Appointments mean nothing. I made one for 1pm and was told it would be about an hour and its currently after 3pm (still not done). Ive never heard of a 2 hour oil change in my life. When I told them that, they just said sorry man.I was supposed to be on the road to Austin 30 minutes ago. My 3rd time coming here and theyve always done right before (otherwise this would be 1 star). I wont be back.**they gave me 50 percent off for the inconvenience. I appreciate it, but my time is a little more valuable than that. Raised the stars to 3**

Very disappointed with this place. I called in a appointment for oil change. When I arrive they told me it was not set up. However that my vehicle would be next after a fixed flat tire. O was there almost 2 hours and they never pulled my vehicle in. I asked for my vehicle key while explaining my wait time and the worker just shrugged it off and said its fine. I stated to him that it was not fine. Maybe a O am sorry would have suffice, but the pride of the worker (since its not his business) was very egotistical. Extremely disappointed 😞 Will never return to that place. This is my first review of a place that I have ever done.

I recently went to this Firestone on Bellaire Blvd for my Honda repair, and was given an estimate of $ 2507 for the repairs. Finding that too high, I went to another place close to home who fixed it for $100. Yes, Im not kidding! My Honda is 7 years old, so of course, Firestone offered to change several parts that didnt need repair, and I had no way to know. The problem was my car was making noise while driving, and the issue was that one of the tires had a bubble. Firestone identified that, plus said I need wheel bearings for my tires, hub stuff (I dont even know what not) and a few other things estimated at $2507. Total cheats! Im never going back to these guys. (BTW, the shop that fixed it for $100 is Joes Auto Care on Stella Link, an honest guy whos been around for decades).

Got new tires & new sensors a month and a half ago from them, two days after that my sensor was saying I had a low tire. I had an appointment this morning at 8 got there a few minutes before took them a whole hour and a half to just tell me that the tire was good and they just put air on it. Doubt they even checked if the sensor was bad.

Bought a brand new tire here. The very next day I got a Check Tire Pressure light on my dash. There was nothing wrong with the new tire, but they never cared to check the air pressure on the other tires. All the other tires had LOW air pressure. WTH! I just bought a brand new tire from yall, the least you can do is check the pressure on all tires. Discount tire is way better.

Its waste of time going to this place. I wanted to get my wheel alignment done. When I dropped my car they said it will take an hour and will call me. But I dont get call for 2 n half hour and when I called they said it will take few more hours. (So unprofessional)

I went to this location for a pre purchase inspection of the vehicle that I was selling so that I could make sure that everything was on order with the vehicle before selling it. I was told by an employee that it would be better for me to make a appointment so that I wouldn’t have to wait. I was also told that it would take 45 minutes to a hour for the inspection. My appointment was at 3:00pm. I arrived early and checked in. My vehicle wasn’t moved from where I parked it until 3:35. They pulled it into the first stall where I was able to observe what was being done. Twenty minutes after pulling it into the stall they were finished. They never removed one tire. Yet they told me that I needed front brake pads and rotors. I recently had the a/c compressor replaced with a brand new one. They told me that I needed a new a/c compressor and that it was leaking. Then they told me that I needed a new battery because it wouldn’t hold more than a 50% load. Then they told me that my oil pan had a leak and that the gasket needed to be replaced. They were so kind to provide me with a estimate for the work. Which was almost $3000. I knew that they were lying about everything accept the battery possibly. So the next morning I went to Autozone and priced a new battery. Autozone removed the battery. They tested it and told me that there wasn’t anything wrong with my battery! It was taking and holding 100%! I called Firestone and asked to speak with the manager. He was conveniently unable to talk. I explained everything to the person that I was talking to and he assured me that the manager would call me back. Needless to say, I never received a call back. Bottom line.... STAY AWAY from this place. They are scammers and taking advantage of their customers!

I came here to get a second opinion about steering/suspension work suggested by the dealer. The checkup is $22 and they said it would be about 90 minutes. After 90 minutes they showed me what they found and gave me an estimate to fix it. Their price was very close to the dealer cost (and they would use after-market parts). So, Im checking with the Goodyear shop (Bellaire Tire & Service) across the street that has much better reviews and was suggested by my neighbor. See my Bellaire Tire & Service review!

