Im not a Sallys regular and may only visit 4 to 5 times a year; therefore, diversity may not be an issue. But one reason I do not frequent Sallys is due to the lack of diversity when I do visit. Representation matters in all social settings and today it was comforting speaking with and getting advice from a young worker, whos hair texture is similar to my own. It is very important for beauty stores to have diverse workers selling their diverse products to the targeted populations: we all have different hair and skin needs. I want to feel comfortable knowing the person whos helping is able to help. Im not sure who this young woman is but she has awesome customer service. The products she suggested were great and are my current best products. It was even more comforting knowing shed used the products.

I went to SALLY’S yesterday to get some bleach and hair color and I met this wonderful girl named Marissa there.!She was totally attentive, answered all my questions without making me feel dumb, recommended what I needed instead of just telling to buy a bunch of unnecessary junk and to top it off even wrote all the steps down for me! If that’s not customer service I don’t know what is! This young lady deserves a raise and has fabulous hair by the way!

Sally’s is a beauty supply store, not a salon. I believe a lot of individuals go in there expecting professional salon advice or assume that the people working there are licensed beauticians.With that being said, rating the store based off of the results of a product is simply not fair and I will not do that!Sally’s is convenient and has what I need in stock majority of the time. They also have makeup brands that I’ve purchased on a whim and they turned out to be pretty good!What I like about Sally’s too is that there always seems to be some good deals going on, and even free gifts with purchases.While associates haven’t always given the best of advice, they have always been friendly. Simply put- go in there to get the beauty products you need, don’t go in expecting how-tos or tutorials, or predictions regarding products.

I usually drive to the sallys in Crosby just because the people are so much warmer. The staff here never seems to actually want to help or care to help. I do understand they have minimal knowledge of the product and what they may or may not do, they are just retail workers not cosmetologist BUT they should at least ask me if i need any help or when I do ask for help finding a product attempt to help dont just say i dont know and then keep looking at your phone. Overall not a helpfull bunch so its worth the drive for me to go elsewhere.

This store sold me a fake chi that did not even work, while trying to return it they figured there was nothing they could do for me because I must have been to blame right? I know people do this sort of thing but Im an honest customer who shops there frequently and they offered me nothing. They would never sale a fake..well they did.. to me. Im out a 100$ and I trusted this store. Im sure someones having fun with that money because they did not supply the item. Its a shame I wont be going back again. Im sure this is a rare case but somewhere along the line someone wasnt doing their job or decided they needed a nice iron. They can argue with me all day long but at the end of it I know for a fact what I paid to get and what I actually received. If they had actually done what they claimed and opened the boxes right off of the truck then this wouldnt have happened, I know they lied to me because I am looking at a fake broken chi right here. Either that or someone stole it. Dont recommend them anymore. Sad business. Ulta is a much better place to go and its worth the drive.

This store has the very worst manger. She doesnt help her employees and would rather let them struggle than lift a finger to help. I didnt get upset with the checker but when you ask for help from a manager they should help. It was truly ridiculous to be so rude. Nobody wants to see that! Ill shop somewhere else...made my experience there not even worth it.

On 9/15/17, I went into this store for a hair coloring product (NRage Purple Plum) to which I have documented photos over MANY years ONLY using THIS coloring. I was preparing for my sisters wedding on the next day as I was in the wedding party and the wedding singer. I was all prepared, dress and all, mani/pedi done, just last to do was my hair. I went to the same Sallys Beauty Store and was not able to find my coloring. We had to find someone for help. She gave me a box and I told her that it was in a bottle. I was told and reassured that it was the same product but the packaging was changed to a tube. I had to use it to have my hair ready for the wedding. My husband was helping me, like usual, with my hair. When he went to put the coloring on it exploded out of the top! It went in my hair, running down my face, some on my arms and legs, and on my back! It also got in my work shoes and on my carpet! Instinctively, I reached up to stop it in my face and it got in my hands and ruined my nails. My husband tried to clean my back as it was all over it. I was VERY UPSET and crying! With NO other choice but to finish my hair. I had to use that Orange degreaser and a toothbrush to help clean my nails enough for me to polish them myself. The very NEXT morning, I was in the store with the product, my shoes, and pictures of the whole mess. I was told that the manager was out sick. I would be back as I had to rush to find undergarments to cover my back as the dress was sheer. This whole mess had me SO upset at the wedding. I went back to the store the next week and the manager was STILL out. I asked for the corporate number, as it was not displayed, and was told that only the manager had that info. While waiting I was aware that the texture of my hair was different. It was harsh and looked dry and brittle and was breaking off! I went back to the store and finally was able to speak with the manager. My issues were discussed, other options to use to help my hair, even other store purchases, and I was then given the company number. As I was speaking with the manager, the lady that was unable to help me, came over and addressed HIM in Spanish! She spoke English to me ALL the time and NOW she rudely and unprofessionally interrupted and assumed that I did NOT speak nor understood what she said! I did NOT say a word and reported her behavior to the company management because I am an African American and YES I DO SPEAK AND UNDERSTAND ENOUGH to have communicated my issues with her! It was VERY INSULTING TO ME! Corporate management spoke with me and was provided pictures of ALL the damages done to my hair, my body, my personal belongings, and the carpet to which my landlord held me accountable for the damages. ALL THIS and STILL NO solution! Losing my hair to the point that it HAD to be CUT! This has triggered a lot of anguish and anxiety as I am documented PTSD with depression due to an assault! I had a BEAUTIFUL long, thick, and healthy hair! My BEAUTIFUL PURPLE MANE was my crown and glory and the care and pride of it is now GONE! I feel VERY UGLY right NOW! I have on occasion cut my hair BUT UNDERSTAND that there is a difference in WANTING TO and HAVE TO! THIS has caused increased anxiety, depression, and distress! THIS has taken a BIG part of my positive self image and esteem and for the past 7 months put me in a place that I DID NOT want to be! I shared this with Sallys manager and company management! I know that with good care that my hair may eventually grow back, but dealing with it and looking at myself in the mirror is VERY hard! I just wanted them to address the issue and help me find a middle ground to close my initial concerns. But by having THIS drag on with NO empathy for my situation or their professional responsibilities for their defective product malfunction shows their lack of accountability to John Q Public, the disrespectful behavior of their employees that represent them, and personal, emotional and financial distress it has caused!

Im new to the Baytown area and all my experiences From coming to this store hasnt been great I look for products and while the workers are in there phone and nobody there to assist me or greet me but do have time to be on there phone I rather driver to other sallys then coming here.

Asked for if they carried dual shampoo and conditioner and the sales associate stated that it was all on the wall but it is mixed with other non-shampoo products(while filing her nails behind the counter). But the funny thing is I ask for Shampoo and she said for what?!?!Please hire associates that want to help and that knows what shampoo is used for.

HORRIBLE SERVICE!! Staff more worried about ordering from starbucks. Had to back in with reciept because I was overcharged. The woman behind me still hadx not been checked out because cashier on phone. Another staff member walks up (does not aknowledge anyone in line) and starts asking 1st casheir what time another employee was coming in. (In spanish mind you). I finally just got fed up & left.
