I have been going to Nova Vision for 3 years now. Everyone I come in to contact with is so nice and caring. I have visited with all of the eye doctors at some point and they are all very thorough and knowledgeable. Dr. White and Dr. Jacob are amazing and really care about their patients. My whole family uses Nova Vision. We love them!

Excellent staff and doctors. And they use the latest advanced equipment, so I didnt even need full dilation or the annoying puff of air pressure check. Would highly recommend!

The staff was friendly and helpful. They take their time with you and explain procedures with you. And also my daughter who is extremely hesitant when it comes to procedures, they let her come in with me to see how things are done to ease her mind.

I rarely ever give one star reviews but, unfortunately this situation warrants it. I just recently moved to the area and was looking at which eye doctor had the best reviews, so naturally I made an appointment with Nova Vision Care. It took me over a month and a half to get in for a simple eye exam. I moved past that, because it sometimes takes a while to get new patients in. I finally have my eye appointment and they recommended Neuro Lenses to me (and every other patient in the office.) They claimed it would eliminate my headaches and would be a better alternative for me. Only to find out that they cost anywhere between $600 and $800 dollars out of pocket and are not covered by insurance. So I had to then request a different prescription for my glasses. I was hoping to get progressive lenses (no line bifocals) but they refused to write my prescription for those, rather I had to go with the Neuro lenses or a lined bifocal and those were my only two options. I moved on and said whatever. I left the office and they told me it would be two weeks to receive my glasses. Flash forward 6 entire weeks... and still no glasses. Only to call for the 7,000th time and to hear they failed inspection 10+ times and the lab was having their best technician work on them. It came to week 8 of still no glasses when I finally got them. They told us they would call us the next day to talk about compensation for this ridiculous hassle with their labs... its been another 2 weeks and have still not gotten that phone call regarding compensation. On top of that my glasses are still incorrect. So I have to go back to them to see if they can fix them, or Im out $200 dollars and still dont have glasses. So would I recommend? NO No no… find a better eye doctor, there are a million in the Dayton area and make sure they dont use whatever lab this place uses, because they are equally as bad. Alright rant over, but please heed my warning... this is not a high quality eye doctor office. Needless to say I will no longer be a patient.

Dr. Montecalvo is amazing. She gave my daughter her sight back. No problem is too big or too small for her to tackle. She always has a solution. Appreciate her an her staff so very much.

Ive had a lot of help from this office, and I like my doctor. But, they canceled my appointment and my daughters appointment with no explanation, they tried to find out why they canceled the appointment and they had no notes listed as to why. I have a strict calendar that I have to keep and getting something like an eye appointment is very difficult. I cant constantly wonder if my doctor is going to cancel my appointment without my knowledge. Getting into this office is harder than its ever been, because in spite of vaccinated people being able to live their lives again that isnt the case in this office. They still schedule everyone far apart and require masks inside the office. If not for that, rescheduling after they made a mistake with our schedule would have been easier, but now I have to schedule more than a month out to make up for their mistake. Im looking for a new optometrist now.EDIT: they reached out and got me back on their calendar within the week.

My daughter was referred for vision therapy after a TBI. The doctor found no issues with her eyesight, but referred her for light therapy in their office. The person who administered the first session failed to give instructions and practically blinded my daughter because she was too busy sharing car accident horror stories. The therapy made all symptoms worse, and after doing extensive research we found that the wrong colors and times were used for a therapy that isn’t even proven to help anything. This office took advantage of our family by doing excessive testing, recommending a total sham of a therapy, and by selling us “therapy lens” that are just plain trivex lenses with AR coating. The referring doctor said other patients were never given these therapies or taken advantage of like this and recommended we stop immediately. We are months deep in a long recovery for my daughter and this unethical “doctor” bilked us. Stay away for the safety of your family

Technical examinations superb,👀however lack in customer service attention. Need to organize the process so the client is not left unattended. Communication is important to be communicated very well.

Dr Jacobs and her staff were outstanding. Fast efficient. Optical was a different story. I wanted new lenses only and person said my glasses needed to be sent out for 3 weeks. I asked how can I drive without them? I finally said ok I don’t want new lenses. Person finally figured something out so should be ok. Then person repaired screw in other glasses. The lense fell out screw broken in two days. Meaning I have to come back to get fixed. Overall still very happy but optical stuff was a bit off.

From check in to check out, everyone is professional and courteous! The whole team went above and beyond to make my kids (8 and 10) feel at ease. We even got a science lesson from Dr White about what all the numbers mean.

When I mad my appointment I asked if my insurance was in network. The receptionist said it was so I booked the appointment. I waited 4 months as they were booked out. Arrived to my appointment and was made to wait 30minutes and the receptionist said my insurance was not in network. She asked if I wanted to just pay. No I Have insurance. Why lie or not check before when I asked when I booked the appointment ! Receptionist was not empathetic at all. So frustrating now I have to wait again to be seen else where and deal with migraines. Definitely not okay!

