I dread when its time to purchase a new car.Hertz (Barb) made it super easy. No pressure to buy bigger or better, no hidden surprises, everything was upfront. Michael (F&I Manager) even got me a much better rate/payment than what my own bank had prequalified me for. Was not expecting to walk away with a car from the comfort of my own home in a matter of less than 5 hours. They delivered the vehicle to my home and were gone within 5 minutes. Super smooth process! They took care of me. Thanks!

Trash! Unorganized! I made reservations 2 weeks prior and they were sooooo nice to cancel me 1 hour prior to pick up because the airport took all the cars. After finally getting a car it was so dirty that it had an old face mask in the glove box that was used, looked like it WAS white before. I can go on and on but rather not give them more time.

Though the facility looks closed when approaching from the east, Hertz Car Sales is open and doing business. Im not sure, but I think they are using a facility that previously belonged to another, larger dealership. The people more than make up for outer appearances. Our salesperson was polite and very no-pressure, there mostly to answer our questions and ready to assist. We had called earlier about a couple of specific cars and she was the person we spoke to on the phone.To make a long story short, we left after test driving the cars in order to fulfill our obligation for test drive appointment elsewhere. We called to be sure that our salesperson would still be available, since we were less that impressed with the other location.We bought one of the cars that we had originally inquired about.It was a good over-all experience, such as purchasing a car can go. The other managers that we encountered were every bit as courteous and patient with us as our salesperson. The financial managers explanation of each stage of the process was simple and easy to follow.Overall, a good experience and I highly recommend checking them out if you are in search of a pre-owned car. I know the drill about being careful when buying a fleet or a rental car; that other people can be very abusive to a car that they dont own. Possibly, but Ive never treated a rental car any differently than I treat my own. (Who wants to pay for any damage?) On the flip side, the cars technically have one owner (Hertz) and they are cleaned up after every use, as well as having a regular maintenance schedule. Mileage varies on these cars, but they are worth a test drive IMO.As I stated earlier, when approaching from the east on the feeder road, they dont look to be open: the main gate is closed to the road since they dont use that side of the building on the inside. The lot with the cars is on the west side of the building, and the turn-in drive is easy to miss if you are driving too fast. (We did and we had to circle back. Im glad that we took the chance that they actually were open.)

I dont really know what those 1-star reviewers are talking about. I did my own research before going to Hertz Car Sales Irving, got pre-approved with a financing company, printed out the offer, and drove to this place. The place was packed with people buying cars and I had to wait around 10 minutes before a gentleman approached asking me if I had been taken care of, or if I needed help. I explained to him that I wanted to see a specific vehicle and he promptly gave me the keys to go see it and explained that a sales person would come talk to me. I spent a good 30 minutes checking the vehicle before Michael Aguilar approached me and asked me if I needed to talk to a specific sales man, I told him no and he promptly took care of me, we were test driving the vehicle 10 minutes later (he had to move 3 parked cars before we could take mine out). During the financing process I showed him the offer I had in mind and that it was pre-approved. He took all the details and offered to run the credit check through other companies in case there was a better one. Sure enough, he came back with an offer with monthly payments that were $12 less than the one I had. He offered me an extended warranty, which a courteously rejected, and he did not push or tried to make feel like I was performing sacrilege. The whole process took around 3 hours since arriving until I drove off with my vehicle. All the sales people seemed respectful and courteous, but from experience I can only tell you that Michael Aguilar is your guy. Make sure you eat a hearty meal before coming here, in case it is packed like it was for me.

Damon Schaumburg was our sales specialist and we cant say enough good things about him. Damon was very knowledgeable of the vehicles and explained the benefits of each. We decided on a 1 year old Cadillac XTS at a great price. There was an issue with a noise the car was making and Damon was all over it, making sure it was nothing to worry about. He even had the Cadillac dealership inspect and verify that the only thing that needed to be done was to replace two worn tires. The price of the car was so good that we had ample room in our budget to put the tires on the car and STILL save hundreds over other dealerships cost for the same car.We are thrilled with the car and HIGHLY recommend Damon Schaumburg and Hertz of Irving! Tom Duncan, site manager, made all the paperwork and such a breeze. I will gladly recommend them to others who are looking for a good deal on a well-maintained, late model, used vehicle.

