Awesome neighborhood hardware. Has everything you need. Along with excellent customer service!
People are nice but the store is not well stocked. Great for some plant additions (lots of natives) but if Im doing a plumbing job and need a specific piece of cpvc, or just a very specific thing in general, I generally just go to Lowes. I feel like I find what I need for home repairs maybe 3 out of 5 visits. But the plants are good.
Great service and extremely friendly staff. One of their employees helped me set up my number plate and did not charge. Must recommend
Dont go everything too expensive
Needed to have keys copied and not only was Waverly Ace open, it was fully staffed. I was greeted as I came in and the young man didnt just point me to the location where keys are cut, he walked me back and did the job himself while I roamed around the store and shopped. The gentleman who checked me out was so nice, as was his orange cat assistant.
Never had anything less than good service here, most of the time its great, beyond great.I shop at ACE because the associates are knowledgeable and helpful, and are willing to take the time to set you on the right path, even on a
Overall good service. However there needs to be some type of line organizing for the key cutting area people come and stand and not realize others have been waiting already. A nice sticker on the floor would help
Garden staff member was unhelpful after he asked he asked me twice if I needed assistance. He never came to see what assistance I needed. When I called him on his lack of help, he tried to turn the table and act like I made the error. The female manager was not of much help either when I reported the incident. Sunday afternoon May 16, 2021. Whatever happened to costumer service? Oh, oh can I help now? No, I’m leaving. There are too many stores for you to be disrespectful. I can stop somewhere else. Green mount store location.
Horrible experience! Women in the garden center utterly rude. I tried to purchase red mulch for my garden. Im assuming because my boyfriend and I came in ten minutes before closing they felt it was okay to do so. They treated both him and I as if we were peasants. The women in the garden center yelled at me for not knowing about the mulch purchasing rule. I typically shop at lowes and I didnt know that I had to purchase upfront before picking the mulch up. I put the mulch in my cart myself then was stopped by her. My boyfriend had a similar experience with a gentleman upfront. Please work on your customer service. ACE is not the place or the helpful hardware store.
I was going to the Waverly location about once a week to satisfy my newfound plant interest and will be taking my expensive hobby elsewhere. Literally anywhere else. I can deal with the price gouging, but wont be returning for the treatment Ive experienced on several occasions, and the lack of acknowledgement my black best friend receives every time we shop there. The woman with the gray hair was so unbelievably unpleasant after being completely unhelpful that not only will my therapist be hearing about this, and that Im leaving this review
The staff here is very friendly and helpful. My favorite place to find new and unique planter pots 😊
It has the feel of a home town hardware store, the employees know just what you want and are very friendly. They take the time to remember your name and have any item you could ever need.Their merchandise is on par with the bigger stores but with the feel of a family business.I recommend this place to anyone who has a major project or just stopping by to grab a few things you might need.Great customer service and affordable prices.
They have every and anything you need when it comes to plant flowers tools keys made soft drinks a beautiful cat and the greatest customer service Ive ever had since Ive been dealing with store their customer service is always on point I dont care what time of day or night I go to hear that customer service is always on point in the cashier to the guide to the cupid made helping you take your package into your car great customer service a lot of businesses need to learn from Ace Hardware Store
I live closer to the Fed Hill location, but Waverly is far superior. Though, the walk is far, on rare occasion Ill make the excursion all the way out there only because I know Waverly will have what Im looking for.
Nice store but small. Has most items. Helpful staff.
Great selection of plants and planters at very reasonable prices.
Will never go back. Staff was unbelievably unhelpful in a store that is hard to navigate and find desired items. Clerk was more interested in cell phone and drinking soda than checking out customer correctly.
Visit the store this morning had keys made about four of them none of them worked have to go back and have them to recut keys a inconvenience but the store was clean and the store sales associates very nice
I actually love the store but honestly the prices are high
Very convenient location. A wide selection. A bit pricey to me.
