Do not recommend having your vehicle serviced at this dealership, working with their service department is a waste of time. Twice in the last three months, our family has attempted to have vehicles serviced here. Both times, the dealership has failed to perform the requested service because they failed to order the correct parts and lied about service times. This was after promising service would be done in 2-4 hours upon making the original appointments. One time, they called trying to double our charge once the vehicle was in for service. We were looking forward to having a local reliable dealership work on our cars but no longer trust our vehicles with Montpelier Volkswagen, or Capital City Imports Volkswagen/Mazda. On top of that, I tried to get contact information to share our experience through their Facebook page and got an emoji as a response. Highly unprofessional.

My wife and I have bought and had cars serviced here for years. After yesterdays treatment that has come to an end. My wifes Jetta we bought a year or so ago experienced a flat tire in front of the dealership. She pulled over onto their lot. She asked for assistance and was told to call a wrecker. The service person never got out of his chair or even seemed to care that a long time customer had an issue with her car. From now on we will never deal with another dealership under the same ownership as this one. Completely horrible customer service.

I am a bit late writing my review. I cannot say enough good things about our experience here. No hard sells, no pushy sales reps, no up sells. We were encouraged to take the vehicle for not only a test drive but to take it home overnight. That sealed the deal for us. We are now the proud owners of a VW Tiguan. Pretentious and Worst customer service ever. I gave the 2 stars because at least they did the work correctly.I bought my new 2020 from another auto savers group dealership( which they are apart of) but definitely didnt make me feel like it. When I called, the person who answered was cold and distracted and really made me feel like they didnt want my business. Then when I brought the car up to have it serviced they didnt explain where the waiting area was and it wasnt obvious and they just ignored me as I am sure I looked like I had never been there before. Well they list goes on but my advice is just dont do business with this dealership they dont care or want your business if your not a VW.

I made an appointment to see Connor and take a look at some Mazdas. When I got in to the dealership Connor was very helpful as we walked through some options and I picked out a new CX5. I was visiting last week in Waterbury and my car lost power. I had it towed to Walker’s and their service was amazing! Not only did they squeeze me in, as I was leaving in two days, but they did an all-points inspection, fixed my car, washed it, and sent a free shuttle to pick me up! Everyone was so nice, also.

Better than shearer vw in burlington, but took a while with my car

This place is great! I didnt make a purchase this time, but I was helping my Co-Parent but a car. I was crunched for time, and had to leave for work halfway through. Customer Care expert Rod was open, direct, and very helpful. Thanks for treating us in such good faith!

My wife and I just purchased a 97 Miata from Walker just over two weeks ago. I took it in to be looked over by another shop a couple days later to just examine the state of the vehicle and perform any normal maintenance that might need to be done. Upon closer inspection we found that not only did 2 rear brake calipers and 4 brake pads need to be swapped(the rear brakes barely had any pad left), but there were 2 large bends in the frame below. See photos below.Trying to come to terms with this problem, I decided to just pay close attention to the car on the road and to move on. Just 10 days later the car stalls on me and starts making loud knocking noises. I pull over, check the oil (fine) and go home in frustration to deal with getting it towed the next day. Fast forward two days, the car is on a lift, sub-frame removed to inspect the crankshaft and lower parts of the engine and Im now being told Im better off buying a new engine.Two weeks in, Im going to have spent thousands on a car that Ive put less than 300 miles on. I understand used cars are used cars, but I figured Id reach out to see if Walker could offer any assistance given the unfortunate circumstance Im now placed in. After finally managing to get someone to speak with me, Ive been told theyll do nothing because it worked when they had it. I was even told initially that the undercarriage is in good condition. Did they not see the massive problems with the frame? I thought buying a Mazda from a Mazda dealership would imply the vehicle would leave the lot with brakes and last.Very dissatisfied, would not recommend!

My initial experience was not great only because I bought a used lemon from Walker. After a year and a half of dealing with it, I went back to the dealership and identified another car on the lot I wanted. I appreciated that the first people I spoke to could only offer a standard trade in and car price. From there they were very willing to send me to the management allowing me to make my case. I appreciate the management was willing to understand my situation and to look at making things right. I want to emphasis my initial issue was with that particular car, NOT the dealership. As a matter of fact, I found the service department to be super responsive and accommodating. I also found that the sales team worked with me and after reasonable back and forth, we came to an agreement where I only had to absorb a relative small portion of the financial burden for my lemon. The dealership absorbed the rest. In addition, the sales manager even helped me when at the final hour my bank messed me up with financing. He secured me a reasonable rate in a quick turn around time. I am happily driving my new (used) car and rid of the old one. I appreciate all the dealership did to make things right.

Worst service department that we have dealt with yet. They completely lied to us and refused to pass our vehicle after they told us that our breaks were good then came back with a $1000 bill extorting us to get our sticker. I cannot trust this dealership which is too bad because we recently moved to the area and were looking for a place to go.

Bought a used VW we had originally found online this past week, and thanks to Natalie, the process was as painless as possible. We purchased our car on Tuesday and opted to have our car delivered to us. Natalie was able to coordinate a drop-off to us (90 mins away!) by Saturday. The two-year and lifetime maintenance included in the purchase was a big bonus for us. Would recommend to anyone we know in the Montpelier area.I would rate them 5/5 if it werent for a series of minor mistakes that came into play, but as I said before Natalie handled it like a champ. So we drove down to Barre the day before we had to turn our TDI in, (Shearer had refused to hold a car for us, even with money down) and had hands down the BEST experience.
