I had recently encountered this business when I had a blowout up the road from them, on the highway. I had googled this place as the closest tire shop to my location. I work an hour out and didnt want to drive so far on the spare, as well as seeing a bubble in the front tire. Told them I was there to get two tires changed and they told me I had a 3 hour wait. There is 6 bays and only 3 were occupied. Never have I ever been to a tire shop and had to wait 3 hours for a replacement. Went to the next tire shop up the road and only had to wait 20 mins with a packed lot. I just believe they didnt want to service me for whatever reason.

I had a strange electrical issue where I was gradually losing power to the battery over time. I went through 3 batteries in 3 years. Tested the alternator, changed the terminals. I could not pin point it. They figured out that an old iPhone after market adapter that I had Best Buy install 9 years ago was the culprit. Bravo.

I was referred to them by AAA, The introduction was very pleasant, the problem began when i received my vehicle back i was charged 39.99 for each tire to repair and balance the two. After paying Meckfessel, As soon as my vehicle got to my driveway the air had leaked out one of the tires and it had to be aired back up. When i got on the highway my vehicle was shaking so badly that i thought my motor was going to fall out, or my tires were going to pop off. i was so upset that i did not want to endure any more issues with this company, i just wanted my troubles to go away. So i Took my car back to the tire shop i initially purchased my tires and rims to find out one of my center pieces for my rim was damaged by Meckfessels, the other tire shop helped out a lot by balancing my tires for free, after hearing my story, and it runs so smooth now. The other tire shop also tried repairing the center piece that was destroyed by Meckfessels but found out it was no longer repairable. Called and spoke with the Manager Mark and the way he spoke to me was very malicious, he told me verbatim He was not going to pay for my center piece and he would only give me a in store credit. I felt like after all the additional trouble and damages his company caused me he would issue me a credit back to my debit card. Just five days ago when i got off work my vehicle the same tire was on a complete flat, i called again and spoke with Mark, he told me he had a funeral to attend on the next day and he would contact me during the week, four days has passed and i have yet to receive a call back. I will never refer anyone to this company and i hope AAA will not either.

Meckfessel Tire Co performed requested 80K mile service on my Subaru Outback and replaced both front struts (because one was showing a leak), and did the associated wheel alignment. Very easy process; they picked up my vehicle and delivered it back to my home. The struts were an added service that they were able to complete the same day. MTC have been great to me over the past years and continue to earn my respect and satisfaction. They always alert me to potential and upcoming issues, providing me with enough information to make a decision to carry out repairs the same day or postpone until a future service (I generally have them take care of issues right away rather than waiting for another time). MTC also works on my Toyota Camry, which is now approaching 300K miles! A friendly and great team to work with.

Had a slow leak in one of the tire on the car I had just purchased. Took it to Mcfessel Tire. I have had nothing but great service from this business. They discovered the leak was a cracked rim. (darn pot holes). I dropped the tire of on Wednesday morning and had back on my car Friday morning. Great job guys!!

I called bc I had an issue with a slow leak on my truck tire. I had purchased these tires from the Meckfessel Smithton location but felt it better to drive to the downtown Belleville location not knowing why the tire was leaking. I called ahead, and surprisingly they said to come up later that afternoon. They got my truck in, fixed the leaky valve stem, and I was outta there within 40 min. Been living in this area for about 10 years and just recently came across Meckfessel over the last few months when I needed tire mounting only for a tire/wheel package that I had bought online. I was pleasantly surprised at how competitive their prices are and most of all, the great customer service they provide. I’ve been back for oil changes / radiator flush and plan on coming back for other auto maintenance needs. They are also really good at calling or emailing you back (Mark personally emailed me to follow up on how they did).Can’t believe I’d driven by their Belleville store many times and parked almost in front of them when I went to the DMV, but I had never noticed them since the signage is not too visible. I actually found them when I was looking up tire mounting services but they do a lot more and the staff is extremely nice!!!

It is always difficult to know who to trust when you need your car worked on. Now I dont have to worry about that. Dan and the crew are great. As a small business owner, it means a lot to know that this is a family owned business that really has the customers best interests in mind.

My family has been going to meckfessels for over 20 years. They still have great deals on tires, and I find them to be fantastically trustworthy, but their prices on repairs​ have gotten a bit ridiculous over the years. The last 2 major repairs weve sent to them, I felt, were on the high side, but they already had the vehicle and I trust them. Now, when I sent them a car that needed the starter replaced the quote was just shy of $600. I dont know what magical fairy dust theyre snorting these days, but a $120 dollar car part, diagnostics, and labor (which the book list as 1.2 hours) does not $500+ make. I called around, EVERY shop in town was significantly lower (one shop quoted me $275.71 out the door with a lifetime guarantee). Also, this is the only shop Ive ever used that does not waive the diagnostic fee if you decide to have them do the repairs. After 13 years of doing business exclusively with this company, its time to find a new shop.

I have been a loyal customer for years and will never go elsewhere! Last week I was driving to work in Creve Coeur, only to be run off the road by some idiot on a cell phone. I jumped a curb and blew out a tire, which was just what I needed as we were leaving town that afternoon. I called AAA since I was far from home and they wanted me to get to the closest tire place, which would have been Dobbs. NO THANKS! I had him put the donut tire on, then called Dan and made the long drive back to Belleville, driving 40 MPH, with the flashers on, in the far right lane, during rush hour traffic just so I could get back to someone/somewhere I trusted. The tire wasnt in stock but they were able to get one in and we were on the road that evening as planned. Love the family owned atmosphere and the stand-up employees. Huge shout out to Dan Willcutt, Matt Schmidt and Andy McCall for all of your help!! If it werent for them we wouldnt have made it out of town on vacation as planned!