Not the fastest or cheapest but they have what you need.
This is a store that have as employees all pigmentations and that is heart changing and a superb servant hood
Absolutely the best hardware store. Folks working here are so helpful and kind, even though with everything going on. They helped me find what I needed quickly. They really went above and beyond, and I really, really appreciate it. Great prices, too.I cant imagine going anywhere else for any hardware needs I might have!
This is a great Ace. The help is knowledgeable and willing to help. They usually ask me if I need help before I need to find them. The prices are average. So glad to have this place nearby in the city.
Very helpful, made my experience with them pleasant and easy.
The nicest workers I’ve ever encountered.. in my life! I will always come back to this Ace!They are super dog friendly and helpful!
The neighborhood hardware store everyone wishes they had! If Waverly Ace Hardware is in your realm, patronize them! They have a LOT, always a a friendly employee to help. Every single encounter has been positive with coworkers being competent & kind. It can be slightly more expensive than big box stores, but SO MUCH BETTER (Rustoleum paint same $) The coworkers & management care about you as a customer, rare in this time!Case in point, my fiancé left his cell phone on the counter right before they closed. We KNEW it would be ok as long as it was inside, no nerves overnight-RARE!! (Not only was the employee super-helpful even though closing up, he kept the phone safe to be picked up the next morning.) HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
A nice all around hardware store..and very helpful
Good for something quick if you live in the neighborhood and Home Depot and Lowes are too far away.
Really good customer service. We went in found what we were looking for with the help of staff. They are definitely practicing social distancing.
Very helpful and friendly always glad to shop at Ace Hardware.
Easy to find things and the staff is very helpful! Plus I love the cat🥰
Great service always! Assistance for all projects. Hidden nursery in back with knowlagable staff and great pots and potting soil.
I had great courtesy service and the two keys I had made worked perfect unlike yhe two I had made at Home Depot while I waited walked the isles they were neat in stock and clean the checkout counter lady was very friendly i could tell she loved her job Great service unlike The Home Depot
Exceptional customer service !
The staff here knows what they are doing. Their advice is always extremely helpful. They always offer help. They can help you find what you are looking for but also advise on your project.
Crowded but organized and they follow covid guidelines..sometimes the $5 discount cards that come by mail dont work.Good selections
This is the best place to shop! People are so helpful. They have everything.
The friendliest, best little hardware store around! They always have the difficult to find stuff and they offer to special order whatever they dont have. We moved out of the neighborhood 2.5 years ago and still make the special trip to come to this Ace. We love shopping here!
My neighborhood Hardware store is fantastic. Its friendly and inviting and they have a good amount of products that if you need something quick you can get it there. Friendly people, great atmosphere, good products.
This is my favorite store - even more than Target. I get my hanging flower plants here and random tools whenever I need something. The coworkers are so nice and helpful. They always have weird little knick knacks, environmental friendly stuff, and support local businesses. The best part is the store cat Benjamin!
So helpful! There are several Ace stores closer but I will probably go here in the future. I’ve been looking for a particular product and have been to or called several stores without success. But one phone call to this store helped me tremendously and saved me several more phone calls and visits and now I have a plan to hopefully get what I’m looking for when it’s back in stock.
Great spot for all your handy work needs
Benjamin 🥺❤️
Had a better selection than the ace hardware I normally go too
This is the best hardware store in the city, hands down, and possibly the best hardware store Ive ever been to. The customer service is unparalleled. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and respectful. They are always willing to help without being patronizing (or creepy- looking at you Home Depot). I absolutely love this place!
I love going to this ace their staff is always willing to go the extra mile to help you keep it up!!!!!👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
Such a great store with an amazing staff. Personally, I love it for the great plant and pot selection but it truly covers all the bases.
Great local hardware store. A short walk/drive from local neighborhoods. Super helpful staff. Store has a handsome resident cat. Great aisle of bolts and screws and any fastener you can imagine. Otherwise, good selection but not in the same league as big box home improvement stores on price and variety of selection.
