They suck!Back in 2014 when it was still Red Jacket, I placed a down payment on a suppressed rifle. It was gonna be a retirement gift to myself after 30 years of service in the U.S. Coast Guard.We all know what happened after that.After the dust cleared, they called me up and asked if I still wanted the rifle. I said yes!The new Owner/manager (Dennis Clements) which is now Meaux Guns, told me to come in and finish the application for the suppressed stamp and make the final payment. I did, about 9 months later I receives the tax stamp, to this date I have never received the weapon. I have all the emails and payment information documenting the purchase and his repeated guarantees that I would get the gun and still nothing.7 years after my down payment and roughly 4 years after receiving the tax stamp and serial number for the weapon and nothing. Ive asked for my money back and Mr. Clements stopped replying to my emails and calls.What a crook.Any Lawyers what yo take my cAe? I have all documentation and proof of payment

I ordered a ZK-22 conversion kit last may, they stated because of COVID-19 that it might take a while to receive my kit. 2 months later I emailed and got no response. I waited 2 more months no response. Called 3 times, no answer. Then I waited almost 6 months before sending another message and NOTHING. It has been over a year after I purchased a $300 product and I have received nothing, they have not responded to any call, or to any of a dozen emails. So far 0/10 for customer service.

Walked in looking for a unicorn (Mossberg 940 JM PRO). To my surprise, I was told right this way. Not only was I surprised that they had one in stock, but the price was great as well (not at all a price gouge shop). I enjoyed my experience there and will definitely be back. I highly recommend Meaux Guns. Oh yeah, and they had a great selection of ammo as well.

Took my pistol to get the front sights reattached after the previous gunsmiths I took it to (at a different unnamed store) had done a poor job, the workers were extremely helpful and took care of it no time doing a much better job. Had a really cool gun selection although, I was not there for that so I cant really talk on it other than the glance over I had. All together, great service, quick and and helpful. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

It was a nice little gun shop, but the guys said they would order stuff to do a build by putting half down and the balance when it came in. So I proceeded to ask for prices.. and they didnt want to sell me a stripped lower. I asked for a price on a gun build information and they said theyd call the next couple days and never heard anything..kinda went back on their word.. disappointed
Be wary when doing business with Meaux Guns. I purchased 2 items from Joe Meaux at a gun show in Kenner, Louisiana. He said I would be able to receive my purchased items after tax stamps went through. For whatever reason the tax stamps were not approved so I never received the 2 products. I then proceeded to get a refund and he has blatantly ignored my calls for months. When I do finally get in touch with him he says its an accountant error and hell issue the refund right away.... another month goes by no response. At this point the authorities have been notified and Ive hired a legal team to represent me when filing suit against this business. Dont let this happen to you spend your money somewhere else

Very disappointed. I wish we had taken note of the other low reviews on Google prior to bringing our pistol here for machine work, because unfortunately our experience turned out to be very similar to what others have reviewed. We simply needed two holes drilled on the bottom of a pistol barrel to install a rail for a light/laser. It seemed that the pricing was reasonable here, and when we dropped off the gun, my husband was impressed that they went looking for a bit immediately and seemed like they might even be able to install the rail on the spot! They came back up and told him they couldn’t do it that day, July 16, but that they should be able to have it done by the next day, Friday, July 17. We had another errand to run in the area on Friday morning, and called to just check in while we were out that way so that we wouldn’t go all the way back home only to receive a call that it was ready. The guy who answered the phone was a bit vague and said they hadn’t gotten to it and didn’t know if they’d get to it that day, but to check back Saturday or Monday. We checked back Monday, July 20 only to have them tell us it probably wouldn’t be ready until Wednesday. Wednesday they rudely told me it would be ready in another day or two. We understand that there are delays and that things come up, but if they had professionally explained from the very beginning that they were behind on work and that it would be a week or two, or even a few weeks, we would have patiently waited. It’s not good business to tell a customer it’ll be ready tomorrow...over and over for a couple of weeks. My husband called Monday, July 27 to express his frustration, and they made it out to be our fault for the delays, saying that if people like us weren’t calling all the time, then they might be able to get things done. My husband tried to ask for a realistic estimate on when they could actually get the work done, and they very unprofessionally told him that he basically needed to just come get the gun, they weren’t going to do the work. I was the one who went in the store to pick it up that Wednesday, July 29, and I don’t know if they were trying to pull one over on me or if it was an honest mistake, but I am VERY glad my husband was in the car when I walked out, because they only gave me the barrel of the gun, not the handle or the bolt. I went back in and they went to the back and gave some vague excuse for why all the parts of the gun were not together. It was a very unprofessional, disappointing experience. Definitely do not recommend anyone going there, especially since we are clearly not the first ones to have an experience almost exactly like this.

