I love this care provider. The front staff is so friendly and personable. I was early for my appt and I was in and out in about 30minutes. Testing is quick and painless, they have all the latest technology (I hate having my eyes dilated and they have an option for pictures instead) and the staff made me feel very comfortable. Dr. Carlin is caring and knowledgeable. He answered all my questions and helped me find a brand of contacts that don’t bother my eyes (something I’ve struggled with for years). Glasses selection is excellent and the turnaround on frames was perfect for my needs. I’d highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for an eye doctor!

I highly recommend this place to everyone!!! From start to finish the entire visit could not have gone better. The doctor went above and beyond explaining so many different things that other eye doctors do not ever care to tell you about. They care about you and the health of your eyes. I was fitted for contact lenses for the first time and the help I received from the lovely assistant was enjoyable. The doctor examined my eyes even after I inserted the contacts and made sure they fit my eyes correctly and was able to achieve the best vision possible. I also purchased a pair of glasses as a back up when I am not wearing contacts and the optician(who was so very patient with me as I am terrible at making choices) helped me pick out frames that fit my face correctly! The front desk was a huge help as well & especially with explaining fees to me before my visit. Everyone is so friendly and helpful with smiles on their faces. They really seem to have such a pleasant & fun work environment! If you are looking for a new eye doctor, THIS IS THE PLACE! Thank yall so much for the unbeatable experience! If you need Scleral contact lenses, dont go to this office. I have keratoconus and wear contacts for 20 years. I started wearing Scleral contact lenses in 2017. So, I am aware of the process. I visited them back and forth for two months and a half to get these contacts fitted. Each time I informed them that the new prescribed contacts are bothering me, I received strange recommendations that hurt my eyes more and gave me bad headaches for a couple of days. The answer each time I heard was that the contacts are giving you good vision!!! They are not only comfortable!!!!! Which optometrist/professional says this!! How can I function when I am in pain!And finally, after being charged out of my pocket for changing and mailing back the wrong contacts, I figured they are incapable of that. They dont have experience in this regard. Whatever they put on their website is a lie!Now, I am having a hard time getting refunded. They refund only the contacts expenses. They dont want to refund the fitting portion because they did this service! It doesnt matter if it was useless, wasted my time, put me in pain, and has been done in a wrong way. This is going to cost me $800 to see another provider. What kind of scam is this?!!

I can not thank Dr Carlin and his wonderful staff enough. We were greeted with kindness from the moment we arrived. It felt as if we had been going there for years, our first visit. Cant say enough about Drs Carlin and Waguespack! Everyone there is incredibly welcoming and accommodating. I went through 3 different pairs of lenses before landing on the Scleral lenses that I have now and love! I can see again! They worked with me every step of the way and made sure I got exactly what I needed in the end. They facilitated all returns of trial lenses and worked with my insurance provider seamlessly.If youre looking for an optometrist in Baton Rouge to help you Scleral lenses to treat Keratoconus, or anything else for that matter, this is the place! 10/10!

I have been to several eye doctors over the years, and always felt like cattle being herded in/out. I took a chance making an appointment here bc I wasn’t familiar with the eye doctors at this facility, and I am so glad I did. What an amazing experience. They call you by name and really take time understanding your issues. The doctor spend an hour with me, going over all my test results and making sure my prescription was right ( I have a lot of difficult vision issues).

I have been going to see Dr Waguespack for my eye care needs for almost 20 years now and she and her staff have always been amazingly friendly and professional. When my young son was given glasses by one of the big chain vision stores I went to Dr Waguespack for a second opinion and discovered he didnt need the glasses because of his age and the small correction required. Im not going to claim the vision store was just trying to sell more frames but it didnt sit right with me.In summary I enthusiastically recommend Dr Waguespack if you want an expert diagnosis for you and your family.

Dr. Waguespack and her team are very thorough. While they are very quick, you dont feel like they are rushing you to get to the next patient. You get a comprehensive and thorough conversation regarding the reason for your visit. I have been a patient for years and the team has always been friendly and competent. For the better part of a decade (the entire time Ive been a patient), Ive never had a bad experience.

Dr. Carlin is very patient and informative. Ive only been wearing glasses for about two years, but Ive had several doctors. He is by far the best at explaining what is wrong and making sure that you understand the plan and why your prescription may be changing.

Improvement is needed with practicing physical distancing.. Two many people are permitted in the waiting room. Suggestion, only one person at a time should be allowed to wait in the waiting room .. Others should remain in their cars. and call to come in as way to reduce the number of people in the waiting room. But the service from the doctor and staff was fantastic.

I left her office knowing more about my vision in one visit than all the combined visits from previous optometrists. I shop around for my healthcare - not based solely on price, but on service. I can stop looking for an optometrist. Ive found a great one in Dr. Waguespack.

Dr. Waguespack’s office was so great! I contacted them after a month-long struggle trying to get trial contact lenses after a horrible rushed exam at Target Optical. Everybody in the office could not have been sweeter. They got me in fast, easily completed the Optomap portion of the exam that had been such a struggle at Target, listened carefully to my needs, handed me a perfect pair of trial lenses (Dr. Waguespack knew the exact brand to replicate the feel of my now discontinued diameter and base curve combo) as well as written contact lens and glasses prescriptions, a goody bag with plenty of free solution and drops, and some trial colored contacts to play with that I’d always wanted to check out. They ordered me a backup pair of lenses that arrived in under a week. Ditching Target Optical for this office honestly felt like breaking up with an abusive partner one day and falling in love with someone wonderful the next. I floated out of there completely happy and can’t recommend them highly enough!!!

Something thats never happened to me before.The choices for frames were varied and had brands like Coach, Calvin Klein, and Ferragamo. I chose for my frames a teal Coach one.

Best eye exam Ive ever had in my entire life of 62 years.

My wife submitted our insurance to Wendys office on Thursday (2/7/19), and she had a 4:15 appt today (Monday, 2/11/19). My wife went through the tests just to have the Doctor tell us that her glasses and contacts are not covered by insurance anymore. The appointment costs us time and money. They should have never charged us without knowing whether or not her lenses were covered, as we are not prepared to pay 4-$500 out of pocket for glasses or contacts. I highly doubt they just found out at the very last minute. Sounds to me like they never checked with our insurance company. The appointment was a complete waste.

My husband lost his peripheral vision due to a tumor and the craniotomy to remove it. We were referred to Dr Waguespack because of her low vision experience. Dr Waguespack did a thorough examination and suggested we order a prism glass kit to try to enhance what vision he does have, with the stretch hope he can drive again.We returned in 2 weeks and the team attached the temporary prism kit to his existing glasses. We’ll now try wearing those for a couple weeks, return, and decide if we want to order the permanent prism glasses. The temporary prism glasses will give him a 17 degree improvement to vision range, permanent up to 30 degree (75% increase) if we opt to order those.The staff was wonderful!