I had gone here before and treated me right but this past Monday bought two new tires and asked for alignment and once they return the car they said they had tried there best for a good alignment but that the car needed some repairs to have a better result which is ridiculous!!! And when asked to place the new tires in the front that short white guy said it wasn’t recommended which before they had done it to my other vehicle

A bit expensive and longer wait times are to put up with for a quality service and a job well done. They are thorough in their work and will catch problems ahead of time reducing future maintenance costs. Always have deals or coupons available through website and they honor warranties. It is the goto place for me.

I do NOT recommend getting your cars serviced at Firestone. Service is slow and all parts are outrageously priced. Filters cost more than $50 when they get the parts for $10 or $20. Ive now learned my lesson and hope more of you will find a good local auto care place for your vehicle needs.

Extremely rude staff. No proper greeting. Don’t really care to help. Do the bare minimum, collect the money and move on. Asked for a copy of battery test and refused. When to the car, asked a question to the tech and he pointed to his AirPods and walked off. Not just me but another custom actually said it out loud, “So Rude, don’t think y’all know what customer service is”.

Was a fan of this location, but after my last visit might consider. I dropped my car off around 2pm to swap out some rims all 4 was told to come back in a couple hours, I called around 4pm and car still wasnt even touched. 6:30 came around I went to Firestone and my car still wasnt touched looked as if I didnt show up they were going to leave it on the lift and do it the following day. I waited another hour until they finished 7:30am just now noticing my tires had an offset wider tires in the back and well the put the rear tires on the front.

Went in on Sunday morning 02/16/2020 at around 10:45 to get two new tires, i walked in and one employee was with the only customer in the store and the second employee was standing at his desk stapling papers together and would not look at me or say anything. I waited for some time right in front of him but he won the contest and I went to another tire store. Apparently he is above speaking to lowly customers.

The 3 hour and counting oil change. I called at 10:15 this AM, before coming to see if they would be able to get me right in. They said yes. After being here for 2 hours, they said there was a problem with the lift and they are just now getting to the truck. 2 hours of waiting and they didn’t bother to let me know they haven’t even started on the oil change. At this time, they said 15-20 more minutes for the oil change and I’ll be done. Another hour has passed. I asked what was going on and the guy came out and said they didn’t have the right oil and they had to order it. I asked for my truck back and he said they have already drained the oil out of it. Again, it would have been nice to know what was going on, so I could have gone anywhere else for a stupid oil change. I am now a prisoner at their shop. Just go somewhere else...anywhere else.

I scheduled an appt. Check in was smooth & fast. Wait time was alot shorter than i expected. The guy that helped me, Paris from St. Louis, greeted me promptly when i entered the store and was very polite and courteous with a beautiful smile. The only thing i didnt like was the extra charge for checking alternator and starter since I already knew i needed a battery. However service was good. Waiting area was clean and pleasant and smelled nice👍

Don’t go there!! It’s usually our go to place for regular maintenance, but under the new management everything is changed. They failed our car Texas state inspection because they claimed the power steering pump leaks. Their diagnosis is based on that they found dirty under the pump and my car is 12 year old. I told them we had power steering fluid flashed 1.5 years ago and we kept checking the fluid level and it never changed/dropped from there. And we don’t have any problem with the power steering ever. They just said, oh, then that must be very slow leak. And of course they gave the estimate of fix it, the pump would cost $273, plus labor total would be $408. And I checked the off market pump is only around $100.The Texas state inspection is eliminated from this March. seems we are the last fishes in the sea. They have to get us!

Ordered tires for my Jeep 3-4 days in advance and schedule an appointment. When I arrived, I was told they didnt have them in stock, but could order them for a future install. Whats the point of having an online ordering system that cant tell me if they are in stock & how hard would have it been to give me a call? I wont be using Firestone for future car service, tires, or anything else.

I dont like to share bad reviews, but I need to share my experience with this place. Every time I come for just an oil change they will take 5 to 6 hours. They give you an estimate time of 1.5 hours which I accept if they are busy but then I always end up spending practically my whole day there. If you take your vehicle there, be prepared to wait for a long time or just leave the vehicle and ask someone to take you back home.