Fraudsters! I ordered a zk-22 stock in June 2020...it’s now October 2020 and I have no stock, no communication whatsoever and I’m out $324. These crooks won’t respond to email, voicemail and won’t answer the phone either. The 5 star reviews are all lies to balance all the well deserved one star reviews and to keep their scam going. All “sales” should be considered donations for literally nothing.
Dont order stuff online from here. Theyll take your money and then ignore you. My wife placed an order over a month ago. Got a confirmation email and havent gotten anything since. But of course they took our money. Shes tried getting in contact with them and they havent replied.
Very informed when it comes to basic weapon up keep and overall gun knowledge. They’re also willing to answer any questions for first time weapon buyers. Will visit soon.
One shop stop for everything firearms and silencers. You wont find a more knowledgeable staff in Baton Rouge or the greater South East area. They can take care of brake installs and some jobs while you wait. They also thread barrels. Theyre also a powered by Silencer Shop dealer with a kiosk. I will be going back.
I bought an Aklys lower receiver here for a build project. The quality is outstanding and their lower provides some nice features not found in other lowers. Very happy with my purchase and I will be back to buy another one in the future.
I would not recommend this shop, im not going to bash them, but my experience was not for a return of business.

I ordered a suppressor and applied for a ATF tax stamp through the Silencer shop/Meaux guns at a local gun show a little less than 2 years ago. My stamp was received approved by this store over a year ago and I still havent received my suppressor. Everytime I call to check they tell me a couple weeks. this has been going on for over 6 months. I would be very aprehensive to give this company any money for an item, especially for a suppressor. Im at the point that I beleive my $600+ dollars is gone and will probably have to report them to the ATF at this point. ZERO stars
This place is a joke!!! They actually tried to sell me a box of 20 Winchester, 308 rounds for 75 dollars!!! Worse price gouge attempt ever..
I was initially impressed with the great pricing but my enthusiasm was quickly diminished. I dropped off a striped down Mosin barrel and chamber on 3/18/20 to have a little bit of machine work and 1 color Cerakote performed (machine work consisted of boring the muzzle brake to the correct caliber, tapering the muzzle brake to the barrel, and little clean up where 3 holes were drilled and tapped in the receiver). I was told initially that they were backed up and it would take 4 to 6 weeks which was no problem. They told me it would be $175.00 for everything and I immediately paid $180 in cash, (due to lack of change), and I was happy with doing so.Fast forward 4 weeks, I called on 4/17/20 to see if it was too late to change the color of the Cerakote in which they informed me that it wouldn’t be a problem because they had to put in an order anyway. I inquired about the progress of their work load and they informed me that it should be at the end of the 6 week period for completion. I completely understood and was ok with it due that I scheduled not to have it before 6 weeks anyway.I called again on 5/3/20 to inquire about the progress and they said that they were just getting to the backlog and it should be a few more days to get it done. I completely understood because I understand how shops can get backed up and deadlines sometimes cannot be met.I went by the shop on 5/23/20 because I haven’t heard a thing. I wanted to get a refund because they have not touched it. They told me that if I left it with them 1 more week they would complete it. We came to an agreement that if they did the machine work that day, so I could pick it up, they could keep the price I paid to have the Cerakote done and not coat it. I got a call that afternoon and they told me that all they had left was to taper the muzzle brake but the machinist left for the day. They informed me that my barrel was chucked in the lathe and will be complete before noon on Monday 5/25/20. I agreed I would pick it up then.Monday 5/25/20, I swung by the shop at 12:30 to pick up my Mosin and I was informed that THEY HAVE NOT TOUCHED IT YET. He brought the barrel to me and it wasn’t even in the lathe. He told me that I can leave it with them a few more days to get it done or get a refund. I got the refund.This is some of the worst customer service I have ever seen. I would have much more respect for the business if they would be completely honest and quit the lying. In my experience, they are great if you want to store your weapon at their location for 10 ½ weeks but I can’t comment on the quality of the work because I have yet to see any work.

I paid Joe Meaux, the owner for my suppressor on 09/02/2018. The ATF approved the transfer stamp on 08/02/2019. Dennis Clements, the business manager acknowledged receiving the transfer stamp on 01/13/2020. I was given the suppressor on 10/29/2020.

Spoiler Alert!!! Will moved a couple doors down on the same street. Much bigger place and the building is nicer then the old one. GREAT job on the new location. For those reviewers that think Will doesnt know guns, its obvious that they have little to no experience with firearms. He may not be a GREAT business man but Will definitely knows guns. This is coming from someone with over 2 decades of firearms experience.