Dr. White has been seeing me for over 10 years, and she is the absolute best. She and her team take the time to talk to me and answer my questions. Her care is personable, and you can tell she loves what she does. I am so grateful for her care and determination. Thank you, Dr. White, for taking care of my eye health.

Just got a pair of glasses from Dr. Montecalvo & I have to say the whole experience from start to finish was beyond my expectations.. I can see perfectly now, & that matters a lot to me because all I do for a living is drive 500 miles a night on interstates..Everyone that works at nova vision was extremely nice & professional, and I absolutely want to go back there again for my next pair of glasses.

The entire staff is friendly and welcoming. My doctor took time to answer all my questions and made sure I had an understanding of my diagnosis. If you are in need of purchasing glasses frames or lenses this is the place to go. They do a great job with children as well! I’d recommend this place to anyone!

Ok, all of the staff were extremely nice and professional. The exam was through and the results were explained to my satisfaction. However I was a little concerned about the prices of eye wear. I realize that vision insurance compensates the buyer but I am a military retiree on a fixed income who cant afford vision insurance. Therefore, I can buy a lot of groceries and a weapon to keep them safe. Eye wear should not cost $500.

Im near-sighted, and the glasses I got from another optical place were fine for driving but didnt work for things around the house, such as computer work or anything at about arms length away. My step daughter, who works at Nova and likes it there (disclaimer), suggested I give Nova a try. I learned about computer glasses, and I had them make a pair for me. Honestly, I was a little skeptical about whether they would actually work, but I tried them and I love them - good focus and clarity and proper placement of the bifocal line. Nova has a really nice office, and everyone is very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. Well worth the drive across town.

Everyone was so friendly and helpful. I felt bad because my mask kept fogging up the machine, but they were very patient and kind and my doctor even helped me with my mask. I feel awful I don’t remember her name. She was very nice and knowledgeable. I’ve had bad eyes for years and she told me more about my eyes than I had ever known. Everywhere else I have been they just have me go the tests, put in my orders, and send me on my way. It was very refreshing having someone sit down and explain everything to me including how my own eyes work haha. I will never go anywhere else and will be bringing my husband here and then my kids should they ever need glasses. This place is amazing!

Ive had trouble getting glasses I could read with. This has been going on for years. Nova Vision Care finally put a prism in my prescription. Now l can read.

My wife and I made first-time appointments with Nova Vision Care a few weeks ago. Our experience was wonderful from start to finish. First, they had openings within a couple of weeks of calling which was a pleasant surprise. When we showed up for our appointments, we were both seen within a few minutes of our scheduled times. After the initial screening, we were immediately seen by the optometrist (Dr. Fisher). My wife was seen first and they actually brought me into the same room and I was seen while they were waiting for my wifes eyes to dialate after putting the drops in. Dr. Fisher and the staff were very friendly and answered every question. We ordered glasses on a Monday and they came in by that Friday. Yesterday, we received a letter in the mail and it was a handwritten thank you note from Dr. Fisher and Nova Vision Care thanking us as well as seeing if there was anything else that we needed until our next exam. Overall, our experience was great and cant say enough about how nice and friendly the staff was. Highly recommended!

The exam equipment looks to be state of the art and is explained to you every step of the way. Then if you need glasses, professional opticians are right there with a wide selection of frames and fashions. They take their time and help you make a good choice. The staff was friendly. Online process for gathering patient information was well thought and efficient. The staff explained all the tests performed during the eye exam. The instruments were latest and well maintained. The Doctor provided great advise on eye health. Overall great service. Just one thing, frame selection is limited.

The facilty is tucked away in a cul-de-sac on Indian Ripple. Id make my appointment before rush hour. When I called to make an appointment the assistant was friendly and informative. She was able to verify my insurance over the phone and quickly made my appointment.Days later I started receiving random text from them about my appointment. Normally, Id get messages a day or two before. This was a week or so before.The are definitely practicing social dustsnxe and require a mask and run a checklist for Coronavirus. They do not take your temperature.They report that they sanitize every room after every client and make clients wash their hands ✋. This is good. However, i was still a little nervous because they do touch your eyes with bare hands in addition to the numerous instruments they put on your eyes. Just to warn those who may not be ready for this type of experience. I did feel reassured about the safety of the procedures.My favorite interaction was with the assistant who sold me the glasses. She was friendly and engaging. I guess you have to be when you have to tell the client about the various co-pays they have to pay that drive the price of the glasses through the roof.Overall, it was a good and quick visit very streamlined.

