Folks are always friendly and courteous. My experiences with the service department have been great.
I felt like this team went above and beyond for me in a moment of need.I’d just purchased a used 2015 Subaru Forester (from a Houston dealer) and had put less than 3,000 miles on it (it had about 114k or so miles on it when I bought it) and had taken it on its first real road trip from Houston when the transmission started having issues, pretty much an hour before Id hit Baton Rouge to visit my brother. I had my mother, sister and 9-yr old nephew in tow. We didnt know it then, but the transmission had called it quits. There were funny smells and noises...not good.One of their customer service reps, Ashley, is the sweetest kindest human being -- she helped and reassured me each step of the way and took the extra time to explain the safety features in the loaner vehicle while they looked into what was going on with my SUV. Yes, the transmission was done for. Your team was so kind and thorough that your service manager called and spoke to the Subaru headquarters and even though it was over the 100k extended warranty for the transmission, they agreed to send a new one out, even though it was now about 16k miles past that. I was floored. I could barely believe the generosity and am so grateful to your team and to Subaru for being so kind and helping me out of a tight spot. There were some other repairs, but I only paid a small fraction of it due to the generosity of everyone involved. Even though I was somewhat stranded in Louisiana, everything felt easy, I felt so taken care of, I had a lovely loaner car and your team is just so very nice, some of the nicest people I’ve met in service.Ashley, the one who was helping me as I was trying (somewhat unsuccessfully) not to freak out over the situation, continued to help me as I discovered that the windshield washer fluid tank was cracked when I arrived back in Houston. I have never felt more taken care of and generously assisted, so I wanted to make sure that everyone that was there who assisted in anyway gets a big, heartfelt THANK YOU from me. I am eternally grateful for your team’s professionalism, thoroughness and kindness. I wish I had everyone’s names to thank them directly, but I hope you’ll pass this on and let them know that they’ve made a huge difference in my life, seriously. This was great confirmation to me that being a part of the Subaru family was the right choice. Very happy with the Subaru BR team :)
