Store is clean and very nicely organized. Staff is very helpful. Usually stuff is in stock.

I found my costume at the last minute. Its all I cared about. Glad I made State Fair my ONE AND ONLY STOP.

Just went in to check out some Halloween stuff. The store is still nice and selection looked good, but the size of the store from what it always use to be is definitely depressing. Use to be really big and great experience to walk in to. They reduced the size greatly. The back wall is much closer to the entrance now and the side areas are gone. Alot less to display now and the experience of what it once was is gone.

I had bought Costumes planning to go out. Unfortunately I have been sick and back to drs. I was past seven day period I explained to guy what was going on and I could produce paperwork then Im brought to security guy he basically ignored what guy at door was saying. No compassion at all. I have gone here since I was little girl every year. Now I will never step foot in tbere snd will share the horrible customer service. Thank you for not helping during difficult times. I wish I could give you zero.

Fair selection of items, but no longer the super place it once was. As they struggle, the size of the store continues to shrink, and selection (due to store constraints) suffers. For Halloween they are no better than your run of the mill spirit of Halloween store, summer pool supply prices are high, and Christmas is overpriced and no better than most box stores at this point. If convenient, worth a stop, but certainly no longer worth going out of your way to shop there.

Ive been going for years always find what Im looking for in the past, NOT ANY MORE. Store had been reduced by more than half. Very little of anything left.

Picked up a costume for my grandson at this store . When I got home and opened it, it had mold and a dead spider inside the packageWent back to the store to return and they would not refund my money . Looked at other of the same costume and they all had mold .How do you not refund a customer for this .Disgusting..

This store has gone downhill. Only has half the store opened. Awful for selection of Halloween stuff. They used to do so much better this year Halloween 2021 they seem to no longer care about.

Super disappointing. I know its early but I was told by several employees that this is it for Halloween. They cut off half of the huge werehouse and its small as ever with no room for much. I guess now theres a kindergarten in its place? The magic is gone and I dont even want to think about Christmas time.

Contacted for a quote over the phone and attendant was rude as I have ever seen. Was ready to immediately buy a $10,000 pool, but not from here.

Love this place, so much so that it has became a tradition for us to walk through and snap a pic or two. While we hope to find our next Christmas.

Before today, it was YEARS since I was at this store. I must say it has been an improvement in the way the staff treats their customers. The employee (young male, not sure his name) was very knowledgeable and helpful regarding the pool chemicals and they were very well stocked (surprisingly since there is allegedly a shortage of chlorine). Unfortunately, the store is much smaller then in the past due to way less business. But Im happy they are still here. Their pool cleaning and pool chemical stuff was well priced and I thought that was great. However, I felt like their pool floaties were a bit over priced in my opinion. If I was in management I would consider that.

PLEASE BE CAREFUL WITH THIS STORE. My parents went into the store in late July to buy an outdoor patio set with a table, chairs, umbrella, and umbrella stand. They picked out a table on display and the store rep sold them the entire set plus a delivery fee of $50 to deliver to it to their house, which was 1 mile away from the store. Total cost with taxes and delivery was $840. Within a month the table and chairs began to leak rust. The rust stained the carpet and deck on which the set was located. I proceeded to contact the store about the defect. After 2 weeks of going back and forth with store reps, they finally were able to speak to owner and the owner said they would give a full refund for the defect. The store manager said they would be picking up the set and then we would have to go in with the receipt to get a refund. The owner sent her employees to the house to pick up the set. I proceeded to go to the store with the receipt to get the refund. THIS IS WHERE THE PROBLEM BEGAN. The storeowner only wanted to refund my parents $790. She did not want to refund the delivery fee even though they sent a defected table set. She proceeded to say that she was doing us a favor by giving us any refund at all. She mentioned that my parents should’ve known the table would leak because it is an import from china and therefore it is cheap material. She said and I quote, “They got what they paid for”. Insisting that it was a low price therefore it was bad quality. I proceeded to state that my parents did not speak English and therefore when they bought the set they did not know what they were buying because they figured that a store of that caliber would not sell cheap quality items. THE OWNER THEN STATED AND I QUOTE, “WELL THAT IS NOT MY PROBLEM THAT THEY DO NOT SPEAK ENGLISH. I SPEAK ENGLISH.” I FOUND THIS TO BE EXTREMELY DISRESPECTFUL AND VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. I continued to ask if she would refund the delivery fee of $50 since they only delivered it a mile away and the item was defected and now my parents have nothing to show for paying a delivery fee. She continued to say she would not refund the delivery fee and that we were lucky to get a refund at all. Therefore, please be careful and avoid this store at all costs. They do not care about the customer, and they sell cheap quality imported items as the owner herself mentioned to me. The language remark was extremely disrespectful and unprofessional especially for someone who owns a small business in an area including many different languages with many different people who do not speak English.

