Vacationing in coastal Maine (Acadia N.P. area) and started having brake issues. Local shops were unable to schedule service inside of 24 hrs. Had travel plans to Katahdin Woods & Waters area the next day, so called Quirk Hyundai to see if they could do the work as we traveled through Bangor. Doug in the service department was very understanding and said although they were busy, he would fit us in. He allowed time for our trip up from the coast and scheduled us for 10 am. Arrived on time and Ray was very helpful and straightforward regarding the necessary service, which was as I had anticipated (new pads/rotors on front axle). A courtesy shuttle was offered and the driver went out of his way to show us some points of interest before dropping us off downtown. The shuttle returned us to the service department and we were on our way north by 2 pm. The total cost was reasonable and within the expected range. In my experience, the service and attention we received at Quirk Hyundai was OUTSTANDING! Very thankful for how they treated an out-of-state traveler. And... we enjoyed our unexpected brief visit to the downtown area!

We had a good shopping and buying experience there. Salesperson did not try to push a vehicle on us. The showroom/sales area is a large open area with tall window walls, nothing crammed in. At the time of our visit it was slim pickings, we bought the last Santa Fe on the lot. They said they are selling over a 100 cars per month there during Covid, which they claim is unprecedented numbers for Bangor, Maine. We will most definitely visit them again for our next vehicle purchase.

Very good Buying experience. I got the Veloster N. The 275 HP Twin Turbo. What a nice fast car.Got a really good deal from AL. Just tell him Chuck sent you. Hes a decent, honest man and easy to work with. They have a great service department with free coffee, soda, fresh popcorn, clean restrooms, big screen TV and friendly people to help you. If you get a 2020 model auto you get 3 years of free maintenance.WHAT A DEAL!!!

Diagnostic skills are lacking. They clearly dont get what customer service is. Doug bean is a sarcastic a$$ and will treat customers poorly based on not wanting to accept warranty claims because we dont make as much money on those, just buy the parts yourself its faster this type of dealership is what gives car brands bad names.

We had to turn in the car yesterday that we had leased in Pennsylvania 3 years ago from the Hyundai dealer down there. We took it back to Quirk in Bangor and had a great experience. What a nice group of people! The process of returning the car was easy and we were done in 10 minutes and on our way thanks to the friendly and competent crew led by Mark Mallory at Quirk Hyundai. For your information we had a Hyundai Elantra for three years and it was a terrific car. Comfortable smooth riding and it got 35 miles to the gallon. Never let us down once. we liked it so much that we went out and bought a 2011 Hyundai Veracruz with 95000 miles on it. We were that confident that Hyundai is building great cars.We highly recommend Quirk Hyundai for your next car.

Went to get my free inspection sticker. Vehicle is a lease. Problem with my tires at 17000 miles. Really need all 4, but we can do two or one. $450 to $900 depending on my choice. Said I wanted a second opinion. Took my car to another well known auto repair shop. They found no problems and slapped an inspection sticker on it. In fairness, I have had no trouble leasing cars there, but I would never enter the service department unless I had money to burn.

Took my car in for some service, was told it would cost over a thousand dollars to completely replace my brakes. Took it a local mechanic instead, my brakes were totally fine. Avoid getting your car repaired or serviced here.

For warranty service, went in. They were able to get me in the next morning, and I waited while my vehicle was serviced. The friendly gentleman gave me a brief tour of the building and its free amenities to use while I waited. Free wifi, drinks, snacks, quiet areas. Perfectly climate controlled despite the raging heat outside. Very comfortable. Great service!

Weve purchased 2 vehicles through this company, because we like the Hyundai product. Our satisfaction stops there. I recently took our 1 year old vehicle in for what should have been a quick yearly inspection. Walked away being told I needed over $500 worth of work done in order for it to be inspected. I smiled as they told me this, knowing I was being lied to. Took our car to a trusted mechanic only for it to be inspected within minutes with no issues/concerns. Dont waste your time with the service department, unless you enjoy being lied to while throwing away money.

I have not loved dealer visits much, but this was a pretty relaxed visit, I did not feel pressured, and the staff felt genuine. I liked it better than the dealer in augusta I visited. Downside is that they were more expensive that in would like, much more than the same visit was with ford. The saturday service hours were really convenient.

First off let me start by saying that the service department got my vehicle fixed under an extended warranty that they had to get approved through corporate. I thanked them profusely for that by the way. But then they tell me my starter is finally dead like it was my fault. I had never had one issue with the starter until it was there. Instead of talking about it the service writer just said it was very convenient it broke there like I planned it or set them up to get a new starter after they ask me to come there to have recalls fixed on the car. There is much more to this story but My wife drove it there from Bucksport and now im having to have it towed some where else to get it fixed for 1/3 the cost. Thanks QUIRK thats some very special customer service your providing.

Beware when leasing a vehicle. Ask to see the DDS Contract Verification Sheet before leaving. We have excellent credit and are type a personalities. Keep all our ducks in a row, to a fault. We had a 36mo lease with 15k/yr, so we thought. Left the dealership in our new car with no issues for 3yrs. Turned in our lease, at term; with under 45k miles. To find out a year later our contract was never approved for 15k miles, but only 12k and we owe for the overage. Roughly $1500. Our signed contract says 15k but Hyundai finance says it was never approved by them. So we had a car for three years and never was contacted by Quirk telling us our lease wasnt approved. Hyundai Finance had no problem collecting the addl fee per month we paid for 15k. The funny part is, it looks like Hyundai credited us the addl fee we had paid but wants us to pay the overage. Dropping the amount owed to roughly $1000. We have made multiple calls to Quirk, told it is taken care of and still 2yrs later still unresolved. Now Quirk will not return calls. So I repeat, demand to see the verification before leaving. We are being asked/harassed to pay for Quirks mistake.

Absolutely terrible. I called at 12 in the afternoon. Said theyd call back soon. 3 hours later I call them and they tell me to come up. So I drive 45 minutes to see this specific overpriced car. I go there. Waste another hour just to get a low ball on my trade in. Defitnely not time friendly. The one guy I spoke with was nice but the gm of the building quite bleh. 0/10 recommend

When we leased an Elantra, the leasing experience was the least pleasant of many car purchase/lease experiences I have had. I have an 800+ credit rating and once upon a time sold cars so i am not a disgruntled uninformed buyer with bad credit. That was followed by service experiences so unpleasant and dishonest I began accompanying my wife to apppointments because some of the reasons she was given were outright lies (a hypothesis supported by several mechanics and even Hyundai) regarding how frequently regular services need to occur. When the lease ended we were thrilled to no longer have to deal with them; however, now I regularly receive calls and mail to sell me extended warranties, even though it has been nearly 2 years since the vehicle was returned. Clearly my information was sold. I have never had these experiences with other car purchases/leases. Now that we are in the market for a car for my son, we will look elsewhere, even if they have the car we want at the best price.
