They were able to replace parts within a stated budget of $10,000, i.e. both idler arms, both idler arm supports, installed Timbrin suspension kits on front and rear, installed a new Auto Park Brake with two switches and one hose, one rear brake assembly and change the oil in my 1998 Motorcoach within a week - super fast compared to other places. None of this resolved the shaking and vibration at highway speeds, but did make it shake less. In spite of my best efforts and their mechanic looking it over multiple times to ensure it was safe and roadworthy, the leaking hydraulic fluid from the Auto Park Brake Reservoir (Park on the shift selector) or pump was overlooked in spite of the fact the bottom of the chassis was dripping wet with fluid and the pump ran excessively. The oversight may have been due to the fact repairing these issues would have driven the budget over $10,000 and the motorcoach would have gone to auction instead of being repaired. This Auto Park Brake malfunction caused the light to flicker on the dash while I was driving across the country. In this motorcoach, the Auto Park Brake will trip a safety valve/spring and engage when the hydraulic fluid gets too low while driving wearing down the Auto Park Brake causing the motorcoach to have no Park function or emergency brake when stopped - the main reason it was in for inspection and repair. While refueling in Oklahoma, I also noticed a heater hose was leaking under the hood. While stuck in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, it was fortunate that there was a Chevy Commercial Truck Dealership that got it in for repairs immediately and accessed parts immediately. They apologized for an hour delay - nothing compared to the weeks or months of waiting periods in Michigan. My advice to RV owners is to take it to a Commercial Truck Dealership of the manufacturer of the motorcoach even if that means driving it to another state. If the Commercial Dealership cannot repair it, then consider an independent facility - better to get it done right, and completely the first time. The Commercial Dealership gave me the sense my personal safety was important to them and performed a cursory road worthiness inspection of the motorcoach at no cost to me. This was not true for this independent repair facility. If time, getting the repair done right the first time and personal safety on a long distance trip is important, go to a Commercial Truck Dealership first.
