Zero stars is what I would give if it was an option! Saturday we used the drop box to have our kia get an oil change and have a full inspection, there is a squeaking that we suspect is the breaks. We went out of town for the day and didnt pick the car back up until after 9pm, WE DROVE LESS THAN 5 MILES and the oil light started flashing!! We pulled over, popped the hood and there was oil sprayed everywhere 🤬 We had to have the car towed back to the dealership!! I left a not very nice voicemail on Saturday night, expecting a call Monday morning, maybe an apology for what happened..nothing! They never called..when I finally just called they said they didnt even check their voicemails from the weekend! I tried not to get mad at the receptionist because I know its nothing she personally did but I was pretty mad at this point! After explaining everything to her she said they would get it in the garage and call me back in an hour.. again nothing! 2 hours pass and I still never got a call back!! I finally just called back and she said the technician said the drain plug was cracked but they didnt believe it to be their fault because drain plugs dont just randomly crack 🤬 Not once did they take the blame or apologize for what happened!!

I can only speak good things about each employee I had pleasure of meeting and who helped each time I had questions and concerns regarding my 2019 Kia Rio. Although Ive had to have a two year vehicle in note than once for maintenance work, the amount of miles and wear and tear that has been put on the car in a short amount of time due to controllable and uncontrollable circumstances is not the companys fault or a reason to say anything negative towards Kia, nothing on Earth lasts forever, which is why we are to be grateful and thankful each day for what we have and cherish what God has given to us and open our eyes to the truth about needing Jesus Christ in each of our lives, in our homes, in our country.. And continue praying each day, being patient with each other. Thank you Thelen Kia for showing me true characteristics of Christ in your words and deeds.

It was actually my wife that went through the process but I appreciate her being able to walk in to a dealership and have a salesman that was down to earth and not pressuring her to buy something she didnt want. Jon was just a personable guy and straight forward. He was able to set her up in something that was practical and what she liked and found an incentive for her. She felt like he honestly wanted her to walk away happy with her purchase with no regrets. The sale and Financials were professionally handled in a friendly manner. She drove off the lot that day with her new car. So far so good on the car!

I was driving through Bay City when my car suddenly had a mechanical failure. I couldnt say more good things about everybody in the service department. They had me back on the road and onto my vacation quickly. I am from down state and the service at this dealership was 20x better.I was treated more like a family friend than a random person off the street. I will probably drive the three hours to bay city just to buy my next car from them.

Let me get straight to the point, I recently bought a vehicle from this dealership. To say my experience was pleasant would be doing a disservice to anyone that is reading this. The sales manager and I agreed on an out the door price, then when I received the paperwork, I noticed there was a documentation fee of $220...I was then told that the state of Michigan requires this fee, after some research, I found out that wasn’t the case at all. It is a fee that the dealership charges not the state. I reached out to the sales manager Zane with my dissatisfaction on the topic and his only solution he had for me was to file a complaint with the state. You would think as a business this is not the reputation you want to portray to a paying customer. In the grand scheme of things, $220 isn’t a lot of money, but what I am concerned about is the lack of customer service this gentleman had. Instead of doing the right thing, and removing the fee, and potentially gaining a repeat customer, he dismissed me. I was just a number to him. It’s disappointing this was my experience, and that this business does not value their relationship with their customers. I hope this review brings awareness to other customers who may fall for any of their scams.Regretfully,One dissatisfied customer
They have an decent selection of cars but most were priced higher than their competitors. They were also unable to jump-start a car for us to test drive.

Ordered a part. Use the term for the part that every other auto maker uses. Sent a driver to go get the part. They ordered the wrong part. I am a business and I cant go over to get the parts so I have drivers that go after parts for us. Thelen Kia says theyre going to charge me a 35% restock fee to return the part. For now on Ill go to McDonald Kia in Saginaw.
Alex and I trained as EMT’s over a year ago, the moment I found out he worked at Thelen Kia I messaged him and told him I wanted a Kia Soul. At the time my financial situation wouldn’t allow it. After being fed up with my current vehicle a year later I was insistent that I needed a new car and I wanted a box! Other dealers told me with my credit I couldn’t choose to be picky. (I’m rebuilding credit). Never once did Alex make me feel that way and he stopped at nothing to get me my box at a cheaper payment then my current! Tiffany Riley is the best car salesman Ive found in the area. Honest and always upfront about everything. Even with my credit not being very good she worked with me as much as she possibly could and wasnt rude like 90% of the others.
Bought a 2017 Sorento lx delivered never left the house great service good price and looks as good as the pictures.
They didnt give me a great deal it was.ok but Ive come to expect that from thelen,the deal is always in their favor,my trade in was thousands less than what I bought it for six months ago.Also the environment was very violent,workers/salesmen smashing office equipment pieces of plastic all over the showroom floor,someone that worked there was really mad,I know thelen has been there along time but Ill shop elsewhere,,maybe saginaw..

They didnt have new floor mats. Inside smelled like smoke and not a new car smell. Windows on inside are dirty!! Otherwise sales reps were good. He didnt explain all the features.