Super expensive!! And be careful if you order pool packages because theyll sell you an expensive kit and then give you something else and not inform you that they dont have half the items . Then make you sign before even loading your products and you cant even get a refund.

Very wide selection of festive Christmas stuff definitely have to look around for a little bit they have a lot of different things watch your pricing because some of the prices are a little bit high but Im sure theyll be having a big sale after Christmasthey have a seven-day return policy with original receipt keep an eye on that. Great store. Mostly sold out of many things as of 12/20/20. I thought there would still be more as of this date. I went one year after Christmas and was able to find many items. I guess 2020 may be unusual. Next year Ill go around Thanksgiving.

I really like the store because any time of year its fun to go to. I remember going as a kid for Halloween, Christmas, or even in the summer just to go with him for pool trips. However the one thing I really hate is when I was leaving, there were a group of cashiers that did not wear their masks and had it over their chins. I was a little upset by that because its one thing to be in the back and doing that (which I think is fine because theyre nowhere near the customers) Its another thing to do it right in front of them.

Theres a global pandemic going on... 2 employees here outright refused to put on a mask today. And then blamed the customer who asked them to put on their mask for not standing 6 ft away from them. Ive been shopping here for 11 years. I believe in supporting smaller businesses. Spent $400 TODAY WILL BE MY LAST visit. Next time Ill go to Target ;)

I love Halloween & in the past I believe Halloween at State Fair started around Sept 12. It was around my husbands birthday. Ive been coming to this store around 30 years. Ive seen it evolve over the years. But today when I stopped in I was surprised & kind of disappointed as they were not entirely ready. Employees were still in the process of unpacking merchandise. There were no animated displays set up. Im hoping that within the next week or so theyll be ready. Giving them the benefit of a doubt because as everybody knows this has been a year from hell in many different ways.

Apparently no employee here adheres to the state of New Jersey’s mandatory order of wearing masks & when a “manager” was asked about it, he stated that his boss said no one has to wear one. This business has already been reported to the state & I encourage others to do the same. Not to mention how rude and hostile they all were. Take your business to Spirit Halloween instead guys.We will never be coming back here and will never spend another penny here & encourage all others to do the same.Last note- all their products are cheaply made and overpriced anyway.

Was looking forward to visiting this store to pick up some items after the holidays. Two male employees (one seemed to be a manager) weren’t wearing masks inside the store, thus disobeying the state’s indoor mask mandate. This left a bad impression and I won’t be going back to the store.

Great stuff and beautiful displays of decorated trees, not 5 stars because of the prices, i understand that its a limited time to make your money, but 6.50 for 1 ornament is a bit overpriced in my book.

We purchased our above ground pool and customer service was great. Joana helped us with the town permits needed and couldnt be more professional. She went above and beyond for us. Also gave us a great pool installation company.

Most Joker costumes were sold out at other places, but State Fair had plenty. Parental discretion needed for smaller kids, because some costumes/decor are a outrageous (scary/provocative)😉 But wide range of prices for any budget size. Love this place!😄😍

Its Saturday and I was here at 5:10. Theyre closed. Within 5 minutes, 7 customers, including myself showed up to see if we could shop and buy things we need. Whomever has decided to close the store at 4pm on Saturdays, needs to seriously reconsider that stupid idea! The business is losing lots of money and customers that are going to other stores to get what we need.Its not only inconvenient, but its a dumb move on the stores part.

