We love taking our cars to Sullivan. This time especially, it was a work car and productivity is impacted by not having that car on the road. They fit us in even though we didnt have an appointment. They communicated effectively and efficiently with me throughout the process and set clear expectations for time and cost. Very friendly, good customer service and good work. Very happy, again.

I went in for a noise in my front driver tire, 1/2 expecting exactly what I was told by Charlie... I needed front brakes! 😞 BUT-- Sullivan Tire is AMAZING & PROFESSIONAL, so what Charlie told me next, I didnt expect, although I should have with Bangor Mall Sullivan Tire!! He told me if I left my car, hed make sure it would be done before end of day!! What?!? So, needless to say, I left my car and he called me just a few short hours later to say my car was ready!! The price was right! The timing was perfect, great service, and all completed in 1 day!! Now thats what I call, keeping a customer, even though Ive been a customer for awhile anyways..... 😀 And what I can also tell you, they were down 3 mechanics and still worked my car in... Sullivan Tire is my go to for GREAT vehicle service!!HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

After camping in Baxter State Park and running over a nail for the third time Sullivan tires came through! I now carry a compressor in my car because of previous issues. Looking at the tire, there was not only a nail, but the sidewalls had cuts in them. I was due for tires soon anyway and when I took my car to Sullivans for them to look at the tire I was told that it wasnt fixable because of the slashes. I decided to purchase a full set and they squeezed me in before they closed. I drove around on them a bit in the evening and then stopped back to have the lug nuts checked before my long drive back to Philly. They also checked fluid levels to make sure my car was safe to drive home and gave me recommendation to get my air filter changed after getting home.

The two employees who were there were extremely helpful. I had low expectations due to the last auto shop I visited trying to charge me nearly triple the normal cost for my repair.However, this couldnt have possibly been better. All I had to do was tell them I was looking for antifreeze for my car and they quickly helped me get the right product, and installed it for me. The price was better than I expected, the service was better than I expected, the speed was faster than I expected, Im being quite literal when I say they exceeded all my expectations, and definitely will have me coming back if I ever need other help with my car.

OK I took my truck to get my alignment from one of the big-name alignment garages and it was terrible it was wearing my tires unevenly and pulling to the right really really bad so after taking my vehicle to Sullivan tire my alignment is perfect so save yourself the trouble and take your vehicle to Sullivan tire they are professional they call you back as soon as your vehicle is done they don’t make you wait there exactly how a garage should operate. I was so impressed that I also aligned my girlfriends car at Sullivan tire because they’re honest and their prices are fair. Very happy

Great place. Been coming here for years. Just got a new set of tires for my truck, install was quick, no surprises..ready on time for the agreed upon price. I’ve had flats repaired here, alignments, suspension work, brake work and never had a problem...they honor lifetime service/road hazard packages with no hassles. The Staff is excellent, as is the courtesy shuttle I’ve used a few times. I’d recommend making an appointment for most things if it’s an option....contrary to a lot of places your car normally goes under the knife at the appointment time instead of sitting for hours.....have had nails in tires and slow tire leaks fixed without appointments in the past though. Keep up the good work.

I made an appointment and it wasnt put on the book.When I got there the guy couldnt find it on the books.So he said I would have to wait a couple hours to get my oil changed. He was not nice. Called the same place in Brewer and he told me to come right over. Very nice people there. Had my oil changed within a half hour. Thank you very much.

The service here started great. They promised to have my brakes fixed by the end of the day or early the next morning before my commute to work. The even offered to give me a ride home instead of calling a Uber. That’s where the great service ended. With the theoretical and abstract. When I dropped off my car they had me wait in the 82 degree parking lot for 45 minutes for a ride home. When they finally came to get me it was not to give me a ride home, but to tell me not only would they not finish the car by today or tomorrow morning, but the probably wouldn’t even look at it for two more days!! I ended up leaving with my car. They still call and leave me messages. I’m not sure why. They had their chance. A promise of good service is meaningless if there is no follow through. Sullivan tire does not follow through. Find another place to get your car worked on.

I had a near bad crash with one of their trucks cause driver didnt look. Im doing 55 in my jeep ended up locking up.brakes .then went over crub into field .called themTheir took care of repair bill I use their tired on all trucks n jeeps .good place to go

Company bought my tires there. Installing took a bit longer than I would have liked. Was told an hour and half to install tires, took two hours (one of which my car sat parked outside).

We had a flat tire in the middle of no where and this was the only place open at the time. They were more than accomodating and helpful. The service was fast and professional. We consider ourselves very lucky to have found this establishment. Highly recommended for any car issues big or small.

I called about getting a diagnosis for my car and they told me diagnosis’s started at $135. MAKE SURE YOU RESEARCH ALL YOUR OPTIONS BEFORE SPENDING THAT MUCH!!!! I found another amazing shop in Bangor that only charged me $25 for a diagnosis. Sullivan Tires shop rate is also $114.77 per hour, in case anyone was wondering.

It was a late in the day and I travel for work so I needed my tires rotated and an oil change and this told me it would take about an hour, went to a store close by (gone less than an hour) and my car was done. THANKS A BUNCH!!!!!

They were able to get our car in quickly though they tried pulling the wool over my daughters eyes in thinking they could say a lot of things were wrong to upsell a inspection sticker still charging a fee without giving a sticker !!

