I truly only like posting great reviews so this is difficult. Both my wife and I were not impressed. Coffee was average. The location was indeed clean. However what was most disappointing was the poor unfriendly customer service. Neither she or I felt invited and we went in for our orders seperately (as we took turns because we had a dog on leash outside with our daughter). We visit many coffee shops across the state and country and this was simply a disappointing experience.
This is the cutest little coffee shop. Such good vibes. I had my first ever Matcha latte there and the barista made it so delicious. I’ve had a latte and two of their toasts. I cannot stress enough how wonderful the toasts are. I have had the pear toast and the avocado toast. Both have angelically blessed my taste buds.
Coffee is garbage tastes like water. Hotel coffee tastes better. Why spend your money here when you can actually get a decent coffee at Starbucks for the same price!
My family and I are visiting from Ohio and wanted some coffee from a local place and decided to try this one because of how conveniently located it was. I was super excited to see a cereal milk latte on the menu! I had to get it! It was delicious! I loved the atmosphere and vibe of the place! And the baristas were very classy:)
The coffee was strong but flavorful. Loved the sweet swirled bun w/powdered sugar on top. Yum! Also liked being able to sit outside on this lovely morning. We will visit again.
This was one of the best meals I’ve had in the state. The macchiato was perfect! The breakfast sandwich was wonderful. A perfect blend of flavors, all well cooked. The space is cozy and sparse but expands through the building into the back yard. There staff was friendly and pleasant. Service was fast too. I highly recommend this spot and I can’t wait to go back.
Nice place, iced latte was pretty good. Customer service left a bit to be desired. Employees did not seem very welcoming.
Wonderful spot. Great old fridge for grab-able drinks, delicious toasts and other breakfast items and creative coffee beverages that are more than just your standard latte.
Best coffee in the area with pastries to boot. Lovely relaxing aesthetic with welcoming staff. 100% recommend to anyone who’s looking for a great small coffee shop experience, especially travelers passing through.
Excellent coffee and atmosphere. I got the Derby and its a blend of espresso, cinnamon, and mint. It was DELICIOUS!
Great vibe! Lots of varied seating, indoors and outdoors. Coffee was delicious, I also had an amazing lemon scone. Great service!
Fantastic coffee, even better vibe!! Thanks to our barista, Meridian!! Really cool place out back to hang out, made us wish we had more time. Will def be back!! ❤️😎
At first glance, the shop appears to be very trendy. its clean and has nice bathrooms. tons of sunlight. staff was a bit oversolicitous. confusing seating. terrible san pellegrino selection. the coffee was good. still much better then the rest of the downtown
The Cereal latte is one of the best iced coffee drinks I’ve had!!
LOVE harless & hugh!
Not a friendly place, save your money. Coffee isnt even that good.
Great place for a cup! Stopped here driving through town and were so glad we did. Would definitely come back to H&H
Food was delightful, light, and healthy. My family enjoyed the experience and would definitely recommend.
Super cute space, extremely friendly staff, delicious pastries
Cute spot to grab coffee. Bigger than it looks, with plenty of space to not feel crowded.
One of the best coffee shops in the Tri cities, an atmosphere different from any other shop. Unique, creative and innovative
1st time customer! Love the Chai tea, good service and nice atmosphere on a Sunday afternoon!
Great coffee. Friendly service.
Loved the Ethiopian pour over...wish I would have ordered two.
Love the drinks! Coffee/beer/wine, are all amazing. The food is mind blowing with all the flavors used.
Great service and unique specials. Also serve beer.
Very good coffee and service
Cozy and clean atmosphere! staff is personable and kind. 🤍 highly recommend!
Nice place to get a grest tasting. Coffer
One of my favorite coffee shops in Bay City!
The patagonia berry tea (with honey) was the best tea I have ever had!
Seemingly best coffee in Bay City based on recommendations and trying a few different places over a weekend trip. I tried the house brew and it had great flavor. They serve pastries as well that look very good though I didnt try any.
They made our nice little getaway into a memorable weekend! Thank You!Between my husband and I, we shared the avocado toast with the pickled egg, delicious, and the quiche, mmm so good. I had the M25, it reminded me of the cold coffee I grew up with in India. The whole Bay City experience was good but the amazing breakfast is why we will go back.
Warm and friendly with pastries!
