My wife and I have been coming here for years. Richard is hands down THE BEST service manager! This man knows his stuff. Richard and his team of mechanics are always friendly and well put together. A few weeks ago My wife had to stop at another VIP (I won’t embarrass them by saying which one) but let’s just say my wife wasn’t buying what they were saying and felt super uncomfortable there. She called me and we got her vehicle home. The next week I brought it to Bath. The Problem was fixed and not only was it a lot less involved then we were previously told but it was fair in price. That is why I am writing this review. You can teach anyone to be a manager but only a few are good at it. Thank you!

We like the VIP in Bath, Maine very much. The staff is courteous and knowledgeable and there is never any confusion about our appoint schedule or scope of work.We purchase our tires there, get our annual inspection and regular oil changes and service.Good stuff.

Extremely professional, knowledgeable and truly strive to meet the needs of their customers. All members of the staff have excellent customer service skills and truly go above and beyond. They are very appreciative of members serving in the military and went above and beyond to renew my state inspection without being asked as they noticed it was due - for no charge. They will certainly have the business of my family and I in the future.

Over the past three days I’ve brought both of my vehicles here, the service was quick and the prices weren’t bad. There was a miss-understanding about the service that I wanted done for my fiancé’s escape, but they worked with me and honored the original price that I was quoted. Will come back.

A quick oil change the man at the desk was very helpful in recommending wiper fluid as well.

Took my car in told me it would take a week until they found an opening, 2 days later went back to grab some stuff from my car and they told me they were about to call me because they finished it ahead of time. Great service!

Employees were pleasant, but I feel like I was ripped off. Keep in mind I bought this car 2 yrs and 10,000 miles ago, it had new tires and brakes.Brought my car in for a flat, oil change and inspection. Told me nail was in the sidewall so I need a new one. Ok, that figures cuz, my luck. Oh, but you need to change both. Ok.Front brakes pads need to be replaced for it to pass inspection. Again, 2 yrs/10,000 miles old.Oh it must be from the car sitting during covid.Now I dont use my car for commuting, but it doesnt just sit there for weeks/months.So I ended up paying $640 for 2 tires, oil change, and front brakes pads. Oh, and they tried to sneak an alignment in, and to give me more expensive tires than I had signed up for.Just seems excessive.Also, they exchange oil changes for reviews. Lets see if they honor this one....

I have been a customer since I moved here a couple of years ago and have always been pleased with their service. All of the crew are courteous and respectful, and most importantly, honest. They are a hard-working bunch and I appreciate what they do.

This was such a great experience.The service was so courteous and friendly and they managed to fit in my headlight replacement on a day when they were otherwise fully booked.I will definitely go back,great job!

Professional, knowledgeable, helpful. The staff at the Bath VIP are fantastic. They dont jerk you around or try to recommend unnecessary work like other shops Ive been to. They tell it like it is and give you print outs of any work that needs to be done whether you have them do it or not. Will be going back whenever needed.

In my opinion someone might come back and give Richard a little adjustment. Apparently you dont know time frames. Probably never had to work in his life, just some fat fat behind a desk.. also never knew they had to take a joyride when they do a front end adjustment

This is a great place with awesome customer service! My wife and I were in town from northern Virginia for our anniversary when I noticed our rear tires were in terrible condition! We needed to get them replaced for our 12+ hour drive home the next day. They got us in and took care of everything no questions asked! In and out!!! I wish I lived in the area so this could be my tire store. Front counter guys were so helpful and treated us great! Happy to give them my service!

The gentleman at this location are very kind, respectful and open communicators about the services they are offering. They have never talk down to me or recommended services that do not need to be done..... unlike some other places that I have visited for service. I highly recommend them if you live in the area.

I have used many VIP locations over the years, this one is close to home, some are closer to my work place, some far from home while travelling. I always have a good experience. Straightforward, affordable and knowledgeable car care. I typically get oil changes and tire rotations, and they can often be scheduled the same day or even on the spot! Great for a busy, working, mom.One opportunity for improvement is for techs to be more careful to not get oil smudges on the seat/steering wheel/floor mats. Although they put the protectant paper on the floor, they should look over the interior before locking up.

I find the employees to be deeply helpful and kind. I have been a return customer for many years now. I have observed them squeeze people in for snow tire changes with little notice, and make sure the job gets done among an already busy schedule all for super reasonable prices.Whenever Ive needed them, theyve been there and with a smile on their faces!Thanks VIP!

I was very happy with the service that I received at VIP. The sales rep was very friendly and courteous and explained everything to me in detail. The mechanic who install the tires did a great job and the tires ride very quiet and smooth. I would recommend VIP to anyone. I went to several other dealers and that size tire had to be ordered. VIP had them in stock so I didnt have to wait. I was in and out of there an hour and a half.