We spoke to the service department about an issue with our Niro S-touring, and we had one of the best experiences that weve encountered at a dealership in a very long time. Tiffany, the service representative, and Nick, the mechanic, were not only the most kindest people weve met, but they were also beyond helpful. They went above and beyond to help us, and theyre an incredible asset to this establishment.Too often reviews are written by angry customers, and its very important that we praise those that are truly wonderful. This is my first Kia vehicle and my first oil change. I made an appointment and arrived 10 minutes early. I pulled up to the door it opened and I was waved in. A gentleman quickly greeted me while I was in my car. I told him I had an appointment and he responded there are 3 in front of you. He Ask if I had any other issues I shared I would like to talk to someone about the remote start I had installed here. He instructed me my options as to where I could wait. All the rooms had people in them n doors were shut. I did not feel safe from COVD with 3 others n a child in a room with a shut door. I waited in the room For 1 hour and 35 minutes. The gentleman returned went over oil change details said it would be 30 min to see technician I said I can’t wait. I went to window paid. Which was excessive amount compared to my past experiences at other dealers where I bought my vehicle. The gentleman said the tech looked at remote n it worked for him read my Manuel. I left. While I went for an oil change and that was completed I think bc I saw nothing. I left feeling frustrated bc I bought car n paid to have remote installed at dealer n no one could give me 5 min to review how it works.
They have your best interest in mind for any questions or thoughts you may have and special thanks to the Kia department (Tiffany) in sales and service department. Satisfaction is obviously your goal!Sure works for me, thank you!
Very disappointed in this dealership, heard horror stories of this place, i should of listened, zero stars, do your self a favor and steer clear of Thelen, its not the same as it used to be.
I have purchased several new cars from Thelen auto group in the past. This was the first time I looked for a used auto.My wife and I were truly impressed with the service and patience of the sales consultant, Tiffany Riley. We did not know exactly what we wanted but were curious about several models Thelen had on the lot. Ms. Riley helped us with test drives and information on each of the models, all of which were very clean and in very nice shape. Again, the cars we tested were all mechanically and visually of high quality.We had to have been there more than an hour and Tiffany never lost interest in us. (Even as I test drove a car I said I wouldnt buy but was always curious about...ended up loving it but it was electric and didnt have the range we needed) We were both so impressed that as we drove away we commented on how we wanted to buy a car from her. We had a few in mind as we left but found THE car at another lot.Later, I talked to the manager (to tell him about Tiffany) and he told me if I tell him what I am looking for next time he will try to find it!If you are searching for a used (ehem...pre-owned) automobile, stop by Thelens lots and check them out.I recommend talking to Tiffany Riley! In for oil change. When they asked about tire rotation I said no, because last time you just switched front and rear on the same side. The guy just said ok, and took my keys. No response to my comment at all.

I had made an appointment for a Monday. Well we had a snow storm come in on Monday. I had called on Sunday and left a message that I would like to cancel and reschedule my appointment. Received no phone calls from my Sunday cancellation call. I called the following Friday about a reschedule date. They had never received the message that I had called to reschedule my appointment. To their credit they did get me in on that Friday to do my recall and warranty work. But communication between departments really needs to be worked on. Had I not called they would have sent my parts back with never getting in contact from them about my “missed” appointment.My service was great. They got my car right in it took a little longer than stated, but life happens. They are knowledgeable and very quick. I appreciate that in their service.
Customer service was excellent while we were there we got tickets with pit passes from 94.5 and 25 gift card for dinner from 102.5. All around was a great experience. I would recommend Thelen to anyone.

I have a low speed brake noise that could have been tested in a driveway. They would not “test drive “ on a weekend even though the noise is heard at slow speed rolling stop. They could have had my brake business! Are we not washing cars afterward due to COVID?

Had my vehicle in for a mechanical issue (15 Optima Hybrid) Took it to a different dealership to get the generator/ alternator replaced and they were still receiving codes. Could not analyze it any further so I had them ship it to you. The service manager from the first dealership talked to your manager and was informed that the only tech that works on hybrids was off till July and that there was nothing you could do with it. After further discussion on how to achieve a solution, your manager became rude and unhelpful stating at one time, if he didn’t like the answer, call Mike Thelen. Then had it shipped to McDonalds and was informed it was only a module calibration that needed to be performed for the new part. If this is how you stand by your vehicle’s ( bought the Kia there), you will no longer get my business again!!

Updating this. Salesperson Tiffany was excellent. There were several issues behind the scenes that could have and should have been avoided by Thelan. I met wit manager Ricky on these yesterday and they are committing to fixing those issues with long wait, staffing and response time. Kia is an excellent brand and this is my 3rd Optima. Love the Optima model.

Nothing on the lot I was looking for. Called before making the 1 hour drive from the thumb as they where advertising a huge sale on the radio. Sales person said they had lots of trucks in the sale. Only four trucks total. I was interested in a red dodge Dakota and asked sales person for the sale price and he asked what kind of payment I was looking for? I didnt asked for a payment!!!! Stopped at Bay Auto Brokers not far away and got a nice 2007 Dodge ram 4x4 loaded power everything front buckets, LSD rear axle for only $7500 plus gave me $1000 from my junker I was driving.
