Price gouging after Hurricane Ida. Cash only, no receipt, and the prices are 50% higher than anywhere else. This place is trash.
You get what you pay for!! This is a clean, safe environment with great food and the best car wash in town!
Last Saturday night they would not sell me any lottery tickets unless I had the exact change. I asked to buy one Lotto, one Powerball, one Mega Millions and one Easy 5, a total of $5.00. The older of the two attendants responded “Exact Change.” This was exactly $5.00 worth of lottery tickets. The only cash that I had was in $20 bills. My only alternative it seemed was to go someplace else, which I did. The Circle K down the street cheerfully handled my transaction. I can’t be sure, but it looked to me like the next customer was having a similar problem. This is not the first difficulty that I have had trying to buy lottery tickets from this retailer. In the past, they have gotten angry at me when I only bought lottery tickets. They have refused to sell me lottery tickets on occasion by telling me that they were too busy. They have told me that their system was not working. They have asked me to go buy something before selling a lottery ticket to me. I have heard them make these types of comments to other patrons.I do not understand why they have lottery tickets for sale there. They do not seem to want to sell them. I suspect that they might have a higher percentage of “lottery only” purchasers. In my opinion the reason for this is their high price. Their gas prices are much higher than others in the area, sometimes 30 cents or more per gallon than other stations. The items inside their store are also priced higher. The rudeness is not limited to lottery purchases. They sometimes fuss at you about how you use the drink machines, or which straw you have picked or how many napkins you have taken. Once I was told to hurry up and buy something because I was taking too long. At the time I think I was the only person in the store. I was hungry for something and was just having difficulty deciding.Remember the Seinfeld “Soup Nazi?” Well this guy is the “Lottery Nazi” in my opinion. Their rudeness has pushed me beyond my personal line of dignity to the point of alienation. They have lost my business but this may be able to help other members of the public.
Big fan of this store, really convineiet for me. I love paying 30 cents more per gallon than anywhere else. I love how everyone expects exact change even for prices like 3 dollars and 44 cents. I love how no one speaks native English. I love how the manager felt compelled to give the store a 5 star review to rise it above an average of 2. I love how cheap the Icees are, no one complains about the Icees!
Consistently 30-40 cents more per gallon. No thanks.
Why would any reasonable human being pay upwards of 30 cents more per-gallon of gas than any other station in town? I can drive roughly a mile in either direction and save $10 on a fill-up. Is the Bocage Bourgeois so blinded by their own wealth that they gladly fill up while stuffing their faces with fresh Chicken Salad from Calvins?Wake up sheeple.
Gas is $.80 more per gallon than everywhere else in Baton Rouge. Consistently the worst gas station in Baton Rouge. The Kolache Kitchen and Bocage Auto Spa are the only redeeming factors. I would avoid at all costs.
They forgot to put items in the bag when I returned the manager refused to look at the surveillance film. He was rude. Go elsewhere.
Its a rat infested place, store Manager is very rude, have out of date items on the shelf . I wouldnt recommend this place to anybody just bad over all.