Visited from Florida and loved it. Every time we are in Bay City we visit for coffee with my dad. We have been going for years!
Amazing drinks, great atmosphere
Absolutely the best coffee shop in all the Bay City, Saginaw, Midland area!
It was a nice place to go, an good service, with a friendly smile,
Harless and Huges was fantastic! The barista was an angel, not only did she make the most delicious breve Id had in forever she also ran outside to return my debit card Id left on the counter. Thank you bunches!
This is a very nice coffee house. It has atmosphere and the kind of feel, that makes you want to stay awhile. The tea and coffee is real good and the baked goods are delicious. Service was spot on and it was clean. I highly recommend and will be back again for sure.
Pour over house blend coffee was fantastic. The flavor was very robust, and prices were reasonable for a high quality cup of coffee.
Classic cozy perfect independent third wave coffee shop in Downtown Bay City MI. It’s all about the coffee here. Home made syrups. Plenty of alternative milk choices. Full tea menu. Brunch menu growing constantly and very popular with the regulars. A cooler full of non coffee choices you don’t find too many places. A cabinet full of CRUST Bakery pastries with plenty of options that can be warmed (or not). But let me finish where I started: it’s all about the coffee. They have NOT forgotten to keep the quality and love in the brews as they expand and diversify the menu. Don’t waste your time on pump bottle syrups you can get in the grocery or club stores. If you want a good espresso, pour over and all the variations - go to a place that loves what the do and do it well. Go here.
Very good coffee. Nice back patio where you can relax in the morning shade. Overall pretty darn good.
I was in the area for a business meeting and wanted a vanilla macchiato. Saw this place on the map. Espresso grinds in the bottom of the cup, the milk was Luke warm and no vanilla. Yea waste of time. 25 minutes for a macchiato that wasn’t good at all. And the girl asked if I was sure I wanted a macchiato! Not returning
Took 30 minutes from time I walked in till I got my coffee. Coffee is decent but not worth the 30 minute wait, thus the one star. I would not go here again. Some advice: hire more people. There were 2 people working. One taking and fulfilling orders and another working in the back. I think she was making food, without a hair net or gloves. But Im not sure.
Always amazing!
I loved the flower latte ♡♡
Great coffee shop; weekends can be busy at times but its worth it. Definitely recommend the caramel latte! Or if you arent a coffee drinker they have some amazing herbal teas.
Favorite coffee shop in Bay City. The remodel turned out well. Love the atmosphere and music they play.
Had the lavendar white chocolate latte and it was delicious 🥰 Not to mention, my boyfriend who HATES coffee actually drank the rest of mine it was so good 😂
Coffee is amazing ! The quinoa salad I had was also amazing. Also its a really cool place just to hang out. My only criticism would be it is dramatically over priced. I could have made the salad at home for a fifth of the price but if youre looking for someplace cool to hang out with friends I think its worth checking out.
This is a must try coffee and tea shop. They serve great coffee and their tea is top notch. They also have good cinnamon rolls, big enough to share. Their customer service has always been outstanding and their facility is nice. Well worth the quick trip for coffee to-go or to sit and enjoy a beverage in their quiet shop.
Great coffee, atmosphere and staff
We had a family breakfast with my son and fiancee this past spring. It is a lovely little shop. The cinnamon rolls are wonderful. The coffee supreme!
Hands down the best coffee shop in Bay City! The coffee is top notch with plenty of options to satisfy any pallet. The service is amazing and the staff is super friendly. I highly recommend this little spot. There is ample room to sit and work, a large table for conferencing with others, and even a fireplace.
High end coffee, tea, and light meals in a well-appointed space. Its comfortable here, with your choice of window seating, benches, bars, or couches and chairs in the backroom. Everyone here is friendly, not just the staff. Its the kind of coffee shop youd expect in a big city, right here in Bay City. Grab a house blend coffee or try one of their amazing seasonal beverages. Go on Sunday for their waffle brunch, or grab a snack out of the refrigerator case. You can also get coffee supplies here, not to mention craft and import beer by the bottle.
This is an extremely nice and cozy place. It has a very hipster vibe and the cafe aspect of it is very nice. The workers seem to truly enjoy what the do and each order is made to perfection. Seasonal drinks are phenomenal! The rosemary mint latte is to die for.
One of the best coffee shops I’ve been to—and I drink a lot of coffee. The house made syrups are very good and you can tell they work on their craft. Great ambiance and friendly staff!
