My first time using a moving service and thanks to Google I found Shields Movers! Called yesterday and was able to schedule my move for the next day. They moved an antique piano and took the time to properly wrap and protect the piano for safe transport. They were friendly and kept me in the loop throughout the process. Highly recommend!

Make sure you read the fine print before signing or else you will not any leg to stand on it says prices on their quote but contractors will give you a different price which I understand if it takes longer for a move but less time for a job I guess you still be paying for that set time on the site. Unfortunately I made the mistake of signing and thinking customer service would be more professional, but thought wrong the pressures of moving to another state can be a hassle but according to this owner doesnt matter. If you signed thats it, the understanding and sympathy is at absolute 0. So Im sure the owner will response to this saying Im unreasonable, but I will not be recommending anyone to this service. Hopefully some one sees this review on google and shop around instead of using this unprofessional company.

I made a huge mistake and chose this company for moving as I have planned my moving for the weekend. Unlike other companies, they asked for a down payment to confirm the moving. I made the mistake and paid the down payment( half of the moving expense) and received their confirmation in my email.Interestingly, nobody showed up . Movers were not responding at all. costumer service guy was not able to reach out to the supervisor. The supervisor texted me back after 2 hours without explaining any apology or explanation about why they have not showed up.so I had to look for some other people for help in a very short time as all my plans went in smoke.DO NOT CHOOSE THIS COMPANY IF YOU WANT A CONVENIENT MOVING SERVICES!DON’T PAY THE DOWN PAYMENT, as they will do whatever they want to you and your schedule.P.S: after leaving this review, I received this text message from their manager:“ You have a very horrible attitude, and you are nasty! “

I used Shields Movers to assist a few of my clients. They made the process really easy and were very flexible, which is great when you are trying to coordinate with a client, pick-up site, and movers schedule. For the last move I did with them, the pickup site closed due to COVID, and Shields were patient regarding the move and honored the original quote from months ago. When the pick up site opened back up, I was able to get the move set up with ease and the client was happy with the services. Although I did have issues with one move, the owner contacted me directly and we were able to come to an understanding and since then I have had no issues with this company. During the last move, the movers came not only on time, but early. they also communicated well with me since I was not at the pick up site to make sure they were getting the right items. They also let me know as soon as the move was completed. The last job went really well and was a stress relief for me, so for that I give them a 5/5 and hopefully that holds for the next move. Overall, I look forward to using their services again for my clients needs.

I thought this company was too good to be true. It wasn’t expensive and they helped me a great deal with all the heavy items that I wouldn’t have been able to do on my own. They promised and delivered everything they said they would. I have a good feeling they will!

I had them pack up my apartment and I wasnt sure how big a storage space I needed but they were honest and put me in a smaller space which was such a great rate. Plus I like the pictures that I can see of my stuff. I recommend to everyone!!

Shields was exceptional and professional! They surpassed all of our expectations. They moved ALL of our items (including king size bed, 7pc sectional couch, washer/dryer, huge dresser with mirror, crib) and their price was LESS than half of what the other guys charge. Dont think twice about these guys; if youre looking for a moving company who cares and wont rip you off, Shields is the way to go. We had tons of last minute requests and they accommodated without question. They even supplied junk removal for us which was helpful! Very reliable, they gave us a time they would load up and they were right on time. They even provided GPS location when they were headed to our new house to drop the items off. Roundtrip was 6 hours and they didnt even bat an eye. Shields, I cannot thank you enough! Thanks for coming through and helping us move to our new home. I cannot recommend these guys enough!

Unreliable! Imagine making a reservation one month in advance and making a $100 deposit to secure it. Imagine confirming the reservation a week in advance and being told everything is good to go then on the day of your move noone shows up. Thats what happened to me yesterday with this poor excuse for a moving company. Plus he had the audacity to be hostile to me on the phone when he put me in a very bad spot with no time to seek alternative help on my own. He ended up contracting the move to another moving group who arrived 4 hours after my scheduled time and although I suffered damage to my furniture, I was grateful because I was desperate. Moving is stressful enough. Trust me when I tell you that you cannot rely on Shields Moving to keep to their word and show up for you on your moving day. Beware!
