If you ever have a chance to come to Bay City visit St.Laurent Brothers in downtown Bay City. A candy shop you will have a hard time leaving. My favorite is the home made peanut butter. St Laurent Brothers is very popular amongst us locals.

My kids love this place! We travel from Port Austin just to stop in.

If there was a way to give less than 1 star I would. Went here today for my birthday anniversary and soon as we walked in there were other patrons in the store. We were greeted and the young lady asked if she could help us with anything and her and the guy followed us all the way to the other side of the store. My partner had already replied that we were there for some ice cream. There was so much to see I begin admiring everything and kept walking throughout the syore. My partner just followed me encouraging me to pick something to remember the moment and place. He noticed they had carmel popcorn and suggested I get some. I picked that up. I noticed they had starburst straws and suggested he get that so I picked that up. The young lady asked if she could help me with anything I said Im still looking. My partner suggested I get some cashew brittle I did she helped me and then asked afterwards if she could help me with something else. I told her again Im still looking. She said well you can sit your things down on the counter. I was a bit shocked as other patrons held things in their hands. I sat the two items down anm My partner had enough. I saw him walking out and followed. Really left a bad view about this place and the people that work there.

Love the prices and treats, but cannot overlook the service unfortunately. Every time I come into the store, I don’t even have a second to look around and read what candies there are, because a worker is constantly following you around, almost pressuring you to hurry up and get out. Today, I came in with my friend, and there were around 6-8 workers huddled behind the counter and as soon as we walked in, every single one stared at us, looked at each other, and smirked in a pretentious way. Then as per usual, as soon as I get to the counter, I’m greeted with an almost robotic sounding “can I help you with anything?”. While I appreciate being serviced, the workers asked us at least 10 times. Owner or managers, please do some customer service training with these young workers.

Loved their selection of candies you dont find anymore and the sugar free selection was amazing!

A unique nostalgic candy shop that has been in business for a long time you can get most classic candy from here. They also make there own chocolates and other assorted sweets. If you get lucky you might even see Madonna here.

Love all the old time candies you can get here as well as all the handmade stuff.

There was a terrible smell in the store today. I realize the building is old and thats par for the course..but it was very unappetizing tonight. However, great selection and friendly staff.

One of the biggest collections of candy and chocolates that I have seen anywhere! They have truffles, fudge, and many chocolate covered items. They have name brand candies, including some rare kinds like crazy flavor jelly beans. Friendly staff. Check this place out and you will feel like a kid in a candy shop! At least I did. I thank God for this place. Candy is Gods love made edible (in moderation of course)

St. Laurent brothers has pretty much every thing you need for specialty baking not to mention a huge selection of candy and nuts. I absolutely love st. Laurent brothers. Their peanut butter is THE BEST.

A lot of delicious candy, many have not seen it! Ice cream is also a big one, my favorite is chocolate chips.

February 2, 2019. Hot chocolate contest was going on so we were served delicious hot chocolate with chocolate covered marshmallow. Purchased fudge and rock candy. The man who prepared our fudge purchase was friendly and kind. The lady who served hot chocolate and cashed us out was also kind and friendly. Store has many candy options in addition to the nuts. We tried the free chocolate covered nut samples and they were scrumptious. Great experience. Thank you so much❤️

Nice to see that its still here. Love their chocolate almond covered toffee. Its nice to be able to buy handmade chocolates, pick your own mix and also let the kids pick out some kiddy candy while youre there. A fun place to go without breaking the bank. They also have nuts and fudge.

Best service . Best candy. I called to see if they had a particular sweet for my mom for Mothers Day . The owner answered when I called. He not only fixed up a box and set it aside for me but he gift wrapped it in the most beautiful paper with a bow. He really made me look good ! Thank you from the bottom of my heart. My mother was thrilled.

St Laurent Brothers has all of treats you could want. Their selection of candy and nuts is always fresh and delicious. They always have an excellent selection of seasonal items. My wife and I were shopping for stocking stuffers and found everything we needed and more. The staff was very friendly and efficient. It is nice to find a store where the staff obviously enjoys their work.

Find candy from your childhood days! Also a huge assortment of chocolates, sugar free candy ... and nuts! Great place to stop on a trip to browse and get goodies to take home and snack on during the ride! My favorites ... soft chewy coconut macaroons, Heath bar type toffee and coconut haystacks covered in chocolate!

Great old fashioned candy store, hand dipped chocolates and fun candy for kids as well. Must try are the Double dipled chocolate covered raisins. If you dont like raisins, just leave them for me :) price point seems a bit high but well worth a sweet tooth visit.

St. Laurent has candy and nuts every day but they hold a special place in my heart and home for the holidays! There were 2 places that helped make Christmas special: Model Bakery for cookies and St. Laurent Brothers for the candy. The special candies for Christmas are all there. My mother would fill pretty candy dishes with so many different candies. They seemed to just appear. The dishes would shine and the candies would glimmer in the dishes from the lights on the tree. I can remember just looking in wonder at the dishes. Then wed choose our favorites and carefully place the tops back on those delicate dishes. I never knew the candies came from this store until I was sent to get them for my own child. My mom had to tell me because she wanted her grandson to have the same memories.

I can get any amount, including ice cream. My husband loves spearmint leaves. They have some already in 1pound bags.

Youll have memories evoked of candy consumed as a kid that you had no idea was still being made. Youll find something for the most discriminating sweet tooth. No matter what you purchase, youll leave with a smile on your face.

I have discovered this peanut butter and it is now my absolute favorite. Love that it is in a glass jar. I buy the crunchy No Salt Added.This is the only peanut butter I will ever buy.

Candy was cool in from San Antonio so the feeling of it being around since childhood isnt there. A lot of variety. Employees were rude. Only one lady smiled while asking if I need help so I ordered from her. Deff not how I personally would treat customers.

This place was amazing! Such an old country feel to it. They had tons of old school candy, homemade chocolates, and new age candy as well! But they dont stop there! They also serve ice cream! 😨 if youre diabetic, I would avoid this place like the plague because even the most disciplined dieters will be tempted to get something to ease their sweet tooth.

Not the store it once was! They still carry almost every candy made and a good variety of nuts but the prices keep raising while the quality of what they make has gone down or they dont make some things but have them shipped in loosing taste, texture and/or authenticity from what it was years ago to what has become these past few years.

Absolutely amazing old school fancy shop. Employees were super friendly and prices where not sky high. The selection was accessing and candy was 😋. Nestled on the Saginaw River with abundant parking, easy access, and last but not least a amazing view!!!
