Cory was professional, extremely helpful, and knowledgeable. He went out of his way to make sure that my questions were answered. He also helped me tune my guitar, provided me information that allowed me to make the right purchase at the best price around in town.He was so awesome that I wanted to give him a tip. He wouldnt accept it. He thanked me for coming in and asked me if there is anything else he could help me with. The guy is amazing.Thank you Cory!

Said thank you for coming in.Sure its easy to give 5 stars when I had good service and didnt spend any money. Im rating his service and friendliness. They have 2 keyboard demo rooms set up. One for home/student gear and one for pro/stage level stuff. Nice variety of pianos & controllers from Yamaha, Roland, Korg, even some Kawai and the better lines from Casio. Only place in town where you can see & play them side by side. Great people, competitive pricing.

Good place to go try out gear, but much better to buy from Musicians Friend. Guitar Center doesnt have much in stock so you end up having to order it most of the time anyway, and with Musicians Friend, you get rewards points and they always give you a 10-15% discount. GC are sticklers about the discount, and its the same company as MF.

I have been to countless guitar centers over the years and while many are special, this location is by far the coolest for a number of reasons. Aside from being a decent sized and well stocked and managed store, a lot of the salespeople there are actually touring musicians who had to lock in a steady paycheck when covid hit. One such person is Kynwyn in drums who is super talented and knowledgeable and aside from gear advice also helped me with a music theory question. Teo in pro audio also spent a lot of time helping me find the right recording equipment for my studio and I locked in a big discount for black Friday. 10 out of 5 stars. Im definitely going back.

Stopped by during the pandemic to pick up a ukulele to play for my son in the evenings. The staff was attentive, helpful, and not pushy. The selection was great (at least a half-dozen to play and chose from-- the best way to buy an instrument). Found an adorable uke with real mahogany, a great sound, and classic looks. This wasnt my first time shopping here, but it was my first time stopping by during the pandemic. Im happy to report they are open and its more or less businesses as usual. 🎶

Really frustrating when you drop off your guitar and the parts aren’t going to be in for a month (that I get) then they call you to tell you you should come get your guitar so you can play it and they give it back to you like this… (that I don’t get)my son who’s 17 and saved his own money to buy the guitar was sent home with it like this.I’ll say this. He said to whoever gave it to him he was “okay” with it. He’s 17 and didn’t want to seem to be a pain. This should never have been okayed for return to the customer like this.It was complete and in working order when we dropped it off. They were to install pickup covers. They were on back order. They called to say come get it as it will be a month or more till we get the parts. The pickups were not installed the bridge was not installed and the strings were off of it.Now my son is trying to re assemble the guitar they disassembled. Will not be returning to guitar center. Really sad to see their customer service is this bad. There were years it was a good shop. We can no longer support it when I’ve had multiple issues like this. Really upsetting to get his 2000$ guitar back in pieces.

My son and I stopped in here to have his electric guitar restrung so he could start learning to play. They charge only $20 to restring the guitar and that includes strings! The guy that does the servicing of guitars is well educated! He was cheerful and talkative. He had the guitar done in 2 hours (there were several people ahead of us). The other music stores I called wanted the guitar for several days and charging anywhere from $20-$46 without strings included. 😬If you have any guitar needs, I would definitely check this Guitar Center out! When I went back to pick up the guitar, the other guys in the front were very friendly, got the guitar from the back quickly and charged us $20 as qouated. I was extremely happy with everything and highly recommend this store and its employees.

Swing by here to attempt to pick up reeds for a sax. Unfortunately they didnt have individual reeds of the type for which I was looking. However, I was greeted at the door when I walked in, and they immediately walked me over to where the reeds are. They knew what options they had to offer without having to dig through the display, and apologized for not having what I wanted. I cant blame them for that, as stores that specialize in woodwind instruments dont even have what I was seeking.

Service varies. I’ve purchased a couple things there. However been told to wait a minute in the middle of someone helping us and then they never return or someone else is sent to finish it up. Not sure about the lady posting that it was $20 to get the guitar restrung which is usually a minimum of six strings, I just called for a three string request and was quoted $30. My opinion, go to The smaller, non-cookie box stores, that have some consistency and support local owned and non/profit music companies. 12 fret prices on Belmont were far less and reputable with so many in the area for luthier and other services.

Just bought a nice Taylor 12 string. The young gal that helped me, Chandra, was great! She was more interested in getting me the right instrument than in the commission and I really appreciated that. Good selection, lots 2 choose from. Ran into a pro, that was there looking at instruments. My only complaint, is they need one or two more private places to play and try out the instrument here thinking about buying. There was a guy in the room that I was in that obviously wasnt there to buy just to Noodle around and it made it tough for me to really hear the instruments. If youre in the market for a guitar you owe it to yourself to check these guys out.

Over all the staff was nice. The store wasnt a mess or anything. The issue I found wws, whilst checking out the bass guitars. I saw my nuclear green Dean. Priced at $199.99. Okay thats the price, guitar looked good. A few basses next to it is a jacked up version. It had massive body and neck damage. Had to be thrown or something. But they were charging an extra $7.00 for the beyond damaged bass. One of the guys asked me if I needed help as I was taking pictures. I showed him, he kinda scoffed, tried to act surprised, then said the bass @ 199 was the wrong price and should be $229.00. they are dropping 20 bucks for a bass that I trashed and not in a cool way.

So, I bought a guitar at a ma/pop shop and a guitar from this Guitar Center. Both guitars in the same price range. At the ma/pop shop: They could tell I was interested in the guitar...they offered me $50 off the price (I didn’t ask for a discount) as well as a complimentary fresh set up (new strings, fretboard conditioning, etc). The guitar didn’t come with a gig bag, but they threw one in for free as well. Super nice and pleasant throughout the whole process. Now to this Guitar Center. On GC’s used website, they had this model, same condition, for less than what this location listed it for, so I asked them if they’d match their own used price from another location ($30 off...on a $700 guitar) and they said no. They wouldn’t reduce price on a used guitar until it’d been sitting in the store for 12 weeks. The guy checked the date they brought it in, and it’d been 10 weeks. So he said, “Ya, you’d have to wait two more weeks” ....over $30. This particular guitar was special, so, I swallowed it and decided to buy it anyways. I asked them for fresh stings...and there was some plastic stuck under the tone knob so I asked if they could take care of that. Three days later when I went to pick it up, they did not put new strings on it, nor did they take care of the plastic under the tone knob. And, they tried to charge me for a gig bag (when it said gig bag included). When I mentioned the strings, the burn-out employee mumbled “oh they put some on it a while ago”...Ya, probably 10 weeks ago when it came in...? At the ma/pop, I felt appreciated and they went the extra mile to make a sale. Guitar Center still carries quality instruments, but don’t expect a thing from their customer service. Too bad, really.