State Fair Seasons aka Spirit Halloween is located on Main Street in Belleville I came here for last minute Halloween Shopping the store was very busy my experience was ok they have all the costumes you need and if you’re just looking for any type of costume it’s good the service is alright the vibe is bad though they do have lots of ghost in there

No one wears a mask, no hand sanitizer, no social distance, no cleaning of the carts, no covid19 compliance at all.

Very good. Had trouble with the motor on the filter and the gentleman at the counter took a look at it and fixed in 5 minutes. I felt so stupid but now when it seizes again I know what to do.

This place is a Season and Holiday super store. Everything you could possibly need for the holidays and pool season. Only one thing I notice as of lately. The management and some employees do not follow the States Mandate to wear a mask indoors. Complete disregard for customers and employees.

I had the best experience at State Fair. I took my son daughter in law and 8 month old grandson there for his first costume. They had to evacuate their home in North Carolina due to hurricane Florence. They came to NJ. Upon arriving to State Fair we were told the Halloween section wasn’t open yet. I explained our situation to a lovely lady at the register. She spoke to her manager and allowed us to enter the costume section and get my grandson his first costume. You have restored my faith in humanity which is tried on a daily basis. They were so sweet and kind in understanding our situation. So looking forward to my trip to NC to trick or treat with my grandson aka precious little puppy( his costume). Thank you again ladies you made a difficult situation much brighter for my family. Job well done!!!!

Went during Halloween time. This store has EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING Halloween. Huge selection.

Its a regular store with great stuff for the changing seasons. But the staff seem uninterested in helping the customers all the way up to the cashiers. So if you know what you want and dont need assistance your fine. But my wife and daughter and myself needed help but it didnt work out so we walked out.

I was looking to buy a specific garland which they had on a Christmas tree but they didn’t have it for sale anymore. They said they are saving it for after the Christmas for Christmas sale. They didn’t want to take it down and sell it to me. Super strange. Sales girl was very nice. She tried. Managers absolutely suck.

The people working here are very helpful! This store is a great place to stop by for Holiday decor. Its nice, clean and organized very well. Do expect to pay the regular price for most of these products. Id recommend coming here if you have the money to spend it, if not look elsewhere.

Absolutely love this location, great selections of Halloween decorations and props including costumes for adults and children. They even sell Halloween contacts on hand, limited to certain selections and prices do seem to be a bit more expensive then other Halloween stores. Plenty of parking and a great pizzeria next door to them 🎃🤡🎈

Very spacious place. Great customer service. They have everything you need for the holidays.I went there to pick up Halloween supplies. I picked up some graftobian face paint, blood gel, and liquid latex. Their prices are pretty fair. About the same as online. TONS of costumes.

By far the BEST Halloween store around. Beats all of the pop-up stores and Party City. They have great customer service and outstanding prices! The selection is truly incomparable to other stores. They have specialty make-up, up-scale decorations, great bargain costumes and masks! Also, their haunted house is awesome! Perfect for a weekend night with the kids. I have to say I do like State Fair because I love holidays Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years. They have great decorations fun decorations and some other things but I kind of think theyre too pricey a lot of things that I like I cant afford.

I went in for a propane tank and was told they did not have any left. I go back into my car and notice someone not my skin color go inside and come out with a propane tank. If I wasn’t so busy I would of raised hell but went else where

I bought and intex filter from State Fair. After 6 days of purchase it stopped working. I didnt think about keeping the receipt as my first one lasted me 3 years. Called and talked to the manager. She gave me so much attitude didnt listen to me. I told her I have shopped at the store for years and never had an issue. She was so nasty and should not be a store manager. She even hung up the phone on me. Thank you for your rudeness. Will no longer shop her and Im thankful there is another pool store up the road. Horrible customer service!!! Also on amazon I found the same filter for $40 instead of $80. I try to shop local but the is double the amount. Definitely never going there again.
