Buying our new washer and dryer was an amazing experience. Customer service was A+. After our washer stopped working and we were in a pinch Dunnetts was able to get us our new washer and dryer to our house and installed in a flash! Super impressed with the quality of our new appliances and even more impressed with the quality of the service. Would recommend to all for any appliance needs!

Our 20 year old washing machine finally gave out and after a few days of me trying to fix it myself, and a growing pile of dirty clothes, I went over to Dunnetts and received amazing service! I ask a ton of questions and they were patient and knowledgeable, helping me pick out a fantastic washer dryer set that we love! Delivery and installation was also prompt and professional! Definitely would recommend buying here over big box stores as they are locally owned, provide great service, and will come out and service your appliances if something does go wrong. Buy from Dunnetts! You wont be disappointed!

We Had Excellent Customer Service (when we were buying). Dunnett Appliance offered us competitive pricing. I purchased a free standing A/C, Refrigerator, Stove and a Range Hood.Unfortunately I had the misfortune of speaking with Amber this morning (October 27, 2021) which made me want to return ALL my appliances I bought and paid in full back in July 2021.We bought the LG line and we are having problems with the control units, the heating system (Doesnt not heat correctly.) I told her what was wrong and she insisted that it seemed to be too many issues happening all at once. (Obvious, right?) She also was adamant that if our circuit breakers went off that could affect the stove. I had to tell her 5 times we DID NOT have a circuit breaker failure.We did take pictures of the inside of the oven which showed them Model, Serial and other numbers pertinent to our situation. As requested by Dunnett, we gave them the information they were asking for.I spoke with Amber and she was rude, pushy, and told me that they ordered the control part awhile ago but since we live about an hour and 15 minutes away, she stated Dunnett Appliance will NOT send anyone to our home to fix the unit as they have no help.So as we waited for nothing for the past 4 weeks for this control part to come in, it seems apparent they dont care about the customer after you have made the purchase. We have been waiting for them to call us to let us know if the part had come in or not. Luckily I called myself this morning to find out what the hell was going on with our ordered part. Nothing....that is whats going on.At this point I told her i wanted to return the stove and she said I couldnt and that there only way I would see this problem corrected was to go thru LG Corporate. Sorry to the owner...but I will never be back. Atrocious!5 Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.

My husband and I went to Dunnett on Saturday July 3. We purchased a gas stove that needed to be converted for propane. The salesman told us it should be ready by Wednesday (July 7) afternoon or Thursday at the latest. No problem. My husband left work early Thursday to go pick up the stove at the warehouse. He called on his way in, and they told him it was not ready yet. We would get a call when it was. He called again on Saturday (July 10) to see if it was ready. It was not and was told the guy was on lunch break but he would get it converted and they would call when it was ready. I called today (July 12) and was told it was ready. The woman who answered didn’t know why we were not contacted or why it took longer than we were told it would. My husband went to pick it up and there was no slip for us and it was still not converted. The warehouse worker told my husband he could convert it while he waited, it took less than a half hour and once he got the slip faxed over to him to release it to us he was on his way home. We had to reschedule our propane company service call two times because they will need to come out and hook it up. There was no communication from Dunnett and no answers as to why we had to wait or why it was never converted. I work in the customer service business and if someone called us and was upset or complained, we take care of it with a call and rectify the situation. I don’t feel like this company really cares about its customers. We could have been repeat customers because our appliances are getting old and will need to be replaced soon. But after this experience and run around I would not go back or refer anyone I know to use them. If there was some communication from the company to us, we would have totally understood . But nothing and no sincere apology or concern for us.

We purchased a stove and refrigerator from Dunnetts in Bangor Maine and it was the worse experience I have ever had doing business in my life!! The refrigerator freezer had a long crack in it so called them up, they came got the refrigerator, 2 weeks later they delivered another one with the same crack! The delivery guys was so rude! We called them up and they admitted they dont check the appliances when they come in! Then they went on to say that crack is “normal”!!! At the same time we ordered another shelf fir the refrigerator, waited forever!! Months!! Finally came in and they ordered a shelf that doesn’t fit our refrigerator! We called them up and got a big attitude on the phone!! We will never ever do business there again!! Beware people!! Go to another store!!