We were beyond tired and aggravated with car dealerships when we decided to visit Hertz in Irving. (see my Google review of Clay Cooley Chrysler) Finally, we found a place that wanted to sell us a car for the advertised price, no add-ons, no hidden fees. Damon S. was a breath of fresh air and a real pleasure to work with. Everyone in the building was friendly. We knew what vehicle we wanted, liked the price (great price!) and told him we wanted to buy it. It took only 1 hour and 40 minutes, from walking in the front door to driving off the lot, to buy the car. Thats how its done. We will definitely tell everyone we know about Hertz and Damon and, when the time comes, return for our next car.

Well I finally called corporate and the reason why Toya couldnt even find it because my tab was still open on the person who hit mes insurance and Toya was nice to me but her manager he was just like oh its the bank oh here take this number he didnt want to hear nothing because not for a minute would it have been this anomaly situation where somehow my rental was attached to the last rental number used and there was a glitch in the system certainly it couldnt have been that certainly I was just causing problems right Harry you should call corporate if they didnt already call you dont Slough people off

I talked to Damon for a week about a Volkswagen car and he gave me all the information I need. I am living in the Houston area, so he kept in touch with me during the week to let me know that the car was still available for sale. He added $15 for the test drive out of his pocket so that i try the car. He was friendly and approachable during the transaction as well, and he was answered all the questions I had, without being annoyed. I recommend him and Hertz Car Sales.

Searching for cars online and received a text from VT. We set up an appointment and upon arrival he had someone in his office already. I walked around the lot looking for the car we talked about and called and text him to notify him that I was onsite. He came out and said he was almost done and that he operate by appointments. I told him I know, you are the one who scheduled me for this time. I asked him where was the car, I can at least look at it while he finishes up with current client. He text 5 - 10 minutes later and told me that the car was sold the day before (which is the day he scheduled for me to come in). So I wasted 2 hours worth of time and gas in traffic on a Saturday.

The manager Tom was knowledgeable, and Enrique, the finance director was honest. The no haggle prices and fair trade value were superb. We will purchase our next used car from them. Nothing But LiesThis dealer tried a trick many dealers try. They sell you the car and you leave thinking everything is alright. The next day, the dealer tells you the financing fell through and you have to bring the car back. When you do, they give new deal for more money.When I purchased the car, I was told this was the third time they were submitting the credit application and it had to be the last time. I was also told an extended warranty was required by the finance company.The next day I was told my financing had been rejected. Obviously this was the first time they submitted the application.The extended warranty was also a lie. The contract clearly states the financing is not contingent upon it.When the dealer called they said the bank would report the care stolen if I didnt bring it back. Other times they said the bank would repossess the car. Both were lies. Why would a bank that had rejected the financing do either of these things? Also, the bank confirmed they werent doing either of these things. They were surprised when I asked if they were.The general manager also called twice claiming to be the bank. The second time was to my employer. I had given the dealership permission to verify employee, not to involve my employer in a dispute we were having.It took three months but we finally settled this. I was able to keep the car for a lower payment than the original deal.Dont buy a car from this dealership. The are other Hertz dealerships and you dont need the problems this dealer caused me.

Great staff all around. Damon is the new guy and he took care of me. I wasnt able to sign the documents on the day I went in to purchase the vehicle due to the office system shut down for company and database updates. Therefore I returned the next day to complete the purchase. Damon was very helpful and provided me transportation home. The staff was very apologetic and assured me that the documents would be ready and the car would be held until I returned. They even offered to come to me and deliver the vehicle and obtain signatures. I informed them that it was not necessary and I would return the next day. The system shut down took place after 9PM, and that was very well past closing time. Damon and the rest of the staff should have been on their way home for the evening. Instead they were getting me set up in the vehicle that I wanted. I have purchased vehicles before and never has it been this easy. They are not there to haggle or waste your time. So if you want to purchase a good car and be on your way in a timely fashion. Dont hesitate. This is your place. And did I mention, I got a great deal on a great car.

VERIFY THE FEATURES!! Salesman, Lou, was great! Very nice and knowledgeable - made me feel comfortable. My issues - Extremely disappointed that MANY of the features they listed on their website for the vehicle are not actually on the vehicle!! Unfortunately I didnt think to verify until it was too late. Auto headlights, blind spot monitor, Bluetooth, rear-view camera, and several others. All listed - none on the car. Also, during the financing they didnt tell me the trade in value for my car and didnt give me the option to choose an extended warranty and gap insurance before they prepared the contract. They just added what they wanted. Manager came to me with three payment options written on a piece of paper and had me select which one I wanted and only briefly explained what was added when I asked about the amounts. Wasnt given any specifics until everything was ready to sign. So if you decide to shop here just verify the features to make sure youre getting the car you think you are and if needed be pushy to have a say in what youre paying for!!