I came here to replace a car battery expecting a sale based on the ad online. I was sorely mistaken. It only applies to certain sizes. The online rebate they said should save me some money did not work and on top of that I had to wait almost 2 hours. Only bright side was this good burger joint next to them

This is one of the best auto repair shops I have ever been too. The staff is respectful and courteous. They are very honest about what is wrong with your car and do not apply high pressure sales tactics that similar places tend to do. At the end of the repair, they provide a detailed report about the safety of your breaks, tires, windshield wipers and headlights. The shop is clean, as is the restroom. They also provide complimentary water and coffee while you wait. Great place will definitely be returning.

My family has been going to Firestone for years; as long as Ive been driving a car. I really like Firestone. The one we use back home in Charleston, WV is great. They are always so helpful and friendly and explain everything before they do it. I moved to Texas and found this Firestone right down the street from me. The first time I went, it was ok. He kind of explained why he was doing what he was doing, and I thought he was being helpful. The few times Ive gone back since then, Ive realized their helpful tone is actually very, very condescending. I know nothing about cars - obviously, or I wouldnt be going to Firestone. The way they explain things to me makes it seem like I am a kindergartner getting scolded for not doing something correctly. I called another Firestone a few miles away to ask a question, and right off the bat he was much more friendly and helpful. Needless to say, I will be making the longer drive to the other Firestone from now on.

I want to take a moment to thank Chris, the Firestone representative who helped me with two very poorly timed sets of vehicle troubles.First, I brought in my 2011 Nissan Rogue which I knew was going to have some kind of brake-related problem. What I did not know was that one of my control arms was broken, my brake pads were completely worn and my rotors could not be machined and had to be replaced. A simple brake job turned into a mini-nightmare, oh and I almost forgot, my brake lines need flushing as well.Chris worked with me while I literally sat on the other line with the bank/credit card companies to make sure I could cover the costs. Chris told me which issues were the most pressing and which could wait but at the end of the day, none of them could really wait and I ended up getting every service except the brake line flush.I was really considering just selling my car at that point, I was foolishly unreasonable. Chris was patient, polite, understanding, and incredibly helpful when it came to bringing me back to sanity!Three days later I bring my 2017 Ford Explorer in for an oil change and a tire patch (my wife picked up a nail when she pulled off the side of the road in a hail storm). I thought the tire was patchable, I knew my tires were already pretty worn, but I was really hoping for the patch job. Go figure, the tire was unable to be patched/did not meet Firestones standards and I will not take my car anywhere else but the dealership for service so I ended up purchasing a brand new set of tires. The sense of relief I have knowing both my cars are drivable and in extremely great condition is worth more than the money I paid to have the services performed by Firestone.I want to thank the entire Firestone team, but especially Chris, for keeping my family cruising safely! We never take our vehicles anywhere else and trust you when your team tells us something is wrong. Firestone is the closest we will ever get to having a mom and pop feeling with the service of a national company.Thank you all again, especially Chris!

Firestone overcharged ($1000+) my mother in her 70s for a simple spark plug replacement. We were about to sell the car but knew it would be a waste since everything else is in good condition and replaced prior..we consulted with a friend who’s a Toyota repair technician and he said that the charge quoted was not accurate and far more than she should have been. It is disappointing since before my father passed he brought his car before so we thought they would charge fairly as we had brought in repeat business before. I am glad we consulted and it is unfortunate when an auto business takes advantage of a senior. Will not return nor recommend. We had it fixed for a much more reasonable price.

