Im still kind of saddened that one of the previous burritos was taken off of the menu. It had a cheesy type of sauce. The newer pork belly has a spicy sauce, but I do not get the spicy sauce because I do not care for very spicy food. The egg and pico was excellent. The sangria donut glaze was excellent. The sugar Orange Peel was excellent. I find that the donut had a peculiar flavor, and was very dry, and dense.
Neat little place, food is good, atmosphere is modern but laid back. Service was friendly. My only issue is there is a severe lack of food safety. The cooking/prep area is open viewing. I watched the grill cook making an order, including handling raw eggs and bacon. He made the entire order without changing his gloves (though he did wipe them off on a filthy counter wiping rag). I watched him grabbing a handful of pico/salsa from a large bowl, shake the excess juice into the bowl then add that to the food he was preparing. Hopefully, theyll train better. I sent a message to the manager about it, but that was ignored.
Hey yall. So we took a chance on this breakfast spot at town center, by the Whole Foods and velvet cactus, and...I’m sometimes prone to hyperbole, but bear with me. Their chicken honey butter biscuit was hands down, no holds barred, the most delicious thing Ive ever had the distinct pleasure of gracing my taste buds with. If I had to choose anything for my last meal, it would be that sandwich. Every other chicken sandwich Ive ever invested tastes like sawdust compared to it. Anyways, 5/5 I will definitely be back
The food tastes great--especially the doughnuts--but the service is sometimes iffy. Like yesterday, they ran out of biscuits, but the manager insisted that people could order biscuits anyway; people ended up waiting 20 minutes for a breakfast sandwich. The lady next to me had been waiting for 25 minutes for a drink: she ended up having to notify staff twice that her order hadnt been fulfilled--both times the staff member said theyd get right on her order, but it took talking to the manager to actually get her drink. Also, their orange juice is actually satsuma juice, and boy is it intense! Its probably the only thing on the menu I would drink as their coffee drinks...well, something tastes off about them.
Creative and carefully crafted pillows of dough laden with a dazzling blend of toppings will make you rethink everything you thought you knew about donuts. After one of the pleasant folks behind the counter takes our order theres a brief wait where we can admire the atmosphere with its industrial chic flair and wonder about the whole sliders and brew part of the menu. But, its hard to imagine going in for anything but one of their artisnal coliseum of calories.
I really like the donuts and breakfast foods. If youre looking for great coffee though there are lots of better options in Baton Rouge (Reve, City Roots, Magpie, Lighthouse, French Truck). I enjoyed their coffee when they first opened this location, but the quality of the coffee and the knowledge/skill levels of the baristas has declined. When I ask questions about the coffees they seem dumbfounded.I really like this place as a concept and its a Louisiana business, so I want it to do well. The food is good. If they could just do better on the coffee side of things I would enjoy it much more.
This is the best donut and coffee shop! We drive 35 minutes to get donuts from here. The menu changes everyday, with some donuts being staples. I love that they offer a gluten free option...and it is good!! My kids always like to try different ones and are never disappointed. The service is really good...very friendly staff. Coffee, yes!! Treat yourself...and often!!
The biscuit for the bacon egg and cheese biscuit was excellent. So was the egg. The bacon was a bit soggy for me.The pork belly bacon for the breakfast taco was a little over cooked for me. The tortilla was excellent. The egg and onion was excellent as well.We took the food togo. Some of the chairs are not comfortable, and some are not that sturdy because they have 3 feet not 4. I do not care for the fountain drinks there. They are not coke or Pepsi products. The cola tasted funny last time I tried it.
The best sliders! The breakfast biscuit is to dies for. Cant go wrongThe staff are great tooNever had a problem with this place
The iced coffee and gluten free doughnuts were awesome. Super friendly staff and local Louisiana family business. Worth the coffee and a snack if in the Baton Rouge area.
Ear your heart out Starcucks. There is absolutely no where else in Baton Rouge that makes a better cup of Joe.
Bought two donuts that went straight into trash. They tasted like they were fried in old grease. It was about 10:30 am. They should have had fresh donuts at that time.
My office and I ordered through UberEats breakfast at District Donuts. The food was delivered and we were missing one kolache and a coffee. I called the store and they were very dismissive. I got put with the manager who was like Oh yeah well we got busy so we probably missed some stuff. If you want a refund you have to go through UberEats support. Thats your response??? I wanted my food. We went through support and got our refund, no big deal. The fact that the manager was just super casual and dismissive and didnt even try to resolve the problem is whats really upsetting.
Took my girlfriend there. Coffee and donuts were equally impressive. Staff very friendly.
On a search for a new Doughnut place because Krispy Kreme has been stripped away.... sigh :(These Doughnuts are quite artisanal and sort of pricey. Yet delicious. The taste is not very sweet. Very little glaze. The texture is super dense with slight air pockets!I paid $4.40 for one glazed doughnut and a fountain drink! Sheesh!Overall cool place. Delicious yet pricey doughnuts.