Calm atmosphere, the person behind the counter was very helpful (Im pretty sure his name was Luke) and the prices arent too bad
I was visiting from out of town and in search of early morning iced tea and muffins when I found this place. Id tried two other places slightly closer on my map, but one didnt open until 10 (???) and I could not find the second one and assumed it was out of business (turns out they just have no signage at all and looked closed). By the time I found H+H I was a little cranky and worried about being late to my meeting. The signage is not great on this business either (the name on the building is H+H, not Harless + Hugh) but can be found and thats the only thing I have to say that isnt lovely. The staff was immediately friendly and gracious in a sincere way, the service was fast, the herbal iced tea was excellent, and the space is a balance of hipster and cozy well executed. I recommend it.
First off I would have to say the coffee was some of the best coffee I have ever had and the price was very reasonable. The only reason this is not a five star review is that from the minute I walked in wearing sweatpants and a t-shirt, I felt like I was not welcomed there. I cant say that I wouldnt recommend the coffee but I most likely will not be returning.
Great place! Coffees are excellent, and I enjoyed the avocado toast for a nice, light afternoon snack.
This coffee shop was so adorable! The inside was welcoming with lots of different seating options. I tried the hazelnut latte and the cheese board. Both were delicious. Baristas were friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be back!
I always enjoy this place... and recommend it often... great vibes... friendly and accommodating staff.... worth the wait if theres a line... theres a line cos its good stuff... all the wayI tried a squash and ricotta toast today....#IAMINLOVEIts amazing... never disappointed....This place really made my day tho....That toast was the truth
Such a cute coffee shop. Great coffee, friendly staff and good vibes!
I worked in Bay City last summer, and Harless & Hugh was a weekly (ok maybe daily) staple. Now I live an hour and a half away, and all I can do is dream about this place until I happen to be in the area again.Ive tried a few different things, but an iced sea salt caramel almond milk latte is my go-to. The almond milk and caramel work really well together and give it an incredible depth of flavors while making it super smooth and creamy. When I worked in the area I tried their tacos on Taco Tuesday, and Id highly recommend. They change weekly, so if you happen to be around on a Tuesday, Id say its worth checking out.The interior is very cool and modern, with a nice mix of new and old.I now work at a coffee shop, but H+h is still my favorite. I dont know how they do what they do, but I hope they keep on doing it.
Simply the best mocha I have ever had! Incredible quality coffee, amazing aroma and taste.
They have a great tea selection. I had hibiscus tea and it was delicious. My fiancee had the espresso mocha and he loved it. Will definitely go back. The music was so relaxing.
Delicious coffee and a very cool atmosphere. The workers were very kind as well. I witnessed an awkward situation where a guy wasnt happy with the amount of coffee in his cup and the worker handled it very well. Definitely recommend this place! 👌🏻
Very cozy and modern coffee shop well located in downtown Bay City. A little pricy, but the good atmosphere and polite staff more than make up for it. Good coffee.
Good coffee, very good service and excellent kitchen food and pastry. The atmosphere was great, good setup for talking without feeling like everyone was in your conversation.
Awesome little shop in downtown. Great selection of the fancy coffee stuff. The cold Brew was delicious. They do brunch food. Waffle with home-made ice cream was great.
One of the better places to get artisan coffee beans in the Great Lakes Bay Region. Everything about Harless & Hugh epitomizes quality coffee. Its also a great place to sit down, relax and enjoy a pour over. They partner with Bay City bakeries and offer a number of pastries, etc. The decor is fun, interesting and comfortable. Between the front of the shop and back there is plenty of seating.
Very personable, classy, and progressive establishment. The coffee is the best Ive ever indulged in and youre almost sucked in to kick back and relax with a good book. Lyndsay is running an awesome cafe and I hope more folks come to appreciate it!!
Great homemade syrups. I had a salted caramel latte. I was happy we had a chance to stop by and rest for a bit. My husband had a phenomenal Danish.
Great coffee. Friendly people.
Coffee is always hot and delicious. food is the same. always a joy to stop in here! (-:
Best quality coffee in town. The prices are a little high but the coffee is the best around. You wont regret whatever you purchase. The espresso is strong and delicious.
Nice place to find a cup of coffee
Darn good coffee, nice staff.
Delicious.