We moved to Bangor in Oct. 2020 and have purchased 2 appliances from Dunnett. We are happy with both. Each time we did buy we compared prices with the Big Box Stores and both were within or exactly the same price. The delivery was free and the fellows who deliver are terrific. Replaced a broken oven at my apartment building, only to have it break a month later. Landlady and I talked to the company about having someone come to repair the oven, the repair man they sent only stayed for 5 minutes or so before leaving, saying he’d be back and order some parts. That was a month ago at least. He never came back, and repeated calls have gone straight to voicemail, or not been answered. Answering machine for the repair department promises a prompt return call. I called two weeks ago and have had 0 followup. My oven is still broken and cooking dinner is impossible.I’m seeing from other reviews and from talking with family and friends that this seems to be a pattern of behavior with Dunnett—Months of wait times for repairs, uncommunicative staff, general disarray and little care for customers. As someone in the customer service business, I’m frankly disgusted.

This was our second purchase and delivery from Dunnett. We bought a refrigerator last year and a gas range that just now got delivered. I have had an all around fantastic experience from beginning to end with this store. I’m so impressed by their price, sales and service AND their delivery men are great as well! I will definitely use Dunnett again.

I purchased a top-line range/oven, which was a big investment for me. The range worked great on the first day I had it. Then, on the second day, a Friday afternoon, when I tried to use the oven, I discovered that it wouldnt work. I called Dunnett and a technician walked me through steps to try. When that did not resolve the issue, they sent a technician out the next day, on a Saturday morning, to try to help. Unfortunately, it turned out the appliance had a factory issue, so it could not be fixed.The good news is they ordered me a replacement appliance and delivered it asap.While I wish I hadnt had an issue in the first place, I was very pleased with the prompt and empathetic customer service! Thanks, Dunnetts!I will definitely use them again since they proved to me that my satisfaction was their top priority.

I am new to the area, recently purchased a home and had to buy and replace a dishwasher, washer and dryer. Everyone was very friendly, not pushy. Their prices were comparable to the big box stores BUT their service including delivery and set up is less costly. They have an excellent reputation and completely live up to it! I will always stop here first!

My refrigerator died and the team at Dunnetts somehow found a way to deliver the refrigerator I picked out from the sales floor, the SAME day! Initially it was going to be a week until we could have the fridge, so I can’t say enough how much I appreciate the fast and friendly service! We went in because our oven was on the fritz and we wanted to replace our range. I had gone online and found Dunnetts prices comparable to the big box stores.We wanted to compare brands and features. The store was busy with customers, but after being there only a few minutes a sales lady approached us and asked if we had any questions. She wasnt pushy or overbearing. She was knowledgeable and helped us compare the features of the 3 ranges in our price point.I had heard they were busy and expected a delay for delivery, but since we live right in town, she was able to get us scheduled on a truck just 3 business days later.

Dunnetts is a great place to buy from. We have had our washer and dryer from them going on a year, and had to call recently for a user error and Peter helped walk us through it and get us back on track. Their staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I would repurchase from them in the future.

Went in and paid for all my new appliances for the new place. No discounts but if you need something you bought there serviced they will fix it. Home depot and lowes sell but service nothing. Thats worth forgoing a 10 percent discount.

I had ordered a bosch dishwasher from a big box store and waited four months for delivery. Although they kept me informed I started looking elsewhere because they said it would be twelve more weeks. The first location I checked was Dunnetts Appliances. I told them the features that I wanted and they found a model that was a good fit...that was on a Friday, they delivered on Monday. I couldnt be happier! The delivery folks were extremely nice and knowledgable. I highly recommend Dunnetts

As much as I love to support local businesses, I continue to be disappointed with Dunnett. Its almost impossible to get in touch with anyone in the service department and if you are fortunate enough to speak to someone, they always talk down to you. They straight out tell you in their voicemail to email them and good luck if they ever reply. I am sure I would be treated like a king if I was willing to spend thousands on new appliances but when I needed service on an item I bought from them, they couldnt be bothered. #shameful

I posted and removed a review about my damaged dryer from a few months ago. The review was very blunt, so I removed it, but I guess since the issue took place in April and still hasn’t been resolved I will repost it. Dunnett’s delivered me a new dryer on April 08, 2020. I purchased a new set from them for a total amount of $2,097.00. The set was delivered, and the delivery guy wrote on the delivery slip “Dryer top panel to be replaced for top side dent. New top ordered”. So, I waited a few weeks thinking that they were going to come fix it. Well they didn’t. They told me they cannot come service the dryer because of covid and they will have to come at a later time. So, I waited a few MONTHS and spoke with Andrea I think her name was but boy was she rude. She told me that she wasn’t sure when it was going to be fixed and basically told me my issue was not important and that they can’t come in my house. Needless to say, here it is 9 months later, and my dryer still has the dent in it. They offered my $200 to basically stop calling them and I didn’t feel that was enough. I wanted my dryer fixed. I reached out to my bank to try and dispute the transaction but of course since I have the dryer and they said I need to work with the merchant. So, if you are looking to purchase from Dunnett’s just make sure that you refuse the delivery if they bring you scratched or dented merchandise otherwise you are probably going to be stuck with it. If I could give them no stars I would for not servicing a product they sold. I will continue to reach out as instructed by the MASTERCARD company until this issue is resolved. Please look forward to my reviews on a monthly basis until the issue is resolved

