Order a cake 2 weeks in advance from bakery. Picked it up today, it was not anything like what we had ordered. Just something they threw together last minute. Every bit of excitement I had for my birthday cake was gone the moment I saw it.

This is by far the best store around to get everything you need for your home. From BBq to fresh seafood. I love there many options on fresh meats and they have the best bakery around as well. Love there beautiful plant section and they all so have fresh tortillas made fresh. As well a sushi. You cant go wrong by shopping here.

Nice store, best food, nice staff. HEB gets all my business for groceries. They have an order express lane with a few sweet girls who are fast and choose nice produce for you. Sushi is made fresh and I like the exotic fruits.

I love HEB they do try their hardest i have no complaints.

Went downhill... an hour before closing we waited in line for about 25 minutes because it was the only one open besides self checkout, all while two managers stand there looking at a line of people discussing that an employee needed to get back from break. To top it off the guy manager walks outside while we were too and tells the guy doing carts to go get an electric chair cart on an Eisley because it died... so much for leadership. They used to be the community go-to but now they act like helping is to much work on their end.

Such a nice large selection of produce its a bit out of the way but I thought well worth it sadly this is what I was going for I love that you can get exotic fruits but I have bought them from this store and been very disappointed these fruits cost alot and have all been rotten and local hebs will not stand by other heb products from what I was told unfortunately they got me twice

Its HEB, what do you expect? They had what I was looking for. The checkout was quick. The staff was nice and helpful. The place was clean.

I ordered through curbside so I could pick up and go since we were spending some time at the beach. I didn’t think I would need to go through the groceries before leaving, but I guess if this is my luck, I will be doing that from now on. The 2 meats I bought went out of date the day after purchasing (I picked up 8/2). I also purchased some little Debbie snacks and 2 of them went out of date 3 days later. Are you kidding? I was able to get a refund on the meat, but I didn’t discover the little debbies until today, so I feel it’s a waste of time and effort to even call now. I hate getting food that expires so quickly, and I’m frustrated there wasn’t a better system in place here to catch this sort of thing. Do better H‑E‑B.

Pleased the store is in Bay City and the staff have always been friendly. However, it’s unfortunate that Corporate has decided to install such a large self checkout section, while decreasing the number of checkers. We have no problem with self checkout, but do they really think they are saving money in the long term? Those self checkout areas still require checkers to assist customers.

Nice but somewhat more expensive than Walmart

I must say my last visit was very good. When I get off work late, around 10pm, I sometimes have to run in & grab a couple things. Im in & out pretty quick. About 90 percent of the time the checkers & baggers are very unprofessional & rude & some have even been on their cell phones, its obvious they do not want to be there. If you have to act like that, dont get a job dealing with the public! During the day its just the opposite. The manager is phenomenal & she is always willing to go out of her way to help you.

Reason for such a low rating is due to I did a curb-side pick up and when I got home my bag of grapes was not even half full but not just that but the grapes was rotten clearly visible and I don’t understand how a worker would seriously pick that out to put for a pick up, if anything should have thrown it away!!! Very upset threw it completely away!!! They must do better

My shopping experience has been great at Heb groceries and at the Pharmacy .There employees are there to help youhow ever they can .Its differentThey want my business and they got it.The pharmacy its great now lets get personal They know my name .Usually I neverHave to wait on my scripts thereready .If there is a problem theyfix it or tell me what I have to do .oh forgot one thing they move customers quickly through the line at the registers .Thank you Heb Bay City TexasSincerely Pat Dowlen

HEB in Bay City is Great store. The best HEB I ever been to.

This HEB isnt the worst due to its good workers. However, I dislike their deli as it is compared to how it use to be. The parking lot isnt as big as I would like it to be especially on holidays as it can be difficult to find a good spot. Lines can be long but still appreciate them having more than one register opened (unlike other retailers).

Has huge selection. Love it!

I really like H-e-b,vegetables are usually on point,and I like the meat here.Gas is usually a couple of cents cheaper at Walmart, but its all the way across town in Bay city,so I usually just fill up here also.I like the rainbow wash they have in their car wash too.

I really like this HEB grocery store located in Bay City, TX. This HEB has a very large selection of meat & seafood & chicken as well as wines & many other products. I may start driving to this HEB instead of the store in Port Lavaca, TX. I will have to check my mileage& see which HEB grocery store is closest & fastest to get to.

Small town H-E-B in Bay City but was fairly clean with a bakery and Deli

Had half wits scream at me the last two visits. Now Im limiting my visits to this place until they can get it together and treat myself and others, with proper responce to a ordained servent and first responder. Lacks proper trained persons to take care of people Im proper order of law and community standards.

That guy that is in charge of crawfish cooking has certainly got it down pretty good. My wife and I picked up 3 lb today its probably some of the best crawfish Ive ever eaten perfect perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked. The Crawfish peeled easy like peanuts. IP

Recently, shopping at HEB in Bay City, as I walked in the store I was greeted by a very friendly employee as I shopped another employee noticed that i was looking for something and stopped to ask if she could help me find something and then went out of her way to take me to the product. The employee at the checkout was also very courteous. As i was loading my groceries in my car an older gentleman ( another employee) stopped and said let me help you with that. As he walked away he went out of his way to reach under a truck and pick up the trash underneath. I must say, I felt very good about spending my hard earned money st this local HEB. Good job yall!.

Its tooooooooo small needs to be drastically expanded and a new large HEB built immediately! Customer service is not friendly lots of young people that only greets caucasians and not people of color and very rude and bag milk and bread together even when I asked them not to do that and putting cold with my hot deli food in the same bag. Its very depressing even when I bring it to management attention and lots of there young cashiers are always on their cellphones texting!

HEB curbside is an outstanding service. Being a senior citizen, in a high Covid risk category, Curbside is literally a potential life saver. Staff is very courteous, efficient and a pleasure to do business with. Thank You HEB.

Bay City HEB is horrible!! They are never stocked, even before the pandemic. The restrooms are filthy. I have purchased old meat twice. Curbside has sold me old food. The delivery service set my order in direct sunlight in 100+ degree weather (not the area I noted in the instructions) and didn’t ring the bell. I found it 3 hours later, and the cheese was melted. I was able to exchange but, for all the trouble, I could have just went to the store myself! Today I went in just a few minutes after the service desk closed (because sometimes life happens and you’re running late) and went through a line, asking to load cash into my Netspend card. A manager who authorized the exact same transaction two weeks ago told me she was new and couldn’t do it. Really?! I just left. I’m not going to argue. But I will take my business elsewhere. Zero stars.

HEB is a wonderful store and a great community booster. A few things are missing from the shelves but Im confident theyll be back given a little time.

Want a fast stop and shop? Want to get in and get out? If you know what you want/need, can read, and have no issue keeping it at a knees to chest pace, then this is the place. I can go in this store for a full shopping adventure, and I am in and out quickly... Every single time!

HEB is an unique Texan take on Walmart. They have some good items which can’t be found elsewhere. Their steaks and briskets are full of flavor unlike other big time grocers. Lots of junk food and sodas but they are just responding to customer demand. Would like to see lots of keto items and organic grass fed grass finished beef.