What a neighborhood hardware store should be: Friendly, knowledgeable, and well stocked. Glass cutting is super- the double thickness glass is what was used in older homes as standard, thats what you want. The antithesis of the soul-less big box home improvement stores. Everything has its place, but the vibe here is what you are looking for.
Very satisfied with the purchases of house paint supplies. Ace has a reputation for being a bit pricey, and while that does apply to many items, I was able to get exactly what I needed at what I thought were great prices. The sales staff is courteous, and knowledgeable. Im entering phase two of this project and already theyve been able to answer questions about product availability and pricing over the phone. Not sure if they will have exactly what I need, but I have enough information to warrant going there first. Great job!!
The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. I have much better success here than at Home Depot or Lowe’s. The plants here are phenomenal too. They are all picture perfect and they do not die when I get them home! An all around positive experience.
Nicest people, its always great to get awesome service when youre working on stressful projects! Ill definitely be back!
Friendly, knowledgeable staff; solid selection, they likely have what you need. Theyve expanded their outdoor /plants zone which is also awesome for us local gardeners. Love this store.
Customer service is great
They were helpful there.
While they don’t have it all, they’ve got a lot! Staff is usually very helpful, and the recently expanded garden section out back is great. They match and mix paint well, have lots of hardware available (nuts, bolts, etc.), and have one of the chillest store cats you’ll ever meet.
Great place
This store offers every reason to avoid Home Depot or Lowes while being far more efficient than the few smaller Ace and independent hardware stores. This place is fabulous they have everything and the people are first-rate
Ace Hardwares are great stores, usually staffed with knowledgeable folks who like what they do. This outpost is no exception. The staff is amazing, the expanded garden center is an oasis (chickens! A pond!) and the still have s full service counter where they cut keys. Parking, too!
Everyone is always professional and helpful...Even the surly paint guy. Someone please give him a snack or something...Seems like hes always having a bad day...
Staff is very informative and kind. A great, great alternative to a box store.
I have lived in Charles Village for over 20 years and love the fact these folks moved into the neighborhood. While they might lack a few of the choices of the big box stores, they make up for that and more in their customer service and willingness to order what you need. They have a garden center and off LP gas exchange for my grill. They also sell Christmas trees. A total win. Plus - they have the cat, always a nice touch.
Enjoyed every mintue of my shopping
Very organized. Close to home, too. Great for smaller projects, tools, and accessories.
Small, but well stocked. Great little nursery in the garden center too.
Horrible store. High priced, unhelpful staff, and the products are the cheapest available. Not worth the time.
Great selection. I particularly love the garden center - they have so many different flowers, hanging baskets, and beautiful pottery. Everyone who works there is always friendly and able to help.
Great local hardware store! All of the staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. Their selection may not have everything you need, but theres enough that its such a great convenience to have in the area.
Very friendly staff. Really helpful. Nice place.
The commitment to customer service -- unfortunately so rare these days -- is consistently a priority here. So grateful to have Waverly Ace HW as an option in the City so I dont have to drive out to the county for a big-box HW store. EVERYONE at the Waverly Ace is GREAT. On my most recent visit, the young woman at the register knew precisely where to send me to find what I was looking for. When I came back to the registers with my purchase she was helping another customer -- not with a transaction so much as with a plumbing question. When another associate saw shed be held up, he quickly came to the other register to speed me through. I went to find the floor manager to pass along my appreciation. Everyone is polite and helpful and seems to feel like its a big deal customers are shopping in the store that employs them. How refreshing. I dont know how Ace finds and trains these great employees...but its a model that should be replicated.
Well as usual the products are great. But I get a feeling the nee help are not focus on customer service as was . Especially the female cashier at the time of purchase never ask me for my rewards info. So u just bought it n left
A very good ace. A true service to the community. They’re good at following you around and they have a really great kitty.
