Small business but huge variety to choose from. Short handed on employees however worked as efficiently as possible. Two days before Halloween was a long line and an hour wait. I brought my patience and before you knew it my turn and out the door. My only minor complaint... a scented dryer sheet was used when laundering the costume. I would have asked for unscented if I had known. I will definitely be a return customer. 😊

The staff and selection are great here but Im only giving 3 stars because of the huge selection of Indigenous costumes. Its been pretty well documented that presenting Native American garb as costumes is offensive to Indigenous folks. Would love to see them remove that section.

Awful service for pick ups. AWFUL. I understand being busy Halloween weekend and we were willing to wait but not over an hour when we already went in a week early to reserve costume piece and went through process. Have a separate line for pick ups! Wanted to support a local business but unfortunately am not pleased.

They have lots of cool costumes much better quality than the big Halloween stores.

My husband loved his costume. It was authentic and handmade which set him apart from others with store bought costumes. 10/10 I would recommend and will rent from here again. It took so long to make his cape I was grateful he found this costume to wear.

I came here to pickup face paints and was very impressed with their selection. The staff was helpful in guiding me through what I should consider buying and also sharing with me the process of applying makeup to yield best results.I quickly browsed their custom selection and thought there was great high quality options for rental and also cheaper options to buy if you want a one time use for a party.

Love the place! A wonderful selection of outfits and costumes from many eras and genres. The staff is very helpful and informative. You can almost get lost in there just trying to find the right outfit.If I were to offer a critique, is that some of the outfits need an update or to be replaced from the wear and tear. Also some of the prop selection could receive the same level craft as the outfits (some are standard toy props).

If youre looking for something unique, this is the place. Dont expect it to be junk package-store cheap, but you will have an awesome costume and no regrets. Rent or buy just about anything you need. Makeup too, lots of selection. Too many accessories to list. Open year-round is nice. Ill be back at least once a year!

UPDATE: In response to the reply from the owner regarding my review! Let me cover the specifics from my phone conversation since you are misrepresenting what was said on the phone.1. Yes I was told that this company has 15k costumes. Now its again been told to me in writing. Congrats!2. The conversation on the phone regarding the 15k was to let me know that there is no way she would ever put pictures up of the costumes because she has 15k costumes and that would take years. I just sat there silently and let her ramble on and on. I didnt even ask why no pics, she cut me off assuming I was headed down that path.3. No mention of any FY19 project to improve the site. Only that she was busy and the site is no help and never will be since it would take so long to add pictures. Again didnt care really just wanted to ask other questions but again I was completely derailed by this subject matter.If you think organizing a few words as a reply to my review will somehow discredit my complaint you are mistaken. My reviews are honest and as I say always based on my own experience. Feel free to check my average review. It is not my policy to give poor reviews but it is my responsibility to be helpful and honest.In my opinion just be nice, like the young man who called me back after they read my review. I believe his name was Brian. Give him a raise and let him do the customer service. He answered easily the few questions I had and we went about our day. Its okay. Big selection and being able to rent is nice and most of the staff is okay. One of the employees was being rude to another employee and he was kind of nasty to customers too. An amazing gem of northwest Oregon. My wife and I costume often and the Costume Avenue team takes care of our needs. If they dont have it, they can order it, source it, or give advice while you are making it. Ive learned more from frequenting their shop then any book on the subject and Im well read on that subject. Costume Avenue has vendor space at many industry conventions to keep up with the latest trends in character development in film, television and various media.

Pretty cool store. I just wish there was more options for buying costumes instead of renting them. And they didnt really have an organized section to split the two. They told me some were on sale. But they werent marked specifically.

Helped me find exactly the cosmetic product that I needed and its accompanying remover. They had a huge range of options. Very aware of their stock and very professional, good customer service. Went and checked out the product later--it is cheaper in this store than it is online, anywhere! So I guess they will be seeing me again!

I came looking for a halloween costume that I know no none else would have. They have a huge selection of costumes from all genres that you can rent. They have plenty of accessories and shoes. The customer service was awesome. I think I was being helped by the owner who was so helpful in helping me pick out a costume. They have traditional, fun, sexy, you. They are used so be sure to notice any wear and tear before renting. The prices are decent, could be a little lower, but decent considering I dont have to buy a new costume. I recommend this place to anyone looking for an authentic and original costume :-)

This is the place to go to rent higher quality costumes similar to theater quality wear. Or pick-up higher quality props that arent all plastic. Costumes are well organized.

Does not allow for returns on costumes, quite cluttered and absolutely never answers their phones. I tried calling some 12 times at different times over the course of a few days and never once did they pick up.

This is our go-to place to rent costumes every Halloween they have everything you can imagine and theyll work with you to put together special costumes if thats what youre needing. The staff is knowledgeable and quick to help and the prices are fair.

The costume shop here has been a staple in Beaverton for as long as I can remember. When I was looking for a Stormtrooper helmet, they did their best to help me at an affordable price. They also dont charge rental fees for days they arent open, now that is a fair deal. Will be coming back for other costume needs.

The store is very cramped and their service was a little ornery my first visit in, but everytime I go back I get glowing service now. Ive both bought accessories and rented their costumes and I love it.Their costumes are quality and comfortable. They do run a little high for rental imo but its partially because costumes in any off season are expensive.You can even leave the cleaning to them. They charge a VERY small cleaning fee and it takes care of everything.

Ok for rentals, but dont buy anything. Another customer had travelled 30 miles to exchangen a small item that didnt work. Clerk told her he didnt have the authority to do an exchange and that besides it was too old. We should have taken a clue from that but bought a couple of items $45 in total that we never used - owner refused to give us take them back for either cash or a credit them without my wife noticing kept 2 of the items.FIND ANOTHER COSTUME PLACE, WE CANT IMAGINE THEY ARE STILL IN BUSINESS THE WAY THEY TREAT CUSTOMER!

Costumes were very pricey and then they added a cleaning fee. I also had a difficult time contacting the store. I left messages to pick up a costume early and didnt hear back. When I finally got through they said that they were too busy to pick up messages and my costume was not ready. That wasted about two hours in driving time. I wont be back.
