Great place to find electronics needs with people/employees knowledgeable of the products they sell and willing to educate you whenever you need more information. So sad they are out of business. Thank you for the excellent service Paul and Tish.
They are a true electronic parts store. I love to go there when I need something to fix or finish a project. Plus I get some better Ideas. Unfortunately I was there today and they are going out of business. I will truly miss them.
As an amateur electronics hobbyist I like to build circuits and all. They are a bit pricey. I found better deal on Amazon and other sites online
I have bean going hear for about 10 years now. They always have the things I need on such short notice. The prices are a bit high, but hey I understand the need for convenience and Business. I will always continue to go hear on a have to need basis.
This may be one of the last electronics (parts) stores around today. Its a bit far for me when I need something at the last minute, but I stop in when Im in Towson for supplies like solder wick, heat shrink tubing and other odds and ends. This placed has saved my butt a few times. No wholesale prices, but its a brick and mortar store. Very helpful staff that knows what theyre doin! If youre into electronics stop by!
On my first visit, I was impressed by the wide variety of tools and parts, many of which are difficult or impossible to find in stock at a physical store. There were only a few items I was unable to find. The employees are uncommonly knowledgeable and helpful. The main downside is that the prices are rather high.
I have been going there since the seventies. The folks are knowledgeable. They understand audio, electrical, breadboard and DIY people.
I wasnt 10 steps in the door and without even asking I was pointed to exactly where I needed to go. I found my parts and was out the door with the right stuff in less than 15 minutes. Highly recommend.
Id really like to give a nice mom & pop shop like this a good review. Unfortunately, its an old store with old outdated parts. If your trying to make a 1980s board this might be the shop for you. And old chemicals and rosin and such tend to degrade. I dont want to buy something covered in dust (yes, they have a lot of stuff so old it is covered in dust). In addition, I asked for tip tinner/cleaner, and was asked back why I would need it, and told that they never heard of it. Hell, radio shack even sells it.
Great old fashioned electronics store. Going out of business sale. Last day 31 DEC 2016.
Local electronics shop. Has tons of buttons, lights, and electric components, and wire. Some nice tools too.
Outstanding supply store for electronics. Everyone working there is friendly and knowledgeable!
I love shopping at this place. They seem to have everything Im looking for, and plenty of things i had no idea i needed.
Absolutely excellent selection of just about everything electronic I want!
Amazing place. Wish Id known of it before I heard it was closing down.
UPDATE: Unfortunately, Baynesville has gone out of business. Of course, this is sad but was probably inevitable. They were one of last/best independent electronics-enthusiasts hobby shops with an incredibly knowledgeable and helpful staff; Im guessing they finally succumbed to Internet competition as well as the Microcenter down the street (whos service has noticably declined -- at least Im my personal experience -- since Baynesvilles closing). They will be missed by many, though clearly not enough.Baynesville is probably one of the few true electronics (ie., electronic components) retail stores still around, and the staff (usually the owners) are pretty knowledgeable about their inventory. If you have a hobby that involves the use of a soldering iron, they are definitely worth checking out.
I would really like to give this store a better rating but I cant. I grew up with this store in my neighborhood and only until a couple years ago realized its potential. The employees are the shining star of this place but their selection is horrible. Their parts are outdated and every damn time I go in there, they dont have what Im looking for. They definitely have the brand name but theyve decided to not support the modern, open source hardware thats exploding all around them. I was shocked to see that they had an Arduino in their case (1 Arduino) that was already opened and I asked how much it was. They told me $70. I asked them why was it so much and they said youre paying for convenience. They have to know that I could go a half a mile away to MicroCenter or RadioShack and get one for $25.Again, their staff is very knowledgable but I think I would like it more if I was repairing old tvs or something. They could gain a whole new generation of customers if they catered to the Arduino, Raspberry Pi and Beagle Bone clientele.
I have been going to Baynesville Electronics since 1995. They have managed to maintain excellent service and have a large number of discrete electronic parts as well.
Knowledgeable staff and took CC over the phone
Expensive but they have all the tech parts you can dream of.
Expensive, limited selection, hard to get to. Unless you need a rare part today at any cost, there are better options out there.
I have been doing business here since 1971 and never had a fault to find with anyone on their staff.
If you need parts, this is the place to go. If they dont have it, they know how to get it. Puts most other electronics stores to shame.
Helpful people, lots of variety!
