We were greeted by Mel himself. I was happy that he had a Dunlap tire for my sons little 50 cc motorcycle. Instead of returning home early we were able to get back out in the dirt and finish our trip. The price and repair time was good. I will not hesitate to bring my next repair here

We had to return a mini bike to a local store ( tractor supply in barstow)and mels offered to help us out with a assessment of the the bike but didnt need it after all ...the store took it back with a full refund....great customer service by both local stores ....thank you mels

Great service. I had a bad carb on my Blaster. Called Mels at 11am and it was ready to go by 12:00pm. My wife was riding 20 minutes later. No problems.

Got stranded in Barstow with a flat tire. Mike helped me out on his day off, which says a lot. I didnt deal too much with the other shop in town, but I did have some contact with them. From what I saw, Mels is not only the more professional choice — its actually the only option in Barstow with a straightforward approach and no scene BS. Recommended.

I went there with a flat tire. They had the tire in stock which surprised the hell out of me. I left their store and 30 miles away my tire went flat due to the fact of my rims not the tire they gave me. The owner of the store came out with a truck a trailer and picked me up and is currently fixing my tire. Unbelievably great service and would reccomebd them to anyone!!!!

Had my 07 Suzuki GSX-R 1000 towed to Mels Motorsports after getting a chain installed at a different motorcycle shop (in Barstow). The other shop was unable to get my bike running correctly again after approximately 3 hours of trying.I called Mels Motorsports and talked to Mel. I explained the situation to him at which he totally took on the challenge.Mel and his mechanic (forgot mechanics name, young skinny kid) who were both very courteous (gave me a free bottled water while i waited!), diagnosed the issue, fixed it, and got me back on the road to Los Angeles in less than 30 minutes!!! (turns out the OTHER shop didnt bleed the hydraulic clutch correctly after they removed some plate and clutch linkage)Next time i roll through or in the area Barstow, Mels Motorsports is DEFINITELY the GO TO shop for me!