They Tried To Scam Me.They tried what is called a spot delivery scam or yo-yo sale on me(Google it). When I purchased the car, I was told they had already submitted my credit twice and that day was the last time they could submit it.There were no problems during the purchase but the next day the salesperson called saying the bank couldnt verify my residence(I had given them three proofs of it), and the bank was going to report the car stolen if I didnt return it.Immediately I realized they had lied to me several times. They didnt submit my credit until after the sale. The bank rejected the financing, so they had nothing to do with the car and they were werent going to report the car as stolen.The lies continued. The salesperson said the financing was contingent on purchasing an extended warranty. The contract says it is not. The next day Rick, the General Manager, called claiming to be the bank. (A California bank calling from a TX number? A banker with a LinkedIn profile that says he is the GM of the dealer?).This type of nonsense continued. The only time it bothered my was when they called my employer, which I feel they had no right to do, and tried to put my job in jeopardy.The only new twist later was after I made to payment to the dealer. Rick threatened to contact the police. For what I have no idea, because I made a payment on a car I bought a month earlier?This mess was finally resolved when the dealer sent me new paperwork with a different lender that surprisingly didnt try to cheat me.Stay away from this dealership. There is no reason for you to go through the three months of problems I did.

I know what I want and I wont settle.Daughter needed a new car and wanted a Yaris so we thought wed give Hertz used car sales a try after a horrible experience at Park Place Toyota in Grapevine.Elvis, the salesperson at Hertz, was honestly one of the best salespeople Ive ever worked with to buy a car. He stayed open late for us on a holiday weekend making sure the car was exactly what we wanted and all the little fix-its we wanted were complete before we bought it. He even offered to make an additional key for the car at no cost to us. He was so very kind and patient with us.The price of the car was exactly the same as we wouldve paid at any dealership, but it also came with a 1 year warranty. Plus, 5 days to return the car if we didnt like it.I have nothing but positive things to say about Hertz used car sales in Irving and our experience with Elvis and would buy another car from them without any concern.

I will never get the lost time back in choosing this location. I made a purchase and it was horrible. Several issues with the car so I returned it for another vehicle. This was another poor choice. The second vehicle had cat hair all over, service lights came on and it made a grinding sound under the chassis. I returned it immediately. PLEASE dont get me started with the very poor customer service.I was under the assumption they were professional because of the Hertz brand but that is a lie.The 1 star I gave was due to the fact that they did not fuss with me when I returned the vehicles. Inquired about a car listed on their site, emailed twice and received confirmation that I would be able to go look at the car. Got dressed and drove across town only to find out the car was, Out for a week long personal demo by our area-manager, Meaning my boss wants the car, doesnt wanna pay for it, and instead of selling it to someone with cash on hand like an actual business, theyd rather let their boss joy ride around town. I helped my son to buy a car from Hertz in Irving. The car is great and the price was right, but hes been unable to obtain his license plates and title. Ill freely admit that my son was initially at fault as he moved after the purchase and didnt promptly notify Hertz or FedEx of his new address. However, weve been dealing with the Irving dealership for the last week and, despite promises of immediate action, no results to date, and Ive not been able to get phone calls returned or emails (sent last week) answered. Im posting this at 4:45PM on 09/02/14. Any updates or information of any kind from Hertz Irving is VERY appreciated.

Elvis ( the sales guy ) was helpful.Everything went smoothly without extra credit checks or other nonsense.The only bad thing I can say is that they try to offer you some non needed extras, like warranties and gap coverages. They lay it out in a monthly cost instead of total cost. So watch out for that part. I told them I wasnt interested in any of it, and they proceded without delay.

We found this Hertz about three months into our car search. Like most people from Baton Rouge, we were looking out of state for a car. After a couple of terrible experiences at Toyota dealerships in Houston, were tired of spending our weekends on the I-10. The staff at Hertz was everything the staff at the other dealerships werent: friendly, respectful, pressure-free, HONEST. There were no imaginary cars or mystery fees, just a great transaction and our new car.The guys are working there are pros and not the kind adept at tricking people out their money. Should the opportunity arise I would definitely do business with them again.