STAY AWAY! These people are leveraging the state auto inspection process to sell tires, which is despicable, infuriating and probably criminal.TLDR: they failed my cars inspection and tried to sell me $600+ tires to pass it. I took it elsewhere, and it passed as is.After dropping my car off for an inspection, I received a message stating that the car had failed due to one of the tires being unsafe. They included a quote for $600+ for 4 new tires in the message. Before calling back, I looked up the tire requirements on the DPS website. When I called back, the person who answered the phone told me that the tread needed to be at least 3/32 inches deep. I told him that the rule is actually 2/32 inches deep and to please re-check and call me back.He called me back in 4 minutes, which hardly seems like sufficient time to re-check the tires, and now the story was that there was exposed metal on one of the tires. I told him not to do anything and that I would come pick up the car.When I arrived, I asked the salesperson on duty to show me why the tire had failed. We walked outside, and he lazily gestured in the general direction of the rear two tires saying that they were worn unevenly. I acknowledged that was the case, but said that according to the rules on the DPS website it was not sufficient reason for failing the inspection. The tires are less than two years old and are on a Lexus RS 330 that was literally driven by a grandmother for most of that time. They are imperfect, but resoundingly adequate.Ultimately, he was unable to show me anywhere on any of the tires where there was exposed metal, which was their most recent reason for failing the vehicle. I told the salesperson that I was going to take it elsewhere to have it inspected. I asked if he wanted to bet me $100 that the next place would pass it. Wisely, he declined.I left and immediately drove the car to the next closest inspection place, where *OF COURSE* it passed inspection. I returned to the Firestone shop, showed them that the vehicle had passed and asked them to return the $25 I had paid them. They said they could not return the money and gave some more vague reasons why they had not passed it. They didn’t seem one bit surprised or concerned by any of this. Business as usual, I suppose.The worst part of this is that if you don’t have an hour of time and $25 to piss away just to prove these ass***es wrong, then you’re left sitting in their waiting room weighing the chances that you’ll get a ticket versus the cost of the new tire versus the cost of another inspection. It’s the very definition of predatory, and I will be contacting the appropriate authorities.

Came here needing a basic alignment and tire balancing. While they were able to source a tire from another location in a reasonable time frame for a irreparable tire; when the vehicle was done it was left in the lot while I was waiting inside for a considerable time. It wasnt until I walked outside to see what was going on and saw the vehicle ready that I was told it was ready by the staff. When I was ready to leave the car had to be re racked in order to print out the alignment paperwork to see what the issue was and it tacked on additional time. Overall time spent at the location was over 5 hours. Poorly operated and I will not be returning back to this location or a Firestone in general.

Never go here, they are the worse. We were told it would be 1-2 hour wait and that there were only two people ahead of us, for two tires so we waited. Almost 3 hours later were still waiting and our vehical is up on the rack untouched. Im paying $270 for standing for two hours because the lobby was full and they did NOT HAVE ENOUGH CHAIRS for people to sit in. I will never ever come back to this place again. They are ridiculous and shameful. A lady was sitting in one od the children chairs. Pathetic place. If you can keep riding keep riding by this place. No sorry for the inconvenience or nothing. This location and others have routinely not followed my specific directions, failed to do the job as required, provided substandard work, and over charged for all that poor service. Ive spent more money fixing their mistakes than is worth mentioning. I am done with Firestone for good. Horrible place, beware!!! Needed an AC fan motor replaced took my 2014 jeep to these guys. They put a jumper in place of a relay fired my battery and claimed these things just go out. The battery was only a few years old take your car to the dealership save your money. I will not be returning

I have been using Firestone for years because its an easy walk back to my house after i drop it off. They are nothing but helpful and professional. The other day I took my Tahoe in because the belt was squeaking and after replacing the belt tensioner that I thought had gone wrong the squeak was still there so i took it in. They had replaced the belt a year earlier so they put a new belt on the car and did not charge me. They do great work and treat you properly.

I had a very bad experience here yesterday. I usually use discount tire for my tire needs, however, I decided to give firestone a change. I had an appointment for 4pm. I had called ahead of time to make sure that they were not too busy and that they had the tires I wanted in stock. I was given an estimate wait time of 45 min. I ended up waiting in the store for two and a half hours. I was quoted a lower price and ended up paying 10 dollars more for some reason. After I got home i realized they put me under the wrong customer name. They had the wrong address and wrong licence plate number on my receipt. They also installed the 2 new tires on the front of the car instead of the back of my car. The only reason they get an extra star is because customer service offered to contact me after I took their survey. Edit...removing my extra star. Customer service never bothered to try and resolve the situation.