Poor service. Got sucked into buying a mattress just to find out that they dont even have one in stock except the floor model. Put half down to order 1, 4 weeks goes by and they still wont even attempt to make a call to find out an estimated delivery. NO THANKS, Ill take a refund!

Terrible service. I bought a washer and dryer from them. When they installed them, they left the washer crooked and sticking out from the wall because the drain hose was too short. They didnt call to say that there was a problem, they just left it like that. When I called that afternoon after returning from work, the person on the phone initially was like, sometimes the hoses are short. After I said that nobody would be satisfied with a washer left out of place (especially considering that the washer it was replacing had no issue being there), they agreed to get someone out there to fix it. That was the last I heard from them. I was all set to buy a refrigerator and stove from them but not after this service. I cannot recommend them.Follow up:I believe that the measure of a company is best noted when a mistake is made. How they handle it says a lot about them. That being said,I got a call from a woman named Amber who was incredibly understanding, concerned, and professional. By the end of our conversation, she had set things more than straight. Mistakes happen and sometimes things fall through the cracks...it looks like I did. I found her concern absolutely genuine and at no time did she ever ask me to change this review. This is done on my own volition. My faith in Dunnetts is restored. In fact, I am going to be getting another appliance next week. I have edited my review from 1 to 4 stars plus added this follow up piece.

My 18 month old LG fridge had a leak and was not cooling well. Dunnetts was prompt in sending out someone to diagnose it and arranging for someone from Ellsworth to come fix it. I do wish they had a refrigerator repair person on staff so it could be done more promptly. They provided a loaner fridge as well which was much appreciated and helped me work with LG to have parts and labor covered even though labor was no longer under warranty. Thank you Amber!

They have their own service department, they are efficient and professional with repairs. I have purchased over 8 items from this company and thought it was best to buy local. With my experience today I have been so sadly mistaken for their customer service. I have never had a service call from this company but with this said I have purchased my item for my 2nd home, which is just getting installed and have asked for a service call to see what the issue is. Service call $130.00 normally and since it has been so long to install my dishwasher, which is brand new, they stated $85.00 for a service call. Hundreds of dollars to this company. Yes I understand it has been 10 years but really this is why you buy local for service.

We purchased a supposed top of the line $1200 KitchenAid dishwasher with the brand new dynamic wash arm system about 8 months ago and have had nothing but issues with it since day one. It is not getting our dishes clean and is leaving a hazy film on our glassware. On top of that, it is not drying properly. We never had these problems with our old Bosch dishwasher that we had for nearly a decade. Dunnetts has been to our home multiple times for this issue and replaced a part on it 2 months ago, but that still did not fix the problem. All that we want is a replacement. We will even accept a replacement of the same model. The one that we have is clearly a lemon. This dishwasher is still well within the 1-year warranty and we were told at the time of purchase that if we ever repeatedly had the same issue with it within the first year, the dishwasher would be replaced. Well, they are now refusing to honor this and simply want to refund us and come get the dishwasher, leaving us hanging without one. The email that I received from Jack yesterday stated, Im sorry, but Im not willing to take a chance on a second one. Excuse me??? This dishwasher is still UNDER WARRANTY, which covers replacement! This dishwasher is a LEMON and we expect the warranty to be honored and it to be replaced. Refunding us and coming to get the dishwasher (leaving us hanging without one) is nothing more than a totally cowardly cop out because they dont want to deal with it anymore, and we are NOT going to allow them to get off the hook that easily. Jack Eisentrager should be downright ashamed of himself. Customer satisfaction should ALWAYS be the #1 top priority. If a customer is having repeated issues with a product that you recently sold them and they request a replacement, YOU REPLACE IT, no ifs, ands, or buts. We are not going to waste any more of our valuable time having it repaired over and over again, only to have it go out of warranty come November and be stuck with it. We thought that we were dealing with an ethical, honest locally owned business, but obviously we were wrong. We should have gone to one of the big box stores. I guess we will see what the Maine Consumer Protection Bureau has to say about this.
