Without a doubt the best ice cream in Maine! All organic and delicious flavors. They even have a dairy free chocolate which barely any places offer. If you’re in Bangor or Belfast this is a must try.
Wow! Best ice cream in New England. Had vanilla triple fudge brownie, pecan turtle, and peanut butter something. Even the rainbow sprinkles ($.50 extra) were great. Going back for sure!
Ice cream flavors are inventive, high quality, and delicious! Young staff was very sweet. We arrived close to closing with an indecisive kid, and they were very nice and didnt rush us at all.
Holy Cow. Seriously. There are a lot of well-rated ice cream places in Maine, and weve tried a ton of them, but this place is the real deal. World class. And I say that as somebody whos had ice creams, gelatos, and sorbets all over the world. The fruit sorbets here have intense fresh fruit flavor to rival anything Ive had in France or Italy. The vanilla ice cream is as rich and intense in vanilla flavor as the finest gelato. The fruit toppings are homemade and bursting with fresh flavor. And that dark chocolate sorbet is a culinary marvel. Intense, rich, creamy, chocolaty, You will not believe its a dairy free product.Dont skip Wild Cow Creamery. Its the best.
Chocolate ice cream float and strawberry crumble come was the best we ever had. Amazing service as well.
Great ice cream on hot summer evening, close to park to sit on big granite stones and look out at boats moored in bay and beyond
Amazing ice cream. Thats all you need to know.
So many variety of flavors it was really difficult to select any one, tried out the cherry pastry one and it was amazing . The stuff was quite good and helped us in choosing the best of the lot . Will definitely revisit once I visit Belfast.
Absolutely the most wonderful ice cream.so many unique flavors.
100% TERRIBLE- walked up to window tonight to be told to “take a step back” and wear a mask- I was so confused since I’m vaccinated and I was at a take out window and we were outside! You do not need to wear a mask to be OUTSIDE.If this was inside their establishment & IEntered without a mask on and passing their rules on a door, I would better understand being treated so disrespectfully. There is a way to speak to people - they need to learn small businesses won’t last long with local people if they are being treated so poorly.
Best ice cream around, and they change the menu frequently.
Normally you guys are spot on. But the last 3 times Ive been there. Ive gotten freezer burnt icecream and didnt feel like I couldnt say anything without my head being bit off
First trip of the season to my favorite ice cream shop in Maine.
There were not many flavor choices and my dark chocolate sorbet was soup in less than 10 minutes. The taste was good though. I also wish the sizes were displayed because I didn’t know I could get half a scoop, which would’ve been great.
The owners are like ice cream chefs, often featuring ingredients from other local businesses and having the integrity to not make a flavor if they cant do it properly. For example, they have yet to create a pistachio ice cream because they want to avoid heavy use of almond oil like most places trying to make a quick buck. Snobs like me can taste the difference, so dont do it unless you can do it right! Im big on textures, and so many flavors were made up of several parts that sustained interest until the last drop. Wild Cow refrains from using stabilizers, which provides a full flavor albeit possibly sacrificing a bit of density - taste is usually best right at a melting point anyway.Even more, I love supporting business owners who clearly get joy from sharing their passion for their creations. Wild Cows flavors are so unique (and constantly rotating) that I had a hard time choosing what combo would go well together. Sarah was incredibly, incredibly patient with me - proactively offering a sample wherever my eyes wandered, despite a growing crowd behind us. There are so many standouts that Im sure you could sample a few flavors and find one that suits your needs. At this time, you can get two flavors in a single scoop and thus four flavors in the 2-scoop option. Flavors are constantly rotating too - apparently they went through 78 last year alone!Wild Cow undoubtedly has the chops to compete in Austin, TXs growing ice cream scene. I would set aside my own lactose intolerance concerns if I could become their taste tester. I hope yall open up a store down there soon!
It was good. Nothing really mind-blowing but a pretty normal good ice cream....
Great ice cream and service! One-of-a-kind delicious flavors in a great location. Worth eating in the cold.
Excellent 👌 ice cream. I had the Mexican chocolate which sounds wierd but was so yummy. We were invited in with big smiles from the staff and samples of the flavors that we werent familiar with. Highly recommend and will be making another trip soon. Oh yeah and I forgot to mention its all hand made!!
Oh yeah, this is the place to go for ice cream and sorbet. We come here often and always have something new to try. Very creative flavors and combos. We have a p-nut allergy in the family, and always feel safe eating here as well.
They had some good flavors. I liked that they had vegan flavors that tasted good as well. The regular ice cream just wasnt creamy enough for me, other than that it was great.
Their ice cream is the best I have ever had. Most of their items are homemade even their waffle cones. I cannot say enough good things about this establishment.
If you stop in Belfast, don’t leave without trying Wild Cow. Ive been coming to maine every summer since i was in the womb, and have tried every ice cream shop from Portland to Stonington, and nothing beats this place! Great Ice cream.
One of our families favorite summer things to do is get a scoop of ice cream and walk along the harbor. Such amazing unusual flavors.
Best Ice Cream Ive ever had, hands down, and I eat a lot of ice cream. The Orange Chip is my favorite but you cant go wrong with any of their flavors. Not to mention, the people are almost as fantastic as the Ice Cream!!!
Organic, pure, delicious, not over sweetened...and the owner is a sweetheart. Grateful for local and ORGANIC ice cream shops !
We visited Wild Cow Creamery today in Belfast, Maine and to sum up our experience and comments .......WOW! Best ice cream EVER! Thank you Sarah and Ryan, owners, for a nice visit.Noon and Dorain Foster
The Banana Pancakes and Salted Caramel Ice Creams go really well together. Wild Cow has the best ice cream in town!
Chocolate waffle cones - who knew? Yummy ice cream after a nice walk on the waterfront.
Very good variety of ice cream gelato and a selection for vegans.
Great customer service and I love the ice cream I particularly recommend of the old fashioned vanilla
