bung loose in the pipe. I asked them for a quote and if they could have it done by 5 ppm (when I left work). He said he could do it, no problem and quoted me a very reasonable price to the time and parts. He said he would have to simply cut out the whole old piece and weld in a new one.This was almost a month ago and many hundreds of miles with no leaks. He even installed the new O2 sensor I had free of any additional charge and had it done early by 4 pm.I am happy with the speed, especially with the short notice and the work was good. I recommend Dan Fast.

These guys are fantastic, they went above and beyond when we encountered issues fitting my exhaust and making sure it sounded GREAT!

My brothers have come here for years, so I always knew about the place. Well i finally needed some exhaust work done and I was not let down. I ordered an aftermarket system that did not fit correctly at all, despite being made for my car.They customized it and were able to get the cross-member not to rub anymore and the leak between gaskets gone, and chopped off an un-needed crossbar on the exhaust itself. Like most other people have said, service was very low pressure. I dropped it off at 8:30 and it was ready by noon.I will be back in the future...possibly to have my brakes done!

Did not fix or even look at the leak at the header I dropped the car off for. Welded the pipe and put some sealant on for $140 at the muffler. Said the original issue must have happened since the fix and then offered to quote to repair the header leak. I will be looking elsewhere.

I wanted a quote on a job for my car. I wanted to straight pipe my 2013 dodge charger. I called and said I had a bored out v6 Dodge Charger and then they quoted me $500. Yet when my two friends called and asked for a straight pipe for a dodge charger that was stock they were both quoted $350. Complete scam artists at this shop.

The muffler to tailpipe flange rusted through on my 2010 Infiniti QX56 and for a second I thought about taking it to one of those muffler chains, but I am glad I took my truck to Dans instead.One of the chains would have undoubtedly told me to replace the muffler and tailpipe. I knew I just needed a repair that would attach the muffler to the tailpipe without having to spend a ridiculous amount of money.When I pulled into Dans this morning, I was put at ease when I saw a Mercedes AMG 6.3 and a newer BMW M3 in line to get repaired. Why? If folks driving those kind of cars trust this repair shop, thats a great sign. I wasnt disappointed.I explained my issue and the gentlemen quickly told me it shouldnt be a problem to fix. They looked at my truck and said they would have it done in one hour for - $90. Thats it. They did a great job of fixing it as they welded the two together, which is always a better fix than trying to put some split flanges on there instead. Trust me - their work is superior to any chain shop you would go to.Their service sets the standard and their automotive repair skills are superior to the dealerships. Trust me, I know cars and I also know how to work on cars. They are good - real good.

Called and specifically told them what I need done, just needed my old tips cut off, drove from Covington to Bellevue in traffic. I got there and then they say $150. That’s a price of a muffler delete lol.

Ive been with Dan Fast (Bellevue) for many years now. I regularly use them with oil change and other series of XXX mile check-ups. One time, one of my cars started bouncing slightly more than normal, so I took my car there as I doubted the shocks. After a while they checked the problem and said it was the tires, not shocks. I was a bit skeptical, but they are always accurate for the diagnoses they do, so I took my car to a tire shop. (it is too bad Dan Fast does not sell tires. I would have bought tires from them if they did). After replacing the tires, the problem is gone!! Dan Fast did not charge me a penny for diagnosing. Not sure it was because I use them regularly for oil changes, but it was very helpful at that time. Also, I recently got Check Engine light on my car, and they checked it for me after the oil change. They did not find any problems that the computer of my car indicated, and concluded it was just a dirty sensor rather than a real problem. They just cleaned the sensor for free and Voila!! No more Check Engine light. It was great that I did not have to bring my car to the dealer. I really recommend for using Dan Fasts oil change service rather than using the J-Lube companies. Dan Fast changes oil quite fast like in 20-30 minutes if it is on a week day. Just make sure they are not too busy before you hit the road.

This place is one of the greatest, ive taken about five vehicles to get exhaust work done, it was done usually same day no questions at a fairly great price, as well as sending customers ive had to them to get some great work done. If you want inexpensive work and fixes done quickly this place will suffice.If you want quality work that wont look like crap, and have good quality craftsmanship and welds that will last without leaking shortly after, stay far away.Took my Lexus SC400 here to have the stock resonators removed and an exhaust leak fixed. The oem piping is 2 and the piping they used to replace the resonators was 2.25, so the piping baloons up in size and then back down to the stock piping. The welds on the resonator delete looked like poop, and have chunks of slag and metal sticks sticking off of them. The way the pipes were welded makes the exhaust brackets above the resonators inaccessable (2 bolts each bracket, one bolt hole now un-usable) and is completely stretching the exhaust mounts, and my passenger side exhaust pipe is rubbing on my rear subframe with the car on the ground. The exhaust leak on the front of the car was fixed and they used a gasket I supplied, but for some reason they decided to weld one of the car-converter nuts which is attached to a bracket, to the converter heat sheild!!! What the hell? I have no clue as to why they would do this, and wouldnt just remove the nut and replace it with different hardware. Made it nearly impossible for me to get a socket on one end of the bolt because the nut they welded blocked it.Was really disappointed with the quality of work. However, the older bearded gentleman who helped me when I arrived was super cool and down to earth, definitely a car guy. Just wish more time was taken when they did the work, as I now have to have the exhaust completely re-done from the middle back.
