The rear axle on my f150 began leaking in a very unusual way, such that the car shop nearest me wouldn’t touch it. Bertco was recommended to me by a friend. After explaining the situation to them, they agreed to do the work. There were difficulties along the way, but I appreciated how Brian would take extra time to explain where they were in the repair process. Both Brian and Mike were a pleasure to deal with. The price was fair given the amount of work, and I will not hesitate to recommend Bertco to anyone looking for an trustworthy mechanic.

Bertco was my place to go. As you know it’s hard to find a “decent” mechanic around. Bertco did wonders with me an my car for about a year. I was to the point where I wouldn’t take my car anywhere else but here. Late July of this year I had to get my car towed to Bertco because it wouldn’t start. I got a call saying my engine was bad and it needed to be replaced. I went with my gut feeling and got it towed to another mechanic to get a second opinion on it. If I’m paying 6k for a new one I’m getting a second or third look at it. Sure enough it wasn’t my engine it was the timing chain. So I paid 1300$ else where and not 6k for an engine that didn’t need to be replaced. Like I said, this place was my go to and it’s a bummer they tried to get me for a whole car. Definitely will not be stepping foot on this parking lot no more. Be careful!

Been using Bertco for the last three years. Brian and Mike are fantastic. They do great work and I never have to worry about them doing extraneous work for the sake of profit. They shoot straight on what needs to be done and what can wait.

Awesome honest reliable service every time! Its so hard to find an honest car repair center these days that doesnt try to take advantage of you and try and up sale you on items that dont really need to be replaced. I dont take my car anywhere else. I highly recommend this place!!

Love the service they wont bs you into getting work done that doesnt need it. Straight forward and doesnt cost an arm and a leg. Very friendly and if he cant fix something he will tell you where to go where they wont cheat you.

Brought my car in to get tires mounted and when I went to get my car the old tires were still on and when he had me take the car home. I then saw the speedometer didn’t work. He told me to change my alternator so I did and the speedometer still doesn’t work and I haven’t driven my car but now it’s making a knocking noise. I went back to tell him about the issues clearly upset and he continued to try to defend himself as if I was threatening him and even stated “don’t threaten me” when I was clearly stating that if he were to continue to do work I would supervise to clarify and dispute any further issues we may have if I had issues with my car after the job. They had to drive it to another shop to mount the tires and he stated the speedometer was working but an employee of his brought the car back and nothing was noted about the speedometer not working when the car was brought back. He even stated “I won’t get in trouble” assuming I was going to try to get him in trouble somehow. I’m not sure exactly what they did but I definitely don’t recommend.

Bertco stands by their work. We had them tune up our vehicle (200,000 miles). A few weeks later it was running rough, brought it back to Bertco and they found the problem, fixed it with no additional charge.

Took my car in to Dobbs Tire & Auto Centers - Shiloh last weekend and they said whoever changed my oil last time screwed things up and put the drain plug back in terribly damaging the threads.When I informed them that THEY had been the ones to change the oil last, they changed their tune to blame wear and tear.Rather than deal with the lying and excuses I took the car into Brian at Bertco Automotive. He fixed the problem, changed my oil, and noticed a broken part that Dobbs hadnt caught!Im so glad well be living close to Bertco again and I can stop dealing with Dobbs completely.