VIP in Bath offers great and honest service. They also handle tough situations with tact and professionalism.They found a problem with my car while putting on new tires for me. They didn’t just tell me about it but actually showed me where it was and answered all my questions about it. They gave me an estimate but didn’t pressure me into getting it fixed. I appreciate the honesty of the guys at VIP and would recommend them to anyone.

I recently came in for an inspection on my F150. Ivan found the rear brake pads to be worn beyond spec. He took the time to show me and recommended replacements. I do a lot of my own work and Rich has been more than helpful. I decided, after planning to do this myself, to come back in and have them do the work. Again they were outstanding in getting me in and doing the work! Rich, Brian, Ivan and Ian are a credit to VIP! Veterans are welcome and rewarded for our service. I have been warned that VIP ‘rips people off’ and other various complaints but the honest service I have received for years here can not be beat. Richard at the desk always accommodates my concerns and needs and is pretty flexible. I know if he is there I will be a happy customer.

VIP in Bath has always done an exceptional job of caring for both my car and I. Whenever I have an issue or am in need of a service, they fit me into their schedule even on their busiest of days. Their pricing is very reasonable as well! Definitely recommend!

After a bad experience there multiple times, the folks there reached out to me and offered to make things right.They handled the issue professionally and made every effort to win back my business. I appreciate the effort and have thus changed my review. A big thanks to Ian and the manager (I can never remember his name :/) for taking care of my automotive needs and for being very professional about it.Will come back to this location in the future.(This was my old review)Visited this location a few times for tires, and first time got very little cooperation from the manager behind the desk. I wanted to shop my options for winter tires, but it was like pulling teeth to get any information. No big deal, so I moved on.Gave them a try again, for balancing 4 tires, and the man (Ian was his name) over the phone was very helpful and gave me a time that worked for me. I called immediately after to reschedule for half hour early, because it work better for me. He noted the time change, and said hed see me at 4:30. When my appointment came, I showed up at 4:15, expecting to wait a little while, for the same manager I dealt with before argued with me that my appointment was still at 5. I told him no, I called to reschedule the same minute, but the manager said my appointment was for 5, and he probably couldnt get to it anyways. No need to argue with me, but the guy on the phone must not have changed the time, and the manager wasnt even willing to work with me. Ive had nothing but lousy service from this place, I do not recommend using them.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The waiting room was clean and comfortable! I had my support animal with me and he was nicely accommodated. The work was performed in a timely manner. Excellent job guys!!

Richard is the man for great service! I met him towards the end of the day, he was happy to show me several tires, even pulling them from the back. The installation was completely painless, as he set up my appointment on the spot and even called me when the job was done. I am busy in my work, so I was happy that I did not have to hound him for an update. Will be returning for future work!

I really Appreciate the workers and the quality of work the VIP, Bath does on my vehicle. I call to make an appointment or call because I have a problem with my vehicle, Ian and Richard always get me in ASAP! They do the work most times under the estimated price! Always courteous and very informed about the vehicles! And the mechanics in the back are excellent! If they find a problem, they come out and explain what they have found. They will often take me out and show me the issue. Always courteous and give me a time and cost estimate! I have been using Bath VIP now for 5 years! And I Highly recommend them!!

Prompt courteous service. Had a brake caliper locked up and VIP was able to get me in and service my vehicle on the same day I called. Initially was a little dismayed with the price of replacement parts, but after a conversation with regional manager we were able to come up with a reasonable compromise. Labor rates comparable with other service businesses in the area.

I just want to say that I have been using VIP in Bath maine for about 10 years. There is no other place I will take my car! When I go there not only do I get great service, I also get the best price around! The best part is I never feel like a number, I always feel like they are truly doing what is best for me and my vehicle. Richard and his crew are amazing. I tried everywhere to get my tires changed and even though they were very busy he managed to get me in. During my wait he and John kept saying come on in and were great to watch. As to people complaining about wait maybe get it done earlier because at least they were able to make YOUR vehicle safe. Richard, the manager, is one of the most knowledgable car guys Ive ever met and Ive always had used cars. He is incredibly smart, fair and focuses on getting the car fixed so it works. In a world where people dont do that- Richard is a rare gift. Promote him. Tell your friends. Dont go other places first- Go to the Bath VIP. And their mechanic Ivan is extremely capable, gives 120% every time. Give them big raises. Dont go elsewhere and waste your money. Go see Richard and ask if Ivan will do the mechanical work.

I had an appointment, to get my vehicle inspected, at 9:30 am an unfortunately it wasnt until 10 or a little after that they finally were able to get to it. Reason being was they were having a problem with another vehicle so the mechanic who does the inspection was behind.....once they got to my vehicle the expedited it fairly quickly.. everyone was extremely nice and always let me know what was going on with my vehicle.

