Not as good as I expected. Ordered a hot fudge sundae and they put hot fudge on bottom. Most of ice cream is gone before you get to sauce. This was one of our favorite places to go. When we travel to Ma. again I will just get ice cream which is delicious!

A typical new England ice cream stand - that means the scoops are enormous! The kiddie size is plenty. They have a good variety of flavors of hard serve ice cream and a few flavors of frozen yogurt (not a lot). I was hoping theyd have more flavors of soft serve but they only had the standard chocolate, vanilla, and twist. I have no idea if they make their own ice cream but the hard serve is similar Richardsons in texture (which is delicious and creamy). Definitely recommend the seasonal toasted coconut flavor. Theres a parking lot but no seating so you have to loiter around if you want to hang out and not eat in your car.
Well lets just say that i have never lived next to an ice cream palace, in the New England sense, people stand in line waiting while some turkey buys ten pounds of bulk ice cream, we inline exhaust our fantasies and start jumpin in a dance crazed in anticipation. Please make a window for just an anything ice cream cone, the smallest is three times too much!!
While Ive only been to Bedford Farms in person once, I can confidently say that they have some of my favorite flavors to keep in the freezer. We often grab half gallons of ice cream that last quite a long time. As someone who is partial to chocolate chip based flavors, the fact that their chips are enormous was quite a pleasant surprise the first time I had the mocha chip - my personal favorite from here.
Ice cream is delicious and huge portions. Lucky to have found a spot to sit outside on a bench, otherwise we would of had to sit in the car. But love their ice cream.

I wish they could do more than one flavor in a small. I’m almost certain they used to allow that. The large is truly massive, yet only two flavors max.Other than that, I’ve been coming here since I was a kid and the quality and service are always great.

Wow .... Excellent choice of ice cream flavours. They are super tasty, creamy and fresh. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Service is quick and with a smile. You can also ask to try a flavour if you are not sure what to get. I found a small cup to be quite a lot of ice cream. They also do cones and smoothies. If you are passing by be sure to stop and try some. Yummy!
I like taking the kids here on a hot day when were in the Bedford area. The only downside are the benches. Sometimes there arent quite enough of them and theyre a little icky from all the ice cream that people have dropped on them.

Normally I would give them a 5 - live their ice cream and service usually good but I dont like being disrespected and ignored. After waiting on the person in front of me and fully aware I was waiting in line, the server walked away from the window and never returned. Not a word to me, no sign put up, and I patiently waited. Finally the customer in the next line mentioned to her server that I had been waiting and the server just said that window is closed. I left and went to Kimballs in Carlisle - also good ice cream and they actually served me.
Visited this place for the first time. Tried cherry bomb and butter crunch ice creams. Both of them tasted too good. Cherry bomb is a must try.

I found Bedford Farms after attempting to get ice cream at Kimball Farms and leaving because the lines were insane. Their lines arent as crazy and their ice cream is still really good. It was a great alternative and I would definitely go back! Only complaint is they dont have a smaller, cheaper cup for dogs...otherwise 5 stars!
Having them next door of my house makes it even more special.

There is no doubt that Rons in Dedham has the better vanilla-based flavors, but in the whole country you will not find better chocolate based flavors then at Bedford Farms... Okay Greaters is in Cincinnati is probably better than both of them, but just by a hair. The kiddy is so big :-) really good stuff.

I always get the half gallon Mint Chip and Chocolate Icecream I would have 2 Milkshakes a Day on Milkshake Monday. I would definitely recommend coming to this place. I would comeback here for sure. Always awesome. Best chocolate peanut butter frappes/shakes ever (order muddy river frappe or peanut butter cup frappe with chocolate sauce). I feel like Kimball gets the press but as far as my family is concerned Bedford Farms is just consistently much better.
I got a large cup of Maple Walnut ice cream. It was massive! The ice cream was excellent with huge pieces of walnut and really good maple flavor. It was almost too much ice cream, though! I think it was around 5 or 6 bucks for my cup.
The quality was great; I had the toasted coconut, and it was delicious.The service left nothing to be desired.
First visit today. So much to chose from. Ice cream was awesome, but I wish they had a better location so you didnt have to smell the restaurant next door and hear all the traffic. Get it to go and find a better spot, its worth the trip.

So yesterday we (my daughter and I) are celebrating 11 years of her life, because she has a brain tumor. She love her Oreo ice cream she said was perfect, but Im surprised with the Almond Joy ice cream, just wow incredibly delicious and is like the candy bar. Simply amazing. The service was fast and friendly staff. Thanks for the ideas to make this delicious ice cream... Yummy

I love this place... large variety of flavors with some unusual and uncommon ones that are delicious, too! Best of all, they are one of the few ice cream stands that are open YEAR ROUND for those off-season ice cream fixes... I think they have been for at least 5 years now. And the staff is always fun and helpful, too!
A MUST to visit if you are nearby this is by far the best ice cream Ive ever had. So many flavours to choose from in the pictures I have attached I had Cookie Dough and Oreo and these were amazing. Had actual bits of cookie dough and Oreo inside. Texture was great and taste was fantastic. Id recommend though to get a kids size one as even a small is very big in my opinion.

The ice cream is homemade and some of the best around. Its creamy and just enough flavor, however, the chocolate milk shakes/frappes are very chocolaty. The staff is all young people and some are friendly and some have a bit of an attitude. The attitudes are worth dealing with though for the yummy ice cream. 😋

Love this place. Something about it makes me feel Im at a real farm. Usually get pistachio frozen yogurt. Their regular flavors are excellent. Its a 20 minute ride for me but worth it.

Amazing ice cream especially in a town that I barely frequent. There are always a ton of lines, especially on nice nights over the spring and summer seasons and they always have a ton of wonderful flavors to choose from. When I needed a little more of a topping, the girls at the counter were able to accommodate that easily and I was satisfied as I was able to not only have good ice cream, but I was able to use my card to pay for it unlike other places where I have to pay with cash. Overall, amazing ice cream parlor and local business.

I really liked the ice cream however they dont allow you to eat in the parking lot even though you are not able to eat in the parking lot the vibe is very nice and just a nice place especially for a time like this.
Best ice cream around. Although I’ll always be bitter that they got rid of the flavor bursts, because the cotton candy was my absolute favorite since I was a kid! And then they went and got rid of my second favorite which was the peanut butter frozen yogurt... Monster Mash is a must have in the Fall, and I also recommend Green Monster which is available year round.
Coffee Oreo is the best flavor. Kid size is good enough for an adult like me. Unless you really wanna eat a big portion, then small or regular is a lot already.

Great ice cream. The girls that scoop inside are friendly and helpful. When my four year old dropped his ice cream, they replaced it with no questions asked. I wish they had a better seating area.
Great ice cream, very good selection. They often carry one of my favorite flavors which is coconut. The portions are generous but not overwhelming! They are also open in the winter and then the ordering counter is inside. This has always been a favorite place of mine as I drive here buy here several times a month and its hard not to stop in and get an ice cream!
Its a treat to get ice cream from here. The staff are friendly and helpful. The portions are LARGE, just like the rural place you grew up on, with REASONABLE prices. I was super happy with my flavor choice and will be back to try out more.

Nice place to go to for delicious ice cream in generous servings. I had a raspberry lime Rickey this past visit and was not impressed with the flavor. It tasted like soda water with a touch of flavor. They need to improve it!