Poor customer service. I had them cerakote a Sig for me and install new springs. Told me it would take 30 days. After 60 days I called them to ask about it and apparently had been completed 3 weeks prior.
Ordered a drop-in ZK-22 stock in November 2013. It was supposed to be delivered in early February, 2014. It did not arrive.I spent most of 2014 trying to call and write to them about it, and FINALLY got a hold of someone in NOVEMBER 2014. He told me they had some difficulties, and that I would receive my stock in either December 2014 or January 2015...Well, it is now FEBRUARY 2015, and I have STILL not received it. It seems now that we are also back to the cant get anyone on the phone cycle again as well, as I have been trying to call them for the past week, and only ever get the answering machine.I honestly cant see how this company has 5 stars on Google. With their negligence and lack of customer service, anything over ONE star is a flipping miracle. Are they allowed to delete their reviews here?
Honest review: Ordered a zk-22 bullpup stock from Aklys on april 18th after it said it was in stock on their site. After reading bad reviews called to confirm and was told they actually had sold that stock out and another one was coming in following week. Once that batch did arrive it was shipped out the next day. Didnt have any issues with reaching someone at store, Dennis is the man you want to talk to if youre concerned over an order. Looks like all those not getting orders are from the red jacket days. Only complaint is the site could do a better job at showing if items are actually in stock on the shelve.Also love the stock, does take some patience screwing together but it is a thicker and sturdier material than the pictures make it out to be, is actually a little bit heavy feeling which is good.Would do business with them again, may need to order and build another zk-22 in future.
Im trying to figure out who the owner is and why Red Jacket is now called Meaux Guns?I havent purchased any products from Red Jacket or had any interaction with Owner or staff so I cant comment on them. Not sure what to make of the changes or why?
Payment of 299 dollars taken out of my account over a year ago for a ZK-22 stock. Still have no stock and they tell me it could be another six months before I get my order (from another company no less). Lets hope they give me a full refund. Would advise against dealing with them at all costs. I really want to love this company and support them after the Will Hayden fiasco but I am fed up. You know the company is bad when you have to call consumer protection at your states Attorney Generals office.

Don’t ever do business here. I was suppose to build a .300 blackout and they told me it would take no more than two weeks for the parts to come in. I’ve been waiting more than a month for my lower receiver to come in.
I placed on order for the Aklys Defense ZK-22 drop-in stock kit on 3 July 2017. I have been excited to have one of these stocks and even a few years ago purchased a standard Ruger 10/22 specifically to use when I was able to get one. I waited until I thought that all the kinks had been worked out from the fiasco with Red Jacket a few years back. I paid in full when I ordered so I could receive the stock within a weeks time per the website. Fast forward and its now over three months later. I have called and emailed several times. Only once did I receive a return email. I have actually gotten through three times on the phone. Each time I was assured the parts they are missing are on their way and should have the stock within in a weeks time. Today I did a little digging around and it seems that this company should discontinue or sell the rights to produce the ZK-22 stock due to their lack of being able to produce this product to the consumer. They will take your money though. Even if they had the perfect and best product for any future needs I may have I will never order from them again. The total lack of customer service is unexceptionable. I run a small business and if I treated my customers the way they have outright lied and now completely ignored me I wouldnt have a business for very long. I also have seen some people try to say to ignore the bad reviews. These are either friends and family or the people that work at Aklys. The one thing I can say that I see Aklys does consistently is let down people that try and order the ZK-22 stock. BZ for that! lol If I could give a zero star rating I would.

$299 charged to my credit card over three and a half years ago for a ZK-22 stock. Emails state I will have my stock in a couple months, that was 18 months ago. Now all emails and calls go unanswered. Horrible business people. I guess now that most of them are in jail none of us will ever get our product or a refund.
I dont believe the charges will has against him. I still dont like chris hes a joke. Joe is great but I quit watching after vince got fired and Chris put in charge. How could he go from no nothing to forman of the shop. No wonder sales dropped along with the ratings. When the ratings are up so are the sales. Get rid of Chris and get Vincent back and the show and sale will be back. Chris killed the show
I work in pipeline inspection I was driving from west Virginia back too Houston Texas from a job. I put red jacket in the gps too stop by and take pics of the company logo in front of one of my all time favorite tv shows ever. I stopped by and believe it or not while out front will and Joe came out had a small talk conversation with these guys... Took pics they are the most down too earth Awsome guys Ive ever meet was one of my highlights in my life was ffing cool...