Took my car in yesterday to have tires installed that I bought from tire rack. I had an appointment set for 4:00 in the afternoon. I arrived and noticed that all the service bays were empty, and I asked if they were still open. They were open, just not busy at the time was the response. I sign my paperwork and proceed to the waiting area. I notice after 15 minutes that my car is still in the parking lot, and that other cars that arrived after me were being brought into the bays for service. No one wears name tags, so I cannot identify the sarcastic and rude employee that “helped” me, but his attitude was snide and offensive. He claimed that having an appointment put me at the top of the list, which is a lie, since others that arrived after me were helped before I was. They left my wheels filthy and covered in grease, and disposed of a tire I requested to keep. The guy had to go out to the truck that picks up old tires and rummage around to find the tire I specifically requested to keep before the appointment. No one listens to the customer and No pride in workmanship here, will never come back! On top of everything, I specifically told the worker my wheels were powder coated, and to please be careful. I just found crowbar indentions on the wheels finish, horrible horrible horrible.

Came to this location for a tire repair and receive minor maintenance for an oil change and freon refill. They claim to notice a brake fluid leak and a leak in A/C... said repairs were needed. I told them to hold off and only repair the tire so I could take it to our regular mechanic.. and they saw nothing wrong. Im forever skeptical of this Firestone from here on out.Update: posted that original review 3 years ago and had no choice to come here again because Goodyear across the street has remained closed on Saturdays during Covid. I got new brakes and rotors from these guys and they made a ton of noise 3 days out. I’m not knowledgeable of what they did wrong but my primary shop said they were installed poorly. Steer clear from this place if you plan on doing anything other than getting new tires. They have consistently let me down over the years.

I had only good experiences at this shop for years. Today marks the last day I will ever spend at dollar at any Firestone let alone this one. I went in for a check engine light and oil change. I told them that it was running rough and making noises. They check the code on the check engine light and it says its the mass air flow sensor which was corroded which can cause it to run rough and even stall. I told them to go ahead and fix the issue after moving some funds around and returning a few days later. The truck stopped and would not accelerate on my second trip to the shop. I told them this and it was explained to me that most likely it was the sensor. 2 hours later they call me and say the truck is ready. I go to pick it up, pay the money, and they say its still making noises and it could be the transmission but no check engine codes were given for it so it might not be an immediate need. I drive 1 block and stop at the next stoplight. Once again it stopped and would not accelerate. I called Firestone and let them know I am literally a block away I can see the shop can you get a tow truck or someone out here to help me. I was stranded in the middle of Bellaire Blvd and Mapleridge, in the afternoon rush hour traffic. The guy had the nerve to give me the run around on the phone while people are honking and trying to get around me, that hey we fixed the check engine issue and thats why you came in so we dont need to pay for a tow truck. I was livid, did they not even test drive the truck before they said it was ready? How is it my fault they let me drive away in a car that clearly wasnt fit to be driven? I hung up on him and was able to get a friend with AAA help me out. Awful way to treat your customers. Never going there again, future customers beware.

I WILL NOT EVER VISIT HERE AGAIN! I dont know about all Firestones but this place was horrible. We were over charged, and there was no disclosure about the full price of service. A job that should have only taken 1/2 a day took 2.5 days due to their lack of organizing. Go at your own risk.

I have purchased lifetime alignment for all my cars but since this one came under new management, they humiliated me for 45 minutes saying they could not find record for my car. Sam the manager is extremely rude and disrespectful, raised his voice and kept interrupting me and walked off after talking without even listening to me. He said you have to bring the receipt to prove it as I cannot find it. As if its my responsibility to save receipts from 2 years ago. I even pulled my receipt from my credit card transactions for the exact date. Still he was not satisfied. They were just having fun with me it seemed like.Never again.

Visited the firestone on Bellaire . Had to wait a bit but once the car hit the bay I was out in just over an hour . Mechanic who worked on my vehicle was top notch . Its worth the wait.

I will stay away from this shop . i called them before noon for oil change and was talld to drop the car off and it will be ready in about 40 min. well 2 hours later called them to see whats up was informed they didnt even started to work on it called again 40 minutes later was taled well didnt you call 10 minute ago we will let you know when finely went there 3:50 it was finally done . they put a new oil sticker that was left blank like i should guess when to go for oil change again

Most unhelpful, rude people I have run across in a long time. needed a new tire for my daughters car. walked in the door and was greeted with a cold stare from the young female employee who never asked if she could help me. An older man came in from the bay, asked what I wanted then informed that they were slammed and I would have to wait 3hours. Went to Goodyear, who took care of me even though they were closing early. In and out in 20 mins. Firestone lost out on an easy $200 tire sale.
