I went to purchase a foam backseat extender to make travel more comfortable for my dogs. Matt was super helpful, he brought it out to my car to ensure it fit well. The store had one( you need one for each side of the car) so he called had another location and had it shipped to me. Great shopping experience.

I came here to get hiking pants. Pants shopping is usually thought for me because I am y’all and skinny, and many pmts don’t fit my frame. However, Ms. Carrie spent time helping me find a few pairs of pants that might fit until I found the right one. At checkout, I was asking her about dog cages when Molly swooped in with a catalogue of dog products ready! They were both very helpful and nice, and they want to make sure customers have a pleasant time and find the right products.

Not a fan... staff can be overbearing and misinformed about things related to fishing and even their company policies. I generally like their gear, but again I’m not a fan of an employee following me around the store trying to up sell me things, I’m not even interested in. They have a website and a killer over the phone customer service line. I’ll be using them from now on if I need anything orvis. On that note there a million companies that are making gear that is just as good a similar or lower prices.

The clothing and staff here are excellent. Along with all the fishing gear. The staff are very knowledgeable and will take the time to teach you the basics of fly fishing along with booking fishing trips. I really like the special events they host in the store and how Orvis gives back to to help fund research to protect nature.

I discovered Orvis about a year ago - I decided to give it a try instead of going to the mall to shop for clothes. The quality of the clothing was excellent, but it was the personal service that I received that really sold me. I enjoy visiting and browsing and taking advantage of all the savings each time I go to Orvis. Alex and Ian and the rest of the staff are very knowledgeable about the clothing, and make great recommendations for me whenever I visit.I am very pleased with Ovis in Baton Rouge, and I recommend giving them a try. You will never step foot in the mall again for clothes.

Staff is friendly and engaging. Quality merchandise at reasonable prices. Good sale items.

Dont stand behind their brand. Licenses Orvis name to Costco who makes inferior products which carry Orvis label but defects are not covered by Orvis.

Clearly the finest Sporting Goods store in Louisiana. This location has a great staff, a wide selection of extremely fine clothing and gear, and is conveniently located near the shops at Perkins Rowe, nice restaurants such as Louisiana Lagniappe and Sweet Wishes Cafe cupcakes.Orvis has a great return policy, but you return much as you discover that the quality of their offerings are second to none. They have the finest fly fishing great anywhere, probably the best selection of fine sporting wear for men and women and some very unique accessories, including pet gear. I wear nothing but Orvis clothing in casual wear, and strongly recommend that you check out this destination point location!
