My initial impression of C&S was of an up and coming establishment that looked promising. After agreeing upon a price and placing a small down payment with receipt, it quickly became apparent how poorly I misjudged them. They said there car still needed some work, which I told them was fine.On two separate occasions they set up times for me to pickup the car and after driving more than an hour both times, no one answered the phone and the garage was closed. They live next door and said they would be available at the time they gave me. I also ran into a couple other customers that had similar stories, while waiting there. After a morning and afternoon phone call was ignored for two days, they told me for a 3rd time to pickup the car. Before that, I found they had reposted the car at a higher price, which I informed them of discovering and after having setup appointments on two separate occasions and no one following through, they had backed out of the deal and I would be by to pickup my deposit. They tried to twist the situation around, which didnt make sense as they said it and said if I didnt want it, I lost my deposit. Unfortunate situation that I hope others will avoid! Go to a reputable dealer.
If there was a lower rating than a 1 star, I would give it to this business. This place is awful. Placed down a security deposit on a Tuesday and was told that I could pick up the car the next day(Wednesday) after an enhanced inspection was completed, as it had a salvage title. We were asked the next day, Wednesday, if it was possible for us to wait another day, as the car was not completed, and we agreed upon that. On that Thursday, multiple phone calls were made to the theee different numbers that we were given to get ahold of this shop, and there was no answer. The car was advertised with no issues at all and said it was ready to go on the ad. After placing the deposit, the car was uploaded once again to Craigslist advertising the car as still for sale.
LOW LIFE SCAMMERS!!!!!! If there was 0 stars id give that!! They purchase vehicles from scrap yard and advertize them as rebuilt cars and they are actually salvage cars that they DONT fix and mark up. They make you get the enhanced inspection yourself. Once you purchase they dont answer. They promised a part for the car that went bad but you cant get ahold of them to get it. Not like it matters now. Purched a $1,000 car on a salvage certificate was PROMISED it would pass with flying colors but instead and it needs $3,000 to pass. We told were better of scrapping it. They said it was basically 2 cars patched together. They sale on craigslist as a private seller. In Beaver Fallls PA. So please go elsewhere if you end up there. They will take your money and run!
We had seen an ad on Craigslist for a couple cars that were listed with this company. We had set up a time to go and look at the vehicles. We arrived at the shop and there was no one available. We waited for a while, all the while trying to contact the owner. After 20 minutes of waiting one of the owners came to the lot and asked what cars we wanted to see. My husband had been there the week prior to look at the one car. The cars advertised are Salvage titles. My husband was told that the car would be finished by the time we went to look at it.Both cars that were advertised made no mention that there was still several things that needed fixed prior to being able to purchase the car. The car was being purchased for our son. He liked one and we had asked if the car could be repaired? They asked for a deposit and we told them that we would not put money down before the car was fixed. Due to the car being a salvage title, it has to go through an enhanced inspection. We were called the next day that the repairs had been made. We arrived to look at the car and most of the repairs were completed. We agreed to give a deposit on the car and were to pick it up the next day. We gave a down payment for the car. The next day, I was called and asked if we could wait one more day for the car. The following day, I made several attempts to contact them. There was no answer. On the day after that, I was contacted and asked if we wanted to pick up the car. We were supposed to pick it up 2 days prior. I stated that they did not abide by the contract and we were asking for our money back since the car was not available when promised. I contacted the company that was completing the Enhanced Inspection and was told that the car did not pass. There is a sign in their office that deposits were non refundable however, we asked because the car was not available. Had the car been available when promised, we would have picked it up.It was found out that 2 other people had put a deposit down on the same vehicle that we were trying to buy. The owners have not responded to texts or phone calls since we asked for money back. I have contacted the police and was told that they do is as common practice and the police have received several calls regarding this same scenario. I am planning on filing a complaint with the Attorney general and also a civil complaint. They do not even deserve 1 star but I have to give a rating.
Good people great deals