They use to be great but the last few times Ive been the cinnamon rolls and donuts have been dry, like day old dry. Im hoping I happened to pick bad days and things will be better next time.
This is easily one of my favorite places to eat in Baton Rouge. The sliders and waffle fries are amazing. Theres always a new selection of creative and delicious donuts every day. And the Vietnamese Ice Coffee is always the perfect pick-me-up. The best.
Excellent service, the young man at the counter was unbelievably helpful, patient and accommodating..good coffee, kolache and of course donuts!!
I got a simple glazed donut and it was okay, but honestly, Mary Lees or Krispy Kremes are better and less expensive. The iced latte was pricey and tasted bitter.
I was having a trainwreck morning. Single mom, 3 small kids, 2 hours of sleep, but the kids were being good so I decided to get them a treat. When we got there, I was spacing out at the register. None of my gears were turning. Yall. The man behind the counter was so sweet and patient through it all. He even brought cream and sugar to the table for my coffee because I was boxed in by my daughters. There are no words for how a little kindness helped me out so much. The doughnuts were delicious, too. My oldest two ate all their chocolate sprinkled doughnuts and each gave two thumbs up, and I had the berries and cream, which was amazing. My 1 year old only wanted the berries, but I would call that a win.
I love this location food and coffee are amazing great customer service, and the management team here is absolutely magnificent. Matt and Paige are always very welcoming and friendly. I recommend this location to everyone.
I got the berries and cream donut and it was super sweet and messy. Not a eat in the go kind of place but still good!
Its the cool kids spot and for good reason
Love the brown butter drop and the gluten less drops. Not a fan of plain glazed or chocolate donuts.
Ive been many times, mainly for breakfast. I love the eggs and cheese biscuit.....Best thing going!!
So bad for you but SOOO good! Had the best chicken biscuit and coffee! Can’t wait to return on our next trip to Louisiana!
Donuts not good cinnamon rolls are very good ...chicken biscuit well the biscuit is good the chicken can be upgraded
Couldn’t say enough great things about this place! Great food and every single person who works their is kind and friendly. They take the time and effort to remember their return customers name and order and truly deliver a great customer experience. Other businesses should definitely take some notes from these guys!
The manager was not knowledgeable when I asked for help with the website. I finally figured it out . When my order arrived the burger was still raw in the middle. I called the Store back to back seven times and they picked up the phone and hung it up and would not speak. I will never order again, first and last time. Very disappointed in the whole experience. I took a photo of the burger but I don’t know how to post it.
I got two dozen doughnuts, glazed and chocolate, and a cinnamon roll for $60. The cinnamon roll is good but the doughnuts were very poor to say the least. Kind of like store bought but worse. Mary Lee, Krispy Kreme or any other doughnut place would be half as much by price and double the quality of District Donuts. This was really disappointing.
Excellent service. Nothing stands out about any of the foods we tried though.
Best coffee. Gotta gotta capp.
I feel like the food quality has gone down.
Has the feel of the local small town coffee shop that caters to the more free thinking crowd
The chicken biscuit was amazing. It was my wife and Is first time here. Definitely will back
Simply delicious! Highly recommend if looking to trying something new or different in BR.We even had a order pickup misunderstanding & JAKE, at the TOWNE CENTER location, took such good care of us.
So this is a tough one. Been there 3 times and each time had wins and challenges. Biggest wins are friendly staff and yummy food. The crispy chicken sandwich was off the hook. Coffee was good not great. On the challenges, the wait times can be a bit extreme... 20 mins for a cup of coffee? And several times there has been an issue with amount charged vs menu. Also the donuts arent that great! :/ kind of single note sweet and fatty. With some tightening up this place could be a Rockstar but too many issues to make it one of my go-to places.
Awful customer service. Placed an order and when I got there to pick up it had been cancelled because they had sold out. The next day I call to see when I can come pick up they tell me a certain time and I show up 5 min early to ensure I get them only to be told they had stopped baking for the day and I should place an order to make sure I get what I need.
Very cool spot, everything looks amazing
The food is delicious! We tried it a few days ago and the double cheeseburger was great as well as the service. We came back today and got breakfast. The honey chicken breakfast sandwich is to die for, as well as the Arnold Palmer! The guy who brought us our food to the truck even remembered us from the previous time we came!! Great service and even better food!!
Great donut options! Sliders are so good.
Biscuits are killer! Everything outside of the Donut is great! Donuts are very unique
Not your grand dads donut! These are a work of art!
Over priced and unwelcoming to Us. Stale donuts at that. Maybe it was because it was later in the evening. Either way; wont return.
They should take solid brick cinnamon rolls off their menu. The general public prefers softer textured cinnamon rolls.