I have used Sullivan tire in the past but not the one over by Bangor mall. Needless to say I will not being going back. The employees are not very friendly and they aren’t very attentive to customers or the work they do. The lady at the front was less than amused that I came in. I did call in advance and was told to be there at 5 and that they didn’t close until 6. When she asked what was wrong with it and I told her the response was “Well I guess I can have somebody look at it.”I don’t think that anyone actually wants to be at a car repair shop. Especially after you have already paid a couple of hundred dollars to have it fixed. But I do expect it to be fixed and not made to feel like I’m an inconvenience for calling and making an appointment. This makes the 3rd trip for the same issue.

My wife and I have been taking our cars to Sullivans on Bangor Mall Blvd, before it was even Sullivans. Adam checked me in and A.J. (Allen) did the oil change and cashed me out. Regardless if it is a simple oil change like the last visit, getting a new set of tires (which we have done on our cars a number of times over the years) or fixing a major issue, they are always great at explaining what needs to be done and theyre ALWAYS conscious and help us save money whenever possible while maintaining the highest safety standards for our cars.I have recommended Harry MacDonald and Adam Edgerly and the rest of their crew to numerous people. Corrie Gormely is the newest person I know who works there and I watched one day patiently explaining a repair process to a friend of mine who is up there in years and helped my friend understand what needed to be done to maintain the safety of her vehicle.My wife and I trust the whole team at Sullivans and it gives us peace of mind knowing are cars are well cared for and safe.

Great quick service

We had a really great experience here @ Sullivan Tire thanks to ADAM EDGERLY (assistant manager). We took our car in for what we thought would be only a tune up but upon hearing our description of the problems with the car, he suggested we get a diagnostic test. Good thing he did, because our car was WAY worse than we expected! He called us before they did anything, broke everything down into part prices and labor prices and showed us the extent of what needed to be done. Rather than having us pay out of pocket a crap ton of money, he was HONEST and basically said You should probably junk this thing as opposed to other places that would have just taken all of our money and left us high and dry with a crappy vehicle that probably wouldnt have passed inspection. He treated us like human beings instead of just $$. Very VERY appreciative of him & this is why we will be returning to Sullivan for any work with our new car in the future.

They tell you like it is. No surprises here.

Wife getting a computer tune-up at Best Buy. I noticed Sullivan Tire. We had just come off of several Maine gravel/dirt roads ( Golden, K I, Katahdin Waters and Woods) in our Class C, DWR, motorhome. Tires seemed a bit squishy to me, so I popped in to see if they could check and inflate. I made it clear that I did not expect a free service. They checked as I waited and inflated to proper pressure. No charge. You folks have good time in Maine. We are from Atlanta. I wish I lived close enough to buy my next set of tires here.

When you call to get a qoute for a brake job they tell you that you can a free evaulation on them and then turn around charge you for it! And then give you a qoute that is just as bad as a dealership! If you want to pay dealership prices go here!

I went to Sullivans on Bangor Mall Blvd on Jan 4 for an alignment on my crew cab dually and asked if they did a full alignment or toe and go. Was told they do a complete alignment, which on my truck is front wheels only as rear are not adjustable. The printout they gave me when I left did not not show how out the alignment was before I went in, but showed the cambers both in the red, 0.2 degrees out of specs on the left and 0.1 degrees out on the right, and caster at negative 0.1 degrees out of specs on the left, and within specs on the right with 0.9 degrees difference side to side. Toe was almost right on, but steering wheel was riding at 10 oclock position, which they blamed on my idler and pitman arms. Ask them to fix it under their 90 day warranty and got an appointment a couple weeks out. I live an hour away, and 20 minutes before I was supposed to be there, they called and cancelled because the tech was out. Had a brand new idler and pitman arm put on by another garage in the meantime and torsion bars tightened up, and now 2.5 months later I finally got the truck back in to Sullivans. The printout they no gave me lists the camber for both sides now within specs on arrival (possibly due to cranking the torsion bars tighter during the interim) The papers list my drivers toe as being .01 out of specs again which they adjusted, but again did nothing to address the caster which got sent out this time worse than before, way in the red at 1.8 degrees out of specs in the negative on the driver, and 0.7 degrees out on the degrees in the negative on the passengers side, a full 1.1 degrees difference right to left which makes the vehicle drift. They again attributed the misaligned steering wheel on the brand new pitman and idler arms (Moog, installed 1 week earlier) as well as now say I have play in my steering box which they didnt say 800 miles ago. The truck only has 90k miles on it. I checked with several other alignment shops who confirmed that the caster will not cause tire wear, but will cause drifting on the road. When I asked Sullivans about this specifically, the only response I could get is that the camber and toe are the important thing.... caster is a non-wear item. It is however wearing on my arms driving a truck down the road that constantly drifts to one side and I have to turn the steering wheel the opposite way to go straight. It was the same technician both times per the number on my paperwork, #7097. Appears to me that all they did at the second appointment was adjusted the driver side toe 9/10ths of a degree and sent it back out. Incidentally, the truck also had all brand new sway bars, upper and lower MOOG balljoints, and tie rod ends installed before I took it to Sullivans the first time, to ensure everything was tight. Pitman and idler arm as well as idler bracket were replaced inbetween 1st and 2nd visit to ensure no room for excuses so job would be done right. I am of the persuasion that when I pay a shop $89.99 + tax for an alignment, that everything should be within specs and the truck should drive straight down the road when theyre done with it, and also that a shop who knows what theyre doing wouldnt make the mistake of saying you have play and slop in brand new week old MOOG parts, or sending it back out with the steering wheel crooked. Sorry to say I am not at all impressed.
