Ive visited this location of Longhorn Liquor a few times, as well as many of their other locations. This store in particular is really great, with a really big selection (better than the nearby Specs). The staff I have interacted with have all been very friendly and helpful and I would recommend this store to anyone. I would also recommend any of the other Longhorn Liquor stores in the area, as all of the ones I have visited were excellent as well. Ive met the owner too and will say he does a great job catering to all sorts of preferences, constantly looking to get in new and interesting products. I appreciate his drive for the business and willingness to always learn more about what he can offer his customers.

I went in to the Beaumont store recently, as I regularly do. Was greeted by a friendly smile as always. I noticed some older guy walking around with pen and paper. He walked to the register and began complaining about prices, saying he could get one bottle for cheaper at specs. He was very rude to the staff. The owner, Mike, happened to be in the store and stepped in to speak to the man. I couldn’t hear everything said, didn’t want to be too nosy, but it sounded like this isn’t the first or second time this guy has done this. The guy was very loud and rude, and started telling mike how to run his store. Mike looked like he was trying to remain calm, but eventually told the guy he could take a bottle for free if he promised to never come back. This seemed to make the guy even more upset, and he kept arguing with the owner. Another employee walked up to me and apologized, said they’d been dealing with this guy for months now, and he always does the same thing. I told him no worries, and then he helped me pick out a nice Pinot Grigio to go with the dinner I had planned on cooking, as well as helped me find a nice store-picked bourbon that has exceeded my expectations (at a very reasonable price). I have found their prices are always very competitive, and they also offer a level of customer service than can’t be found at other stores. I’ll continue shopping here, even if a bottle of Pikesville rye is 80 cents higher than at specs.

The Longhorn chain in general, and especially this store is as well run as they come. You are always greated when you walk in, and the staff wont hesitate to drop everything to help you with your selection. They have one of the largest selections in the area, but if there is a unique item that you are looking for and they dont have in store, they will always do their best to order it for you. This store also has a great feel to it. Always clean, wide aisles, and stocked in a way that makes it easy to find what you are looking for.

Visited this store yesterday and after grabbing all of my favorite whiskey bottles at reasonable prices this crybaby customer was complaining about how the prices were slightly too high compared to specs.Clearly this ignorant self entitled customer had no clue how pricing works.He was belligerently debating this with the owner who you could Clearly tell was being so patient to this guest who had no clue what he was talking about. So the owner actually offered to give him the bottle for free instead of arguing with him.The guys still whined about pricing not understanding that the big box stores get better pricing than the small stores.Long story short the guy started crying, literally on the floor and the owner doubled down on his offer and gave him an actual milk bottle along with his Willett pot still and the guy left abruptly because his diaper was full.Great store. Would totally recommend to everyone.My only criticism is the store should carry more diapers. The customer clearly needed them and had to go elsewhere. Missed opportunity.

Longhorn Liquor has a great selection and friendly staff! I have visited this location many times and always leave feeling valued as a customer. The stores are always clean and well organized. The knowledgable staff has helped find specific products and provide recommendations when needed. Although I dont live in Beaumont anymore, glad to have another Longhorn location nearby.

Best selection and availability of liquors and cigars around. My favorite part of going to Beaumont is stopping in at Longhorn. The staff love what they do the and can always put you on something youll enjoy. I always leave with a good whiskey and my wife loves their vodka selection. Check them out, its a much better experience than the big box stores and their private barrel selections are always delicious.

Longhorn is the premier liquor store in Texas. At first I was only going there to pick up hard to find bottles of bourbon, but Longhorn also has a fantastic selection of wine and cigars. The store is always clean and well organized and their staff is polite and helpful. The prices are competitive as well. The owner knows how to run a local business!

It is always great to see a business truly care about their customers. Every time I enter any of their stores in the are I am always greeted and asked if I need any assistance. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and eager to help pair drinks with occasions, meals, or even their fine cigars. Excellent job, Longhorn Liquor!

Mike Williams and his staff have been very generous to the people they serve when finding your spirit, wine, and beer needs. They go far beyond to excel in their customer service with insight better than the big box stores of Specs and Total Wine. Again, they go far and beyond so its always better to support local whether you are in Beaumont are the other stores in the SETX. Glad they have open the Katy location and soon to be in the Houston area!

Ive been to the Beaumont, mid county and Silsbee locations. All of them have a great selection and the staff is always helpful. If they dont have something right then they know when theyre getting it. Honestly, they are a little higher than other places, but they also dont look the other way when you walk past them and youre obviously looking for something. I do my best to shop here exclusively.

Best selection, and by far the best prices! They have store picks, where these guys go and pick out the highest quality barrels from your favorite distillers! I refuse to spend my money anywhere else, these guys have the best juice and best customer service!

While in Longhorn Beaumont store yesterday (8/28/20) I found 2 bottles of rye Ive been looking for. I asked clerk to consider price matching on one. The Longhorn owner, Mike, approached the counter and injected comments about how he would not. He then became irate and began insulting me and my request.I though my feedback would have been useful about what his competition was pricing those bottles. He offered to price match one bottle, but told me to get out of his store a never come back. As I tried to explain my intent to provide valued feedback about the liquor prices at other stores he further became angry and said to take the bottle for free and get out. I refused to take the bottle.Longhorn prices are 10 to 25% higher on bourbons, ryes and Tennessee whiskeys than Sams Package store and other local competitors. The pretty stores and friendly in-store service is not worth that differential to me. Customers can get the same for less cost at the local competitors like Sams Package.Ive approached other local liquor store managers about price matching and have been treated politely either with a positive or negative response. Never have I been insulted and told to leave and never return.Longhorn is destined to fail with their current business model. Customers want good prices and courteous treatment. The employees and customers that witness the above encounter may be having doubts now. Its really unfortunate that the owner behaved this way. Longhorn Liquor business is going to be further stressed with more competition moving into our area.

Went to Dowlen Rd store to buy a well known brand of scotch. Actually had changed my shopping habits from Specs. Looked for 1.75 l Glennlevet none on shelf. Bought some other items and asked young lady if they had the scotch in 1.75 l I was looking for. Rang me up looked in her computer inventory and said we do not have it and dont know when we will get it have a nice day. Looks like she would at least say I will make sure we get some on our next order or something. I would have been good with that. She forced me to go back to Specs where they had plenty. So much for that, I will make one stop at Specs.

One of my key takeaways of any liquor store is if I can send my wife in there and she will be treated the right way and not be ripped off. Longhorn is that place and then some. Great selection, friendly staff. Can’t say enough good things about this place.

I have been going to longhorn since I have gotten into whiskey and barrel picks this past year. They have some of the best barrel picks you can get In Texas. The employees are also knowledgeable and provide excellent customer service.

For all of those that travel through Beaumont from Houston and Louisiana you should stop by. They have a great whiskey and wine collection and have specialty stuff and not just the run of the mill things like the chain liquor stores. The store is clean and the folks are friendly and knowledgable. They take pride in what they do!

Biggest selection of cigars I have seen in this area! The Harley Davidson Bike is just awesome and the staff is well education on the product that they are selling. Beautiful craftsmanship in the store and the Rickhouse themed wall is stunning.

I asked them for Drumshanbo Gunpowder Gin. They got a case and began stocking it regularly. I asked for Grey Goose VX, and they did the same. I asked for one of the Camus XO limited releases, and they actually were able to get me a bottle. Dont waste time going to Specs. Go to Longhorn. If they dont have it, theyll try to get it. They want your business. Customer service still means something there.