Very good service from staff
Way too good!!! Open late everyday. Serves really good sandwiches and the donuts are incredible. 1 is so big that I couldn’t even try for 2. My wife and I was h get 1 and split it together. A New Orleans original.
LOVE. THIS. PLACE. AND THEIR STAFF.The workers are so nice here and really care about what they make and serve. The staff has even gotten to know my name and it leaves a wonderful impression. These are great people. Great customer service and superior taste in food. They change the donuts every week so its nice to try something new. Yes, as fantastic as this place is, it can get busy and youll have to wait maybe 15 minutes possibly 20 minutes at the most but thats when they are slammed. From the tasty lattes with cool artwork and the amazinnnnnggg burgers/sandwiches they make, this place is a must if youre in the area.
Love the sliders and all sweets on the menu.
I decided to give this place a try & it did not go well. The glazed donuts were stale and the chocolate on the chocolate chip glazed donuts was runny. This was a total waste of time and money.
Great place and great people
Super good but I’m a fruity person and they never have any fruity flavors really. Wish they had more because the sweet donuts are too rich for me and when they do have fruity donuts- they’re delicious oh and so is the blueberry soda.
I wanted to love this place. Its a great idea if youre super hip & think you need to be in on all of the trends, but the food isnt great. My eggs were undercooked...the donuts were very doughy-- my kids wouldnt eat their food, which LOOKED beautiful and appealing. I repeat KIDS WOULDNT EAT THE DONUTS.....I wouldnt go again. Im not cool enough to sacrifice taste for hipness.
Making burgers, frying donuts and chicken = the Lords work. Bless their soul.
The food isnt bad really. But Im not entirely sure why everyone loses their mind over this place. Its not awful, the service is quite nice. Ill give them that. But to be honest with you, the donuts are all bread. For the price, I expect a bit more. To me, donuts should have a better balance and not so dry. The milk is from a local Louisiana dairy so thats great! Its fun to have wild toppings I guess but it gets old. Hopefully the designer donut trend dies a hard death sooner than later.
Donut prices are too high each. The donuts were dry to my taste. 🍩🍩🍩
Food and donuts are delicious here. Price is a bit on the high side compared to other donut shops but you pay for quality.
Decided to give this place a shot. Just WOW. Ordered two Bacon Egg & Cheese biscuits for my son and myself. Hands down the best breakfast sandwich in town. Will be back. Delicious.
Ordered breakfast for a large group. Returned for lunch and got a burger. Everything was outstanding! Customer service was beyond expectations and Ms. Rose killed that biscuit and burger. I will def be back when Im in town again.
District has been a favorite stop of mine anytime I am in New Orleans, and now I can enjoy it more often! Great location with ample parking and easy access from the main roads. Plenty of seating indoors and out. Quick service even on their third day open with a line wrapping inside and leading out the door we were served within 15 minutes. The donuts are unique and not what most people think of (far from being chocolate frosted sugar bombs). There is a good balance of sweet, savory, and a kick of flavor in every bite.Coffee is freshly crafted before your eyes, and quite beautifully I may add. My personal favorite is the cold brew on tap. All the flavor you want from coffee with no bitterness. A perfect pair with the sweet of your donut.*Have not had sliders or breakfast sandwiches yet, will update once I do*
Excellent customer service and even tastier food! They certainly go above and beyond to ensure their customers are always satisfied and happy! Simply lovely.
It’s good. Just not THAT good. Favorite things here are the coffee, the cinnamon rolls when fresh, and some of their sandwiches and slider.I used to frequent the New Orleans location before moving to Baton Rouge and I just can’t help but feel the food or service here doesn’t quite measure up.Not bad at all worth a try and I’ll probably come back just not as good as it could be.Also the satsumade tasted like vinegar do not recommend.
District Donuts is hands down one of my favorite spots in town. They have the *best* everything: best donuts, best chocolate chip cookie, best iced tea, best burgers. Ive never been disappointed!
I love this place, the food is increadible and creative, the people are friendly, and the facility is clean. Btw burgers here might be the best in town, highly recommend exploring more than just the donuts
Service was STELLAR and the food was absolutely amazing! I had the fried chicken sandwich and I think its about the best Ive ever had. Also got the strawberry basil doughnut which was very unique and tasty, maybe a tad dry. I dont think Ill get the chocolate doughnut again, which hubby didnt care for either, but we cant wait to get our hands on another of their glazed doughnuts! Thats definitely our fav so far and we cant wait to try the other flavors.
Tasty donuts!
The food is amazing! There was a problem with our ticket and they fixed it immediately. They were very friendly and nice. We will definitely be back.
One of my favorite places ever! The donuts are awesome, but so are the sandwiches. If you are there for lunch, the fried chicken sandwich and the burger are game changers. Definitely recommend. They also serve great coffee in a variety of different ways.
