I havent shopped Jewel-Osco in a little while, just the Deli. They have some new things going on in check-out. I was glad to meet Katie. She was so patient, nice and helpful.Thanks Katie!

Always a great place to shop for groceries. The bakery is the bomb! Lots of deals and good prices on meats and poultry. Clean store and a great selection of products keep us coming back.

My experience today was made great by a cashier named Audrey. She is always upbeat and in a good mood. I always have the good fortune of checking out with her.

The staff are very helpful and the buffet is stellar! I cant recommend a better place to find local sourced items for your kitchen and home. You must try their organic goat and sheeps milk cheeses!

The aisles are clean. The kitchen rivals Whole Foods. Amazing Carrot cake. Always well stocked and local flavors. Shop local.

I bought two rib eyes steaks at this store they cost $42.20 I hope they taste good tomorrow when I cook them

Generally good shopping experience here. Aisles a bit crowded due to stocking of shelve. Seemed like one of the check outs was pretty slow.

Friendly, helpful employees. I like how they are quick to open up another register when lines start to get long. Food staples like milk, butter, eggs etc. are always a good deal. Good store to pickup a dozen or so items rather than visit a larger supermarket further away.

This jewel has no staff its awful. You are forced to self check large purchases with rude monitor since they are too cheap to staff up.

People at this Jewel are always friendly and helpful. So are the pharmacy folks. I live in St Charles but always go back to Batavia Jewel. Produce is fresher.

I felt so terrible for the older cashier woman when she said to me “I really wish people would be more considerate and wear their masks”. The man and his two daughters in front of me had no masks. This woman should not have to be exposed to the individuals who choose not to wear masks. Jewel management should be enforcing the mask mandate to protect their employees. Either refuse to provide service or have a self checkout devoted to the maskholes so their employees can be safe.

Came here to buy my fiance an engagement ring. They never have any jewelery in stock.The upside is they carry a great variety of food items and home upkeep supplies.

Had great customer service from Thomas yesterday. We got the 8 piece fried chicken meal, got home and realized we were charged for the 12 piece meal. Thomas said to come back in and he would refund it for us. We were only expecting the difference but he refunded the whole thing. It was appreciated and we will continue to shop here.

The Jewel Osco in Batavia is alway clean and well stocked. I love that they hire so many special needs people.

Best Jewel in 10 mile radius. Great workers, well stocked, great sales and well maintained. Try the soup in the salad bar, always good.

Very helpful staff and I appreciate their great sales. Produce is always good ( where else do you see rambutan??)and recently there has been more organic produce on sale. Bakery breads are also tasty.

This jewel is convenient for me, so I end up there frequently, often for ice cream. In that aisle, they usually have a two for one sale, so cool. Honestly you could go somewhere else for better prices, but it is pleasant and clean, and the people are moderately nice.

A little pricey during these trying times. But, they are still a union shop as far as I know.. so not that bad.

I enjoy shopping in Jewel they have many specials also enjoyed some of their own brand products like their Signature Select spaghetti sauce so good great value.

Its a grocery store. Like any other that is well run. Nothing remarkable but nothing to complain about.

The rating comes from the fact that they aren’t enforcing the mask rule. I know it’s a touchy subject but come on!

Brighter lighting than a lot of Jewels Ive been in. Full produce section with very fresh produce. Good two for one deals in the meat section. Milk is higher priced here than many stores. Parking lot in good shape but very busy. I have not shopped at a Jewel in years but I may give this one a try.

If my juice is not on the shelf i ask the produce person if they can check in the back for more. Every time they go back get some more for me. Until today the lady in produce doing inventory told me nope they don’t store more juice in the back. Not we are all out but nope they don’t ever have extra in the back. Seems either I misunderstood or she didn’t care to help.

Unfortunately since the store remodeled last year their pricing has consistently gone up. The checkout lanes could use more cashiers to speed up check out. The store does have a nice selection overall. The workers are polite and friendly.

This Jewel-Osco is a true gem. 90% of the time I never have to worry about what I want being out of stock. The people are extremely friendly and the service is superb. Thank you for putting your customers first, wearing smiles and providing quality.

Today was an excellent day for shopping. Many options, so much to choose from. The Deli and Bakery was Extreamly busy. Well worth the wait.

I like to shop for meat in Jewel-Osco. I got 2 pricey T-bone steaks and they were each half price.

Wheres the garlic chicken frozen pizza, the rasberry toaster strudel, or any of the dozen products I used to purchase on a regular basis? I only come here out of convenience these days shopping more and more at Aldi and woodmans.

They seem to have completely changed their brands and I find myself spending way too much time finding the right brand because Im not familiar. And its still more expensive to shop there. Then things got moved around and now I only go when I need to stock up on meats, chicken and fish because they have the good sales.

I only go to jewel when my husband want to get a bucket of wings. Ive never been to jewel in Batavia and got out without an issue. 90% of the time, it will have something to do with a cashier 😧

Takes forever to get out of the store. Teller lines are slow and express lanes are a joke. Customers used to be able to scan their own groceries but I guess Jewel doesnt trust its shoppers any more.

I wanted daffodills...the only availability you had were closed buds...! Not cool for an Irish chick.Otherwise, some great sales...keep it up!

They have great selections and always reasonably priced. I am a vegan and this store has some options I appreciate.

Service was fast, but as someone in retail management, I’m disappointed in the customer service. My husband was super friendly and said hello, but the cashier at the service desk didn’t even say hello back or say anything other then yell to her co worker on how to do something. Also, might want to take the chemicals off the the displays in the deli. That’s a critical on any health audit inspection.

Worst customer service at checkout I have ever experienced. I will not go back. Terrible management.

Their sales are great, like their homemade salsa, parfaits, and fruit bowls. Pop sales are the best. Especially around the holidays.

The Bakery departments new employee was very nice. I feel bad i dont remember her name. My mother and I ordered a birthday cake for my fathers 90th. She took our order and was very nice. When I went to pick up the cake at 5:45 pm the lights were off in the bakery department. I thought oh no how will I get our cake. But the new girl was walking past and saw me. She had her coat and purse but put them down to go get the cake for me. But oh no there was no writing on the cake so she quickly wrote the message on our cake and saved the day!!

Bought some egg salad from here.Made my farts smell like death.Tortured girlfriend until she admitted to knowing who spoiled Avengers: Infinity War for me.10/10 will be back, great customer service and nice people.

I used to love shopping here, the deals on pop are amazing but lately the new manager on the front end is nasty towards the employees and will straight up berate them in front of you especially if you compliment them. I cant spend my money here knowing that employees are being verbally abused and upper management hasnt done anything

Went to the deli got 3 items took the guy almost 30 minutes to slice 3 items. Went home made grilled paninis took a bite to find out he never removed thin layer of plastic from the pepperoni.

The people that work there make it 4 stars! Chris especially. Prices are typically higher than other stores but its close to home.