Horrible business.They rented a car out to me for a couple of days and put a hold on my credit for about $250. They said the rental charges will be waived if I purchased the vehicle.When I went back to purchase the vehicle, the car could not be sold as it could not pass state inspection. They sent the car to a mechanic to fix it which took a few days. Even though the car was with the mechanic, I was still being charged the rental days. The hold on my credit card went from $250 to about $1,200 during that period of time.Car was fixed and they were finally able to sell it to me. They said it will take another 10 business days for them to process the sale and remove the hold.All of these problems could have been avoided if these people would have inspected the car to make sure everything was mechanically okay before they rented the car out.

We found the car we wanted to buy online. We send an email inquiry about the car to confirm it was still available and mentioned we would be there today to buy it. We went to the bank and got the cash in hand. We drove 40 miles to Irving. We arrived to be told the regional manager is on vacation and he is driving that car as a demo. I dont know when he will be back. DONT YOU THINK THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN GOOD INFORMATION TO RELAY IN THE EMAIL WE SENT BEFORE WE DROVE THERE? YEAH, ME TOO! PURCHASE OR RENT FROM ANY OTHER RENTAL CAR PLACE IN THE AREA PLEASE I WARN YOU!!!!!!!!!I dont even know where to Begin. Daniel at this location was the BIGGEST pain to deal with, the entire experience was FRUSTRATING and EXPENSIVE.First they wouldnt let my husband pick up the vehicle because he had a temporary paper license and although thats issued by the state Daniel pulled his chip on the shoulder card and used his tiny bit of authority he has in the world to make our lives difficult and deny him the ability to pick up the rental, and lets just say he was very very unkind and unprofessional about it.This was the weekend of thanksgiving and there was not another option around for a rental car, we had this reservation made months in advance. So I had to FLY into Dallas the NEXT DAY just to pick up the rental car and now be on the trip with my husband so he wasnt spending hundreds of dollars Ubering as Daniel so sarcastically suggested he do If it were me I would just UBER or get a taxi is what he suggested when my husband asked what he should do. Wondering how much an UBER from Dallas to Austin cost.... hmmm..Now fast forward to the next day I am landing in Dallas and need to pick this car up to get to my husband ASAP who was in town for a wedding that Saturday, I RUSH to the Hertz as they were closing early for holiday weekend hours, is my best guess, and as I was landing at the airport I would have about 10 minutes to make it there before they close (I Will give them credit for staying open 10-15 minutes past what the rental side was to stay open that day and thought to myself thats nice they also must feel bad about being jerks yesterday and want to make it up to us etc..)So I get there and trying to rush and they ask me if I need the insurance. I call my husband and ask if we need it and he lets me know that we DO NOT because our insurance provider covers us in rentals. I let Daniel know that I DO NOT need the additional insurance he the proceeds to say okay I know you are in a hurry let me quickly tell you about this OTHER coverage, its separate from the insurance and wont be covered by your insurance, its about $15 and covers if you, for instance, are on I-35 and a rock flys up and hits your windshield so you dont have to cover the damages which can be $1,000 I say okay so its $15? and he says yes.COME TO FIND OUT this is $15 A DAY!!! and he never took the time to A.) explain this or B.) consider that I told him I already have insurance and obviously I do not want to pay extra money for stuff.I work in sales during the day and this was a VERY POOR approach and he KNEW that I DID NOT understand and anyone listening in on the conversation would be able to tell you that by me saying okay so its just $15? that I OBVIOUSLY thought it was only $15.. not $15/day.....I TRULY feel that this individual Daniel was out to get us as he and my husband had a VERY poor experience the day before I came in, due to the legal documentation. A tad bit of IRONY The state I.D. had come in the mail the day I was leaving so I brought that with me to make sure they saw in person my husbands LEGAL state Identification. They DID NOT have to be as difficult as they were, he OBVIOUSLY had a complex and I am not sure why he felt he needed to flex his small amount of authority. If I were Hertz I would get rid of this individual ASAP because I had dealt with another HERTZ location and people there are more than helpful, above and beyond really. THIS GUY IS A PROFESSIONAL SCAMMER NOT A SALESMAN
