A few years ago Meats and Mooore had an ice cream shack outback and decided to try an outdoor bbq then never looked back. Fabulous smoked meat. Big meaty, fall off the bone ribs, brisket that folks cant eat enough of. Many other meats smoked in an open pit. Many unique sides compliment the meats. All done well at an excellent price.utSecond review 2 weeks later. The brisket was available, folks. Sorry I started brisket platter before I took picture. 12 oz of heaven cut into 1/2 inch slices. Good as is, or your choice of about a dozen extra sauces. Waffle fries are so good I ate leftovers cold the next day. One damn fine bbq in mid Michigan.

The place will speak for itself once you try it. This is so good, adjectives dont do it justice. We are just sad it is not closer to us. I dont really like brisket, but this place has me wanting more. Perfection. We tried everything. The only thing that was not as good as everything else was the pulled pork. But with amazing ribs, brisket, chicken, and sausage, I think you can survive with no pulled pork.

First time there, everyone was very nice and helpful. Cant wait to get these brats on the grill.

We ate at the outdoor bbq shack. Quick and friendly service. Seems pricey at first but once you get your food you quickly realize the value. Paid 16 for a brisket sandwich with fries and a 20 oz coke. Sandwich came with 2 thick slices of brisket on grilled Napolitano bread. The sandwich was absolutely delicious and I could only eat half. Definitely will go back.Went inside to the meat counter where the service was also very quick and friendly. Very clean inside with a nice selection of quality meats.

This Butcher shop is AWESOME!The hamburger doesnt shrink to nothing, barely any fat. The ribeye steak is FANTABULOUS! Tender and doesnt shrink.The employees are friendly and I would recommend you stop by to check out their meat. You will NOT be disappointed.

My husband and I shared the Ultimate Sampler. The Ribs and Brisket was delicious! Chicken was good but not near as delicious as the ribs and brisket👌. The coleslaw and cheesy potatoes were good as well. I didnt give a 5 star only because the ordering and paying was disorganized and limited seating for a place that is very busy! I will go back again and just get the ribs. Yum!

Large selection of quality meat products. For Christmas we had a stuffed pork roast that was delicious. It was stuffed with spinach, blue cheese, smoked polish sausage and prosciutto. What a great meal.

Stopped in their today had never been there before. The place is fairly clean, the wait staff is friendly and the food is excellent. Everything is prepared fresh and tastes great. You can also purchase things to take with you on your way home. Their tacos were awesome and they have a variety of meats and different items on the menu. Well worth stopping in there if you are in the area.

Every sandwich Ive tried is amazing. Huge portions! Brisket is awesome.BBQ chicken is pretty dry, and the cheesy potatoes taste like a processed cheese food. Everything else is a hit! Guys are quite nice and funny too.

Best barbecue in a fifty mile radius. Generous portions, nothing disappointing Ive found on the menu yet. Very authentic, very good. I recommend the brisket or pulled pork, both of which are superb.

Called on price for Deer processing. I was told $99. When it was dropped off, was charged extra for miscellaneous additions and then was quoted $121.00. When I picked up the venison, the price went to $139.00. I also specified 1 lb packages; everything was packaged in 2lb. I felt ripped off and would not recommend this place.

On there first Taco Tuesday I really enjoyed pulled pork and shredded chicken soft shell tacos at the Mean Rooster located inside Meats and Mooore. Fresh ingredients, large portions and excellent service definitely make me a return customer.

I am so impressed with this place. The BBQ falls off the bone. The Roadhouse dog is huge and so good. I had the cheesy potatoes. All I can say is I have found my new favorite place to eat. Employees are friendly and helpful and prices are very good also.

Good barbecue, but a bit pricey for rustic fare. Sauces are nice, even having some spicy ones. Sandwiches are affordable at $6, but plates are all in the $15 and up range, so too much for lunch. Covered outdoor-only seating and limited drinks. You feel like youre eating in their parking lot. You can walk over to the butcher shop for a canned pop or fountain drink, so not convenient.

Outdoor eating in back has great atmosphere and social distance. Meat is grilled!

We happened upon this place by chance when we drove by. We turned around to check it out and glad we did. We ordered the ultimate Samer from their outdoor BBQ stand. It was all very good, but the brisket was better than anything Ive ever had. We will be returning!

Literally the only reason I go to bay city. The bbq is great and after eating the sandwiches and salads that they make in the deli inside, i will not eat a sandwich from anywhere else.

Had the Reuben and French dip sandwiches. They were both great and huge portions for a good price! I highly recommend stopping for lunch and all your fresh meat.

I had a deer processed here. Was very misleading on the cost. Unfortunately that wasn’t the bad part. The “trail sticks” that I ordered was the worst I’ve ever eaten. They tasted like an uncooked bratwurst. I had to bring them home and smoke them myself to make them edible. I paid $345.00 for that deer to be made into one batch of summer sausage and one batch of trail sticks. Worst 345.00 I’ve ever spent. Never again will I go there. If you’ve got a deer to process, don’t take it here.

Every time I come in from dallas, this is my go to, Craig and staff are fantastic! Hands down the venison hickory stick recipe Craig makes us the best! And Craig is a great guy!

I loved my Italian grinder from the deli. Good amount of meat and the flavoring was delish. I got the kielbasa soup with it. This is definitely my new sandwich spot.

The food is great however the last 2 times I have eaten from there outdoor grill my wife found long dark hairs in her food. Nothing like paying 25 dollars for a briskett and ribs and finding a literally 6 inch long black hair in your food. They happily replaced the order. The food was delicious tho all except the random hairs in the food!!

Best BBQ for a hundred miles. Choice grade meats, most places only carry Select. You get what you pay for. Good stuff.

Took my deer in. They did an excellent job a bit more pricey then most. But excellent cut/ wrap. My only complaint I didnt get my filets back. And it was a perfect kill. I should have gotten them thus the ☆star

Got a half rack of ribs that I could not even pick up without falling apart. Really nice sauces, only complaint is that the habenero could be a little hotter. Fun atmosphere, open air and nice patio areas with shade and sun.

Never bring a deer to this place for processing, they dont give a receipt for a reason, they overcharge for everything and when you pay for capeing a deer it is no more than a skinning and the taxidermy will charge you to do it right. I have had deer processed at other places cheaper and better.

The BBQ sampler with sausage, chicken, ribs, and brisket was PHENOMENAL. Definitely worth a stop at this place if youre passing through town!

We love this place! The ribs are fantastic, the folks are great and we love to treat ourselves to their grilled food. We look forward to it every year.