It was a busy day. A 1:30 appointment but as you know the season is busy with tires and auto issues. The stems were replaced on my Jeep and I was driving out of the parking lot by 4:45pm. Had a slow leak and needed two tires.john was great. Got me in a few hours before my appointment time. And Ian did a fantastic job. Price was fair, too.

The service department has treated me well for a number of years. Owning 4 cars and running up high mileage - one of my cars has over 366,000 miles and it has been serviced here for the last 200K- I trust Richard and his team to do it right. He is a honest and trustworthy.

Used them once to inspect my sons truck and again to inspect our Volvo. Polite and professional service, they were recommended to me and I would be glad to pass that on to anyone looking for a similar service.

Arranged for a 1:00 appointment to mount 4 brand new tires I supplied, dispose of two of my existing tires and leave me with two of my existing. 45 minutes in they hadnt started the job, and was told it would be done in 45 minutes. By 3:00 no indication of progress.... thats a net total of 2 hours. By 3:15 I checked status; the individual at the counter indicated they should be done... and, magically, my key was actually sitting on the counter. The mechanic did not tell the counter it was complete. Also, the job was to dispose of two tires and leave me with two....when I got to my car, all 4 were in the car, two of which I carried in to them.

I had some overheating issues with my car ...Brian took the time to check my car even on his busy Sunday schedule ...I thought it was the water pump it wasnt ...he didnt try to sell me one offered me a coolant flush which he still squeezed me in for ...I had bad experiences from a different vip in the past but he earned my trust back at this place only reason he didnt get a 5 star thanks again Brian I will defitely be back highly recommend

I dont normally take my car to VIP because it is a chain and I have had bad experiences at other VIP locations, but this place is amazing! They worked really hard for a long time to fix a difficult problem that other mechanics had clearly tried and failed to fix, on a car that I had just bought. I had already brought it to another mechanic who didnt catch the problem. Anyway, the first time, they didnt completely resolve the problem so I brought it back and they spent many hours working on my car for no extra charge.

My appointment was back on 4/11 so, long time between my HHR being fixed & writing this review. I wanted to give the fix a bloody good test drive.To say that my car was in need is an understatement. I was told that it was a danger to continue driving. Believe me, instinctively, I knew that. Normally I take it to the dealer but I am so tired of being put off by them (Im a woman & all us girls knows what THAT means) that I took the advice of a trusted mechanic & put my trust in our local VIP.The dealership has the front desk person relay the problems the mechanic has discovered. At VIP, Doc the actual mechanic - how do I know that he is the actual mechanic you ask? His hands are as mess!! Somehow that gave me great confidence! - comes out & sits down w/you & goes over your cars problems!!! Thanks Doc!! The front end of this car has never been right but IT IS NOW!!!Everyone I dealt with was helpful & courteous. Went out of their way to make sure that I understood what was wrong & what the fix would be. John, the front desk person, did his best to keep the bill reasonable, considering the fixes.I would not have a moments hesitation in recommending the Bath, ME VIP to anyone!Thanks, you guys.L. The service technician were very helpful and went out of there way to get us back on our vacation.

Speaking with the representative at VIP was very helpful and polite. I have had no problems at any VIP locations in the state and would go back for service any time there is a problem with my car.

Three autos now winterized underneath thanks to Richard & Ivans best kept and rarely publicized secret. Ask them & get an estimate. You wont be sorry..

I went to VIP Bath ME to have my brakes done. I had already had a front end alinement at Wiscasset Ford. VIP Said I needed new tierods, new front end alinement, etc. Rear end brake job was going to cost around $1000. They want more than double for parts that I would have to pay at NAPA, plus labor. What a rip off.

My experience at VIP has always been outstanding. Richard and his crew have always been prompt and at their estimate.

They do a great job every time at a great price.

This company said I was too short to drive a car and referred to me in front of my son as a crazy woman.

I went in for an issue with my brakes and was told it would take 2-3 hours, i ended up waiting over 6 hours.Edit: vip responded to this but never answered my email. Also, my brake lights came back on and I took it to another mechanic who said that the brake lines were installed poorly.

My lifted jeep grand Cherokee had massive deathwobble. jerramy put it on the lift. diagnosed it, with some welding and his knowledge and repaired it. aligned it correctly with the lift, which can be tricky from what im told. hit every bump and pot hole for 10 miles and then hit the highway and went down the road straight and true. so when he told me I had a rock solid jeep, now I believe him. thanks man. he diagnosed it on sat. they had the parts. and did the repair on sunday. yes sunday! and in great time. cant thank you enough. special thanks to you jerramy. you the man.