Very organized. Nice staff !
I went for paint... And found a bunch of other stuff I needed that I didnt know they carried. So that was good. Clean store.... Organized.... Friendly and helpful staff
Lots of stuff despite its nice size. Friendly staff. Friendly cat
Very friendly and helpful staff. Good neighborhood hardware store with a cat greeting you. A little pricey compare to Home Depot or Lowe’s but convenient location.
Horrible customer service. Rude employees and senior management that justifies their behavior.
It is quaint and well staffed. Everytime I visit here i am greeted warmly and assisted promptly and efficiently.
Very friendly and helpful local hardware store. Get an Ace reward card and regularly get coupons mailed for $5 off or 10% off.Three interesting points: can exchange sodastream canisters, only Benjamin Moore paint shop I know in Baltimore city, and a cat that guards the store.
It tiny place to go too
Incredibly friendly, incredibly helpful, and they always have everything I need. Way better than a big box store.
This is a great hardware store! When originally opened, the staff was often ignorant and sometimes downright rude. Then something changed. Now, the staff is knowledgeable, polite, understanding, and very friendly. I am usually greeted as an old friend. Why drive miles to Home Depot when most items are available just around the corner? (The cat, Benjamin Moore, is another delightful member of this wonderful team).
Nice place
Great variety of items. The staff are knowledgeable and the prices are reasonable
Nice clean store. They are called a Garden Center but their knowledge and selection of lawn mowers could be better. Very friendly and helpful.
No serious wait time. Well stocked. Had dulicate keys made. Checkout was swift. Chilly but efficient customer service.
This is the friendliest most helpful store ever. Filled with customers at 5:30 pm on a Sunday! Not hard to believe. What a great visit!
This is the definition of what a great, local store can be. Staff is always super nice and super helpful - youre greeted unfailingly by smiling staff members offering help. Its practically shocking in this day in age - most of us are used to and almost want to be left alone when shopping - and the staff is OK to leave you alone too if you refuse help. But if you are trying to fix something around the house and dont know what youre doing, they come through on Aces advertising - its the place with the friendly hardware folks. (FYI on Ace - its not actually a chain like the Depot, or even a franchise - its a purchasing and advertising co-op, so Aces are locally owned and operated and maintain more independence than chains or franchises.) I went in recently and rather than be directed to aisle x, the person walked there with me and made sure we found the item I was looking for together, this after helping me find exactly the hardware I needed to adapt some plumbing in my home. They are small and so a little hard for them to compete with the Depot on pricing and selection, but for small needs and problems where you need real, actual service, theres no alternative. You just cant help but leave this place without feeling good, so I prefer it for most trips if I think theyll have what I need. Bonus is their location works well for me - there arent any other hardware stores nearly so convenient in the northern part of the city. Definitely recommended. Oh, and, say hi to the cat.
I love this hardware store. Its pricey but jam packed with goodies. I feel good here
Best Customer service and the staff was very helpful, friendly and attentive. Highly Recommend!!!
Friendly, helpful staff that knows where items are. Being in the city makes up for price difference. No lumber over 8ft. Ace has items available that big box stores dont have.
Ace hardware Always has what I need- fuses for my fusebox
Customer service is great. Employees are very helpful! Donte was a great help!
Waverly Ace is my helpful hardware place. My go-to for the quickly needed things.
Every time I go in the staff is attentive and friendly. Its pretty small for a hardware, but they always have what I need. Clean store, and I love the cat!
Love the coupons that were mailed. I enjoy getting a discount on important household items
Knowledge, helpful, courteous employees made this a very pleasant experience even when looking for an exotic item like Tung oil or Unicorn Spit!
First time ever...bad service. For prices they charge I dont expect that. Wont be back. I rather drive to home depot. Convenience is not everything
Excellent locally owned hardware store. Good selection. Adorable tabby 🐱