We had a good experience until we were recommended for vision therapy. The lady Holly Harlow was horrible to deal with. She could not answer any questions and LIED to us several times. I was also told 3 different times they would be testing for something I requested and then after Nova getting 1500$ worth of visits, tests, and glasses I found out my son was not tested for what we requested. Holly told us that no one was qualified at the facility to do that test. WHY DID YOUR OTHER STAFF SAY YOU ARE? THREE TIMES? She then said she would get to the bottom of what happened and would call me back the next day to follow up. NEVER CALLED. I am so disappointed and we will not be doing the vision therapy now because I dont trust them that we even need it. Holly told me she called my insurance herself and they told her if we paid Nova 5000$ for therapy the insurance will give the money back to us. When I called the insurance they said they never said that and it is not covered at all. I will be getting a second opinion of everything.

Dr. Rachael White was very knowledgeable in a variety of eye problems and listened to my concerns and experiences with my eye problems. She gave me a thorough exam and advice I will take for future eye care.Also there was no waiting my appointment was honored almost immediately on my check in. John

Never going back here again.Beware of refund policy.I could not see well with my new glasses. A repeateye exam done by one of the new doctors Was found to be inconsistent with Dr Monticalvo’s exam, done earlier in the year. The Staff and doctor decided to have the lenses done correctly. The Optician said no because they have a policy of 3 months on returns.I tried to resolve the issue but I kept getting put off and My calls were never returned.It took 4 in person visits to get a refund. The only way I got a refund was to contact the Ohio Attorney General’s WebAnd found that Ohio has a revised code 1345.03 stating that if they do not have a refund policy conspicuously placed intheir office that the refund is given to the client. I got my refund.They have very poor Patient PR and It seems the only way You can get them to listen to you is to show up in person.

He also was an amazing listener, which was refreshing and helpful, to say the least. I would recommend this practice to anyone seeking low-vision optometry services.

Already two visits and both experience exceeded expectation. Eye Exam started as scheduled, polite staff, new up to date equipment, and so on. Their selection of glasses are wide and modern - just think that there prices are a bit high though. Overall highly receommded.

Had an eye exam for the first time in 20 years. Apparently a lot has changed in the time! I was amazed at all the tests they performed to critically assess the health of your eyes. Dr Gilbert was helpful in addressing my eye health. He provided information and mentioned useful products without being pushy. Fortunately, I have good eye health but I would definitely return to Nova if I had any issues. I will likely return to Nova for check-ups....maybe more often then once in 20 years....

I visited Nova Vision Care for a second opinion. I was impressed with the office layout, the attentiveness of the optical assistants, and especially, the way Dr. White handled the testing of my eyes. She conducted four additional tests on my eyes and took her time evaluating the situation. Sure enough, my prescription from the other office was too strong! I was so relieved. They offered to help me get my new glasses lenses made if the other office would not help. Thankfully, they did. I am still very grateful to Nova Vision Care for taking my case and helping me. They have won a new client! I look forward to having my eyes cared for by Nova Vision Care in the future.

Horrible business. Never returned calls when u have a issue or have questions about refunds. Told many lies to get you to purchase a package. Not a good place.

The most comprehensive eye exam I have ever had. I loved the friendly staff, no wait time, and frame selection. They offer alot of different lens options, the one I choose was a blue light reducer one that will help my eyes when looks at a computer all day. I would definitely recommend going to this practice for all your eye needs. Wonderful!

Excellent patient centered careful treatment.frindly courteous and prompt focused attention for Pamala Genson. (Severe ischemic Stroessner Aron day the base of her brain. Among other symptom she has problems with eye alignment, tracking and limited field of vision. Head position and rage of neck/head movement. She is very severely invovolved and as a result limited functionality. She is waiting for new reading glasses now hoping to restore the ability to enjoy her passion for reading which she has been unable to do for 13+ months now. We are greatful

I called and talked to a nice lady on the phone and explained to her i work full time dont health/eye insurance and was having minor eye irritation. I asked her if she could give me a ballpark on price and she said that wasnt possible not knowing the exact cause which i understand! The Doctor proceded to check my eyes with dye pretty typical and then she dumped a saline eye wash in i knew exactly what she was doing trying to charge me for a procedure that i could have done at home for free but $105 for that??? it took 10 minutes!! On top of that she proceded to take the over counter eye drops she said i needed off there shelves and told me you will need these INSTEAD of saying these are available if you would like sir...Not the first time i felt like i got Hustled by a Doctor Unfortunately...

I have been going to Nova for about 3 or 4 years and have been extremely happy. I have seen Dr. Montecalvo and Dr. White and been very pleased with both. I have always felt that they are very thorough and that they educated me on my options and then let me choose what I feel is the best route.The office is convenient to get to (being right off 675) and the wait times have always been reasonable. Okay...if I had one suggestion, it would be to replace the lobby chairs. :)
