A little hard to find behind the Belfast Food Coop but a great selection of books at good prices, good coffee and good cookies. It is the kind of place that makes Belfast so special. Now I know where to buy birthday and holiday gifts.
I was happy to see the antiques paired with the books. The selection was well displayed.Sadly, there was no greeting, no way for a handicapped child to get to the second floor. I look forward to a more welcoming atmosphere at the next visit.
Great selection of books. The 1800s barn is stunning and the treats are homemade and delicious. Met one of the owners and she was so friendly and welcoming.
Honestly the most charming, delightful bookstore I have ever been in. The selection is both vast and eclectic, and three of us each found a book we were eager to read as soon as we got home. While we were checking out, the owner asked if we could wait a moment while she took a batch of cookies out of the oven. (!!) There is a small bakery attached and we left with new books, homemade bookmarks, and three giant and delicious lemon snickerdoodle cookies. Great YA and children’s section, great adult fiction. Don’t miss this!
I actually stumbled upon Bellabooks on accident one evening when attempting to find a coffee bar that was still open. Some locals recommended this place and I thought to give it a go. It definitely did not disappoint! The coffee bar was simple and decently priced, offering both iced coffee, hot coffee, hot chocolate, and tea. In addition, the poetry selection was one of very few that I’ve seen in most other libraries or bookstores. Not only did it hold all the classics, but those of which were uncensored and love-sticky. For artists, bookworms, and hopeless romantics, Bellabooks may be the exact place you’re looking for in the midst of the main-street bustle.
What a fabulous, perfect place! Everything to feed a reader’s soul in one welcoming, cozy home.
Adorable book shop with antiques and a kookie design. If youre NOT looking for current best sellers, this place is your gem. Carefully curated both new and old.
Must visit! Im in Maine on vacation and stumbled upon this most charming bookshop by accident, and what a happy accident it was! I wish I lived here just so I can come here every day. Great service, great ambiance, great books, great coffee.
A really wonderful independent bookstore. They have a great selection of books for all readers, plus coffee and cookies to go with them in the quiet courtyard behind the bookstore. The courtyard was a cool and quiet oasis on a hot summer day during our recent family vacation. And it was a good thing I remembered our visit when a day later, on our way back to New York, I realized that I forgot our nice Nikon camera hanging off the back of my chair! I quickly called the store and the owner Gary agreed to mail the camera back to us. A cool new bookstore discovered, vacation photos saved, and a couple of grateful customers!
This is my favorite book store to go to. The owners are so nice and very helpful. There selection of books is great. I highly recommend
The owners have a great eye for books - you can close your eyes, point to anything on the shelves, and it will be a book you will love. Very good coffee, great cookies, great conversation. Really a nice place to stop by any time of year.
Amazing chocolate chip cookies. Cool books. Some antiquities. Funny owner, super nice guy. If Im ever in Belfast again, Im returning for a looky and a cookie.
Was particularly happy because the owner *knows* books for teen / pre-teen boys. Took 4 boys ages 9-14 who all were out of books and need action and fun in their reading and the owner knew just what to recommend. Very happy.
Our favorite book store by a lot. Come for a book, leave with a hot cup of coffee and great cookies too. In the summer they have local bands perform in the garden
Sometimes odd hours but unique collection and worth the effort to hunt down when open. The copies and coffee are unsurpassed.
T has everything from books to cookies to antiques! Best place to find a book some furniture and a treat!
I love this place so much! They always have the books I am looking for or amazing books I find such interest in, also very nice people!
There only part better than this neighborhood book stores warm atmosphere, are the cookies. Gary and Kim are enough a reason to come in, and they can recommend books like no one else.
Best bookstore I have been in for many years!!
We always buy books here and it wasnt open. Tried calling and left a message and heard nothing back. Very sad.
The best local bookstore with great coffee.
Neither good not bad
