I have hired this company to replace our existing 22 year old deck. Everlast claimed they had their own crew and they stay closely involved in every step of the project. It turns out that they just order the materials, pass the job to a subcontractor, and lose all interest after that. Communication between the contractor and the subcontractor always seemed to be problematic. The contractor only came by once at the beginning stages of work, and never followed up afterwards. He never even saw the finished deck.Material quality: We were told at the time of the sale that the contractor would personally go to the lumberyard and select the materials so that we would get boards and posts that were clean and straight. We later found out that he simply called in an order; half the lumber delivered was poor quality (crooked boards, splitting posts, etc). We had to go through quite a bit of hassle to get the worst pieces replaced. Dealing with a subcontractor made things more complicated. Workers of the subcontractor did not know the contractor. They knew their own boss who wasnt at the job site either, so they would have to call him and have him call the contractor and try to work things out. They also didnt seem to know local building codes. The concrete footings they poured were not up to code. I had to download the local building codes document and show it to them to get the footings redone.Workmanship: The quality of workmanship is well below average for what youd expect from a deck that cost almost $20k. Two months after the completion of the work, the aluminum spindles on one side started falling off (we lost 11 in a storm). A couple of floorboards that were poorly cut and installed are now bowing upwards, breaking the screws (which were put in at an angle to compensate for poorly fitting boards), and freeing themselves. One of the top rails is not fitting right, and looks a bit like the track of a roller coaster, going down, up, and down again. Subcontractor initially seemed willing to work with me on fixing the problems, but later stopped returning my calls. Its too much of a hassle to deal with them. I may just hire someone else for the repairs.I cannot recommend this company.
The Everlast Salesman arrived on time and gave a clear explanation of what needed to be done. He asked detailed questions to determine the best roof for my home. The crew came out and installed the roof quickly without incident. The completed roof looks exactly like I had hoped. The price was fair and the job quality was high. I will recommend Everlast Home Improvements to others.
Cary and his team did a great job putting a roof on my home in OFallon IL. After Cary explained what was going to happen. The roofing crew came in and did the work. They answered my questions and were professional in completing the project. The clean-up was thorough and most important the house looked great with the colorful architectural shingles. I would recommend Everlast Home Improvement to anyone who wants quality work at a competitive price.
Scammers Beware! These guys take advantage of people who dont know better. They literally quoted me 28k! for a deck others were quoting at 4-6k.They even tried to convince me otherwise but i priced the materials myself and they are so full of it. Dont bother your getting ripped off, and even on the off chance they give you a decent quote...do you really want to support a business like this?
We needed a new roof. We had a few other bids, but then we met Cary from Tri-Max. He took his time and walked us through the whole process and we couldnt be happier. Our new roof looks great and we are now wanting them to come back and put on new siding.
Recently got an Everlast Home Improvements metal roof and we love it. The job was done quickly and it looks great.
They dont do metal roofs on outbuildings
