I usually go here once every year or so. Always an eye opening experience when I go and the staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. My friend and I went in right before closing and they still have a world class experience.

Love this shop. Staff is super nice and helpful. Always have our pull box order ready and will set aside comics per your request. Great prices and excellent selection. Monthly sale is alway great to get to meet other comic book readers. Tons of cool toys and trading cards also in stock.

Positives: Place deserves 5 stars just on their magic the gathering collection alone. Their prices are very reasonable. Staff is super nice/helpful. Store is well maintained.Negatives: I really enjoy playing TCGs(trading card games). With that being said I guess the lack of other TCGs outside of magic could be a negative. This is more of a personal preference than a negative.Louisiana Double Play has a lot going on in the way of comic books, trading cards, and collectables. When ever I am in BR I make it a point to visit Louisiana Double Play.Thats why I am giving them 5 Jurassic Park mosquitoes trapped in amber out of 5 Jurassic Park mosquitoes.

Decent pricing on comic book supplies. A wide variety of memorabilia and comic related things. Layout is a little cramped but full of everything for a shop its size. Probably your best bet for any needs in the capital area.

There is not a better place to go, the gentleman with the ponytail who usually works there, I forget his name, LITERALLY EVERYTHING HE RECOMMENDED I HAVE LOVED. This is TRULY a comic shop... I hope they never close. Folks need knowledge & service like this.

Police generally helpful staff workers, theres a stock of magic the gathering, including older fat packs, just a lot of packs in general. Its definitely a comic shop though. Its a place to pick up you hobby, but there specialty is comics. Not my love personally, but its still a fantastic establishment.

Really nice place with a wide selection. All the new books and a large selection of back issues. They also have a large variety of graphic novels. If youve been collecting for a while or just getting into it, they have something for you.

I went for sports cards. Found a really good selection of older packs/boxes and new stuff. Fair prices on everything that I saw and the guy working the counter was super friendly with everyone who came in.

If youre looking for comics in and of itself great place, huge selection. I was looking for manga. I called ahead and asked if they carried it they said yes small selection. Its very small like less than 10 options. Other than that great place with a cool atmosphere

Place seems okay, except they charge scalper prices for all of their Pokémon cards. $60 box in this store will cost you $150. Save yourself the trouble and buy somewhere else or online for Pokémon cards. Don’t encourage these scalper prices.

Literally every comic and graphic novel is plastic wrapped. I get that they don’t want people camping out and reading everything for free. However, not being able to quickly look and see if I liked the artwork or could be interested by the story make it impossible for me to commit to buying anything.

Highly enjoy this shop. They have comics, game and trade cards, and a few collectible toys. Im not a super hero fan, yet still find a ton of great reads. They can definitely guide you to some enjoyable reading material if you are looking for something new.

Amazing collection available for sale. Theres so much I could spend hours browsing wishing I had the funds available for everything I want to purchase. New issues in weekly. Loads of backstock from many publishers. Staff is helpful when called upon.

The man who works here is super friendly and always willing to talk about comic books. The store also has a very wide variety of cards, comics, statues, etc. For any comic book lovers in the area I definitly suggest coming here instead of places like Barnes n Noble. My only problem is the the store does not seem clean but this could be due to how old the place is and that with the way it is organized it can be overwelming to new customers. Friendly, knowledgeable, and more than willing to answer questions and help you out. They have a really large range of Magic booster packs, and older Magic: The Gathering items, too.

My friend took me here for his Wonder Woman obsession, and I found a couple of comic that I like. I got avengers infinity guanlet, guardian of the galaxy, and Deadpool comics. They also have some trading cards stuffs but they are really over price unlike other trading cards shops. Anyway, I recommend here for your latest comic books obsession.

Management is significantly​ subpar. Recommendations from staff are literally shoved in your hand expecting you to buy them all off of peer pressure. Youll hear, If you dont​ like it bring it back for store credit very frequently as they load you down with other terrible recommendations. Very off-putting sales tactic.Also, real collectors stay away since anything of value they have sold off long ago or it has fallen​ into the owners personal collection.If you are expecting to browse around peacefully without being harassed to buy something well think again. Youll be engaged with at first then as your browsing the staff will pressure you to make a selection or leave ( all within a span of 15 minutes or less ) so make sure to grab and go. This is not a friendly store.Finally, the clerk behind the counter with a black-eye has terrible social skills. Avoid him if you plan on making a run here. Their silver age comics they sell are all junk and in bad condition and most of their more expensive items have quality issues as well. Make sure to check online before supporting a store with questionable practices.There are better comic book shops in Slidell ( and other areas ) and I will gladly go out of my way to take a trip down there for a healthy experience.​

They never have any comics my GirlFriend looks for. We even had ordered one or two and never got a call verifing it came in. We called 2 times and was assured it would come in. We called 2 times once the day it was suppose to arrive and again 5 days laters. So we went to the store and they didnt have anything about us nor had The comics we were looking for. We go to Metairie next door to the Lakeside Mall that place is most helpfull

A great well organized comic shop I visit when Im in town once a year and the experience is always plesent. Very helpful and friendly staff which can be hard to come by especially by someone who is a Newby to comics. Definitely the best comic and collectible shop in the Baton Rouge area.

Chill place, good selection of comics 💭, nice guy that works there (isnt on top of you). The only drawback is the location, its a pain in the ass to pull into in the afternoon or noon on weekdays.

The guy working was very helpful and knowledgeable. If they didnt have something, they would order it.
